I want to buy shoes from somewhere other than Walmart. I hate Walmart. I just needed a pair of black shoes. Every pair I looked at was 120+$. There are no cheap options at this store.If you have money I’m sure this is a great place to shop.Edit: there’s actually a very nice second hand store called nu2u not far from here where you can find anything you need at a good price.

I called up 2 weeks ago to see if Dodds carried Hoka walking shoes with memory foam. I received a very enthusiastic positive reply. That afternoon I drove down to the store.I was greeted when I walked in, but ignored by the sales staff. I walked up to the young man & asked if he could help me find walking shoes with memory foam. At the time I could not remember the name Hoka. He showed me a pair of slip-ons and I told him I was looking for something closer to a walking shoe or tennis shoe.I was told the shoes he showed me were the only ones he knew of that had memory foam and he turned and left me standing in the middle of the shop. I know it was a lot more pressing for him to return to his texting on the far side of the cash register.The young lady was engaged in a conversation about classes she was taking at the UW.I thanked her for helping me. And on exiting the store, I asked the young man why he walked away. His reply was that he showed me a pair of shoes. I explained to him that I could order shoes online, but wanted to try them on personally. His reply? Then go do it..I waited 2 weeks before writing this comment to avoid venting excessive frustration. But will I return to Dodds? No. Never.I have been to Dodds three times in the last 3 years with specific intentions to buy shoes. The first time I was ignored. The second time, the owner sold me three pairs of very nice shoes: hiking boots, snow boots, and a comfortable pair of leather slip-ons. And my third experience? Being ignored & treated like a second-class citizen.Dodds sells high quality shoes, but their service is dismal. In order to to try on shoes and buy them, you must have a sales staff that is willing to help you.I did not want to be ignored, I did not want to feel insulted, and I will not return.

Helpful friendly staff, great prices, and simple online ordering with a great local delivery/pickup option. I love that I can spend my money locally for deals on products not usually available in a small town. Plus, they’re great quality! Oh my gosh! Talk about one off cute shoes. If youre not lucky enough to live here and are passing through it is well worth the stop. You can leave with dome rave worthy shoes that its almost guaranteed your friends & coworkers will not have.

This store needs to retrain the manager. I have bought shoes at Dodd’s before, but never again after my experience today. I tried on a pair of shoes which I purchased. After I got out to my car I decided to wear them. I put them on and stepped outside my car. I immediately felt that they were shorter than I realized. I did not walk in them. I cleaned them off and returned them to the store for a larger size. The manager refused to exchange them, saying that I had worn them because the soles were flaking off! In other words, they were defective, as I had just bought the shoes. Even if I had walked in them (which I hadn’t) she should have offered to replace them or refund my money. She had no qualms about arguing with me in front of the other customers. I had no resolution until the reasonable owner instructed the manager to issue me a refund. I was trying to support a small business in Laramie. After this I will shop in another store or shop online.

Incredible service! Ordered a pair of Born boots online in the morning and it went out to shipment that afternoon. Received them in California quicker than the 5-8 day delivery window. Love my new boots and love that they came all the way from a Wyoming mom-and-pop shop :) Would definitely order from Dodds again!

Nice to have a place to try on shoes, not so nice when warranty service is needed for said shoes. Lean on the general warranty of merchantability and get your money back from Dodds instead of replacement via the manufacturer etc.

I ordered some new nursing clogs at the start of the pandemic, unsure if and when I’d get them. I received a call immediately after ordering to update me on the status of the manufacturer and expected shipping dates. I was highly impressed with the customer service, especially considering the circumstances. Not to mention, the shoes were cheaper than anyone else! I would definitely patronize Dodds again!

Clearly the shoes I bought are a light grey color from the picture. I received black tone ones. No biggie but I know for a fact I ordered 9-9.5 but received as well a wrong size. Called CS and they advised that wrong color was their fault but my fault for the wrong size. Advised I would receive corrected item soon. 5 days later I receive an email that they dont have the color in the picture and that the dark color is just what these shoes look like. I told them to change their marketing photo since that is false advertisement. The lady was rude and acted like I was a problem. After mailing them back the shoes they subtracted $10 from my refund bc I didnt include in the return the special cardboard box the shoes came in. Really! That is just low and pathetic business agenda.

