The owner was incredibly disrespectful to me and my roommate when we called to ask a simple question after just spending hundreds of dollars with this company yesterday. I have never in my entire life been treated so poorly by a company let alone the “owner” of said company. He told us that he wasn’t interested in helping us and to “prime the furnace yourselves”, and even went as far as trying to take advantage of us because “we’re just college students”. Complete disregard for his customers and I will ensure that none of my friends or family give this man business EVER again.Lastly, in regard to Ryan’s review below(my roommate) the owner is literally lying in his reply to Ryan and you should all be aware of this to understand how deceitful and cunning he is.1. Ryan was home when the company showed up; and they never gave him a phone call after he specifically requested they call him when they arrive (as they usually do so the homeowner can let them in). I will gladly post pictures of Ryan’s recent calls to EXPOSE this man and his lies.2. He never said that he would send someone out to prime it if we wanted, in fact he told us the exact opposite. Direct quote “ I will not be sending someone out to prime your oil, figure it out yourself”.So many options for oil in the area, please choose one that treats you like a customer, and with respect.

Reitz has filled my oil tank 3 times now and every time I call in to place the order they are consistently a pleasure to speak to. High energy, enthusiastic, and you can hear the smile behind their voice. Every time. They dont try and push a subscription every time I call in either. I just make a call, they deliver within a few days, and done. Im a customer for life.

I would not recommend this place to anybody they love to take your credit card information from college student and charge them more for what they are getting, I spoke to the owner then and he was the most rude person I have ever spoke with in my entire life just because I am only 21 years old and they think they can rip off college student and literally told me to “prime the furnace myself”.

They were very quick and responsive. And always laugh at my bad jokes.

If you are looking for a fabulous oil price to keep your home warm as well as your heart we 100% RECOMMEND REITZ OIL CO. Since we moved into Millersville in 2016 they have been serving our home and doing a phenomenal job! After reviewing all the excellent information Mr. Jesse provided us through email we placed an order for 400 gallons today through the normal payment plan (since we have 2 oil tanks Mr Jesse advised us this was the best direction for us not the budget plan). We are getting amazing savings on our oil price compared to last year since were buying in Summer instead of Fall and because the market is in our favor. Either way we love doing business with Reitz Oil Co a family owned, operated local business. TWO THUMBS UP FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES :)

Thanks to Reitz, I all but forget we have oil heat. They show up periodically throughout the cold season and top off our tank, then automatically bill the charges to our credit card. Such a wonderful service to have! Their staff have been friendly and helpful every time Ive interacted with them. Cant recommend these guys enough!

I love this company. The staff are extremely friendly, professional, and are one of the few oil companies in Lancaster that seem to care about what they do. They are great communicators and are a pleasure to do business with. They have always had competitive prices especially for being a more local company. I would recommend Reitz over any of their competitors as Ive only had excellent experiences with them whereas Ive had pretty lackluster experiences with other companies in the area.

We need a quick delivery of 100 gallons and they were out the next day without hesitation. After the brutal cold we realized we were running low and they came through again when most other companies wouldnt even deliver at all to new customers. Always A+++ service!

Reitz Oil review---This was my first year for the company. I had them come to fix a heating problem in the basement and clean my furnace. The bill was $345. which I thought was outrageous. I was angry. Too angry to call, as I would have been nasty on the phone. A few days later a Reitz man called me. He asked about the bill. I told him (very calmly)that I was very angry about the amount. His first comment was sarcastic. I have never had a person from customer service behave in such a manner. I will not be back to them for a second Year. I am canceling the service - paying off the bill--and finding another company!

I have never found a heating oil distributor that cares as much or works with the people like this company. Keith and Linda are very helpful and kind. Absolutely no reason to go anywhere else!

We found Reitz 2 years ago after an unhappy experience with another local oil provider. Reitz has been a saving grace- prompt, courteous, and even came out in the same day when I made the beginners mistake of letting my tank run dry in February. The service folks also patiently guided me through my convoluted questions about how to read and understand my gauge on this double-tank system, making feel much less like the moron I probably sounded like.I am so grateful for their service and that we are still in their coverage area! We couldnt be happier for their help!

It saddens me that I was treated so poorly, I was a customer for a number of years, and on my last call to fill my oil tank I was insulted terribly! I was told in order for the driver to come out to my home that day I must give them “$40.00 in cash”. This concerned me, as that is not an honest business practice. I understand an additional charge for emergency service but not an under the table charge of cash. I was then told by “Lauren” in an offensive sarcastic tone that I should have been more prepared about the call for the delivery. As a customer who spends quite a bit of money per year on home heating oil, I was very very hurt and offended. Prior to my call I actually saw I was at 1/4 of a tank the week before and was watching daily so that I did not need emergency service however the gauge went down within a week and unfortunately I noticed it on a Saturday, and did not call intentionally until the next business day, which was a Monday. I called back to let the owner know that I was offended by his receptionist/daughter. He said that’s okay, we don’t want your kind anyway. Good to know they are so busy and that I am not important to their business. I work hard for my money and am grateful to see this family run businesses true colors. Obviously I would never recommend this type of treatment to anyone. I am not paying money to be insulted and treated in a less than professional manner with this company going forward and if you are smart you will choose a different company yourself.

I am so happy that I found Reitz Oil. My father had been using Agway for years. When I started taking over paying the bills, I noticed that the pricing for Agway was ridiculous. Although we were on a budget payment, it always seemed like at the end we still owed hundreds of dollars. I checked the gallon pricing and it was very high so I decided to shop around and found Reitz Oil. Not only is the pricing reasonable, they have been there for us when our furnace stopped working (twice) and have always been reliable and friendly. I will be with Reitz for as long as they are around and highly recommend them to anyone. They are a family owned business and really seem to care about their customers. As far as heating oil companies go this is the first company that I honestly dont mind giving my money to. Of course I would prefer that the oil was cheaper but they are cheaper than most and the customer service is unrivaled. We have had emergencies over the past 3 winters where the weather turned so quickly that our terribly drafty, under insulated and our old poorly maintained furnace led to an immediate need for oil. Because we are renters we can only address non infrastructure energy efficiency upgrades as anything else is up to our property owner. Reitz Oil Company has always responded the same day or before the sun came the next day several times. Everyone Ive every dealt with has been a model of perfect customer service!!! Give them a chance and they wont disappoint.

Got oil in mid November its the first week of January oil must be watered down! Will NEVER RECOMMEND ANYBODY HERE! Lost a customer! Was using them for 3 years no more
