Great Mexican food with great service and a broad drink menu. The food is fair priced fit the quality abs the drinks are amazing. Very clean and nice inside and out on the patio.
I love the food at El Real! The service is always pleasant and friendly. I have been getting take outs from here lately and the food is just as fresh and hot as it is if I’m seated inside. I suggest you call ahead to place an order, they seem to get pretty busy towards the end of the week. This is my favorite restaurant so far. I usually get the special rice with cheese dip on the side.
Always enjoy the food and the servers. They are top notch. This time again we enjoyed it, BUT I ordered a mojito wuth vodka instead of rum (which I always do) and it tasted and felt as if there was no alcohol i it at all, and today Ive got runny bowels. We will go again, but if the same results - then that will end our relationship.
Just decent.... nothing to brag about. Ive dined in a few times now out of convenience of the proximity to home. Food isnt the most favorable and the drinks are a hit or miss. The wings seem to be the best thing on the menu and how many ppl ate going to a Mexican restaurant for wings lol

The food is always good. The drinks are always cold and its a great place to stop for a tasty bite.The server was very attentive. She did an awesome job. The food came out quickly.The veggie fajitas, although were tasty had way too much oil mixed in. Please use less if possible.The margarita was potent and the kind birthday dessert was appreciated.
One can never count on the quality and taste of their food OR drinks. We went Saturday night, the food...two different menu items was tasteless the Texas frozen margarita tasted like rubbing alcohol smells. Sad because the time before the food and drinks were great.
We have eaten here for many years and it keeps going down. If you order online it’s wrong or if you call it’s wrong. They fight you on it and make it your fault for them getting it wrong. The people that were great and regulars quit due to the manager being rude. We used to love it there and eat multiple times a week. Now it’s poor service and rude attitudes for their mistakes. It’s plain and mediocre.
Ive patroned this restaurant for many years and for the most part, have had nothing but great service. However, today was the exception. My cousin and I went today around 1, and honestly, Im not sure Ill be returning. We sat in the bar area and despite walking by us several times, the young bartender/waiter ( Louis, I think) did not acknowledge us. I tried to get his attention to ask for water. He was very abrupt and dismissive, saying that he couldnt do it right now, so we asked if he could get us someone who could. It seemed as if they were short staffed and I understand that, but the fact that he didnt even acknowledge us and then seemed to have an attitude when we finally got his attention, is totally unacceptable. We left and went to Monterrey.

Horrible experience, chips were mixed with old ones, margaritas tested terrible, molcajete very poor, trestles.Years ago we enjoyed going that place, but now, I don’t want to eat at that ugly restaurant.

Today was the second time eating here. We were seated immediately as we walked in the door. They have a variety of foods to choose from. I got their fajita taco salad. It had steak, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, sour cream, pepper and onions. I topped it with queso cheese. Totally yummy. The guacamole was a little more spicy than I was used to but the queso helped to cool it down.My husband had their alhambra. He was surprised at the amount of food came with it. Lets put it this way, he has leftovers.They made sure our cups were always full and the waitress was very helpful. I do recommend going here if you want yummy Mexican food. For 3 people we paid roughly $50 but it was well worth it.

First time there. Fast, friendly service. We did arrive before the typical dinner rush. Our waitress was attentive and our entrees arrived in a timely manner. I had the enchilada dinner with beef, chicken and cheese. The food was tasty and looked fresh and the dinning area looked clean. We plan on heading back again soon to try some of the other menu items.
We went for Taco Tuesday this week and were highly disappointed. The tacos had 2 tablespoons of meat in them, and I may be being generous. The refried beans were not edible and they charged me $2.75 for a club soda that was mainly ice, and another $2.75 for a refill. My husband was drinking beer, so its not like they werent making money. Our server was very attentive, to another table that were obviously his friends. We couldnt get his attention to get our check until I stood up and started putting my coat on. We went in prepared to be generous with our tip since we knew the meal wouldnt be expensive - the food and our service canceled that out.
Service was outstanding!!! Very comfortable place with a great atmosphere. The food came out quickly and was FABULOUS!! Most definitely my new go to Mexican restaurant. Reasonably priced CLEAN and lots of options. Every employee I encountered was very pleasant. I will be back!!!!

The food is outstanding, the service wasnt bad and the speed in which we received our dinner was super fast. The only thing I really didnt like was how they charge for extra dressing that is supposed to go on top of the cantina bowls. We were told that it would cost another dollar 25 to add sauce thats already on it but we just needed a little more. Come on guys it doesnt cost that much to provide a little extra sauce.

