Jeremy and Evan did a great job installing a 5’ x 20’ clamshell awningon my second floor balcony.My only wish…they would have put something on the existing railto prevent the awning from “buggering it up” while it was resting onthe railing. There had been a long lapse of time and perhaps too muchmovement causing the new railing to get deep scratches from the clamshell.Perhaps they could use a towel or “foam tubing” insulation to prevent thathappening again. Affordable Aluminum- call me I’ll give you several pieces.

We had them install a new screen cage and panel roof system. The results were as good as we had hoped for. They were experts in the design and dealing with the city on some setback issues we had. In the end everything was resolved in our favor. I would highly recommend this company. Another large screen company in this area cancelled 2 appointments we had and never followed up after the last cancellation, that is what led us to look elsewhere and I am glad we did. Affordable Aluminum had excellent attention to detail and they were very prompt on installation. I have nothing negative to say and this was the last step in our pool project and it went very smoothly and during this time that is saying a lot.

We had a new screen porch added to the back of our house. Everything turned out great. Blends in well with the rest of the house and a quick install.

The initial consult was great, Scott Sr. came to the house took measurements and got us a quote immediately. We met with them to sign a contract and was told it would be approximately 10-14 weeks before they could begin construction.For the first 10 weeks we had not heard anything from the company as a hey we havent forgotten about you and we are approximately this far out... as a courtesy. When we went to make payments on our almost $15k project they were very quick to take our money, but very short when we inquire about the job start date. At week 14 we heard from Scott Jr. and he came out to take final measurements with the masons, and said all siding is complete and we would be starting first thing next week. Week 15 came and went and they said we dont want to leave a mess in your yard over the weekend so we will start next week. By the time the job actually started was not until Tuesday 8:30 and the masons not only made a mess of the yard, they broke our sprinkler system and dug up the rest of the PVC piping and left it against the house. At the end of their day 3:00pm, Scott Jr said they will get the yard cleaned up at the end of the project since their bobcat dug it up pretty bad (we had expected this... so no big deal). At that point would have been a good time to say hey we accidentally broke your sprinkler system and we will fix it but no he didnt even mention it. We had to call them and leave messages inquiring to what happened to it. They sent a worker out to fix it. He did not fix it, and hooked the wrong pipe up to the wrong line. We ended up staying up late after work to dig up the yard ourselves and repair the whole system ourselves. There was not a thank you or compensation for that.Wednesday nobody showed up to work.Thursday, they had a larger crew to finish tamping the ground to lay concrete. They tried to add an extra step down which was not a part of the plans and never discussed with us. They complained it was too much dirt and work to bring the flooring up to what we had discussed. We agreed on a slope which wasnt part of the plan but at this point I just wanted the masons to get off my property.Friday the yard was sprayed for pest control at 8:00 am. They could have poured concrete and let it set the weekend and begin building the room Monday, but the masons didnt show up until Monday to finish the rebar and then Wednesday they poured concrete. We waited 5 more days before the crew from AA came out to half ass put together a room with jagged edges, gaps between concrete and the room, broke out part of the soffit, and when we asked the crew to fix it they stated this is as good of a job as we can do, and we can caulk it There were some pretty sizable (2-4inch gaps) that would be caulked. Once they had finished, the inspector came out and failed inspection because they had put the rail on wrong and didnt have enough screws.A guy from another crew came out to fix the error, and I had showed him areas for improvement. He got a notepad and stated he would be back out to repair and fix some of the major flaws and patch up the minor details. He stuck to his word and had another guy out to fix everything we had asked to make this room worthy of the money we had paid.All in all, we are very happy with the end result. It is a good price, and quality. Getting to this point was a headache. Scott Jr. is definitely a salesman that will say whatever he thinks you want to hear, but he does not do well when confronted with the facts of what was said and what was actually done.

I priced many other companies to replace the roof on my screen enclosure. Affordable Aluminum was exactly what their name says they are. The work got done 2 weeks ahead of schedule and now I spend all my time enjoying my back yard and having a place to stay dry while I watch the rain.The company answered all my questions and kept me in the loop on all the steps to acquire the permits and have the inspections completed. Work is fantastic and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!

