I havent been to savers for several years and decided to shop there today. I was pleasantly surprised at what they had to offer. I purchased a couple of cute Halloween decorations and a shirt for my granddaughter. Karen, a wonderful employee was so friendly and fun to talk to, she has a great attitude and I could tell she really loves her job. I will definitely return, over all I had a great experience.

The store was very organized and clean. It was easy to find what I was looking for. I feel that the customer service could have been better. I was not greeted by anyone until I was ready to check out.

The store is very organized and clean, with helpful employees, however, I wont be returning to shop here. They have permanently removed their fitting rooms, while all the other thrift stores in the area are open. When I asked about their return policy, (since you cant try on anything in the store), they will exchange items for in-store credit within 14 days. If I need to take things home to try them on, they should offer a money return option. Im bummed, but there are other great thrift stores in the area that Ill be going to now, which actually offer better prices on their items.

Price are getting outrageous on everything in the store!! An example they wanted $150 for a kitchenaid mixer that was all old and discolored yellow color. They act like they bought the stuff they are selling! Been coming to this location for years. Price started going up last year even when they were getting tons of donations! Warning: The rewards program discount they give you too expires after while!!

This store is always clean and the employees are always cordial. Have a great selection of clothes and housewares, and every once in a while you find a great treasure in electronics or in the books. the only thing Ive noticed is that they dont pay a whole lot of attention to what things should be sold together, or they intentionally separate things that go together so they can charge separate. Not all the time, just in a few instances. And it may not be intentional, it may just be how they got things out of the bins pricing. Overall I enjoy coming to this store and will continue to do so.

My daughter Bailey has discovered ready over the last year and wants me books all the time. You would surprised at how hard books are to found. We always have a fun time at Sabers. Everybody can always find at least 1 Hing they might die if they cant get it. I love finding old toys there I had as a child or something the older kids had as kids. Halloween id the best time to go for costumes. Love their half off tags and.on certain days or holidays they have everything 1/2 in store. I once worked a summer at Savers during college it was such a blast. Always recommend this store.

I have been donating to and shopping at this store for years, but I will be going elsewhere from now on. Unfortunately, like the prior review says, they have opted to remove the dressing rooms and have not not updated their return policy to compensate for that fact. In addition, I have always struggled to remember the details of their confusing return policy and found out today that some linens I purchased yesterday are not eligible for an exchange at all. Like others have noted, shop at the other resale places nearby until Savers decides to make some changes for a more customer-friendly experience.

The employees are typically very nice and professional. Removing the fitting rooms was a huge mistake. I will not be coming here to buy anything anymore.

Ive never gone inside store, just go to donate. The helpers there are always very kind and courteous.

Went here shopping for a pair of mens shorts during the pandemic. I was not allowed to try them on, but two employees said I could just buy them and take them home and try them on, and that I could bring back any that I didnt want or that didnt fit. So I picked out 6 that I liked OK in looks, and about the right size. When I got home and tried them, just 2 fit right. So the next day I took the others back, and that is when the story changed. Oh no they said, you cant get your money back. You can only EXCHANGE the items. Well, there were no signs saying this that I saw, and neither employee had clarified this, that yes you can bring them back, but only to get some other product. The manager would also not budge on this, even though I had been deceived. SO BE VERY CAREFUL AND BE SURE YOU WANT WHAT YOU BUY----NO REFUNDS! So I donated the other pairs of shorts to a different thrift store.

Way too many customers enter the store without masks with no repercussions.I no longer feel safe in this store anymore. Its ridiculous.However, there was this man with earrings who was quite polite and helpful when finding certain products. He seems to be the only good thing about this location.

I went in hopping to find a shower curtain rod. But they didnt have any. But I asked for some help to see if I was looking in the right place.....SURPRISINGLY Enough a young man offered to help me, any was very very nice. I have been there before and could get no help. The change was great. Cudos to the young man. And Merry Christmas !

Great place for treasure hunting. I buy most of my clothes there. I especially like the 30% off Tuesdays for Seniors. I believe its for 55 & up!

Not allowing customers to try on merchandise. Was told that if we bring it back wed get a refund. Brought it back to be told I had to spend 6.99 to get the rest back??

