My mom recently bought furniture from this company. They had discussed a mattress set also and my mother repeatedly asked if that was the total price. They said yes. Once they delivered they didn’t deliver all the pieces and had to go back. Tried to double charge for the delivery fee. Didn’t include a mattress set even though it had been discussed and they claimed it was not. Who buys a bed without a mattress? Do not use this company.Edit to respond to the owner. This had already been brought up by my mother in Lawton with receipt. You have also been reported to the consumer credit bureau as its illegal in Oklahoma to charge a surcharge for debit transactions as of 11/1/2019.

Amazing quality. The best way to describe this HUGE FURNITURE STORE is laid back but friendly knowledgeable staff standing by to help when you need it. I didnt feel stocked or annoyed by tons of sales people when I just wanted to look. That was a first. I love the fact you can bargain on discontinued models and stuff slightly damaged. I found some AMAZING DEALS! They even have Layaway and will totally work with. Unheard of in todays age. Definitely will be back for a Master Bedroom this Fall.

DO NOT SHOP AT WOLVERTON FURNITURE!!! They will robbed you blind. They robbed me of $3k and some change. I just wished I would of taken the time to read prior reviews. I’m currently working with Fort Sill to get this business black listed to avoid this happening to anyone else. I came from overseas trying to furnish my new place and thought supporting a local business would be simple but the joke was on me. Beware of Ronn Wolverton!!! He is part owner and does the deliveries. He would sweet talk you and guarantee you that he can order you anything you want if it is not present in the store. We exchanged numbers for him to keep me updated with my order. Once I paid for it in full the games began with make believe delivery days. The first delivery day they canceled said their distributor in Fort Worth did not deliver to Lawton because they didn’t have a 100% shipment. That call was made by Mrs. Wolverton, Ronn’s mom. The second delivery schedule was canceled because they said their employee walked out on them so they were short handed for deliveries. The third time, Mrs. Wolverton calls again to state that my delivery was on its way. She calls 30minutes later to say she accidentally pulled my ticket and my order was not on the truck but they had couple deliveries before me and they will try to squeeze me in if not tomorrow. Ronn then messaged me to tell me he is on the way to Duncan. So you don’t fulfill your local orders first? The next day was when the games and lies became more apparent giving me hit times followed by excuses for no shows one after the other countless times. Then when I called to be reimbursed they told me they don’t do refunds I just got to wait on a delivery. I still do not have my furniture til this day. Buster the old man has the worst customer service. He yells at you, cut you off while you’re talking and his famous line is I just work here and answer the phones. He also likes to lie for Mrs. Wolverton and Mrs. Kay. Every time you ask for them his line is, “oh she just got in her car and drove off I don’t know when she’s coming back” said those same exact words to me two days in a row. Then they started dodging my calls.?This family is not honest and fraudulent. I’m currently in the process of starting a civil suit at the Lawton courthouse. With all these bad reviews, I’m thinking to ask my lawyer to start a petition for a class act law suit as well. This family doesn’t deserve to be open for business. Praying on people hard earned money.

They had great deals and I paid for my new 10 inch gel mattress about 3 weeks ago. Was told a date when my mattress would arrive so I gave mine away to a needy family member. Picked up the mattress and immediately noticed it was only an 8 inch foam pad. I told them it was the wrong one and they said it was what I ordered. After a calm argument I was so frustrated I just took it home. I then began to contact the store and finally reached the manager who said he remembered me and what I ordered and he promised to correct the situation. Here I sit a week later with an 8 inch foam pad and no replacement mattress...

Out of fairness I have edited my previous review and frustrations.Ronnie and Evelyn came through and made it right. Sometimes you just have to be patient. Family run buisness is hard. Keep supporting local and keep the money in Lawton..

I purchased a dresser from the store over 5months ago and have yet to hear a response about when I will get my delivery. I havent received any calls about any updates on my delivery. I am highly disappointed and just want my dresser or my money back.

Omg, they need negative stars. This is the absolute worst store I have ever been in. Waited over a year for furniture and still gave us the wrong bed. Refuses to give the correct bed and had the nerve to yell at me, calling me a liar and said its my fault they screwed up. They also owe us $500.00 they will not give us. Ron said they custom ordered the bed they gave us, yet there is an exact duplicate on the floor.If you buy something in stock, maybe its ok, but never have anything ordered.How are they they still in business?

