Flying J is always a nice clean place to visit. Well most are. This one has a very big parking lot. Great size Drivers Lounge.

Ive been to many pilots stops and this one of the best. It doesnt have the best view but its very convenient place . Always clean bathroom, polite staff, plenty room for parking in front and in the back of the building if you a truck or a cargo van . They also have a printer and a computer inside, plus they have mail drop box. Very satisfied with this place . There is also a small piece of grass where you can do some stretch out or even train as I did )

I was about an hour out of Laredo to make a drop today, and I got word that I would be taking two vehicles back out. Ive never hauled vehicles before, so I started calling every truck stop between me and Laredo to find the wheel net ratchet straps that secure a vehicle to a flatbed. Flying J Travel Center in Laredo was the only one that had any, and manager Alfonso was incredibly helpful in not only checking his stock, but verifying exactly what I needed. To prevent an unneeded stop. As it turned out, I found I could get the straps I needed at my pickup point. So I didnt stop. But had I needed to, this place was rocking and rolling. I really appreciate it. Thanks Alfonso!

Dirty hole. take paper with you before entering the toilet, because there is no paper in the toilet. lazy staff. long lines to shower.

I want to give them in negative but I dont have option. Very rude staff. Didnt clean the showers regularly waiting for 4-5 showers then start cleaning. Always wait for more than an hour for showers. Guy on billing is not cooperative and very rude. Just avoid this location.

Showers are dirty!!I mentioned it to the manager on the way out. He said he was going to look into it. However, I can see by the previous reviews that this is an ongoing problem. This ownership is giving Flying J a bad name. Wish corporation would enforce their contracts with owners.

Rude customer service. I asked for change to use their filthy washers and in the middle of giving many change she left to go help another customer. When I asked someone else for the rest of my change she says have patience im coming. Dont wash your clothes here the washers are small and filthy $2.75 a wash. Yes you read that right. All three nasty. Showers werent bad but werent very clean. I frequent with pilot/flying j everyday this was a let down for me.Positive note the rest of the store was clean and lots of parking with AC connect.

Every single time I come here, something is down. The water for the whole building, the hot water heater for the showers, the card reader for the laundry room etc. The staff are nice, but this place really needs to get it together.Edit: April 20, 2021Not sure why, but theyre serving lunch and its not even 9:00am yet.

I changed my place from pilot next street to her because it’s very clean location and friendly people and big parking lotAnd no wait time for a shower

With so many parking spaces youre guaranteed to have a space. Lots of space between parking rows so manuvering into and out is easy and safe from hitting someones mirror or fender.Many showers so no waiting time.Inside free wifi and you can refill your cup eith coffe from the espresso machines.

At the moment I went the place was having problems with links in the ceiling and it was not very clean. The showers were dirty, I dont recommend coming here.

The only reason I gave it a to is because of the rest of the people that work at the Dennys and the idle air. I bought several drinks teas that were on sale the ones I like and a quart of milk a bag of Fritos for my hummus dip when I got to the counter it was around $17 and the clerk asked me if I needed a bag which it was obvious I did because it took me two trips from the cooler to put the stuff on the counter and the bag was going to cost me $0.25.Now thats not going to break the bank but as a first-time customer and not knowing that thats how they do business I said no I dont want to pay $0.25 for a bag when its plain to see I cant carry this to my truck by myself. I asked if he had a employee that he could send with me to carry it and of course that was not an option so I went next door to the Dennys and they gladly gave me a plastic bag that I could put all my items in for FREE. I know you dont see a lot of plastic bags laying around this truck stop but it is filthy with other things cigarette butts and whatever else that flies out of the garbage they dont pick it up it looks like they use a blower and blow it into the bushes and on the grass. If the store clerk would have suggested that I would need to bring a bag next time I came in and this one was complementary I probably would have voluntarily paid for it but to just up enough say no its a quarter in the conversation.60 miles up the road theres a Flying J that will give you an extra bag if you need it and the place is much cleaner and friendlier, also fuel is a about 3¢ cheaper.If you are into some authentic mexican food get something from the Food Truck across the street I included a picture of it excellent food.

Wow!! The cashier made one customer by a mask. When a hour a go a bus full of people came in and a bunch of them didnt have a mask on. They should have the same standards for everyone.