I have shopped at this store since right after it opened.The cashiers have always been kind. One recognized me whenever I shopped there, honestly asking how I was doing and would even ask about points of conversation we had talked about during a previous visit.I only learned to stay away from one employee who would voice her dislike of things about her job or personal life. Something must have been said, because she stopped and just assists customers without voicing her personal issues.I have enjoyed interaction with the manager. He has been kind to me.But three times in a row, when I donated to the store, an employee was what I label authoritarian with me. Each time he found a reason to raise his voice at me. I complained to the manager after the second time. 2 February 2021 when I donated more items, the employee figured out I was the one who had complained and stated so to me in an increasingly raised voice. I got into my vehicle and without even putting on my seatbelt drove away to get away from him.Sadly to say, I will neither be donating to or shopping at this store again.

I usually go here when I specifically look for something...today, its a cashmere sweater. The place has a good selection and is well laid out. Savers is a for profit organization with a non-profit program. Thats my pet peeve about them since they deliberately mislead in their advertising . Stay away from the bathroom...one of the worse Ive ever been in (that goes for all their stores).

Ive been to other savers and got anxiety from the organization. THIS savers was however the complete opposite. So VERY organized and clean!! Easy to find items!!

Love how they give coupons when donating. Great customer service as well.

Found shoes that actually fit me when everywhere else had either to small or to big. Amazing staff and knowledgeable about their items.

The people who work here are very sweet and have to put up with a lot of customers that arent. I love thrift stores and visit this one frequently. I feel the items are priced fairly as well.

Their prices have drastically increased since becoming for-profit, to the point that they are pricing used items higher than theyd be brand new. And its totally inconsistent. Maybe they need someone who has a current concept of retail prices to be in charge of price tags?But what really got me was that during this whole COVID thing they discourage you from using reusable bags, but are still trying to charge you for a paper bag at checkout. I mean, cmon. We understand the reusable bag thing, but then offer the paper bags for free. Its called good customer relations.Im done with Savers. DI and Goodwill can have my money from now on, and I highly encourage others to follow suit. Savers used to be great. I hope they return to that.

The only thing good about the store was cleanliness..They are way over priced for getting everything free..With that being said you can get brand new clothes at Wal-Mart ; Ross; Old Navy for the same price or even cheaper!!

I must change my review of this thrift store after living here in Layton for a year. I have donated close to 300 cassette tapes to this location, and not once have I seen them displayed. So there is an employee/s here simply taking home the best tapes for themselves.I come to this store twice a week, and their selection of tapes has always been anemic. So until I start seeing improvements in that area, they get one star for taking the joy out of thrift shopping.

I went recently with my mom to get stuff for my Halloween costume, which isn’t super basic so the items were hardest to find but I found everything in one trip and majority of it was $3.00! Amazing prices and such amazing employees!! My favorite thrift store😄

I love coming here to find hidden treasures. Half off days are really great but its extremely busy when they first open. Inventory is always changing.

I dont think Ill be shopping here anymore. Their price increases are outrageous and comical. They want at least double what Goodwill and DI would want for a similar item. Some items are the same price as they would be new. An old dirty plastic childrens basket toy that was essentially trash they were asking $4 for. I wonder if this location will go out of business especially with the much more reasonable Goodwill and DI on the same block.

The prices here are pretty high for a thrift shop. There was an item there with a Goodwill tag on the back for $1.99 and the Savers tag said $3.99, really? $8.00 for a swimsuit top that didnt even have a matching bottom? $13 for a simple tube top dress? A friend of mine wanted to buy three Monster High dolls (all the exact same doll, just different outfits). They were three totally different prices and they refused to make the prices the same.

I was told I cant try anything on but I could purchase the clothes, try them on at home and return them if I didnt want them. Tried to return them and the manager rudely told me I cant return them. He had an attitude when they were the ones who were lying to customers

This place has really nice stuff but for a used good store is priced ridiculously. If your goods are all from donations then why price a used childs shirt for more then 10. Got three stars cause its cleaner then other places smells good and has decent stuff. Prices and services isnt that great.

The employees are always so cheerful and welcoming. It can get busy at times but even then, I always get a smile.I almost always find what Im looking for and they have great sales.

I got to say I am very impressed with this store. Went in just to browse and ended up finding some sweet finds. First was a bag of Mega Blocks for my toddler, and next was a pair of jeans for myself. I’m always picky with pants because they need to have front pockets, no “designer” ripped holes, no jewels, sparkles, or gems, and no crazy back patterns. So I actually found a really nice pair. It looks like they were rarely worn because the bottom of the pant legs looked new. The brand was Aeropostale too! I even got to try them on just to be sure that they will fit instead of guessing.They had a lot of unique stuff, and the toy section was very tidy. In fact the whole store had a great layout and tidiness. Was able to pinpoint sizes and women’s to men clothes.I already want to return to find more clothes and toys. I also had a coupon from when I donated bags of clothes. So it’s great way to go through my closet, and earn a bit of a discount to some “new” finds!Also I like buying the odd blankets for the pets!It’s seriously a neat way to recycle, and to find inexpensive items that need a second chance.

