Love the Lapeer store, the staff is so helpful. Stocked up on some must haves and a new favorite recommended by staff.

I visited the Ulta Beauty in Lapeer today to pick up some Estée Lauder. First thing was the store associate approached me very quickly to try and assist me with what I was looking for and kept showing me different products. I finally asked her to allow me some time to look myself and then I finally realized that I was looking for Estée Lauder products. I asked another store associate and was advised that they didn’t carry this product, I’m giving this store three stars and not for the service, but for the lack of inventory they carry. I was offered to have it ordered and shipped for free, but I’d rather look at the products and choose myself. I will have to take my business to the Flint store location. I have a hard time believing that the clientele is any better in Flint. My personal opinionIs how can someone buy it if they can’t find it?

I stopped in here yesterday to quickly grab a few items for my daughter who was getting ready for prom. The associates that helped me were remarkable. I was in a hurry and they quickly found me the items I needed. It was so refreshing to have such great customer service.

I’m 40-ish and switching my long time skin and make-up routine to one for more mature skin and let me tell you, it’s been a struggle. I don’t know what I’d do without Ulta and their employees. I have shopped both online and in-store and both experiences have been superb. There is only one employee that I have had an unpleasant experience when I asked for a product and she told me she was the wrong person to ask because she didn’t know and returned to walking the store aimlessly. I think she was new. Another employee was able to look up the product online for me, which I ordered. I’ve worked with four employees on my several trips and all recommendations were exactly what I was looking for besides for a hair texture spray, but it was only a personal preference on smell. Love the return policy and that is important when trying new things and finding your new beauty routine with having difficult skin! Thank you Lapeer Ulta!

Ulta is my favorite beauty store! They have the best products. Plus I cant think of a visit when the staff was not friendly. They are always out to take care of their customers here! My favorite visits were when they would color match me to new makeup ideas. Hope they can do that again sometime after Covid is over with!

Love the store, don’t like this location. Weird vibes. Staff is either rude and impatient, or too overly annoying like an art van employee trying to get the last sale of the day. Show me what I’m looking for and some options. Then when the customer says thanks for your help and looks away, that’s your que to give them some space lol. Lots of different price ranges and diff shades and brands. Gotta let them think for a min. And if they are still just starring you can always walk by again and say “you still doing ok” not trying to hate, just some friendly advice.

Chaz helped me and he was phenomenal, talented and matched my tone even with my mask on. He was resourceful and didnt make me feel awkward as I dont frequently wear makeup and needed something good for my wedding this October. He didnt push anything on me and respected my budget. Best Ulta experience I have ever had and I will be back. Thanks Chaz for taking excellent care of me.

I called to arrange an appointment for my hair and makeup, not expecting to be able to get one the same day. Yes, I had a little bit of a wait, but staff was nice and kept me informed. My stylist was very nice and kept commenting on how long my hair is. Overall I had a fantastic experience. Thank you, Ill definitely be back.

Hairstylist, Tina O, does a great job. Last year, she helped me transition my half gray hair into a beautiful style. Now, she cuts my naturally curly hair like the pro she is! Always a great haircut!! My hair is wash and wear but always looks great!

Came in for a hair appointment with Christel and she did exactly everything I asked for! She spent hours on my thick hair and I appreciate that very much. She is amazing at what she does for sure! Couldn’t be happier with my hair, it’s beautiful! So if you’re ever looking to change up your hair Christel’s your girl!

My first time in Ulta was this past Saturday, when my Sister took me to beauty product heaven. It looked like a gigantic candy stor but for beauty products! I am just starting a skincare regimen, and went right to an associate, or I would have been in there for days. Chaz is the persin who took care of me. He is very knowledgeable and has one of the best attitudes ever! He took me to the products he believed would help my issues, which were from the PeterThomasRoth and Lancome. My sister had brought me to this beauty wonderland and he did the same for her. The woman that checked me out was so sweet and we kept laughing as she welcomed me to the Ulta way of life. She was also very informative. Best experience I could haved hoped for and I am going to try and post the difference in my eye darkness and puffiness. Incredible!!! I will definitely be returning, anytime I can. Prices are a bit steep, but I am learning you get what you pay for in the beauty world, but not every item has to be expensive. There are also comparable prices here. Great store with unbelievable employees!!!

Frankie has been doing my hair for years now and I would never trust anyone else to cut it. Shes the best, and always up to play and experiment with my cut and color, while still making me looks great. Now she does mine and my husbands hair too :)

I already aired my issues w/their higher offices. That should tell enough about this location. They never should have opened one in Lapeer. The Flint and Port Huron locations are much, MUCH better. Dont waste your time at this one.

I love Ulta!! 😍Susan in the Salon was so very kind to me. I needed help finding a product for my curly hair frizz and she tried a couple products on me and even curled a few strands of mine to see what would work. I am very impressed. Went above and beyond!Regina she does a fabulous job at eyebrows!! Im so happy I decided to give ulta a shot getting my eyebrows done. She tinted and cleaned them up. Looked so good! She is a very kind and bubbly person. Was a very pleasant experience!Hannah walking in the store and her asking me if I needed help finding anything turned into her sharing all her knowledge of the products I was interested in. She also helped me find new products! Outgoing and knowledgeable!Chaz helped me find a facial cleanser! He was very knowledgeable of the products! Very pleasant to talk to and ask suggestions!People like them really make all the difference!

Brooke checked me out and asked if I wanted to sign up for the credit card. I told her no and she proceeded to badger me asking me multiple times if I was sure I didn’t want to sign up. It made me extremely uncomfortable. I’ve worked retailed my whole life and never once would think about bullying a customer into signing up for a credit card. NO MEANS NO. I understand it’s your job to tell me “You better come back on Black Friday and get the credit card FROM ME” felt like harassment. It was so off putting that at this point I’d rather shop online.

