We highly recommend Mitra, the Hearing Aid Specialist at the Lantana Costco. She is very calm and patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She takes her time to explain the tests, results and hearing aid options. My husband has had several types of aids in the past and none were great. Mitra recommended new bluetooth hearing aids from Phillips and my husband loves them. At least a couple of times per week, he says how they have changed his life (and mine too, since he can hear me across the room). Thank you Mitra!

Mitra, the hearing aid specialist at the Lantana Costo, is fantastic. She is actually an audiologist, originally from Iran, who practiced for 26 years before coming to America, where she gained her license as a hearing aid specialist and now works at Costco. I am so grateful for the help she gave me today. I was recently examined by an ENT, who told me I needed hearing aids, and pushed me quite hard to buy them. I couldnt afford the $5,000 - $7,000 it would have cost me to buy them through him. After a great deal of research, I came away with the confidence that the hearing aids at Costco were of the same quality as the very expensive ones sold by audiologists and ENT doctors. In fact, they are made by the same manufacturers.I was prepared to buy the Kirkland Signature 9.0 hearing aids today. Mitra tested my hearing, and her audiogram matched the one I received from the ENT doctors office. However, Mitra explained that I didnt need hearing aids at this point, and that they would not improve my hearing to any noticeable degree. Instead, she recommended that I come back to be retested in the future, to see if my hearing had deteriorated.There was no charge for the hearing test, and future hearing tests will also be free (as part of my membership). I am certainly going to cancel future appointments with the ENT, who appears to be more interested in selling hearing aids than in meeting his patients needs.I already knew that Costco hearing specialists and audiologists do not work on commission, but of course Costco does make money by selling hearing aids. I was so impressed that my real needs took priority over making a sale, and am so grateful that the Lantana Costco has someone of Mitras experience, expertise and sensitivity. Bravo!
