All around a good experience. I brought my daughter in here to try out her new clubs and find out whether or not they needed to be cut down to fit her. 2 hours later the owner spent time teaching her technique and swing methods that have become very effective in her game. I bought a custom putter as well that is exceptional.

Ernest is the MAN! He can get you extra distance and his know how is amazing. I have played my whole life, and he’s a guy who tells you little things that impact your game. He also can rehab a whole swing. His club fitting skills are awesome. I’ve spent $3k plus on a set before and he will fix what you’ve got and charge you for just what you need. Love the honestly and passion here. Will come back forever.

So I started playing golf in my late 20’s and I have always enjoyed the game, no matter how fair or terrible I played. I was never able to truly figure out the mechanics of the game so I settled on being mediocre at best, as long as I had fun. I played a game recently with a friend who happen to have a set of extended clubs, we are both around the same height and he let me try them out, what a difference.When I decided it was time to get a new set I wanted to get measured for a custom length set. A friend of mine told me about Blue Collar Golf. From the moment I walked in the doors I was greeted politely and professionally, and the owner immediately began helping me with my swing, Stan e and mechanics, after about a half hour he was able to determine what I needed to improve my game. He had a new set built in less than a week and I have played some of my best golf yet. Today I played 18 holes up in Apopka Florida and for the first time Ever I played an entire game without loosing a single ball, (I did come close). But never lost a single ball.If you’re looking for a fancy shop, this isn’t your store, if you prefer to deal with condescending sales people that know less than you about the game, this is not your store.However, if you are looking for an honest, fair and constructively critical assessment of your skills and need help finding the right club or a custom set to improve your game, look no further.He takes the time to work with you and truly wants to help regular people improve their game.

Originally came here because I had hand me down clubs, but needed a putter. Every time I’ve been in, 3 times now, it’s only been Ernest; the owner. He’s an easy going, good guy. Not the cleanest, fanciest shop, but that’s okay because that’s not what I’m there for. I just started playing golf about a month ago and after using my 60 year old hand me down clubs a few weeks on the course and getting addicted, I decided to buy some new ones. Depending on your skill he may recommend lessons instead of clubs, but for me and my old clubs he suggest both. He wasn’t pushy at all with the sale, just told me a price and said let me know when you’re ready. I went to another shop who wanted to charge me $350 for a club fitting, before they even sold me any equipment. Ernest will let you swing for 20 minutes on the simulator as he gives you a free pointers and won’t even charge you, but at the same time is fitting you for clubs, free of charge. I spent less on 8 new clubs than I would have for just a fitting at the other place, with no clubs. As of now I’m giving 5 stars based on experience, as well as my friend who hasn’t bought clubs, but has taken lessons. I’m picking up my clubs tomorrow and will change the rating if I feel differently, but I don’t foresee that being the case. At least drop by here, you won’t be pressured into spending any money and you’ll pick up a few good pointers.

Ernie runs a great golf shop. He is expert at club fitting and a great golf teacher with the Trackman golf monitor to show how your shots flew.He also built custom clubs for my wife, and the price was super good and great quality. Dont waste money on name brand clubs... You can come get totally custom clubs for way less here.He has also been giving both of us lessons, and he is really great at using different methods to help you understand how to properly hit that little white ball!

Decided to stop by after reading all the great reviews and was in the market for a new set of clubs. Stopped by about at 3 on a Friday and there were about 5 or 6 men sitting down and some behind the counter. I came in seemingly unnoticed, no hi, welcome, or can we help you, so I went about checking out the store that was filled with old, used clubs and a few random clothing racks and a half a dozen or so of older sets on the wall. I walked backed towards the front and stood there unnoticed until I felt uncomfortable and turned for the door. This guy may be great, I have no idea, he never bothered to greet me and of the men in the store I didnt have any idea who even worked there or which one was Ernest. Felt like I had walked into someones clubhouse where I wasnt a member. Guess its on to Golf Galaxy...

I live in S.C. and met Ernest while on vacation a good many years ago. We have had periodic dealings over the years. He has made clubs both for my grandson and for me, and also reshafted a set of my irons. All of these services have been completely satisfactory. I always look forward to visiting his shop.

Ernest helped my girlfriend cut to the chase with a good midsize grip that he was able to replace in under 5 minutes! High quality work done on anything you need repaired or constructed as new. VERY knowledgeable in club making or instruction. Indoor hitting range, so you can try out clubs for a fitting or just seeing if club fits you properly. Highly recommended for all golf needs.

Great experience. A lof stock to look at. As soon as I entered I was greeted and set up on his simulator to take some practice swings. Went over some of the shaft differences and what I should be looking for for my type of swing. Then he regripped a club for me on the spot in about 30s. Gave me a great price. I know where Ill be going to get any new shafts or club repairs. Really no reason not to just grab one of his used and have him refit it with whatever you want. No cheaper way to golf, and you are still getting good quality parts. I definitely liked that he was there and attentive to me, ready to fit me with what I needed. Not the kind of attention you will get most anywhere else.The guys apparently host a radio show for golf tips and just general story telling in the local area. This shop was a real gem to have stumbled across. Theyll be getting more business from me for sure.

New to golf, looking for beginner clubs for myself and my daughter. The owner took the time to show me a few different clubs and let me try the golf simulator out for a good 15 minutes while he gave me some pointers. I ended up buying a used driver and will bring my daughter back in to get a set of clubs.

Ernest is a very good professional owner of a golf shop. I went there about two years ago for some golf grips and he was vertical knowledgeable about the golf name. I have been golfing about 12 years now. I visit his shop now about once a week and I have notice a big difference in my golf game. Even if you have clubs or equiment that he cant buy, he will give you an honest answer about how you should go about selling them or what you may be able to get for them on your own via Ebay. Every time I go in there I learn something that helps my game. No matter how good you think your swing is, Ernie will find something in your swing that he can make it even better with just small tweaks, especially if youre having trouble hitting your irons..... It all started at Blue Collar Golf ... my kids moved out and I had plenty of time on my hands and needed something to fill it up. My mom and dad were avid golfers so I thought I would give it a try. I walked into Blue Collar Golf and immediately felt like a member of the family. Ernest spent time going over the golfing process with me, measured me for clubs and schedule my lessons. That was 2011 and I havent stopped yet. Everyone should start with a custom set of golf clubs. We are all built so different that getting the perfect fit without a professional club fitter will cost you a lot of money in the long run. Lessons are a MUST. People tell me I look like a pro on the course ... that would not be the case if I would have tried the do it yourself path. I highly recommend this company.
