At the time it was going to close, there were still a lots of people.... Its a big store...it would have offered better services if there were some more employees to support clients

Stopped in few nights ago to buy a speaker, David approached me and was very attentive of my needs. He never tried to upsell me anything, he got me exactly where I needed to be.Fast forward few days later I placed an online order (that I would have a friend pick up) that was badly needed quickly but the online system didn’t have any sense of urgency. I called the store I got David. We talked briefly, I hung up and called another number to cancel my order. I called David and he helped get in order the items I needed and had them ready for pick up in minutes.He saved me time and energy when I didn’t have much of it to spare

Customer service is lacking big time. They are way too busy for the amount of staff onboard. Staff just ignore people needing help with guitars, etc while they are looking on their phones or chatting with other associates. Waited an hour for help with something and still didnt get issue resolved cause manager wasnt there. Alpharetta is a better store...BTW, they wont budge on used gear, which is odd in my opinion...

Typically, customer service isnt great. There are alot more places to buy great used or new equipment. Tried a used amplifier I was looking into buying, but the volume pot was damaged and crackling. Ugh. Going to look elsewhere now.

They helped me special order a looper. Had to wait a while but it was delivered on time and in perfect condition.

I took my kids here to buy them a drum set this afternoon, and we received horrible customer service. They have a couple of electric drum sets in the back and my kids were trying them out. A worker by the name of John asked them, rudely, to turn it down and to stop playing. No, they were not loud at all. Why would you set them up for people to play if you won’t let them play??? Don’t take your kids here if you want to experience the same customer service.

Great staff. They have some of the latest in guitar tech displayed where you can plug in & try it out.

Fast friendly and efficient. They get pretty slammed sometimes so if ur in a time crunch just come back later, but even when they are busy they are very helpful and nice.

Only go if you need something the day of, if not, plenty of other choices. Every time I go there is always an issue, plus the upselling is always nuts.

Prices and supplies are starting to rebound. More products are arriving and prices are starting to come back down.

They have a really good selection, some nice drums at a great price. The only thing that was frustrating about going in there was, a ton of stuff is not priced. We looked at several things we were interested but they did not have a price. No one wants to run down an associate for them to price 5 differ things and in different departments. So with that being said, overall ot was a good experience for us but they did not make a sale from us.

If you like music 🎶 its a joy to walk into Guitar Center the atmosphere is fun and the staff very helpful. Plus you can hear others pick up instruments and just start jamming out. Love this place!!

I bought a microphone and asked for any recommended accessories. They gave me something totally not compatible. When I went back they didnt take it back because I didnt pay for the insurance. It was the same day and they were in the wrong. So I didnt like my experience.

Liked the social distancing, great instruments, very clean place and the staff was very helpful. Very entertaining place, love it! They even teach you how to play the instruments there.

Customer service always on point. All of my sons are musicians and the guitar center offers reasonable, quality equipment always. My son needed a distortion pedal for his guitar and we found one on sale for $89 plus tax. After purchasing guitar strings as well as other accessories, I spent a total of around $140.

May I say that Shawn was very kind to me. Even though life would say. That a one hand man cant play the guitar. Shawn was nice enough to NOT discourage me. He restrung my acoustic guitar and tuned it ~

If youre coming in to buy something then this place isnt bad. But if you want to sell/trade something this is NOT the place to go. Find a local store that will give you a better deal. Some staff here is helpful and not trying to make a commission off of every piece of meat that walks through the door, while others will stop caring the second they know youre not buying anything.

Amazing place and special props to Dave for always being attentive and helping our group! He went through so many recommendations and helped us pick out the best deal for what we were looking for. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Most people in this store are very friendly and knowledgeable . Especially the store manager PJ. However, there is a sales associate named Dave who is extremely arrogant and rude. I have had several bad experiences with him. I prefer to drive 40 mins to other guitar center than to deal with Dave. Other than that this is an excellent store with wide range of options.

I like the company, but website indicated that they had multiple wireless headphones. However, I only saw wired headphones. When I asked the sales clerk who was ringing up another customers order they were kind and apologetically told me they didnt have any in the store. I wish the website was better. They had tons of nice guitars, banjoes, keyboards, etc. Their wired headphone selection seemed small. Because of limited wired headphones and website, I gave only 4 stars.