We called upon Affordable Aluminum to replace large sections of our pool cage that had rotted away. Their installers replaced over 100 ft. of walls, installed two new doors, and re-screened large areas. The new walls are plumb and square. The transitions from the aluminum to the existing stucco walls were caulked in neatly.Their crew arrived on time and stayed busy for two days. When they completed the job everything was cleaned up.The end result is a brand new cage that truly updates our pool area.Prior to their arrival I had been painting my house. To that end I had removed a gutter downspout so as to paint the wall behind it. That downspout was still on the ground when the installers from AA showed up. At some point during their two days here they took it upon themselves to reinstall the downspout for me, something I never asked them to do but certainly appreciated their initiative.I will certainly call upon Affordable Aluminum again.

John always got back to me with answers to my questions or suggestions. The guys in the back work hard and do great work. Not sure where the poor reviews are coming from.

I needed two Bermuda shutters for two windows of our home. i did a generic search on google map, some 8 or 9 companies popped up on the map. so i proceeded to start calling one by one from the top. long story short, i called at least 8 companies. of which, 1 is internet based who would charge more than $300 for shipping; 5 others have no show rooms and will not give me an estimate based on my window size: all insisted that they send their sales person to come out to measure, only then will they give me an estimate. (i wonder why????)of the 5, one promised that someone would call me to schedule an appt, and no one did. of the last 2, one has show room which we stopped by. the guy in the shop told me someone in sales would call me after i told him what we were looking for; again, no one called. the last one was AA who also has show room (a rare find in this line of work) we went over to see what they have, met a very knowledgeable young man Juan who looks younger than his real age but is mature and professional beyond his age! juan answered all my questions with great clarity and patience yet without any pushy BS up sell! (breath of fresh air!) we picked up our shutters yesterday and it was beautifully done! easy to install design,high quality of construction and flawless paint job! i am very happy that i found this company and moving forward would not consider any other company for this type of work!

They handled everything from the start like pulling the permit, Communicating thru the job, and when they were done I couldnt find anything to pick apart! They did a very nice job. (By the way in this picture the job wasnt quite finished with gutters and trim but it looked great!) Ive used them before and wouldnt hesitate to use them again, the whole process went very smooth. something to think about if your a price shopper. A cheaper price doesnt mean a better job or no headaches getting the job done. Thanks affordable!!!

We want tp thank the owner and Lisa for their help in this matter. Apparently the county had lost the records on our permit for construction of our birdcage over our pool in 1997. Therefore in closing on our house it was held up until we could have the open permit closed.We were more than satisfied with your response to our problem. Well done Affordable Aluminum, Five stars!!

I contacted Affordable Aluminum on a family recommendation and I was not disappointed with the service provided. I had an old enclosed aluminum pan roof over my back patio that was badly needing replaced. Mr. Walker was prompt and arrived as scheduled and provided me with a fair and competitive estimate. The installation was completed approximately 3 weeks after the final signing of all paperwork and I couldn’t be happier with the way it looks. When the new structure was installed, we unfortunately had a ton of rain that seemed to last for over a week with very little sunshine due to a tropical system. The structure developed a few leaks (as the sealant did not have time to cure due to all the rain) but a crew was immediately sent back out once the rain stopped to address the issue. I had an enjoyable experience while dealing with this company. Everyone I spoke to and dealt with were professional, courteous and polite. This is an honest reputable company that has been in business for a long time that follows through with what they say! They have my recommendation.

The entire project was brought to my home in large pre-fab pieces with the screens partially installed.90% of the work was done in one day. Their attention to detail was excellent. Stay away!!!I purchased a home and the previous owner had an aluminum roof installed 2 years ago.The roof started to leak in several places. Affordable Aluminum was contacted and would not cover their work.Several roofers have stated the work is of poor quality.I Do Not recommend Affordable Aluminum of Largo.

