To anyone in doubt read the following... I posted my boat for sale on Craigslist the end of 2017. While I had no trouble getting offers, of course, nothing was solid or it would fall through. Rich shipped my boat from Oakland, CA to Abu Dhabi. He under quoted me and hired third party loaders that jammed my de-mountable trimaran on its side in a 40ft container. On route the hull let down of its primitive restraints which crushed the hull causing a 3 foot long crack in the hull. After initial agreement to cover the cost of repair ($1500) he reneged. Despite the overwhelming 5 star reviews that his company has, I would proceed with caution. When a company is contesting a $1500 repair after admitting they were at fault, you end up wondering the integrity of the ownership.

I had my Trophy walkaround for sale on BoatTrader for about 2 months. Had a few calls and emails, a couple were obviously scammers. So I was skeptical when Rich contacted me about the boat and said he had a buyer in Australia. But I did some research, spoke with Rich a few times, and decided he was legit. The deal went pretty smoothly, as good as most private transactions. Rich wired the money to our bank several days before we supplied the signed title and the boat was picked up. From the selection of the vessel to her final delivery OceanTrek Marine particular the MD himself Rich and also his team member Sarah who were always accessible at all times. It was a good decision we made cause Rich was always on top of any matters pertaining to the boat we wanted. Nightmare. Shipped my boat to Hong Kong but they did not drain all the water out of the engine block. Despite engine being surveyed and running fine in Miami water made its way into the engine during shipping.Before paying Rich he said they would take all the water and other fluids out of the engine and boat. After my payment had cleared he said ...well we take out most fluids. The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club prepared a report which I can provide to any interested parties. Richs only response ...well you will have to prove it what a shame. He is a scammer if he can get away with it. So far he has because I am in Hong Kong but will have to file suit in Florida.

Was going to RO-RO my 2006 EBAY purchase Bayliner 2359 which is 8ft 5inches wide to Tonga..Rich suggested side on into a tall 40ft container, Frieght was $10,000 cheaper!!, He picked up the boat from owner, reconditioned. the trailer, dismantled the pilot house, rolled it and slipped it in the container and Packed it really well. Also loaded heaps of extras I sent to the container. Organised everything by email and phone from Tonga and it arrived OK...there were plenty of little scuff marks, a couple of smashed scuppers and one bit of stress cracking of gellcoat, but it is fine. It took 6 days for a few of us to refit everything, clean, polish and launch...HAPPY!..Rich delivered...He knows his stuff!...THANKS...