This is my go to spot for Mexican food. They have a lot of speciality chef creations. Lunch menu is well under $10 a meal. $8.95 lunch specials with drink included. Their flan is excellent and served like a slice of pie. Very yummy! And dont miss out of their chicken soup.

Love the food hear and dont think Ive had a bad experience. I absolutely love their Three Way Burrito. The only thing I dont like is the cheese chunks they put in their fresh guac, but we just ask that they leave it out, so its not a problem at all.

Many menu options. Some Tex Mex and a few items youll find closer to the border.
They don’t have “aguas frescas” (natural fruit juices) that most if not all authentic Mexican restaurants have. Food is mediocre and prices don’t seem to match the quality and taste. The only reason I’m not giving this place a 1 star is because the day we went a young gentleman attended us well.

Restaurant was empty but still took more than 5 min to get seated. Server didn’t take any notes on our main order but said she could “memorize” it. She didn’t ask us for drinks but went straight to the order. Most of all we found a HAIR IN THE SALSA!!!! Highly recommend not going to this place for future reference.

Our service was awful...I ordered burrito supreme that looked like it sat all day..the chicken was so tuff I couldnt chew it...had to add salsa, cheese dip, to make it taste good...our food was brought out separate so my husband had to start without me. Never once did we get checked on once I got my food..had to ask the table cleaner to get our cheese dip heated up...never got any water...WE NEED TO FIND NEW PLACE...very unsatisfied...wont be back...😡😡

I just came back from El Real an hour ago (12/12). As the waitress was bringing our drinks she spilled a whole glass water on the table, in front of me. Most of the tall glass water landed on my lap and on my leather jacket.This was an honest mistake but a big one.Other employees saw this happen. A man who looked like he was functioning as a manager helped her get the water off of table.She was apologetic and I appreciate that, however...That is where it ended.I did not push the issue at all. But I expected the restaurant to do a lot more for any customer who (they) have just dumped a full large glass of water on. They could have given us a new booth rather than just quickly wiping most of the water off the table. Most restaurants would have offered us a FREE meal after a spectacle like that.Management should have been rite there to take the heat for that.The waitress made a mistake but management chose not to do the right thing.Lets hope that this does not result in a fired waitress and angry management.Follow up - The manager was informed of my comments and called me to apologize and offer me a free dinner.I appreciate that and Ill consider the dinner.

Food is really good, service is questionable at times. 30 minutes to get my drinks and cheese dip never came out. Asked the waitress and she turned into the rudest and most obnoxious person. Demanded that the owner take our order.....yes 30 minutes and we hadnt yet ordered. Left her a 20 dollar tip anyways to maybe help her out as she may have been having a rough day. Went back in today and she had even a bigger attitude. Owners and other waitresses were great but never again will I step into this place so long as she is working there.

This place never disappoints. Margaritas are good. Food is fast and excellent everytime. My in-laws live about a mile away from here so we go there often and Ive never had a complaint. Even when theyre super busy, food is fast and accurate. Who ever runs this place deserves a raise.

Definitely disappointing. I have friends who love this place, so I was certainly disappointed today with my lunch visit. Salsa was pretty good, but service was slow and inattentive and it was not that busy. Ordered cheese dip with my lunch that never came. By the time I could get servers attention, it wasnt worth it to get it. Most importantly, the food was really below average. Taco was OK, but my chicken burrito was very dry. I almost always like similar Mexican restaurants, but it was not a great experience. I will likely give it another shot, as I have tons of friends who love it. May have just been an off day
Not bad but not special. Attentive waitress and manager made sure of that also. When there are multiple boxes to take home a bag should be offered. Good thing I happened to have a Kroger bag.The bathroom was clean. Not a lot of decoration inside so atmosphere wasnt fancy. Wait time for food was just a bit longer than Im used to at a Mexican restaurant.
They charge to refill soda. Manager is rude. Staff is rude. Right up the street from us and we used to go once a week at least. We have stopped going completely. This is a hard pass unless you want to wait for long periods for your food or for a server to check to see if you need anything and then get upset you actually wanted more chips or a refill.

