This is a great place to be at. The owner is a really nice and really fun person to talk to and they have a lot of gaming tables set up. Also I believe they are the only place in town that sells card singles
The owner of this establishment simply is not there for business, rather more there for an excuse to make money off his hobby. This place is in a decent location as it is close the university, but very unwelcoming, the shop is dead most the time, I try to stop by but some of the locals here have stated that the owner has banned a lot of the community, I can see this as some of the conversations he has with other customers seem pushy on his views, you wont see many friendly face at the counters rather have to wait for the owner to finish his games of magic (unprofessional), reason being he pays anyone he hires with store credit no one sticks around for long, this is not a card shop for anyone looking for much outside of magic, as the owner strictly plays magic there is little to no backing for other games. It is quite depressing that the last two hobby shops in town are run by unfriendly people.
Best game store in town! Not flashy. It looks like a dump but the guy who runs it is as cool as it gets. Good prices and honest play. Friday Night Magic is alive and well at Mind Games.
Michael, the owner, is very welcoming. Hes a truly nice guy. His store is clean, cool (great air conditioning), and spacious enough for large groups of people to play. In addition to his current stock of ccgs, he can order board games. If you know what you want, just ask! Highly recommended.
Walked in casually while waiting for my laundry next door.. No hello, just “Do you speak English?” and what Magic the Gathering cards I threw away years ago...
Thanks Mike
Would be nice if they sold sports cards.. Jim, I know you go there.. if you see this, PLEASE REOPEN HIDDEN TREASURES!
I can be my self and In joy the card game I love with friend there is really fun tournaments, very open alot of space.
The owner there is very unprofessional. Owner cussed a lot while i was there as well as talked about weed and how he smokes because it is good for the mind. I do not think it is a good environment for people of the age that are going there which is typically high schoolers as well as my own kid who is in elementary school. I personally will never go back over there and i feel that the public should know about this place as being a bad place for kids to gather and play magic or any other card game.
If you wanted a better place to play cards, there is a nice shop in the mall you can miss it though they sell games so keep your eyes peeled.
This card shop is terrible. I would not recommend bringing your kids her or letting them come on their own. The owner is quite rude and he will pressure your kids into buying things or rude enough tell them to leave if they dont spend enough money here. Prices here are ridiculous to other card shops, I would recommend driving to el paso or ordering online if you need product. The owner rather play games then assist people and the shop occasionally smells like weed. Not a family place.
Guy was in-fact playing Magic when I showed..seemed more interested in the game he was currently in the middle of...which seeing how he is the owner ;doesnt surprise me that much (I mean it is a COG SHOP MORE THAN A COMIC BOOK STORE..Came in to sell some fairly inexpensive rates and like 1 mythic (@ Tireless Tracker, Windswept Heath, and a few more ..ended up getting almost 10$ less than my researched price (TCG, ).Was hurried along, lowballed, and treated like a annoyance.Pros areNice Cozy AtmosphereOwner is a regular MtG Player (modern when I came in)Lots of events. So I guess its ok, never played there so cant comment on anything of that
Great atmosphere, good location. Im really glad i found a place to game here in LC.
This is NOT a good card shop to go to at all. This is not a good environment for kids, the owner bad mouths every customer he has, his prices arent competitive and he nickel and dimes everyone every chance he gets. This is not a good shop for the Las Cruces area and the owner has done questionable actions... With that being said this is not a good card shop
Fun shop with all your card game needs. Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh drafts weekly and weekends.
This place is terrible, the shop owner is rude and unwelcoming. He seemed more interested in playing cards than helping customers. The shops not to lively seemed pretty dead. Im 100% positive you would not want your kids at this store smelled like Weed. Prices were overpriced, you are better off waiting for something online even with shipping cost. No variety at all in cards, seems like this only a place for magic, no singles for yu gi oh, limited outdated pokemon singles, no sign of force of will or vanguard. Id be scared to even see what this place would have for prize support on their events.
AMAZING. JUST KEEP SUPPLYING DRAGON BALL SUPER
Good store. Its 1 of 3 gaming stores in Las Cruces. Host plenty of events.
Very open place, able to be yourself, love the environment.
The owner is not friendly and we rather shop elsewhere