Experience was not good at all,it took 4 salesmen to take care of me and they never took care of the situation I came to purchase a bass guitarist been buying from Guitar Center over 15 years and was treated like this the customer service and salesmen are ridulously un professional. I can all the way from South Carolina. I will not be returning here again.. 55 min wait time with no service

Went to get starter lessons for my daughter and Ryan, the instructor, spent time discussing options and starter guitars with her. He even showed her some basic notes. Really great staff, even on a busy Christmas Eve!

Couldnt get any help looking at guitars. I planned my day around this trip so it was a bummer to be ignored completely. Had to stand in line at checkout just to ask if they had a guitar in stock. Website said in stock but of course it isnt. Tried to upsell me something completely different. After reading their reviews I expected this visit to go better and I would leave with one of the three guitars I had picked out. Hard to buy something you cant talk to someone about and get a feel for tho. Will turn to Amazon with free shipping and returns. Good luck with your struggling business, I wont be back.

Decent selection of instruments. The music instruction/learning books selection is pretty small and there wasnt enough employees working on the day I was there.

Not a bad place to spend a little time and perhaps some hard earned cash. The atmosphere was very cordial. The staff was wonderful. Only gripe was the restroom. Just a bit more attention to it would be great. It did not match the organization, welcoming feeling and overall cleanliness of the rest of the store. I traveled over an hour to visit and make a purchase from this particular Guitar Center and really needed the quick pit stop as I did drink coffee on the trip over. So, yes, the store restroom was a must before leaving the store. Overall, I would definitely return to the store but would like to see a bit more attention given to the restroom.

I went to purchase a speaker system. The rep said they had in stock the one I wanted, with a price tag of $299. After I showed him that it was listed for $249 on their website, he said they were aware and they simply hadnt changed the price tag, but was still charging me $299. He took a second look at the computer screen and said he had made an error and the item was out of stock. Very suspicious and unfortunate.

Im disabled to where I cant stand for long periods of time.Because of the health safety we have to stand in line.I had a sales individual assist me while I sat at the piano and played.Truly considerate. Great service and pleasant too

Super bad experience, honestly my expectations were more but the service was really bad. I did not have a good experience at the store, and I would rather go to another store before being humiliated again by the repair service guy. 1 star rate is me being kind. Not all staff was friendly. I asked the repair guy if he could fix my broken string, and he denied saying we don’t do that, we always change all the strings when less than a month ago, someone from the store literally helped me out by changing this one string. He denied helping me out, and he started saying how pretty much allMy stings needed to be changed when i knew that wasn’t true. Then he went off to say that my guitar needed a bunch of other stuff pretty much just to make me leave my guitar and end up paying a fortune to get it back. I told him I would ask the guy who helped me out last time, since I had spotted him when I came into the store. When I approached the guy he gave me the same attitude saying, sorry i can’t do it because I’m the only sales man working, when literally there was no one in the store and it was 6:51. The store was about to close and it was pretty much empty. At this point I decided to just buy the string and do it myself knowing that they didn’t want to help me at all. Really poor service and extremely unfriendly. Again I would not recommend, I am very disappointed.

At first I had a good experience with this store when I visited on Sunday. I do not remember any names but one guy (skinny, white guy with small beard) helped me with my first purchase with a guitar. We were very happy with that experience and spent a good amount of time there making sure I bought the right guitar. Then we returned to this store today and it was a completely different staff and attitude. I was 1 of a 3 person party in which 2 of the 3 were looking to buy a guitar tonight since I had already bought one two nights ago. We looked online at the guitars we wanted and immediately went to the Acoustic Corral to find them but could not find either. One guy helped find one guitar and went to the back to find it carrying back the box with it (I suppose this was Dwayne because thats what the receipt said - tall, white guy with glasses). He then passed it to David (which I assume in which is what his name tag said - hefty, bald black guy) which was a little short with us but it could be his personality. He let us open the box and go to the Corral to play it before buying. Upon inspection, we noticed a dent and went to bring it up to him. He brushes it off and says yeah, I noticed that when I opened the box. I could only assume he hoped we bought it without noticing it and never offered to get a new one until we brought up we would not accept only a 5% discount for this new out-of-box dent and wanted a new one. He sent Dwayne to get it and Dwayne proceeded with the purchase and helped us with a trade-in. While waiting for the other person in my party to receive the guitar from the back, he looks around near the Vault to which one employee states Apparently people cant read to which he said he was not going to open the door as he read it was for Employees Only, but the guy said yeah, were just trying to keep normal people out. If normal people mean non-guitar players or new guitar players, there goes 2/3 of the people in my party. My friend then decided he would buy the guitar he wanted at a different store. The only reason we bought the one guitar was because we came specifically to that store to get that specific guitar that was in stock. The staff made us feel like it was criminal to ask a question and I felt like I didnt need to bother them for much even though we had some problems with finding merchandise and the dent with one.