Would give 0 stars if I could. Staff was rude, unprofessional and incompetent. Prices way too high for a liquidation sale. They prey on soldiers and are desperate for a sale. When we decided to look at other stores they frantically showed us catalogs of couches we did not like in an attempt to make a sale, disregarding our opinions. Their lack of self awareness of their actions was a huge turn off. Avoid this place at all costs! Scam!!!

I would say 0 stars but that isn’t an option. Do not buy from this retailer! My husband orders and paid for a bunk bed for our son over three weeks ago. The first day they were scheduled to deliver it we never heard from them, he called and they stated they didn’t even receive the bed which is why they didn’t show up. Fast forward to today.... they are scheduled to deliver today at 11, I don’t know why I am surprised they didn’t show up. When my husband called they stated they still do not have our furniture? Not even a courtesy call that they weren’t coming for the second time now. This is a terribly ran business, and their lack of efficiency and regards for their customers time is sad. Will NEVER purchase from them again!!!

Goodish prices, nice furniture. Suck at delivering said furniture. Had about four different talks with these people and its got me no where. Was told two different days that my stuff was going to be delivered and they didnt. Went in person got told another day that they would drop them off and that they had them for 3 days. Also still waiting for my furniture

Shopping for furniture is tiring for sure, at least it is for me. We visited several places over the weekend. This one stood out for me a little more then others in that the person helping us had some really good advice and tips about what to do Before shopping, for which l am really grateful. It really saved us time and aggravation!

We always enjoy going in Wolvertons, they always make you feel at home. The prices are always great, thats why we furnished our home with them!They have a huge choice to pick from, and if they dont have what you want they can get it! Great delivery every time! So drop by and enjoy your visit!

It baffles me how you can do business with a company for so many years spending as much money as I have just to get the run around for a month, to add insult to injury how can a business allow “THE HELP” to speak to a regular spending customer the way I was spoke to today over the phone and not only that she is going to threaten me and come out with a lie “I’m hollering” at her mind you now the phone is recording on my end to confirm the lies. This business doesn’t communicate at all and just gives you the run around about replacing your damaged goods that came this way from them and not even delivering everything you’ve paid for at that, it’s funny how I’m just getting disrespected as a paying customer over something that isn’t my fault but this company want to make it seem like it’s all on me. I won’t spend another dime in this place and crazy you have to go legal because “The Help” wants to be stupid with the wrong one for the last time. I’m appalled for a company to have been in business for 116 years and still need to learn and teach “The help” the definition of “Customer Satisfaction and Professionalism”, I’ve heard so many horrible stories of this place over the years but never experienced anything first hand but let me tell you those stories are truly honest and I’ve seen this over the last month and a half plus today.P.S. Its funny how the communication starts after leaving my review, Shipping damages indeed happen during shipment however it doesnt take a month and a half to have it not be replaced still, also I would like what I paid for fixed, why give a refund when you can just reorder what I paid for and replace the damaged furniture like I was told, Its not my first rodeo buying furniture and I know at times it indeed comes in damaged from shipment but not an excuse for the lack of communication and poor customer service Ive received.

WHEN I WENT TO BUY MY FURNITURE, THERE WAS AN ELDERLY GENTLEMEN WARNING ME NOT TO BUY ANYTHING. THEY HAD AND WERE REPAIRING THE LEG OF HIS DINING ROOM CHAIR FOR OVER SIX MONTHS. BUT, I DIDNT HEED THE WARNING!!!! IT HAS BEEN TWO MONTHS TRYING TO GET MY FURNITURE REPLACED. My husband and I purchased a king bed set earlier this year, and our bed set was well worth the price ! Went in only to look and walked out a satisfied costumer . More so because of the fact that they made it there priority to make our needs/wants on a bed set a priority . VERY friendly people, and we got a warm welcome . Would definitely recommend this place . Every time I’ve had a concern or just to check on balance they were very helpful, and stayed that way throughout the whole process until paid off . Will definitely be purchasing from Wolverine again .

Im greatly satisfied. There where some Lion king throne chairs that Ive been looking for over 8 months and, Mrs Wolverton knew what I was looking for. Nobody in town had any clue what I was talking about. Not only where they able to get what I want. they also give a better deal so, I end up going with the other one. Im looking forward to doing more bussiness with this company in the future.

