I went here for years dropping money on tape extensions. Until I found out they more than triple charge for what you can buy on Amazon..Do your research* In response to silkys response to my review-I believe that the best experience you can have with hair extensions is actually wearing them.You can tell pretty quickly by how the hair holds up to washing and styling if it is quality or not. I used your brand for over a year and then found several brands on Amazon for 1/3 of the price that held up either the same or better. The brands on Amazon also usually will include extra tape for reapplication, whereas your store charges for extra tapes.

Not only that, they need to change the NO REFUND/NO EXCHANGE on their receipts.It states as follows:No refund, exchange only within 15 days with receipt. Must be in original package and condition.I took three hair products back that DID NOT work for my hair (used it one time), and they would NOT let me exchange it for anything. They told me that it has to be in its original packaging and condition. In case you dont understand, like I thought I understood, the word CONDITION, to them, means UNOPENED...!!!! My question was why dont you put JUST THAT on your receipt because I did not get that from reading your stipulations. I told them that I will NEVER EVER shop there again!!!!!!

My friend who lives in a Largo told me about this hair store. I live in Clearwater and the only hair store I’ve gone to a couple of times is the one on Drew street which is horrible! I went to this particular one and I was surprised by the massive choice of hair they had and great deals! The lady helping me ( cannot remember her name) was amazing, knowledgeable and very helpful! I will definitely come back for more hair!

When you go in there it seems like you are being watched like a black sea hawk. They sit and watch through their camera devices. Not very comfortable!! I feel like a felon by the time I leave out. Otherwise, the people are consistent and professional. Small but efficient store.

I visited Silky Beauty Supply on a rainy Saturday so business was slow. You would think that the sales associates would be on their A game to make sales but I guess not. I was looking for a wig and the young lady sales associate seemed annoyed that I was looking to buy something. She avoided eye contact and made sure she stayed far away from where I was browsing. If I asked her for help she seemed annoyed and when every wig that I was interested in was either completely sold out or sold out in the color I wanted, she made no attempt to offer suggestions on other wigs. I finally found a wig that I liked on my own and made my purchase. The cashier, another young lady was very pleasant. Overall, they don’t have a huge selection of wigs but they do have a huge selection of other hair products and that sales associate in the wig department needs better training.

I was very excited to find this place on the internet and went to visit this shop for the first time today. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I was happy to see a big selection of wigs when I walked in . there was a young woman working and offered me a stocking cap for my head to try on some wigs.She provided me one and went back to work which made me happy because I hate when sales people are aggressive and don’t let you shop. 5 minutes in to trying on a few wigs an older woman came over and started yelling at me because she said I had to put the wigs I tried on over on a separate table so they could be fixed before being put back on the shelf. At that moment I had a wig I had tried on and was looking at buying but she came over so aggressively that it kind of scared me away from the area. If she would have instead asked me if I needed help I probably would have inquired about the wig I found. I put my hat back on and decided to go look at some of the wig products for my wig I have at home. I wound up with a brush and went to the counter. The same lady came over to ring me up and asked if the stocking cap under my hat was mine or if they gave it to me to try on wigs. I told her they gave it to me and she wanted it back. She said if I purchased a wig I could have kept it. I was kind of startled that she wanted it back do they re-use them on people’s heads?? I had every intention of throwing the cheap stocking piece away as soon as I left the store. I handed her the stocking and she threw it on the floor. She was extremely rude and with being a new cancer patient who is new to chemo, baldness, and wigs I pretty much left the store in tears. I will never ever go back there and I hope this review helps someone else that’s feeling vulnerable from such an awful experience

Went for a front lace wig install, let me start out by saying The two stylist one was named D was saying that my child is spoiled and giving their opinions on my parenting! In front of two other clients. You do not give any opinion about a customer in regards to their parenting. Very unprofessional! Have some class! Come to find the wig that was installed was glued on backwards, The cap apparently was not the same size as my head and was way too big, which the stylist did not mention when installing the wig. I found out all this information when I went to another beauty supply store, to get my wig fixed. How do you install a wig backwards? The glue was all over my hair...The glue that was used made me break out in a rash, I texted her to let her know what happen, and if she can do the tape instead, she ignored my text message about doing the tape and showed no remorse. All she said was how was she supposed to know I wasn’t going to have a reaction. Understandable to a degree, but she should’ve offered to help in some way, or showed remorse of the hives in the back of my neck and my scalp. But she did neither, and just ignored my message about me coming back to the salon for the tape. Shouldn’t you ask your customers if their skin sensitive? So how do you install a wig backwards? Extremely upset..Will not be returning to the Largo location.

This store has a secret most beauty supply stores dont. They have two lovely stylist in the back that service both genders and all ethnics The stylist are considerate of your time by scheduling your appointments. You are rarely kept waiting.. The store even provides a small discount if your purchase is used at the time of your servicing. This store is the largest of its kind that is located within a reasonable drive from Clearwater/Indian Rock beaches.

Ive been buying from this store for over seven years . The employees are always kind and helpful. There is a HUGE selection of hair to buy,icy af jewelery, makeups, even a salon. There is dyes,hair products and shoes. So much to browse and its located in great shopping center.

This hair supply store has everything and the prices are reasonable. The only thing I wish they would consider is an aisle that is dedicated to natural hair products. They already have the products, but I have to go around to different aisles to find things. If all the natural hair products were together, it would be easier to make an educated purchase.

Bad customer service in wig dept. I would give no stars if i could. I came in prepared to buy. I walk pass and even said hello. She did not have a customer just stood there looking. 10 minutes later The lady comes over says I saw you digging. Just get the mannequin and I will find the wig! Its obvious that I needed help but poor customer service skills led you to stand there and watch me rather than ask do I need help. So I proceed to say the wig I chose is not on a mannequin but I saw it on the shelf just trying to find the right color. I did not open a pack or come to try anything on. She starts getting an attitude and even sucked her teeth. I came from Tarpon Springs to visit but You will not get my money. I would rather drive to Tampa or St. Pete before ever setting foot in this place. The guy at the register and ladies in the salon portion are always very nice but the lady in the wig department could use a course in customer service and common courtesy. She is clearly lacking it.

I love this hair store, they have everything you need, INCLUDING a hair salon inside of the store. I have bought many packs of hair, makeup items, body jewelry and beauty utensils here and I have also had my hair done by Dee in the hair salon.The workers are always super nice and quick.

I havent returned to this establishment for quite some time. And I like it that way. The last time I was there the managers disrespectful daughter chose to cop a punk-a$$ attitude. I called her out on that bullsh!t, by stating, Have some respect! Im a customer and asked a question. Treat me like a human being. Her mother scolded hurt when she noticed my disgust. BUT, too little too late. So much for stereotypes and Asian people being Poster Children of Respect and Honor. #sarcasm

Wont go back. I went in to buy a crocheting needle for my dreadlocks because mine had snapped. The guy working the counter handed me one and said it was the only kind they carried. I asked him what size the needle was he said this is what you need. They have it on YouTube I bought it because it was $1. Also the wrong size. How do I know? I HAVE DREADS. Stop employing people who are clueless about hair.