This place is the MOST AMAZING FLYING J Ive been to. The coffee is great.. The GAME ROOM has pool tables.. 4 RESTAURANTS.. It even has a 30 seat MOVIE THEATER!

All Ive got to say is that the flying j and pilot are going downhill. Not only have they taken away the good points system, now I go to many flying Js and the ice machine doesnt work, the color that I want is always out. If it wasnt for being forced to go to a pilot and flying j I would not even go.

I always come to this flying j in Laredo. The people nice and friendly but there are some exceptions. Showers are clean but wait times are too long for me. The ladies room always needs some attention. And lines are always too long at the checkout. Other than that nice place to stay. (Peaceful and quiet for me anyways!)

0/100 customer service. Since I visited the store for a shower, the cashier name called Nelly, her attitude towards to me was really bad. First of all she gave me a piece of paper with hand writing #38 & send me to meet the shower personnel which is unusual. Secondly after shower, to buy a food waiting her to serving me. But she was calling people behind of me I asked her why she dont serving me, her response was to waiting a line. Even peoples were lough on her because I stand on the food stand while my turn appear. even she didnt ask me me apology. I never saw a racist like her.

Their new bean coffee is excellent. Wish I could say the same about their restrooms. A bit more air freshener world work.Most smell like youre walking into a sewer.

RVers beware! I pulled up to the beautiful pumps Flying J provides for RVs, but before I filled up I notice the area were RVs are allowed to park was full with bobtail trucks. I went in and asked if they had any RV parking. I was told no, but I could pay for a reservation and park with the trucks in back.Why did flying J spend all the money to build the RV pumps and not provide parking for RVs?Why should an RVer pay to park in the truck area when the trucks are parking for free in the RV area?I went across the street put 59 gallons of diesel on and parked for free in the truck lot.I like Flying J for the RV pumps but Im going to buy fuel were I can park!

Stopped here overnight. Enjoyed a nice meal at Dennys. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The bathrooms and showers were clean. We had to wait 10 minutes for a clean shower, but it was fine. Veronica was a great help and maintained clean facilities. Yes, its extremely hot outside and the parking lot smells. Its a truck stop. Glad we chose Flying J!

It’s a very busy place they have fresh coffee and a fast food available they have clean restrooms and hot showers the parking is large 100 plus spaces and they have a bobtail parking also with a Cat scale across the street is a Blue Beacon truck wash and also Southern Tire should you need a new tire

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The restrooms could use a cleaning and the coffee area needed to be wiped up. Other than that I was in and out pretty quickly. Average for flying j.

Nice place, nice people, went on around midnight and coffee tasted like garbage. Was probably 6 hrs old. I like fresh coffee and a coffee that tastes good. Not my first disappointment with their coffee they need to switch it up and try different brands plus flavors the year Pilot House Coffee sucks so does a Colombian coffee its just terrible please switch your coffee up and this goes out to all Pilots

Toe nails all in the shower floor and hair balls every where. They never clean the showers correctly. I know they r busy but its always filthy in the bathroom pool ms and showers. The staff is awesome. Just need to clean better

Store is clean, bathrooms no so much, I like the fact that there is a Dennys inside the truck stop, you can have a good meal at a decent price, parking is crowded but you can still find some available spaces, fuel line busy as always.

Nice store its not the cleanest .wouldnt catch me having a shower there as the restrooms werent even clean. Truckers need cleaner showers are people to. Was there for 2 day lay over. Thank goodness had a shower that morning as were heading there .

Not pet friendly. I drive cross country, and this is the first time I was asked to leave. No animals allowed. All I needed was a shower and I always bring my little Yorki with me. He waits patiently under the sink always. Every other flying j/pilot has always been super friendly to Loki. This place expect me to leave the little guy in the truck in the heat to die so I can shower. Never stopping here again. There is a pilot across the freeway, go there instead. I know its the same company but at least they are friendly about it.

Unbelievably clean compared to Pilot Flying J across the country.Super busy with truckdrivers, yet they manage to keep up and keep clean.