Absolutely disappointed in the service that I receives during my visit. I have always heard such amazing things about Dodds Shoe Co, however during my visit, beyond being treated while I entered not a single employee checked on us to see if we were finding what we were looking for or if we needed help. Definitely will NOT be returning or referring to friends or family.

Wish I read reviews before ordering. I only purchased because Dodds website claims Free Shipping, Free Exchanges, Easy Returns, but somehow I missed their $9.95 RETURN FEE.I emailed to cancel just 6 hrs after my order, but the order shipped anyway. Fortunately Dodds does offer to credit the $9.95 fee toward a new purchase, so you can recoup your loss at least.

Their policies pertaining to defective merchandise are terrible. I ordered a pair of Haflinger wool slippers from Dodd’s in mid-April and started wearing them at the end of April. Altho Haflinger is a high-end brand with a good reputation, after 4 weeks the wool on the slippers began to deteriorate, and now they look shabby. I sent photos to Dodd’s, and they authorized a return – but I have to pay the return shipping, even though the item is clearly defective. In addition, the only credit they’ll allow is a credit to their own site: I cannot get a credit back to my credit card. Their inflexibility on the issue of defective products stands in stark contrast to other online shoe companies (thinking of you, Zappos, Amazon, and L L Bean), and I highly recommend that you look elsewhere if you have any concerns about the quality of their products: they stand behind them only if you, the customer, will pay return shipping and agree to buy something else from them. Very disappointing.

Received the shoes pretty quickly. I was very disappointed as the shoes seemed very very wide and stretched.They fell off my feet. They are not a wide size.Free shipping,free exchange,easy returns..Easy, and Dodds charges $10.And if you have a problem printing the mailing label they will gladly send one in the mail for $1.00. HA!.I am so done with this nonsense. The shoes I received seemed irregular and Im stuck with a $10.return fee.

Im a first and LAST time customer. Super disappointed in the misleading return/exchange policy. I tend to size between 9 and 9.5 in boots. In order to avoid paying return shipping I didnt order both, but only went with the size 9. When trying to exchange for the larger size (the day after receiving the shipment), I discovered only a size 6 remaining. Since I was trying to exchange in good faith, I called customer service hoping to avoid paying $10 to return my boots. I understand that the boots are popular and of course the company cant control the stock but neither can the customer so I assumed customer assistance would be helpful. Buyer beware, the only assistance I was offered was the option to shop around and ship cheaper through another company. I was told the return fee helps cover their cost to re-sell this difficult to sell, out-of-stock merchandise (but also told they were extremely popular which is why it sold out). Confused? Me too. In the future, Ill be sticking to companies with clear policies and helpful customer service like Zappos and Amazon.

A great alternative to anywhere else in Laramie if youre looking for shoes! They have Brands you know and Brands youve never heard of and everything from slippers to cowboy boots. Dodds shoe company is an old standby and Laramie and well worth checking out if you are in downtown Laramie. They often have surprising sales that are not advertised you only know if you walk in!

Recd shoes I ordered. Wore them to work today. While they are super cute and extremely comfortable in general (I have another pair in a different color,) all day the right shoe kept nearly slipping off because it splayed out from the sides much more than the left shoe, which fit perfectly. It was kind of stretched out, felt very close to being a half size larger. Dont feel like paying them $10 for a return label for a defective product. They were only $51 so theyre now house shoes.

