A review from @amom2kidsandaparkHave you ever had a doughnut and you can’t stop thinking about it for days, weeks, months, later?!?🙋‍♀️Johnny Doughnut did that to meThere are three locations Rafael, San Francisco, and the one we visited in Larkspur.When you step up to the window you’re faced with the dilemma of “which do I get and do I just get one?” We couldn’t just get one… over the three of us we got like 7 😅 whoopsMy favorite and the one I’ve had dreams about since is the crodough, basically their version of the cronut but they can’t use that name cus of rules or whatever. It’s crunchy and coated in sugar and connoisseur on the outside, soft and layered on the inside, AND filled with little pillars of custard. OH. MY. GOSH!Other favorites we tried and attempted to share were the apple fritter, the old fashion, and a few flavors of the Bismark (filled with wild berry jam or chocolate vanilla cream…. 🤤🤤🤤)Oh, and I can’t forget to mention they have a vegan donut and a wheat-free donut! I overheard someone say you can even get the custard filling in a cup if for some reason you are confused and want it without the delicious crodough.Don’t forget to add your favorite beverage on the side.I love that this local business pulls supplies from other local businesses including @centralmilling @clover.sonoma @msp_petaluma and @equatorcoffees@johnnydoughnuts, you’re killin it.

Tons of options, don’t even know how I decided. The employees were friendly. Great location.

Friendly, polite staff. But as for the donuts… they look better than they taste unfortunately.

These donuts must be THE best in the Bay Area. They are not those type of donuts that use flamboyance or esoteric flavors to grab your attention. These are just honest donuts made traditionally with amazing ingredients and perfected balance of sweetness, texture and toppings. They arent cheap but theyre also quite big. A single donut will fill you up, even your heart with happiness. It is almost surreal that such a donut shop exists in Larkspur. Will return each and every time I drive by.

Donuts are really really tasty! My faves are the key lime meringue and the cronuts! They are ridiculously priced, but somehow they managed to get me to come back again the next week. They dont have prices on the foods or the drinks, but beware, its $$$.

Chance discovery. Went with kids and ordered half a dozen donuts and coffee here. Probably the best donuts I have ever had. These donuts had mass in them, heavy, chewy, balanced sweetness and oh so fresh. The coffee was great too and went well with the donuts. The location is very friendly for kids. Good job!!

Delicious doughnuts, good coffee too. Pricey, but great for an occasional, special treat.

Something for everyone! Vegan, Donut Lover...they have it. To have a warm Maple Brown Sugar Donut....I go for 2 and end up with a dozen. They are eye level! You see all that goodness and its.. I would like 2 chocolate glaze, apple, blueberry....

Yum! The Chrodoughnut was 100% worth every penny! The service was phenomenal 👏🏻. The food tastey and the prices were spot on! ( I actually think they should charge $0.50 MORE for their pastries 🍰. Mmmm mmm gooooid!

Some of the best donuts my husband and I had. They are a bit pricey but sure worth it! :)

I dream about these doughnuts and their soft yet crunchy exterior. The creative flavors, the freshness, and the details in every doughnut. Yes, Im obsessed with these doughnuts but I dont want you to go and beat me to the last apple fritter or the last old fashioned batch. I also want them to succeed so... Im at a loss.

The best, especially the strawberry topped! Real seasonal strawberries in the topping is what sets Johnnys apart from the late night greasy super sugar frosted donuts our parents ate.

The doughnuts are very good. Id even say they are at a gourmet level (if such a thing exists), but it is difficult to pay $4 for a donut that costs $1 somewhere like a Safeway or a Dunkin Donuts.

It was just ok. My kids like Dunkin Donuts better.

Their donuts are soo good. My sister got the donut with the raspberry feeling and it doesnt feel like it was fake. You could taste the sourness of the filling and then the sagur on top of the donut, perfect combination. You can tell the filling was real. I got the lime poppy one and omg it was delicious and very filling. Theyre very thick in size. Im glad we tried this place

I was driving my friends daughters to the ferry. They said all lets stop at Johnnys. Im not much of a cake or donut eater however I was with them so thats where we went. Boy what a surprise! I had something called a cronut, which is a combo croissants and donuts. It was incredibly flaky, and a combination of crunchy and moist! With a chocolate Center. Ive rarely had any pastry that good!

Amazing donuts and fritters cool little shop in the Larkspur Landing circle. The over sized donuts are almost a meal! The Apple fritter Thang was one of the best fritters I have had. Staff was friendly, informative and very nice!

Expensive Doughnuts that are worth it. Flawless World Class Service in a comfortable outdoor environment. If you can belive it, the doughnuts are vegan. All are delicious.

If youre expecting regular donuts, this isnt the place for you. But if you wanna try something different, Johnny donuts has some delicious non-traditional donuts

Super friendly clean everything delicious

Classic frosting doughnuts are similar to traditional Taiwanese doughnuts, but the taste of this home is very solid, not too sweet, with a little cinnamon, classic chocolate is also delicious! I also recommend their black coffee, the taste of deep roasting will not be too bitter, and it is very good with donuts!
