Elizabeth the general manager REALLY is a miracle maker. I had already found THEE ring for my special moment, but needed to find somewhere to get it sized JUST IN TIME! Elizabeth reassured me that she would do everything in her power to make sure this dream came true, little does she know that she’s the reason everything worked out perfectly! Even with a sudden date change, she took the item to the jewelers herself & made sure it was a priority so that love could happen. Will ABSOLUTELY be coming back in the future, and highly recommend this place if you want someone to care about your love as much as you do! Thank you so much, forever grateful.
Great, fast customer service. Destiny really made me feel like she wanted to help me and went above and beyond doing so. I would highly consider going here for any other jewelry needs, and I recommend anyone else do so, too! And for anyone curious, they have Apple Pay to help you in a pinch if you forgot your wallet like I did.
David Torres the manager at the Layton hills mall Kay jewelers needs a giant pay raise. This guy is the most dedicated man I’ve ever met. We had some issues getting some things done and he would not give himself the option to give up. He had to figure it out no matter what. Took 3 hours to do and 40 minutes after they closed and he eventually helped me out. This guy is the best!!
Great employees with great personalities. Definitely will show a thing or two! Walked out as a satisfied customer!
I had the most memorable experience shopping at Kay Jewelers! The staff was incredibly sweet and kind!! They helped my fiancé and I find the most beautiful perfect engagement ring and wedding band! As you know it is so exciting to shop with your loved one for something so special that you will both cherish for years to come! David Torres, Enim Fierro, and Joseph Pacheco made the experience that much more extraordinary! Their helpfulness, time, and charm had just enhanced our wonderful experience! I highly recommend visiting them when the thought of jewelry occurs, their kindness and jewelry options will leave you feeling so grateful you did! Thank you so much for creating a lovely memory for my fiancé and I!
Unimpressed with the companys accountability and communication. Someone should be addressing negative comments.
What an amazing experience! The store manager Elizabeth was so kind and listened to my needs. My original wedding set had been stolen and I was looking to replace but with something close in appearance for sentimental resemblance. Elizabeth truly listened and helped me find the ring that was perfect for me. She helped me find every deal possible so that it was also in my price range. Destiny was so helpful in assisting with a speedy, safe check out and I could not be happier. I’m so grateful for these two ladies today who turned a terrible situation into something I can smile about. Thank you both!!
We went to the Layton hills Kay Jewelers today and received the best service! The store manager helped us with our gifts and offered to special wrap them. She was professional and attentive.I highly recommend!!
Great to work with! Elizabeth was so nice. They easily could have charged us extra money on a technicality, but they chose to help us out. We will definitely come here in the future.
Always friendly superb service at this location. I highly recommend Kays for your fine jewelery needs
The staff at Kay Jewelers in the Layton mall is amazing and really helped me out. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect ring for that certain someone.
My experience in this store was pretty phenomenal, to a pretty high degree of discomfort. I was with my girlfriend and the instant we walked into the store we were never welcomed but rather were told we needed masks (which we had forgotten to bring ours, nothing wrong with wearing masks). After given our masks, we were rushed through the whole process. A lady was asking for all of my information, forcing me to leave my partner. The manager at the time, who wore no name tag, was extremely disingenuous, did not care about us, talked really fast, and seemed manipulative. Ive shortened the whole experience in this review and did not write everything.Go downstairs to Morgans and talk with Jim, astromical difference in customer service!
I have a $400 watch at the Kays at the Layton Hills Mall and I keep getting the run-a-round as to when theyll open back up. Youd think they would have even one person there in 5 months to service their customers.
This was my first experience purchasing an expensive piece of jewelry. I settled on a ring I found using their website and ordered it to the store in Layton. The ordering process was fairly easy and their online customer service helped me with questions and concerns. The Layton store manager handled my purchase once the ring arrived and made sure that it met my every expectation. Having the ring resized was painless and much faster than I expected! I am very satisfied with the end result.