Waited in line an enormous amount of time, only to find outthe item I was to purchase was price labeled incorrect. Bought a different item, only to be missing items in the box. Staff was nice, but extremely slow. Just odd cashiers needed help, but they had someone at the door to confirm your receipt was what you had paid for.

My daughter loves coming here and dreaming. We usually make our rounds through the different instrument rooms before making our purchases.

Staff is generally very helpful whether youre purchasing or just asking random questions. Great selection if youre looking for a Gibson or Fender, but a little lacking if you like PRS or ESP. They can order most of what you might be looking for, but for people who play sometimes you have to hear it to make that decision to buy. Overall typical big box store with better than average service.

Disappointed to find no Premium electric room and not a single Custom Shop guitar from any company. Suppose its a good spot for students. No employee said a word to me and they might consider investing in a broom. Didnt take long to see I was in the wrong place.

First time ever visiting a Guitar Center. EXCELLENT variety of guitars, guitar accessories, drums, and drum accessories. I like that they have a closed off room to try out guitars so youre not disturbing the rest of the store. Store associates were very helpful. Great store layout. Will definitely make the 1+ hr drive back!

If youre looking for a guitar and/or information on finding the right one for your personal taste and budget, come to this specific Guitar Center. Once youre there youre gonna want someone to guide you through the purchasing process so you end up at home playing the best guitar available for the money youre spending. Thats when you ask for Lou. He stopped me from making a mistake-purchase, and brought me over a guitar I hadnt notived there before. He gave me great advice and clearly wanted me to be happy. The guitar he brought over was $150 less than what I was about to buy, but way nicer then what I expected to be able to afford. I will be back for my bigger purchases because of him. Thanks Lou!

Waited for over 45mins trying to receive help as I am trying to start learning the guitar. Never got any help or advice. Very poor customer service.

*May 28, 2020 COVID heads up*Google does not seem to specify but they are open during the pandemic however face masks are required to enterNice place to stop buy and pickup some quick gear. Kind of disappointed in their small selection of certain things such as cables. I could only find about 3 different brands of cables and they were mainly unknown brands. I was looking for Ernie Ball cables and surprisingly they didnt have any. Still a nice place though despite that small issue.

When I first walked in the doors, I could smell the fresh birch and cherrywood used to make the drums with. Thats when I knew I was home. Good used equipment and quality prices. Iam coming back for the crate amplifier that is $99. Cant wait for the sound of grunge as I play into the night and finish off with a classic Maiden song.

Im building a studio and this place has everything I need. Sweetwater has a better online selection in my opinion, but you cant go wrong with the physical atmosphere GC provides. Personal help is nice and most employees love what they do. Ill take pics next time I go

Always a fun place to visit for a guitarist. The floor plan works better, now that theyve incorporated the music lesson classrooms at the front of the store. All of the goodies are now on shelves throughout the store which allows closer inspection. This is so much better than having merchandise behind counters or inside of display cases. Much more fun...

I went to GC today to find a drum throne know one asked us if we needed help there was two guys behind the drum counter they just kept talking I didnt see the drum thrones so I left I was there a few days ago about a mounting ring the guy was not intrested in helping me I have never had to put one on before so I went to music go round down the street the guy there was super happy to help know wonder you hear rumors of GC going out of business I think GC employees need to take lessons from music go round on customer service

The staff there was absolutely incredible, its really awesome that everyone there is so warm and friendly and they really do there best to inform you. So you buy what youll enjoy the most