FYI keep your receipt for every single purchase you will be followed out by the security guard otherwise.I purchased a refill cup of coffee with one of their mugs for a $1.09, walked out the store and was followed by the security guard to ask me for my receipt.I dont know who in the world would save a receipt for a refill cup of coffee.I walk back in the store to the same cashier and told her to prove to the security guard that I paid for the cup of coffee as she did.Absolutely embarrassing do yourself a favor and save your receipt....Sometimes logic has to sink in and figure should I follow a customer out the door to ask for a receipt for a $1.09 refill of coffee or should I just let it go insted of embarrassing him in front of all the other customers.

This is a pretty large truck stop. We o Ky stopped here for a scale ticket and to take a quick break. Restrooms are fairly clean. Coffee isnt to bad either. The one thing to look out for, a lot of trucking companies do drop and hooks here and swap trailers. And there are a lot of them who do not look out for others when doing so, or it would seem they dont even care. Aside from that. Not a bad place to camp out

Way too long for a shower!!! 23 people in line. I was 7 in line and still 5th. An hour later. They have a young kid mopping the showers and taking his sweet time

Seriously you have to put bacon on everything, buy a steak bagel I have never seen it with bacon on it ever. But this place has to put it on there. Package doesnt say bacon but there it is. Of course you leave driving down the highway open it up, garbage. Call customer service they dont care. I am not buying anything at Flying J/Pilot anymore Im done. Ill park in the lot, use there showers and bathroom and thats it. You know there are a lot of people that dont eat pork, what if I was allergic to it? $5.00 garbage I bought.

Terrible truck stop. They dont clean showers in the middle of the night until all of them are dirty. Thats about the same time the idiot shuts down all the bathrooms for cleaning. No bath mat for shower. Hair left on floor after he so called cleaned it. Dont go here. Park at the TA. If you have to park here walk to the TA for anything you need. This place is nasty

There are a lot of spots to park and the people that work here are kind.My only issue is that after driving for hours I would like to take a shower in a clean shower.I came here I stop pilot cause I had the same issue there.I opened my shower room door (shower 14) and the door looks like it was kicked in and the room smelled extremely bad.The toilet still had the smudge of someone’s butt.I asked the guy if he could do his job and clean it and he looks at me as if I’m asking him to fix world hunger.He cleaned it and I went in only to find the rest of it was filthy.

This place is way to under staffed. Its always very busy. That means it always needs cleaning, waiting times for showers is always to long because not enough shower rooms. The restaurant is like every Dennys. The waitresses only speak Spanish amongst themselves, which I guess goes with the territory, but this is America. I just think its rude to be my server and stand directly in front of my table speaking a foreign language with your co workers

Warning Bring your own bags to bag your items. Say what! Buy 20 dollar worth of snacks, pay and than carry it out in your shirt BECAUSE we no longer carry plastic bags. We only sell paper bags for .25 cents. I wasnt even offered to purchase a bag, period! 3 star cause the burger was ok.

The place is dirty. The staff are very freindly but are overwhelmed. Housekeeping is terrible. A shower needs to have more done than just mopping the floor with dirty water. Proper training is required with on duty supervision.

Showers- could improve wait times by having 2 cleaners.Public washrooms need cleaning more often.C-store is good.Dennys restaurant could use improvements in food inventory. Waitress could do less socializing and more attending to ALL customers.

Why waste time giving a good or bad review. Call corporate. Than they can build a bigger and better Fly J to compete against this one. Your cashiers bypass you in line when you try to point out in the hot case what you want, and then start ringing up another driver from across the bridge. I felt discriminated. I chose THIS truckstop to get provisions and customer service is lax.

Waiting 1/2hour for a shower. It was gross. Mold and mildew everywhere. I give three stars because the store was clean, the soup was good and associated were helpful. Did not take a shower. I was afraid to.

1/29/18, 10:50am they do have a nice cashier, on the diesel side, but the women on the unleaded fuel side, was very inconsiderate of the line behind the guy she was so busy talking to. Three to four people on the diesel desk were taken care of and she was still talking to the guy. I called to Dennys to order something on the go, nobody answered, all the waitresses were in the front, all bunched up together talking like girlfriends. The womans bathroom, on Dennys side, RUN!!! Im not writing this because Im a woman, but I would of thought we were more cleaner. There was fecial matter on the little trash bin inside one of the stalls, makes me have an ugly image of the nasty women who did it, with fingers full of sh*t because with that much on the lid it had to take them a while to wash it off when washing her hands, and heaven knows if she did, Im so disgusted with Flying J.