Made my second trip to this place in the last week. Their customer service certainly warrants this review. Ive started to use this company for screening materials, (Screen, Spline, etc.) Armed with a few questions in hand at my first visit, I was greeted by John behind the counter. This guy is very personable, professional and knowledgeable. John quickly prepared my order and answered my questions.Of equally importance was a another gentlemen named Mark. Mark appears to work in the back and after speaking with him for several minutes, Mark quickly proved he is a Master of his craft! In not sure where to start, after interviewing multiple companies to build a 14X29 Florida room addition onto our home we met Scott Sr. and within 5 minuets we knew we found the right local, family owned company. We explained what we wanted and with their guidance we agreed on a design and price. The install coordinator Lisa kept us unto date on the install process and everything happened like they said it would. After the slab was poured and cured their install team arrived and did what I can only say was an incredible job. Paid a lot of money for original structure build by Affordable Aluminum, but needed simple aluminum 3X6 screened door replaced. Said it would be 2 months before they could look at it, and a $1000 minimum, and even more for them to do it. They did a good original job, but wont have them do anymore work. Too bad, but now I understand the other reviews. They obviously cant afford to keep a customer happy. Nor can they now afford to keep a customer out of principal.

I generally do not rate companies but I am making an exception because if my experience. Affordable Aluminum roofed over a large patio adjacent to a pool for the previous owner of my home. The previous owner highly recommended the company as did my next door neighbor who used them to install a pool cage. I used Affordable Aluminum to screen in the existing porch and install Bahama Shutters on the exterior of my house. I am extremely happy with the quality of the work and the value they provided. Everyone I worked with, from the owners to office personnel to installers, were professional, conscientious and very customer focused. The did what they promised to do and kept me informed every step of the process. Should I have a need I will use them again.

Very poor customer service! we had a $10,000 awning installed by them approx. 3 years ago, which developed a half-dozen leaks over the last year or so. the owner came to my house to check it out, and was very congenial. later when I called to see when they were going to come to fix the leaks I was told to find a handyman or a roofer! we did not expect it to be free, we just figured the people who installed it would be most knowledgable to find the leaks! very disappointed in this man and his company.

Scot Wolcker the owner of this company most unprofessional, rood, is a bad person I ever met!!!Come to my house to replace Florida glass on my Florida room door, but they cut plastic bug and put on the door: If you know for God don’t deal with this people!!!

Scott the estimator has ZERO people skills. I never received my estimate- - instead of apologizing- he argues that he did send it. Not in my spam either. Got awnings before, and they had a lot of sharp edges!! They are just trying to crank them out! No attention to details. Rate them on the bottom.

Referred to Afford Aluminum by Country Park board. When I called the woman said the job I asked about was too small a job for them. Felt they put on airs. She didnt even suggest they could send out a salesman to evaluate my situation. Affordable Aluminum just lost a pretty big job for all I wanted. Just needed information on how to go about getting everything I needed. But the woman persisted asking me for mobile home language that i have no idea what its called. I will NOT recommend this store and will notify the Board here at Country Park not to refer anymore new people to them. Arrogance and no salesmanship.

Called to have someone come out to give me a quote for a carport. I was ok with having to wait 3 weeks, but when I was transferred to a woman receptionist, she decided that St. Pete was too strict with codes and expected me to do all the leg work in contacting St. Pete code. When I told her that was her companys job, as theyre licensed and should know the municipalities rules, she decided that they could not do the job at my location and refused to send someone out. Other peoples reviews of this companys arrogant rudeness is accurate. In reviewing Heathers response, I stand with my comment. Since my phone call to Affordable Aluminum, Ive had THREE reputable aluminum/carport companies come to the property with the city codes and knowledge of them, and they stated IT IS POSSIBLE TO INSTALL A CARPORT. If your company is overwhelmed, be honest about it. Dont lie and make excuses. Had I not moved forward with other quotes, I would have taken Heathers lie about not being able to construct a carport as truth.
