My family loves...loves thrifty ice cream. So that is why this pains me to write this review. Great selection. PRICING IS HORRIBLE!!! THIS PLACE IS A RIP-OFF! My wife and I got a waffle cone and 1 scoop. $3.50. The waffle is small. And honestly, it looked like a kiddie portion. Then my kids ordered a scoop in a cup. Imagine the smallest cup in the world and throw some ice cream in it....thats what they got. Even when we sample flavors, the portion is more than that cup size. What a joke. The owner needs to reconfigure his prices or portions. I will never..never..ever go to this store again. At least at Short Line stores, where they also sell thrifty, their scoops are portioned better.

I was in the mood for ice cream and Thrifty Ice Cream happened to be near. Bought myself a double scoop of the chocolate malt crunch in a waffle cone. This Thrifty location has 36 flavors of ice cream as well.

My kids and I always have a pleasant experience here. We usually encounter Dillon/Dylan working, hes fast, courteous and very personable. The prices are average for but we come back for the customer service.

Good ice cream if you are able to actually catch them but Ive never encountered a store who so infrequently adhered to their own posted hours. Half the time I go there is a paper taped to the door with some lame excuse for them being closed during open hours. Very annoying.

So glad there is a thrifty ice cream near me! my mom always took my brother and me to get Thrifty ice cream when there were little in Rite Aid. Rite Aid is gone...but thank goodness Thrifty is still here! The prices to me aren’t crazy and we almost always get pints! Plus they always have great people working in there. Jordan is my favorite! He’s always so sweet and full of great conversation...he also let me know when my headlight on my car was out and offered some recommendations on what to do about it. Great kid! Who ever the owners are... Please keep it awesome! And hang on to that Jordan!! He’s awesome!!!

I go here once in a while they’re always nice and give good ice cream. They offer samples and other items to try. 5 stars

Great lil place to get some quick & easy ice cream. Tastes pretty yummy

My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter and I went there this evening. There was one young man working there and no other customers in the store. This young man helped us quickly after vigorously washing his hands before serving ice cream. He was very kind and we had a great conversation with a lot of laughs. The ice cream was delicious and very reasonably priced. Im from out of town but I would go there every time I wanted ice cream if I lived here, in fact I will go there every time I want ice cream when Im visiting. This place rocks!

Have I died and gone to heaven? When I was a young girl Thrifty ice cream was around and now it’s back! If you have not tried this ice cream treat yourself for sure. Even the shape of their scoop is pretty cool...after all these years it has not changed. The atmosphere at this location leaves a lot to be desired and desperately needs some music or something playing at minimum. It is worth the boring atmosphere to score this ice cream though.

Best ice cream in Vegas hands down. Employees actually care about ice cream and your experience which for a quick service type place is actually noteworthy. Went there often pre covid and it was clean but after they re opened after stay at home was up they really go above and beyond. Dude that works at night actually takes the time to change his gloves after each customer and washed his hands after dealing with money (even though wearing gloves) and he actually takes the time to get to know the customers while working expediently. Thats what I mean though it is the little things that get noticed. Just a heads up though it is a to go shop only though, not an ice cream date night or take the kids out place so dont go thinking you will eat ice cream there. TL:DR Ice cream good, customer servive great.

Grew up on Thriftts ice cream and was always available while I lived in East Los Angeles, CA, however, here in Las Vegas, NV it isnt easy to find. Although this place is wonderful, they have many of the flavours I love the prices are a bit high but that goes with the fact that its not as readily available as Los Angeles, CA.Thank you for your store!!!!

Thrifty ice cream has 36 Flavors. Plus you can add all kinds of extra to your ice cream or Shake whatever I chose to get. The staff is Super friendly, respectful and helpful. Thrifty ice cream is open seven days a week from 10AM to PM . I would recommend thrifty ice cream to anyone that is an ice lover.

Not serving milk shakes during the summer! Really? Smh. How are you going to be out of milk? Its not that hard to do your damn job. No apology or anything. Just got a blank look. Waste of a trip. Now Im sitting here watching my family eat their ice cream. Idiots.

It was great. Just like it was back home approx 35 years ago. Brought back great memories. They even use the same type of ice cream scooper and carry my all time favorite, rainbow sherbet

Friendly staff and the temperature in the store wasnt cold at all, which is always a plus. The ice cream is great and the only place that I know of that you can get chocolate malted crunch. I was going to get a milkshake, but decided against it. Ill have to get one next time since they seem so good! Great place to go any time.

The ice cream is great of course it is, it’s Thrifty’s. But the guy who served us made everyone feel incredibly uncomfortable. He was stand offish and cold, even to the point of being intimidating. I can’t imagine anybody coming back if dealing with this person was the first experience they had. I certainly will never come back here again. I like my ice cream without feeling like I’m about to get mugged by the cashier

Service can be hit or miss depending on the day and time you come in, but the ice cream and the nostalgia remains the same.

2nd day in a row and your doors are locked at 730!!! She saw our headlights! Locked the door and goes straight to the back! We waited a few min and watched other guests try as well. Its says 9pm on the door.

I went there with my family for a treat. It was my first time and it was not good. The employee was sitting outside on top of the trash can as we were walking in (there was a family inside with no other employees in sight).Once inside, there was.a mop bucket full of dirty brown water in the middle of the floor. I lost my appetite. The employee said it was there because there was no “wet floor” sign. I was tempted to call the health department. The only good thing the employee did wax wash his hands after coming inside.

Love love love their ice cream. Prices arent too steep either! My favorite is the old fashioned bubble gum, still has gum balls in the ice cream!!! YUM!!!

It used to be a good store, but ever since some staff members left this place is sinking, dont lose your time coming all the way, the lady behind the counter takes some many brakes that ive tryed coming at different hours & theres always an OPEN sign but shes always inside the bathroom

This Ice Cream is easily the best I have ever had. The Butter Pecan was amazing!!!!I just wish they had there own building so you could sit down and enjoy it more easily.

The waffle bowl was not available, and the guy making my friends icecream cookie didnt have gloves. He was a little upset that managment didnt bring gloves please bring gloves for employees next so they are not trying to improvise. on a side note the icecream is still yummy take your kids this summer and beat the heat its so yummy 💗

The best ice cream in town. They used to be inside Rite Aid and for years I used to shop at Rite just so I can get my favorite Pecan & Preline. When Rite Aid closed their stores, I was heartbroken because my favorite ice cream store is no more. Then, just last year I found out they are still around but they have their own stand alone store. Been coming here just like the old days. And very friendly staff!

Chocolate Malted Crunch is my favorite ice cream. We dont have Thrifty Ice cream where I live, so I get it whenever I go to Las Vegas.

Drive All the way to get their delicious banana split just to find out they were out of bananas. Thats like going to A Mexican restaurant to find out they ran out of tortillas. Not pleased.😕

I remember Thriftys ice cream from when I was young in California. This was a first stop for kids, while parents were shoping at the drug store at that time... I was thrilled to find this stand alone Thriftys ice cream parlor in Las Vegas (Durango Boulevard, just south of Spring Mountain Rd, in a small strip mall on the west side of the street). I frequent this location often, for nostalgic reasons and to enjoy the same great taste Ive always treasured throughout my life. Thanks Thrifty Ice Cream!!

Brings back childhood memories of 10 cent cones at the Diamond Heights Thrifty in San Francisco.

We used to have a ride aid in front of my house a while back ago and they would sell thrifty Ice cream I never thought I would have it again I love it so much I get it share it with my younger siblings and my child, honestly best ice cream there is.

We go in with the kids and asked for a milk shake. An old lady rudly says I dont have no milk we quietly walked out.