Avoid unless you like high pressure sales people. They failed at selling used cars in the junk lots and went to furniture. When we first arrived we looked at Wolverton to see what was left from the “going out of business” sale just to see a disorganized mess and broken furniture in the open. By the way: they’re always going out of business. As we say in the military, “it’s a technique.” Try any of the other stores in Lawton, they’ll close eventually. Update and counter statement to their crapy response: 120 years? What a joke. And note: they can’t deny the used car salesman pressure. Ducks calls and leave you on hold when you try to report a problem with your furniture or return it due to it breaking less than a month after you purchase it. Very bad craftsmanship. Tries to upcharge you in the bill after you reach a set price in the store.

Do yourself a favor and dont buy anything from this store.I paid for a queen Mattresses and they delivered full and I can understand a mistake can happen but when I told them, the guy he got mad at me and start having attitude for no reason. I felt like they scammed me, long story short they changed they changed the mattresses after things turned ugly.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!Bought furniture from here and they brought the wrong color couch and lazily put my bed together to where my headboard was loose. Tried to tell me that I ordered that color couch even though I went in with a picture of the one I wanted which was gray. Also two of the drawers to my chest were damaged during the delivery. They told me that they would order the right color couch, a footer for the bed, and 2 new drawers for the chest. Never once did the sales person Ron try to keep in contact and when he did respond his information was never correct to where he said he would deliver but didnt. Ron would then proceed to to respond unprofessionally like it was my fault that my stuff wasnt here when he said it would be.

I purchased a couch in the first part of April as well as a dining room table, I patiently waited for these items to be ordered and delivered to the store. A month later I called to check on these items and was informed that dining room table set had arrived. At this point I was given a date for delivery, when the day came and neared its end I called again. Upon reaching a representative it was clear that the delivery date had been forgotten, if it ever was set. Anyhow, I was told, “we just put it together and we’re getting it ready for delivery. There is a delivery ahead of you.” “Ok, fine.” I replied. A few minutes later I received a call from them stating that there was no way they could make my delivery as well as the other on time today and would I be ok with the following day. Slightly irritated I agreed. The next day it got worse. When they finally got to my house nothing was assembled as previously stated. They spent roughly 2 hours assembling the set(in the truck and out of my sight) only to tell me that they did not have all of the parts and would return tomorrow to finish the job. It was finished 2 days later. As I stated these items were ordered in the first week of April and the dining room table set took a month and some. To date I still have not received the the couch I’ve called several times and I’ve been given any and every date or excuse possible. I’ve furnished my last house twice through Wolverton. Unfortunately, I’ve had to furnish the rest of my new home through other vendors for fear of not having my items in a timely fashion as the majority would be for my children. I cannot say you should not shop here but, be warned and beware.

I recently bought 3 Chester drawer sets from them. When they initially came to bring my merchandise it was not the right stuff. Waited another week and still didnt hear from them. I went to the store to ask about my stuff and I compromised for 2 Chester drawers and a dresser set that was to be delivered the same day since it was there in stock. I called by the time I got off of work and Ron told me that the drivers were extending their on post pass cause it had expired. Hours later still nothing. And of course, no refund. Will seek legal advice on this situation.

Walking into Wolvertons is like coming home. Ronn is very nice and always helpful, and the furniture is not only affordable but also high quality! Id recommend them to anyone...and have!

Got a great deal on the dresser I bought

Went in to see if they could help get my kids set up with new beds and dressers. Gave them my budget and they not only meet my intent, but exceeded my expectations. The owner, manager, and salesman, Keith, all worked together making it happen for my 4 kids