Im a first and last time customer also. Zappos offers free returns and exchanges. I purchased two pair through Dodds and sadly had to return both. Called customer service. They told me to go to UPS so I did. UPS printed a label and off they went. My credit arrived to show charge $19.95 - Breakdown is $10 for rebox fee and $9.95 for shipping. No boxes were damaged. I sent them back exactly how I got them. Tried them on in the bedroom only. Gave two star because I love their selection. **UPDATE** I just found shoe box under my bed. I must have returned one pair without the shoebox. Ive amended my rating

Their price match is a joke, I thought they would price match and give you 10% off the lower price....it is carefully worded and they only mean to give you 10% off the difference. Bought my boots online. Good price and exactly what I had ordered. They showed up I think 4 days after ordering with the slowest delivery speed so thats awesome! Kind of wish they had more of a return policy like REI because I wont need to use them for a few more months. By then the 30 day return warranty will be void and if I try them outside, it seems I wont be able to return them if they dont work well for me. I am not sure of all this though since I havent had to return them, and I dont plan to. Seems like a great company though! Will definitely return for more purchases in the future.

They have a great selection here and the sale store at the back has really good deals. It’s worth a visit, just sometimes the staff can be very clicky and not helpful. I wish they had staff that really knew shoes and didn’t socialize when customers were in the store. Regardless, it really is a gem of a shoe store, but don’t go for the service.

I would give this company a negative star count if I could. I ordered shoes and paid $11.95 for expedited shipping that would arrive at my house within 3-5 business days. The package will not arrive until DAY 6 and at that point I no longer need the shoes. I spoke to 2 managers and was pedantically told that the first business day doesnt count in those 3-5 days. I mentioned that seemed like their 3-5 business day guarantee for delivery was a lie. I asked for return shipping and a full refund. They refused. They offered me 50% discount on shipping and a $9.95 return shipping label.So, buyer beware. They do NOT offer 3-5 business day arrivals. It is 4-6 days, no matter what.Id advise buyers not to buy from these guys at all. Their customer service is TERRIBLE.

I bought a pair of shoes and the soles glue seem to have not been set in one spot and just kept getting worse 4 months after the transaction they helped me with the warranty. The gave me a new pair and sent the old ones back. I will be using them from now on for all my shoe buying needs!

I purchased a pair of boots from Dodds, nice boots, but didnt fit. Dodds didnt carry the size I needed so I had to order elsewhere. Dodds offers free exchanges but returns are $10. Called Dodds, they wouldnt budge and credit the $10 return even though they didnt carry much stock. Trying to support the little guy vs the Zappos of the World, but this attitude isnt helping, need to have some flexibility if you dont carry stock like the bigger guys. Poor business policy - dont wonder why youre losing business to the larger .coms.

Most of the shoes and boots I own come from here. Ive always had great service. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. While they dont have as large a selection as some of the huge big-box megastores in other towns, they still seem to have what I need and want (along with better service).

Dodds has been so great to work with! My dad (who lives across the state and has very particular taste and needs for his work shoes) received exceptional help from Dodds salespeople in ordering his very specific type of shoes. They helped him identify his shoe (from a previous non-Dodds purchase), special order the shoes, and then have them shipped directly to him. Upon arrival, my dad decided a size larger would be better for him. I dont advise purchasing shoes from Dodds Shoe Co. They sent two different sized shoes when I ordered online. Quality control isnt there. The solution to my problem wasnt satisfactory. Now Im out money and shoes for an extended period of time. Not happy.

Not only did they have the shoes and my size, but they were $10 cheaper than anywhere else online (everyone else was $65 and up, Dodds was $55 and free shipping). Also, I placed the order on Sunday night, and they arrived Wednesday afternoon, from Wyoming to Nashville, with standard shipping. I called the store to find out if they were in stock to expedite the shipping process, and the person on the phone was extremely pleasant. Dodds, you have earned a customer for life. Keep up the great work and customer service!!!!

Terrible service and expensive shoes. My mother bought shoes for me and they didnt fit. We had the receipt and tried to return them within 24 hours and they only offered store credit. They didnt have another size either. They capitalize off the fact they are the only place to buy shoes in Laramie.

Refused warranty of merchantability for a defect. Said it had been too long. But article 2, section 315 of federal commercial statute states the contrary... This is a dispute about which party is the merchant, shoe manufacturer or retailer. I believe Dodds is merchant (due to that name on the receipt) and obliged to contact the manufacturer for replacement.
