My favorite local repair shop. Honest and reasonably priced. They dont work on exotic cars. They also honor warranties even when its expensive for them to do it. A $200 part went bad that takes 8 hours to replace and it was replaced for free.

Charged me to repair the air conditioner when all they did was recharge the freon. Air conditioner is still leaking. Do not recommend this place for anything.It was under my sisters name. it is what it is you guys made some money I just wont go back to your store

They serviced my entire a/c in an 05 Trailblazer and couldnt be more happy with the results. With a little bit of patience, I would recommend anybody to get serviced here.

I brought my 2009 volkswagen passat to dannys ice cold air and we agreed upon a price. he told me my car would be back to me by the end of the day if there were no “unforeseen circumstances “ which he kept saying. later i get a call about a piece being “broken” and me having to pay $300 dollars more for it, which was broken in his care. he also had an attitude. danny needs to learn to communicate better.

Ac was blowing hot..2 other places couldnt find problem ..took it here they found problem and didnt try to rip me off !! Simple relay switch..didnt try to upsell etc..plus got me right in..these guys rule!!!!

I went to my dealership to find out why my A/C wasnt cooling and they were trying to rip me off saying it was my A/C evaporator thats making a rattling noise and not making my interior cool off. My Dodge dealership was trying to scam me off $2000 for an evaporator replacement. After trying couple of other A/C shops with expensive quotes of $1000-$2000, I decided to try Ice Cold Air Discount Auto on East Bay, Largo. The manager at the shop was very helpful and after a thorough inspection, he told me it was my motor blower making the rattling noise and causing the A/c cease from working time to time. The motor blower was replaced and he saved me a lot of cost and even gave me a discount of only charging me $250 after tax plus Labor. My A/c as been working perfect and extremely cooling off after 60 days of repair. I would definitely recommend this shop for any A/c repairs.

I went to Ice Cold Air to have my 2008 Jeep Wranlger transmission serviced. I called and got a quote to replace the filter, new gasket, and refill transmission. About an hour after I dropped off the vehicle I receive a call informing me that the exhaust cross over pipe needed to be dropped to get to the rear transmission pan bolts. This would be an additional $100.00. The initial cost was already above well known transmission shops in the area, however, I chose Ice Cold Air because they could do the work that day. I now know it was a mistake on my part to agree to the additional up-charge. The exhaust cross over pipe was never touched, you only needed to remove two bolts on the cross brace under the transmission and raise it about an inch to reach the rear pan bolts. Yes, I was up-charged for work not needed and not done.When I picked up my Jeep I noticed on the invoice they used Mercron V to refill the transmission. When I questioned the desk manager he said it was the same as what the manufacturer uses. I checked this out Mercron V is not the same or in any way equivalent to ATF+4 which is required in this vehicle. It lacks additional friction modifiers that are in ATF+4 and would cause the clutch packs in the transmission to wear quicker. I contacted an automatic transmission specialist and was instructed to add friction modifiers, remove and replace as much fluid as possible, drive it briefly and again remove and replace as much fluid as possible to mitigate any damage caused by putting Mercron V into the Jeeps transmission.I contacted Ice Cold Air corporate and informed them what took place, they replied by apologizing and said the franchise owner was informed and would be in contact with me hopefully to resolve the issue. A week has past and I have not been contacted.

I went here for an estimate...they wanted over 800.00 to replace an air conditioning compressor on my santa Fe.....and..they were prepping me for an even higher outcome once the work started.... claiming...YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT ELSE COULD BE WRONG...LMFAO...so..I looked around at local small professional shops and got it done for less than 480.00 bucks out the door at 49st.auto repair.....it pays to shop around...ice cold air wanted what I paid just for the part and they told me on the phone they mark up parts almost twice to going rate...they actually told me this...what a joke...