Bathrooms are a wreck, professional drivers restroom full of bus riders, the place is always packed and can easily take half an hour to get checked out. But at least there is a parking lot for my truck... even if its sandy, sticky and smells like piss. And the cashiers never fail at screwing up transactions... either trying to make me pay twice for what Ive already purchased, or just never handing me food that I pay for until 5 minutes of me bugging them.

Whenever I come to this part of the US I receive very good treatment from the employees here. Weather or not its in the store, laundry room, or restraunt. They show me ALL the kindness in the world. That in itself is awesome!!😳😁😀

This place is always packed ! I’ve been coming to this flying j for 6 years already they lots of businesses coming in so I think they can afford little bit more workers to keep this place cleaner. Showers are ok hot water not always. One thing those they never have recipes for gas at the pump and every time I tell them that they keep saying probably ran out of paper I honestly don’t remember when they had paper if they ever did.

Clean establishment. I ordered a pizza with bed but it came with sausage instead. The manager explained they dont have bed at this location. Thats really weird to here but they remade the pizza without fuss.

Unfortunately I have to come here every single week and my husband and I pay for shower and every single time the showers are nasty. I pay 11$ for someone not to even give me a clean shower! I usually don’t even say anything and clean it myself but today it was just not worth it. NASTY NASTY. Body wash still in the shower, hair (like someone did their haircut and no one cleaned it) shoe prints on the floor, trash full, and the floor like no one ever cleaned it today. I’m sorry but the manager needs to have a talk with the staff and do something!

Hello everyone,Incase you are following me and looking at how I review I normally have never stooped to reviewing so low, however I will explain why I did so, and I will start with why I didnt bother rating a 1 star, well I would have to say out of all the employees only one had asked if I needed assistance, and they could help me if I needed anything which was a good thing, however even one employee cannot show the obvious and that was how dirty the place was. The bathroom was so disgusting I decided not to even use it, not be explicated but lets just say I almost vomited at the site of blood in the bathroom.You should really have someone who is cleaning the girls restroom, or at least check because that was very disturbing. Which makes me question if maybe a customer was treated so bad they did this! Anyway, after being almost so disgusted I wanted to leave I decided to buy some snacks as requested by my children the prices were everywhere I couldnt tell what went where.When I went to the register...I had to overhear the cashiers talking about another employee for almost 20 minutes, and I found it disrespectful if you have a issue you shouldnt talk about it in front of the customers. I really think you need to evaluate your customers in respect after all your adults! Come on, your gossiping like teenage girls!I wouldnt be surprised if they pick on the employee! Shame!I was requested to review this place, and almost instantly regretted it.Dont even have any important tips because you cant fix something that is hard to mend.

Got a nice shower fueled up and filled the cooler.

Adequate for RV stop but very very busy traffic and RV parking often filled with bobtails.

The truck stop is good. Cant say the same for the Dannys inside. Was sat down, brought me a glass of sweet and then sat there for half an hour waiting to place my order. Got tired ofvwaiting an left! They was to busy talking to people at end of counter. 😵😡😵😡

Use to like this Flying J but has gone down hill the past year. They need to do something about all the buses. Stopped in tonight to fuel and there were 6 buses in there. The store was a madhouse. Half the people walked out without paying. All I could do was stand there and shake my head. Couldnt get to the bathroom. Thank goodness I had a few showers on my card so I didnt have to stand in line for the bathroom. A group of women even followed me back to the shower area. Guess they were looking for more bathrooms. Ummm...no. Should have that area sectioned off for truck drivers only.

Place is just nasty! Everything is dirty from the parking lot that smells like urine to the over flowing trash cans everywhere. Sidewalk leading into the building looks as though it has never been washed. The womens restroom was so disgusting I had to take bleach wipes to clean off all the surfaces I needed to touch and it never got cleaned in the day and half that I was there. I realize this is a very busy stop, but Ive been to a ton of truck stops some way busier than here that were much cleaner. The cashiers could care less if there is a long line as they talk and laugh amongst themselves. If I could give zero stars thats what I would have given.

This place continues to disappoint me. Always lines at the registers. Bathrooms smell. Lot lizards occasionally. Can hardly ever find grill items available. This is an extremely busy truckstop, but it seems management runs it with insufficient quantity of personnel.