Listed in the Russell ridge Kroger shopping area. The parking lot always is heavy with traffic throughout the day. The food is okay sometimes too salty but there portions are decent and the restaurant has a distinctive cuisine. The restaurant has outdoor patio seating that many customers enjoy in GAs climate. And El Real also supports local schools.
By far the best Mexican Restaraunt weve been to around the area! Food is literally heaven (true Mexican dishes) & the customer service is exceptional. Erika & Rosie were so kind & welcoming. Will definitely be going back !
Ask to not have tomatoes with my order but came anyways. Rice little dry but added cheese. Food was good, service ok. Whoever taking order from customer needs to make sure they tell the cooks exactly what is orderered ( I hate diced tomatoes on my food.)
The staff is very polite here in the management make sure that youre taken care of. They make guacamole in house and the food is spectacular! Good beer selection as well

SKIP THIS RESTAURANTThe food had no taste and it was nothing like the menu. The Chips tasted stale and you have to buy as an extra item the corn or Flour tortillas. What Mexican Restaurant will do that is just part of the dish. You have to wait after you are half way through the meal to get four semi cold tortillas. You better off going to Taco Bell or Chipotle. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean which made my experience a little bit less painful.
We had a party of four on a very busy Friday night. I thought it would take forever. Boy was I wrong. Food came out fast and the service was excellent. Keep up the good work!

Worst experience ever!!! I understand that times are different and they have been closed for a little while and are working with some new staff members, but what I went through couldn’t be dismissed as such, at least not in my opinion. I went there to order because I couldn’t get a “take out only” restaurant to answer there phone. Should have taken that as a red flag and went to some place nicer like Taco Bell in a third world country. Placed my order at 5:15 it was ready at 6:30 took it home and it was wrong to the extent that only 1 out of the 4 dinner orders (dinner order = 1 entree) was correct not to mention NO salsa or chips! So I go back because once again nobodies answering the phone. Explain what was missing from each entree and that I had no chips or salsa, they then tried to tell me that I needed to go to the back of the line and REORDER!!!! I once again explained that I’ve already ordered and payed you over $100 and I am not going to the back of the line to wait 45 to order all over again! They said they understood and would see what they could do so another hour and a half goes by I inquire as to how much longer it’s going to be and they say oh I think it is ready let me go check. 20 mins later they come back with “my food” and explaining to me that I’ll have to pay for all these items they forgot Individually, to which I said let me see your manager. After waiting another 15 min with no manager in site I left with “my food” only to get home to see that they got it wrong yet again! I mean it’s cinco de Mayo for gods sake and you can’t even remember to put corn tortillas in with the order of Carnitas or something as simple as chips and salsa?!?!? This really really sucks because they had the best cameras in town but I will never spend one thin red cent there again. You try to charge me again for your screw up without so much as an apology, I spent 4 hours there nearly and made two trips only to NEVER have the order completed or correct!!!!!
Just went for drinks with friends. The drinks were well mixed. They kept the chips and salsa coming. Service was prompt and polite. Cant really speak to the food, but I would certainly return to have a meal based on this experience.
Take out order: At first, I’m told 30-40 mins wait, no problem. 1h40m later, my order comes out wrong.This is the second time and last.
I used to eat here all the time. Ordered fajitas with extra salsa, no salsa and no tortillas were in the bag. Tried to call but no answer after 30 minutes. The next morning the whole family was sick. Food must have been spoiled. Never will I return.
Delicious food. Chorizo tacos were amazing. Good drink menu and very good prices. Have been many times and will continue to go. Nice outdoor seating area and cozy atmosphere inside.
Service wasnt too great that day. The waitress seemed new. Water wasnt refilled and tortillas never came. I was nice enough not to complain. Left a small tip only because I felt the waitress was new and didnt necessarily do a bad job...at least not purposely it seemed.

Ive never ever given a restaurant a 1 star rating but today definitely calls for it. I am currently exclusively breastfeeding my 2 month old baby. She is extremely lactose intolerant. Im talking the screaming in pain, cant eat, cant sleep, kind of agonizing pain. I ordered my main meal (the fiesta salad) with no cheese and no sour cream while at the same time also ordered an appetizer of guacamole. First of all, Ive been eating guacamole all over the world and NEVER ONCE has there ever been tiny cubes of cheese mixed in it. Maybe a few shreds on top as a garnish but never throughout. Secondly, if Im ordering my meal with no dairy products, do you not think its reasonable for the waitress to let me know that they hide tiny cubes of cheese in their guacamole. And third, if I explain to two people in the wait staff and the manager how incredibly upset I am and how terrible it it going to be for my daughter, and literally still have to pay for it. I seriously have a huge problem with this. Thank you El Real for causing pain and suffering on my tiny two month old baby for the next 48 hours and never the less, still making me pay for it. Thank. You. Very. Much.

I stopped in for lunch, I was greeted in a friendly way,and was seated quickly. I ordered 3 beef tacos, the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh .The waiter did a nice job. Reasonable prices.
The staff was friendly & welcoming. They serve two volumes of salsa with the chips. Both were delicious! The prices were good, & the food tasted amazing! We had the Fajitas for two and even had leftovers! This will defiantly be our choice for Mexican food in the future!