Been here. Couple times first was my truck A/C had a problem second internal engine problem both time the guy at the front desk was not very informative about both separate time. Always the worst caseAnd to a point argumentative first time they fixed my ac problem that’s good second time he is telling me I need a new engine they could sell me.Here is the kicker. I am very familiar with engines ect. I know my way about a motor. Been messing with them my whole lifeI gave him my opinion and he went in to full on defensive mode then he wanted to hear the engine run and said. I don’t know. I am not a mechanic if so if such is the case which I doubt why are non mechanical people at the desk who can pass on bad and misinformed information the thing is the front desk is your ambassador for your image to the public. That’s all I got to say except I don’t think I would use them again unless desperate and only if I really really had to. Why because coming away from a place of business very annoyed and angry is not my idea of a good time. May the force go with you.

My second repair there and they are thorough and reasonably priced.

My daughter was recommended to this location for an AC recharge. All went well and the price was fair. When the air went out in my BFs car, we took it there. The night drop off is fantastic. There is a key dropbox along with an information envelope that you fill out. After diagnosis, the owner called us and explained our options. He allowed us time to tall it over, then fixed the part and it seemed to be fixed. Two weeks later, the air went out again. We repeated the drop off process, again, very convenient for us. He called and explained he should have done the full repair last time even though it seemed like the first part did the trick. We consented and he only charged us for the part, not the labor. He charges reasonable rates anyway, but we felt like this was the right thing to do and we didnt even have to ask. During this whole debacle, the power steering on our other car sprung a leak in the tube. He fixed that for us as well. We drive older cars because we dont like car payments. Getting from point a to b is more important to us than style. The owner understands that and always gives us a quote before doing work. We are always cognizant of replacement vs repair. It is always hard moving from a thousand miles away, but I think we finally found the right mechanic for us. I highly recommend this shop, for repairs and AC work.

Took my vehicle in for the AC. Tried to sell me a $799.00 compressor, took it elsewhere the compressor is fine. The shop in Clearwater did the same thing except they wanted $1000.00. Beware

I’ve been to this shop twice. The first time the manager was awesome. Actually found a problem Chevrolet wasnt admitting and fixed it for a fraction of Chevy’s price. They later sent out a recall. So I went back to this shop to have my brakes down, same manager who was great, however prices were a little high, but I trusted the manager since he helped me out so much. Was charged a price for brake pads that should have been premium pads. Got the vehicle and heard a little bit of metal grinding, typical on new pads so no big deal. However 3-4 months now and the pads and squeling louder than ever. I feel like they put the cheapest pads they could and charged me as much as possible for them. They get the service done quickly and the manager is awesome, but extremely disappointed after this.

My air wasnt blowing as cold as usual & this location is very close to my home so I figured Id stop in to see what they had to say. After assessing the situation Danny explained in ways I could understand.Even after I mentioned the cost of the repairs may not be within my foreseeable future (costs were well within the average cost for the area) he remained pleasant & low pressure, letting me know they were there if I needed them.I was able to manage the cost after all & I gladly give 5 stars for promptness of service, cost, and kind customer service.

Took our car (a Hyundae Sonata, 2013) in to repair the ac yesterday, they diagnosed the problem, fixed it for a very fare amount and a very timely manner ( w/in 2 hrs). My wife is happy with her cold ac...!Polite, friendly and courteous. Will definitely go back if any other ac issues occur...!

My husband brought our 2002 Gran Prix to Ice Cold Air in Largo after spending over $200 at another repair shop who couldnt (or didnt) fix the a/c issue. Steven and his crew worked diligently to find the problem, over several days, and although it cost a bit more than we had expected, Ice Cold Air found & corrected ALL the issues involved and took the time to show my husband for a fact the affected parts were damaged or worn out. Our a/c has never been colder in the 7 years weve owned the car and we thank Ice Cold Air for that!