Alex was amazing to work with! She is so kind and has a lot of knowledge on their products. We ordered in an engagement ring that wasn’t stocked at their location and it was in within a week! To be honest if it wasn’t for Alex we probably wouldn’t have stayed there because the service we received from other employees was like we were wasting their time and that they didn’t take us serious because were young so we strictly only worked with Alex at all times and couldn’t be happier! We were able to find the most gorgeous and perfect engagement ring! Thanks Alex you’re great!!
I love the people that work there! I worked one on one with Ginger and Suzy! Such great ladies and so professional. They were so fun and energetic. They cared about my likes and dislikes, and the biggest thing for me was they were patient! Im pretty sure I found my dream ring! I highly recommend this store!
Layton hills mall, I dont know her name but a lady in there was awesome. The store experience was awesome
My experience here was amazing thanks to Elizabeth! I definitely recommend coming here and seeing her! Will definitely be coming back
Great customer service and wonderful people! Elizabeth has made Kays our one stop shop for jewelry! Love shopping with her!
I buy ALL my jewelry from here. None of the employees here have been hard to work with but Ive defiantly have had better luck getting lower prices at other Kays locations but I continue to come back to this one because the selection is great :)
I went to take my ring back to get it smaller. They confused me by putting the money on my wifes card and saying that took it back off. To pay for it to be smaller. When they called me to go get it. I went down and they said I owed $200. We had a recipt that said that took it off the card. We looked at the transaction records there was no money out in from anywhere. So I went back and told them that. The guy said I never paid for it but he would call corporate and find out and call me the next day. I never got a call and when I went back down to figure it out he denied everything and ignored me. If I could put 0 stars I would Im out 275 dollars because of this store. I dont recommend going there.
If I could give a zero I would as well. I have given this location several chances and they have been terrible every time. Every person has been rude, condescending and less than helpful. I will never give this location my business. It is very unfortunate because every other location I have been to has been fantastic. Something needs to change here. If you want to shop at Kay avoid this location it’s worth it to drive somewhere else.
Better than the Ogden store for sure. Ordered an 8 from Ogden and got a size 10, Layton luckily had the same band in the right size; easy exchange cause of them.
My name is Jake Harris. I came in today and spoke with the manager, Elizabeth. She was OUTSTANDING. Her level of expertise and concern for her customers well-being was out of this world. I will never use another jeweler aside from the Kays located at the Layton Hills Mall again. I wanted to express my appreciation to all of the staff working today, Nov. 15th, 2018. Each and every one of them went out of their way, from sizing my ring to getting it repaired, my experience here was so much more than pleasant. I felt like I was treated as family. Thank you so much, Kays Jeweler and a big shout out to their manager Elizabeth. Youve accrued a life-long customer today!
I wish I had seen this before going in to have my ring cleaned and looked at.It was bought in CHEYENNE, WY. FABULOUS SETVICE. Took it to the Layton mall to get cleaned and looked at... I still stare at the setting thinking its yellow. When I asked why the guy was taking it behind closed locked doors he said it was for security reasons. So.... why when I stood watching it be cleaned in cheyenne frontier mall it took 5 minutes to clean, but this Layton hills mall was 20 minutes and it doesnt look like the original????
I purchased a sterling silver ring from here that cost a ton of money, you can imagine how disappointed I was when I found out its actually metal (or half metal) which Im allergic to. :(What a rip off, I will never ever buy anything from Kay ever again!I wore the ring for a week and I started getting a rash on my finger where the ring is, thats when I noticed rust on the band of the ring. I was told the ring was 100% sterling silver and it is very obvious now that its not. They lied to me, I asked multiple times if there was any metal in the ring and they told me no every time. I honestly doubt Kay cares about anything other than money, they do whatever it takes to make a sale. Please be careful if buying from them.Id also like to add that the employee assisting me was very pushy and wouldnt listen to me, I told her multiple times I didnt want to sign up for their credit and she continued to hassle me about it. She even handed me the papers to fill out after I thought Id made it clear that I didnt want the credit.
