Not disappointed! We loved here for 13+ years before moving to Columbus three years ago and NEVER came here. It took a co worker letting me know about this place who vacations here every year. She said we better get the fresh orange juice soft serve.Swing by on our last day of vacation to see what all the fuss was about and WOW!! I got a small mixed soft serve and it immediately brought me back to my childhood of having orange sherbet popsicles but this was better. Looking forward to having it again next year!!

Great little place. It’s nice to see someone still selling citrus. The fresh juice is like nothing you have ever had. You have to taste it to see for yourself. I’ll chime in with the other reviewers and say the ice cream was amazing. You definitely have to get the swirl, it’s just like the creamsicle I remember having as a kid. Very nice staff. Glad to see a local business do well. I’m going back tomorrow for a Key lime pie.

Wonderful products! The ice cream is often recommended, and it is very good. We enjoy the key lime pie more. Its available frozen as tarts or full sized pie.

Stopped by after seeing this place on a news segment for Largo, Fl. Oranges, grapefruit, jams, souvenirs and more. Ice cream made from oranges and vanilla ice cream. So good.

Prices are a little high however you cant get fresher squeezed Citrus juice anywhere else. Everything from Orange Juice to tangerine juice is available here. Also you gotta try their citrus Swirled Soft Serve ice cream. It is to die for. Great place for tourists and locals alike.

Used to frequent another similar establishment for orange ice cream. Decided to try this place today. Ice cream was mediocre and the service was horrible. I went to pay for two ice cream cones and the lady asked if I had cash (rather than a card) because they’re out here using 1965 cash registers. I checked my purse and had only $7 cash ($0.49 short). Two of the ladies here literally sat and bashed me right in front of my face. One said “did she see the $10 credit card minimum”. Like 1. no I obviously didn’t and 2. had she just mentioned that nicely I would’ve bought something to equal the purchase out to $10. Will not be returning. Unless you also would like to drive 30 minutes for orange ice cream to be harassed, I wouldn’t recommend.

Great to see a bit of old Florida culture, real oranges, all sorts of souvenirs, and of course orange swirl ice cream. Worth visiting and most definitely if you are a tourist.

The best. All the old school FL vibes. This is the fun Florida I remember as a kid. I was so excited to bring my kids back this holiday. The orange and vanilla mix is amazing. I love all the old school trinkets and salt water taffy. It’s just so classic.

Great place!!! I was told that the orange creamsicle was a MUST HAVE when you visit Yellow Banks Groves!! YES...it definitely is a MUST HAVE!! Im visiting the St. Pete area, and I tried one! WOW!!! It was incredible!! Friendly staff as well! I WILL be back, no doubt!

I always come back a few times a year when they re-open, always friendly, and there ice cream and pie is amazing! A big thing too is constancy, you know what you’re getting every time and it’s delicious. I wish they were open later in some capacity to get ice cream or pie since they close before most eat dinner, but it’s what they have always done and never changes that which I can understand so employees can be home in time for dinner themselves.

Ok...not many options of citrus. Oj was very bitter when we got home. The oj at the store was good, so just drink it there.

The food is great and the options are quite unique. Tangerine marmalade, orange butter, fresh juice, banana strawberry bread, etc. Lots of Florida trinkets and candy, including salt water taffy. They do have soft serve vanilla, orange, and swirl ice cream as well, that is delicious. The place is clean and requires a mask during COVID. Staff is what gave it a four. They were very rude and lacking customer service, not really what youd expect from a Florida citrus spot. My wife had her hands full when they tried to give her her ice cream, and staff said um is someone going to take this. Like yeah, of course...just wait a minute while I put my card away...

They ship very poor quality fruit. Customer service is rude and directed me to just fill it the postcard and mail it. They should have been able to take the information over the phone and could have been more polite. Appreciate the the sentiment from the the sender, my parents, but instructed them to never ship from Yellow Grove again.I sent them the post card, we will see if they re ship better quality fruit and I will update this review.If you are considering shipping from here, see the photos I posted before spending your $80.00.