Do not be lured in purchasing furniture from this store during their liquidation sales. It is basically a scam to take advantage of a Soldiers situation.They have unprofessional business practices and are RACIST, harrassing my husband. It may end up costing you quite a bit of money. They mark up the prices of furniture and then attempt to give you a discount, which is not uncommon. However, the owner and sales team are extremely unreasonable. I purchased a dining room set and it was not a floor model. This item was brand new and had to be ordered and delivered from a warehouse. On the same day, I noticed the same exact furniture was being sold elsewhere for about 900 dollars cheaper. I asked to cancel the order about two hours later and they refused, stating that all sales are final. While I understand that to be true for all the floor model furniture, he refused to cancel an order he did not even put in. When we kindly asked him, he responded by yelling at us and saying, yall are THOSE types of people. While I dont understand the meaning of that statement, I know such comments are unprofessional and unwarranted when negotiating for a refund. This owner was charasmatic when selling the furniture but unreasonable and unprofessional when we asked for a price match or retund for new furniture not even ordered. The worst part was after the whole ordeal, he told us, even when the furniture arrives and was not correct, no matter the condition or contents, it was ours because it was paid for. We mentioned that we were going to PCS soon and that after a month, we would no longer be in Lawton, the owner told us in better terms that it was not his problem. So in other words, if the furniture came in broken or incorrect or swapped out, he would just reorder it and if we were not there to receive it, it would be our loss. No refunds, no if, ands or buts. I would be extremely Leary of ordering furniture from a store with such business practices whom are going out of business and cannot guarantee the quality or even the correct model of furniture being delivered. Once you swipe your card, its not our problem because are going out of business mentality.BEWARE!!! Please see the owner reply below for yourself. Instead of providing good customer service and asking how he may remedy the situation, notice how he mentioned that whatever negative things I say will come back on me. This is not in any way a professional response. Instead, it showcases their rude attitude and their utter lack of care to gain their customers satisfaction. Most petty and rude in every way. The statement about online knock-offs is generated from the customers finding the same brand and model and specific pieces for 1300 dollars less from reputable websites that guarantee satisfaction or will provide a refund. Be way of those who do not provide refunds, customer satisfaction or trick you into purchasing brand new furniture as-is, final sale ordered from the exact same locations but marked up heavily. Supporting local businesses are absolutely important but there should be a relationship of trust, not price gouging or deception! Also, the comment about Chinese knockoffs is arguably inaccurate as many of their pieces are indeed manufactured overseas, including Asian countries.

Paid for two chairs, was promised the chairs in 1 week. 6 weeks later no chairs. Called numerous times only had one call returned. Have been lied too several times. Then this morning. At 10 am called ron, he was upset because I woke him up.

So a little over a month ago I purchased over $2000 worth of furniture from Wolvertons. I absolutely loved what I purchased, Or why would I buy it? The next day my furniture was delivered. Upon delivery I realized none of my furniture had been strapped down, properly wrapped or anything. Nothing had been done to ensure that it arrived in one piece to my home. However, during the moment I didnt think to much of it because I was getting my beautiful furniture and I couldnt wait to start decorating. The gentlemen were nice enough they brought it in and placed the items where I asked them to, made sure I was satisfied with the position, assembled my coffee table and were on their way. Mind you, without any if us ever inspecting the state of the furniture that had just been delivered. Over that weekend I bought new decor and a new entertainment stand to match my furniture. Later in the week I began decorating and rearranging. As I did this I went too pull out one of my mirrored glass end tables. As I did so my finger got cut and a piece of glass came out. So the next day which was a Thursday or Friday I called and reported it. The lady said she would get back to me. ...a week went by and I called back, she politely reassured me they would get back to me they were Just waiting to speak to the delivery boys who apparently were both out on vacation. So almost another week passes by and I get a phone call from a gentlemen asking what happeNed I explained and he then informs me that the table wasnt broke when it was delivered and I told him that it hadnt Been inspected Or properly secured or even wrapped for protection for the ride to my house... his respond well it wasnt broken when it was delivered because im the one that delivered it. As if that means hes infallible to making honest human Mistakes! He then proceeds o tell me after I debated some more, that he would talk to the office and get back to me. To this day I havent heard back from them! Im so dissapointed because my sales rep was such an amazing guy and hes the main we CHOSE to go wIth Wolvertons after months of looking for the right place. And i say chose because it was a MISTAKE that will NEVER happen again, so if you are reading this and know of a nice furniture store please let me know because i still have to replace 3 rooms of furniture! Horribly misleading place. I wouldnt be as upset if they had done any of the things they agreed to such as calling me back, regardless of the outcome. Its as simple as having the desire to maintain an employee customer relationship, which they failed to do. So why would I ever return? And what concerns me the most is that their employees have no sense of accountability and these are people we allow into our homes after giving them a great deal of money. How could you be so arrogant to think that your improper handling of something so delicate and your pure lack of initiative to properly secure this item could be anyones fault but your own? I really wish things had been different because truly it wasnt that big of a deal, I simply turned the stand to face the wall and the break wasnt that big, and they would have known that if they ever would have come to inspect it. It was they way they conducted themselves when such a minor issue did arise that said it all. So beware future potential customers and heed my advice ANYWHERE BUT WOLVERTONS!

I had been looking for a sectional, I had checked other furniture stores, couldnt find what I was looking for, found a couple but way out of my price range, decided to go to Wolverton, Ron advised me who to see, I seen Miss Lisa, I explained what I was wanting and my price range, she was very professional, very eager to help me, needless to say Wolverton had my sectional, very competitive price.
