I have called twice to help with my garage door. Mike the owner has answered the phone or called back and came out both times. Once to give me advice on an opener I tried to install from the big box store that wasnt working right, and then about year down the road had him install one of his openers. His was much better quality and installed correctly, All done for a fair price and job well done.
On a Monday morning in January of 2019, two technicians came out to my father in law’s house. My Dad telephoned twice, actually to have a free estimate of the problem he was having with his garage door. During or after the second telephone call a service call was set up which is not what my Dad wanted, he wanted to hear what the problem was and receive an estimate to fix the problem.Instead two technicians came out to his house, did not knock on the door or wait to have any face to face contact with my father in law, went into the open garage, and proceeded to supposedly fix the garage door. As best I can read the handwriting on the work order, the receipt given to my Dad, states; a reset of the force up and force down setting, and an adjustment of the travel. The service call and work cost $98.00 dollars, all of which was done before a verbal or in writing ok was given to the technicians. No time limit for the warranty of the work was stated on the receipt. Until five days later the door worked well. However, by the fifth day, the door reverberated back to working sometimes and not at other times. The problem is the same, the door stops its upward travel for no apparent reason about half way up. The door will close from this position, however when you press the control to fully raise the door it only goes half way up. Eventually, after many up and down movements the door may finally raise to its full height. The work that was done did not fix the problem. The door does work fine in the warm weather months, however as soon as the temps drop below 50 degrees the problem exists. My dad does not want to pursue this problem further because he does not have the money to pay for something that is not fixed.I did receive an email notice that this company does not want to be contacted by email. I have found in the past that creditable people and companies do not have a problem with contact by email. Email or text messaging provides a written record of communication between people that a telephone conversation does not. Secondly, I found this company’s email address and the invite to contact the company on the company’s web page in two places. If this company does not want to be contacted by email, I am not sure why an email is listed for contact on their web page? I have found it very useful in the past to have had a written record when discussing any type of contract or business arrangement. After seeing this companies work, I understand why they do not want any written correspondence.
Called to get a quote for a typical 16x7 garage door installation. They refused the job, without even giving a quote. If they dont install garage doors, what do they do? Just a waste of time.
Mike came out th same day that I called and requested a quote. We ended up ordering a door from him. He called to keep us updated on our order status and schedule the install. They showed up when they said that they would. They were very professional and did a great job on the removal of my old door abc install of the new door and new opener. Mike explained all of the needed info for programming and operating the opener. I definitely recommend atlas
Atlas Overhead Door did an amazing Job for us. My wife and I are just starting out in our lives and to have a company actually help us fix the problem long term for a very reasonable price was appreciated. We recently purchased our first home and had no clue the garage door would fail in the first months after moving in. All it took was one call to Atlas, they came out, evaluated the issue and helped come up with a solution almost immediately and it was 7pm on a Sunday. Definitely worth the money and would happily recommend them to both friends and family :)
Mike and his assistant did a great job for me, showed up on time and worked like a well oiled machine. Highly recommend.
Mike came out on a Sunday morning to replace a snapped cable and a broken hinge, that had the door crooked and unable to open. He worked quickly and efficiently restoring full functionality in the fastest of time. Very happy with the work. 5 stars
The owner of this place has very bad business morals and strung us along for three days when he had no intention of following through. I am very disappointed with service, and I think that if you need this business, look elsewhere before you get the screws put to you. Thank you Atlas Owner for wasting my time.