A little thrown off by the dusty smell when you first walk in, I was somewhat disappointed with the orange and ice cream cup almost all icecream a tiny sliver of the very tasty orange sherbet that they are known for, Get the Orange ! Its worth the trip

Very poor quality fruit. Purchased a five pound bag of red grapefruit yesterday, at least one so far has been partially rotten, and flavor is well below usual Florida citrus standards. Also an abundance of fruit flies while I shopped, may have contributed to poor fruit quality. I will go elsewhere for citrus next time.

Fresh jucies and lots of Florida products. Clean and friendly staff. We aways use their juice in making cranberry sauce from scratch instead of water. Yummy ice cream cones. Wish they had lime and pineapple swirl. Fun place to bring your out of state guests.

Went here for some orange juice & a cone. I just ordered vanilla, because Im not a fan of the creamsicle ice cream. My cousin got a vanilla orange twist cone, & let me tell you, this is not your normal run of the mill creamsicle..i tried a bite & instantly regretted that I got only vanilla. The lady that rang us up must have heard me say that I wished I had got the twist cone, because she came running out behind us & have me a little cup with the twist Ive cream in it. It was so nice of her to do that, I was very thankful that I got some of the twist! The orange part of the ice cream is a dark orange, you can also get an all orange cone, along with the twist & vanilla choices. The orange juice is fresh squeezed! Well worth the trip!!

Best citrus in town. A pink grapefruit is a big pink grapefruit with a great taste and loaded with juice. Not dried up and small like the grocery stores. Very friendly atmosphere and ya have to try the orange vanilla custard, to die for. Also try the tangerine juice, youll be hooked.

The ice cream had to strong of an orange taste. It was just to over powering of a taste I could not eat it. Other than that all was good. Love the taffy.

Best Orange Swirl vanilla ice cream in town. My mom enjoys the ride there and we sit outside safe distance and enjoy our ice cream. The best honeybell oranges on this side of the Mississippi. They practice clean safe service I highly recommend before all the honeybells are gone. Theres usually a coupon in the Largo Ledger newspaper for $10.85 for a bag of oranges honeybells delicious

Has absolutely no idea about covid county mandate. Threw my 5 year old son out of the store without their icecream. Absolutely no one in the store and able to maintain 6 feet.Our firm will never order another basket or item from this business again. They were so rude and upset my children.

LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. Responding to a newspaper ad and direct mail (as a prior customer) my wife and I drove over an hour and arrived 35 minutes prior to the 5:30 scheduled closing time to make purchases for several families. It became quickly obvious that when management stated a closing time of 5:30 it meant 5:30. So, we dropped plans to purchase for five families and concentrated on rushing to get through with the remaining two -- one order to go and one to be shipped (which I cancelled the next day). We were out by 5:34.

Nice to see a local business doing well. The orange juice was less sweet than in years past but the Tangerine juice was Excellent.

This place has the best ice cream! We have really enjoyed stopping in and getting an orange vanilla twist cone. It’s just makes your day when you taste that tart crisp orange ice cream. The store has some fun souvenirs and they also will ship fruit. So if you want to send a loved one some Florida oranges this is the place to go.

On 2/26/21 my wife and I went in to get some honeybells. They were very pricey so I bought two to just try them.They looked like they had been dyed like the Sunkist from California where usually the Florida oranges dont look so pretty but taste delicious. I really like the oranges from Indian River area near Vero Beach. This stores honeybells were so tart and not sweet at all. Usually the skin peels right off but not with these. I think for $3 for two oranges that they should have tasted better. The orange vanilla swirl was good but the staff was not very friendly. I miss Old Orange Blossom Groves on US 19 and Belaire.