Excellent Service. I had my A/C serviced because the air was blowing warm. Phil the manager took my car in and initially told me the steps he was taking to see if there was a leak. His technician added dye which showed a slow leak. Additionally my Compressor was failing. The leak was repaired and the compressor was changed at a very reasonable cost. Thank you Phil. Only because I couldnt give a zero. 3 times in one year I had to have a compressor replaced that was under warranty. Every time they tried to sell me other services to cover their warranty cost. We live here locally & would never recommend this place to anyone. Dont use this place, had a AC Check, paid for a recharge that didnt work or cool anything down. Wasted my time and money. Then gave me some off the wall price about redoing the entire a c unit starting at over $600 bucks. Another area shop ripping people off. You have been warned. Get this, fixed my a c for only $50 bucks and it works fine. This place will rip you off!

I had no appointment and Phil was able to order parts and repair my a/c on Sat 7/1/17. He had an Uber driver take me home and back to pick up my car. The excellent service and reasonable price will definitely keep my business and recommendation.

Brought my car in for an AC diag and fix. Was expecting the price to be high from reading about my particular car and how bad the HVAC is. Price came to $110 and I went on my way. It worked for about 4 days, then back to warm air.Had they taken their time, found all the leaks, they could have made more money off our transaction. I need AC in my car and am willing to pay for it to be fixed. Too little, too late.EDIT: I took my car to another local mechanic who has a high reputation(Hoover and Sons, check em out). He spent 2 minutes before finding the issue. It was the exact part I was thinking it was. The total repair cost was $385, which I paid without question. AC works flawlessly. Ice Cold, I suggest you either hire more competent mechanics or stop nickel and diming your customers. Ill never recommend you in the future.

I called these guys on a Friday right before I left town. They were polite and professional. I explained that I was working and on a limited budget but I had to get the work done before making my voyage.They were able to provide me with a loaner car so that I could get back to work after my lunch break. I had to have my A/C system worked on (new compressor, condenser, accumulator), a new serpentine belt put on, oil pan gasket replaced, drivers window switch replaced, and headlights replaced. They called and updated me for the cost of parts.My car hasnt had any oil leak since and my A/C blows nice and cold.I have nothing but good things to say about these guys.

If you want to be scammed out of $900 go here. Or go to a real mechanic and get the job done for $40. When they tell you your car will not take Freon dont believe them. They said I would need a new compressor and accumulater because my car would not get cold from the Freon the put into it which is a lie because who puts Freon in your car for free? NOBODY! But Thats what they said. So after a $900 quote to fix I Went to my mechanic watched him put Freon in my car. $40 later ice cold air! Only liars and scammers here beware!

Worst experience ever. Quoted one price, then charged over $100 more. They installed an a/c compressor and dryer. If you or I go to a parts store the total cost would be under $150, they get a wholesale price much lower than this. They charged me $525 total, which means labor and profit was $375. They never got a signature from me before starting work, which is required by Florida State Law. They also didnt break down the invoice separating parts and labor. They also charge almost $40 for shop supplies? Run away from these CROOKS!

Horrible sabatoged my van while over looking a in side leak I’d payed to fix prior left running 5 hours put a hole in something used what looks like cat litter to plug glogged block couldn’t drive it out my mechanic is having to replace entire system and radiator 2000.00 to fix.Stephen front desk running a scam claims they didn’t do prior work I’ve recipes AC doesn’t even work had breaks done metal to metal noises air blower replaced louder than old one won’t blow cold.absolute nightmare.

I am very sad to take my moms car here for an oil change & tire rotation & immediately after she complained about a tire noise that got worse each day until she thought her car wouldnt make it back home.. she drove to another mechanic shop to find out the lug nuts were loose on her car & the wheel/s were not secure! Omg, what kind of game are they playing to leave my mom unsafe, this needs to be reported & not overlooked :(

Came in for an ac issue and out of the gate $140 diagnostic charge and then told $350 for blower motor and labor charge for total of $490 no way for $147 at AutoZone and 10 minutes of my own labor was able to fix it three screw removal of blower no way that I can recommend these guys theyll Rob you blind second opinion