This location makes me want to continue shopping online. The staff here isnt outgoing enough and most of the products, especially popular ones, are always out of stock or mauled by other people. The store is clean and most of it is well organized. The online customer service has always been exceptional. I think ULTA has one of the best online sites for your all around make-up, skin, hair, and body needs.

They have lots of great stuff but its all very pricey. Only decent prices are their clearance and sales. Staff is nice and helpful, not pushy like some makeup stores.

I recently took my daughter into the Lapeer Ulta Store and we were amazed by the wonderful customer service we received. From the moment we walked, we were greeted by smiling sales associates willing to help us with whatever we needed. While looking at make up and trying to decide what would be the best items to start building a make up collection, a manager named Brooke overheard us. Brooke stopped what she was doing and started asking us questions. We told her what we were looking for and she immediately took over, in a good way. She listened to what my daughter wanted/needed, showed what products would be best and why. What products to steer away from and why. She gave us both tips and tricks about application and people to follow on social media. I was so happy that she over heard us talking. Ulta gained 2 new customers today and when we go in well always seek out Brooke to help us with our shopping.

AMAZING STAFF!! I went in to use my points for free products and didn’t realize I hadn’t used them all until I had already left. Long story short I came back in and the girls helped me return my products so I could use all of my points and get the best deal. I know it can be tedious to go through everything they did but they took their time and answered all of my questions. This is quite possibly the best ulta I have ever been to and trust me, I have been to plenty😉

Nice store with a lot of product. My only issue is that I use a specific product and the consultant is never there. While I was given a business card so I could call to check if the consultant was in I find that a bit rediculous. I can understand working only certain days, but your days and hours should be set.A consumer should not have to call to check if the person is there each time you want to come in.

This store is so well organised and clean. I love the employees here! I got colormatched for foundation and it was a very enjoyable experience. I got the perfect color for me and had a nice chat with the guy applying my makeup. Great place to shop for makeup.

Chaz in Lapeer was wonderful, love makeup but with ULTA it’s easy to become overwhelmed and purchase things because of packaging. He took the time to listen to what I was looking for then took the additional time to “try it out”. Continuing to ask questions of me of what I liked, didn’t like, colors, prior choices and the why. He also has a biology degree (I’m chemistry:)) and pays attention to the labels which is important to me. If you can’t eat it, why put it on your face. Of course I purchased but really it was the customer service that swayed me.

I love Ulta, but the Lapeer location which is closer to my house is pathetic. The employees answer to every question is if its not out there we probably dont have any. Not to mention the little pow wows they have with each other talking personal stuff instead of asking if we needed help. Sorry I will drive the extra distance to your Port Huron location. Much better service and they care about making a sale.

Started off a little rocky getting a hair appointment, but the store manager and the salon manager made it right. I got an awesome cut, color and style with Daniel. He was very friendly, professional and a good listener. I highly recommend this store and the salon . Thanks to Daniel and Tanesha (sp) and the store manager for making g it right. Ill most defiantly be back.💙

Visited Ulta in Lapeer, Mi on 1/10/19. While browsing the facial cleansers, I asked Chaz his opinion on any specific cleansers followed by asking what he personally uses (because he is GLOWING). Chaz took time away from stocking (15+ min) to show me his favorite cleansers and used the moment to even explain how he uses them, how often, some facts, etc. Regardless, he did a FANTASTIC job tonight. Out of my 30+ visits to this store, this was by far the best experience. He even told me to come back in a week to show him the difference in my skin! Thank you so much Chaz!Ps. Lea, the manager, also was super friendly in handling a mix up I had at checkout! So shout out to Lea too!

Nice store. The women employees are a bit too peppy for my liking, but I guess some people are into that kind of thing.

I am a huge Ulta fan! Although, the Lapeer location needs to step it up. Its way too slow and unorganized. The employees always seem confused and very uninformed of specials, sales, and coupons. I have been in there about 5-6 times since its soft opening, and I have either had an issue or waited in line too long. Ive yet to see an employee who seems to understand their job. Today was busy, Dec. 23rd I know, but there were 15+ people in line and only 2-3 registers open. Maybe they need some longer term Ulta people in there to speed things up and make employees aware and educated on the products they sell.

Spent 21$ on a brow wax and she did a horrible job.. They dont look alike at all, uneven, dont match... she did a horrible job at filling them in, I had to fix it myself.. Im done going there

The salon is full of inexperienced lazy stylists. She spent more time looking for the right tools and only had a comb to brush out my hair, when she became frustrated with it, she used her fingers.. I went in for a simple retouch and my stylist spent more time talking with other employees about shades of lipstick then what I was trying to achieve with my color. While I was processing, she was nowhere to be found, leaving the station dirty with color stains. After returning from the shampoo bowl with a cape still covered in hair color, she proceeds to comb my hair out on top of the soiled cape. When I asked the stylist to cut my hair, she only cut the back, leaving my hair uneven and looking crazy. I left feeling humiliated and had to go elsewhere to have my hair fixed. Do your research before going here, this the the worst Ulta salon I have been to.

The ladies in the store were very rude, and had no interest in helping me whatsoever. I had to match foundation shades to myself because they did so bad. I will not be coming back to this location.

I havent shopped here but I do look forward to going in and checking it out. I have the app for the store.so I give it 4 stars by what the app offers.

Never going to Ulta again. Ever. The lady didnt even let me PICK a shade (which happened to be too bright when it was picked) and when she bleached it, she didnt use heat (or foil) to keep it as even as possible. There were very dark spots still after bleaching - her excuse was that I previously used boxed color, so when they put the actual color, there were almost black areas. Thank God I got a discount or my mom wouldve had to pay over $120.