In regards to J Hoopers review, LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have lived in the neighborhood of Yellow Banks Grove for almost 31 years. I personally know each and everyone of the personal that work there, including the owner. Each one of them have a family, have closes to wash, diner to make, shopping to do, and probably many more chores to do. They work from 8:00 AM until 5:30 PM each and every day of the week this time of year. What makes you think they should stay open for you, after hours to put in a 5 family order? You should have left home, or wherever you were a few hours earlier, to get there in time to place your order. It seems to me that YOU were mad that they didnt bend over backwards for a inconsiderate customer who showed up way late to place a 5 family order.I for one, will give Yellow Banks Groves a 5 star rating each and every day of the week for having GREAT personal and a fine store to shop in.

1/21 Purchased Honey Bells, very expensive and was told they were fresh in that day. They have absolutely no flavor. The vanilla/orange ice cream is very tart, not worth the money.

After the orange grove closed I started to go to this location for fresh orange juice. It’s a very small place, but the produce/products are very good and fresh. You have to try the ice cream, especially the orange juice flavor. Unlike most ice cream that just puts fake flavoring, you can feel the actual texture of what frozen orange would be like. Would recommend anyone to go, before it’s out of season again.

My family came here for an ice cream after visiting the nature park and this place did not disappoint. It was some of the best soft serve Ive ever had. They have a wide variety of oranges and grapefruits, and orange products like juice, candy and honey. There are a lot of souvenir items as well. Prices are good, fruit is delicious and its overall a very nice store.

Cant beat this place for their famous orange/vanila soft serve twist. Also biught a box of oranges for my friends up North.

Yellow banks groves has the BEST soft serve ice cream, fresh juice, fruit, honey, and all kinds of great stuff. The personal at that place are the best and knowledgeable.

Rude staff! Arrived to find out they don’t open until next week. I informed them it would be helpful if they could update their Google page as we took a break from homeschool to come here for a project on Florida. The rude woman in charge said she couldn’t be bothered to update the information as they takes too long. We have been coming here for almost 10 years as a family and 5 more before we had kids. If there were another option I’d never come back.

Ive been going here since I was a kid and now Im bringing my daughter for that awesome orange ice cream and the best juices and honey in town.

We love to go here for fresh citrus of all kinds. They always have samples. Amazing orange soft serve. I recommend the swirl. Also Florida honey, jams, candies, and gifts. Unique Florida citrus inspired gifts and confections. I absolutely loved the orange ice cream! I picked up some delicious marmalade for myself and as gifts. I tried the orange ice cream cone and it was delicious. Next time Ill try the orange vanilla blend. People there were friendly and smiling. Excellent advice in helping to pick out a delicious marmalade.

I have been shipping oranges to my family up north from Yellow Banks for over 20 years. The last couple years the quality has gone way downhill and my family has reluctantly reported horrible quality often rotten oranges delivered. This is very disappointing and calls to remedy the situation have yielded frustrating results.

This is the second time I have been in the store in two weeks and these women are just rude. The first time Im told to go to the counter and checkout when Im still shopping. The second time Im told we close at 5pm... ok I get you want to go home. I wont be back as a local person trying to spend my money locally. In this time you would think that they would be thankful for the business during the epidemic but they can worry about that challenge.

Went with my wife and both kids after school today. I have never been before. My wife and kids have. They were super excited about this orange ice cream I had never had. By the way i love ice cream, and oranges. I thought it was just an ice cream place. We go in and its awesome they have jellies and preserves all different fruit types. They have fresh juices and best of all was that ice cream. We will be making this a stop all the time. Super glad we went and we will be back.

Yellow Banks Groves is a very special place. It is like old Florida frozen in time. And frozen indeed since they have the worlds best quiescently frozen orange ice cream, made with real orange juice. It is delicious beyond description and absolutely unique. Located near the beautiful Saint Petersburg area beaches, it allows the Casual tourist a place to load up on every kind of fresh citrus, juice, honey, marmalade and other edibles. A modest array of tourist trap stuff they satisfy your need for shells or postcards. If you live in the area and never visited there will always be a second trip. After visiting once you will want to come back.