The staff is helpful and really grateful for donated items.However, I liked Savers better when they did not charge 3/4 the cost of new items. These are things they got FOR FREE! For the difference, I will buy it new and wear it out myself!

Friendly helpful staff who know mostly what they have. We got 4 Halloween costumes in great shape for the price of 1 new costume. Informative on discount days and this store offer Military discounts everyday (20% off) and senior Tuesdays (30% off). They often have deep discount days to save 50% off for friends and family, just ask.

Best Savers in Utah! Fantastic employees!!! Clean store (including restrooms too) and they put the thrift in thrift store.......great prices on the great finds you uncover on your treasure hunt!!!! Thank you Savers employees for making all of our visits memorable.....

I have shopped at Savers for all my life and a lot more recently within the past 5 years. And being a customer in poverty for so long, I am sick how the prices $$$$ have increased by tenfold on everything. Understanding this is a profit organization they for sure treat it like a business. I can go to Walmart and buy the same shirt for less money and its new. I just dont understand how this is supposed to help people in need and in poverty when you have to spend $15 for a pair of used pants and $10 for used shirt with holes in it. I got five large and clean stuffed animals at the Goodwell for $11 I couldnt find one clean or sizable stuffed animal for no more than $20 to $25. The staff and manager are a joke at this location and could not help me! I highly highly recommend you DO NOT! shop here unless you want to just throw away your money for garbage

Ive been coming here for years and have loved getting clothes here,but the prices have gone way up. Cant find a sundress under $11 and even basic t-shirts run five. $7.50 for a used lingerie top? These things new at Ross arent even this pricy. Actually found shirt from Ross priced higher than what they go for new.Staff is wonderful.

Went today for the very last time here. The worst customer service ever. Was turned away for donating with no explanation or courtesy. Customer service here is horrendous except for the young man with the facial piercings was absolutely helpful, I think his name was Nick he was great I didnt like how one of the staff members actually tried to discipline my children in the kids section while I was there and kids werent doing anything destructive, she ignored me. I felt ignored when I was checking out and the girl checking me out looked bothered to help me. Great stuff but customer service needs help.

The staff are nice and the place is always clean. I rarely see anything broken, and the prices are very reasonable. Love the color sticker sales. Fun to spend time browsing.

I love the savers but the outside is disgusting, outside maintenance should be a higher priority. You parking lot is full of broken glass and cigarette butts.

Very well organized place. You can find new stuff and used items. Compared with DI this is way better.Look for the tag discount of the day.In this store clothing is the most you can find, some electronics and tons of treasures to chase.

Super disappointing. I went to one in California and it was good, but it does not compare to the DI. Also by advertising you are open on Sundays makes me want to not go even more, because nothing says family time like working on a Sunday at a thrift store right savers. Even at the DI line was 1500 cars along I would still wait in that line then go to you guys to give my donations to

I really enjoy going to Savers because I find their store lighting better than Deseret Industries so I dont have to squint. I also like the way they sort their clothes better as well. The prices are great and I usually find what I am looking for, whether its clothing, furniture, housewares, or home decor.

Customer service is TERRIBLE and EXTREMELY RUDE.

One thing I like about this place is everything is sorted in proper categories. First time being in here. The staff was nice and answered my questions. Everything I looked at had a clear price. Some stuff was overpriced for the wear but others great. I found quite a few things brand new with original tags on you just have to be patient and look.

Book prices are terrible. They appoint some random value based on the books original asking price, regardless of its age, condition, popularity, etc.. Each cashier rings them up differently. In my experience they charge more than buying off eBay or Amazon (including the shipping) which defeats the purpose of going to a thrift store. Id love to shop local and I appreciate the jobs they provide but Ill shop and donate my books elsewhere...

I am a thrift store fanatic. Savers is my top. They have more selected brands than the DI and Goodwill. Plus more decor, crafts, sporting goods, etc. I have never came out of Savers empty handed. I recommend!!!

I Love Savers! You never know what youre gonna find, and each store has a bit of the flavor of the neighborhood in which its located.

This use to be a super place but their prices have gotten too high for a thrift store. Variety good but you can buy new for what you pay here. Staff...theyll be there to check you out but dont expect them to stray too far from the counter.