Employees are terrible to work with. I bought an engagement ring, it didnt work out with the girl, so I went to exchange it. I had passed the 30 days so I couldnt get my money back but I could still exchange it because I was within the 90 days. They gave me a huge run around when this kind of thing shouldve been easy. I tried 1-2 times every week to exchange it until it hit past 90 days which at that point they told me I couldnt exchange... do not shop with these horrible people. TJ was the main one I worked with during this headache.
Avoid at all costs!! I purchased a ring and all the “warranties” that came with it. The ring started to lose some small diamonds. We took the ring in and had the diamonds replaced 3 different times. This last time we went to have the ring fixed, they instructed us that the diamonds are falling out because we had it resized. Really? You can’t resize rings without loosing diamonds? But, that’s not the main issue. The main issue is that they told me they can’t fix the ring. But wait there’s more, they told me they can fix my ring if I by a new band for $1300. So my options were to tell my girlfriend she has to choose a new promise ring, which she’s had for 3 years. Or, I can pay $1300 to fix my “unfixable” ring.. This is what happens when you put policy over customer service. And to think I was going to by my engagement ring from them. Thankfully I know better now.
Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable sales staff. Truly a positive buying experience!
The worst costumer service ever!!!! All I wanted was my ring soldered together after I got married and it took three times for them to somewhat get it and they still got it wrong. The first time the ring didnt even look like my ring when she pulled it out of the bag and when I tried to tell her that it wasnt right she just argued with me till I showed her a picture of what it looked like before. Hello! Do I not know what my own ring looks like?! The second time it was way too big and was falling off my hand and the third time it was still too big and they argued with me again about the size and told me it should be fine when the weather warms up, even though my hands werent cold. Are you serious?! Why cant they just do it right the first time?!These people need spent more time doing their jobs right instead of arguing with their costumers. I finally had to take it somewhere else for the job to be done right. Very disappointed.
I entered the store and there were 3 employees sitting in the back talking and looking at their phones. One finally asked if I needed help after I had been wandered around looking for several minutes. They did not stock personalized items, so I was handed an ipad to look for the item on their main web-page. The internet was very slow and after 10 minutes of waiting on screens to populate, I said I could do this from home faster and I left. I walked across the hall in the mall and purchased the product I needed. Why even have a store front if you make the customer order off the internet? Staff was very unfriendly, and not willing to help me as customer.
The employees at the Layton Mall are OUTSTANDING!
I would actually give this place a zero stars if I could. I purchased my wifes ring back in 2013. She noticed the diamond was defective and had a crack through the diamond. She brought it back to the store and they told her they could exchange the diamond. About a couple of weeks later she got a new diamond but it had a noticeable piece of cloth wedged between the diamond and setting. My wife noticed it immediately and complained to a Kays associate named Ginger. She didnt even look at the ring, told my wife she was crazy, she was being picky and that my wife had put it there (even though she hadnt even worn the ring yet). Another associate was kind enough to actually look at the ring and saw the fabric. When it came back, the fabric was still there. Again, Ginger was working and ignored my wife for 10 min. Finally she looked at my wife and asked, as if she was being inconvenienced, Is there something that I could help you with? My wife was upset and saw someone else about the issue. Thank heavens that they exchanged the ring right before the wedding. In all, I would never go to Layton Hills Kays to buy a ring and if you happen to make the mistake of buying a ring there, dont have Ginger help you.
Great customer service! See Elizabeth for all of your needs and questions.
I went there to get a custom ring made. They drew it out, I even gave them a website to go to (to see the ring I wanted). They said I would get pictures of the custom ring, didnt get them. I got a wax mold and was told it would be thinner than the mold, it wasnt (it was twice the size) and then I got the ring it was bigger than my engagement ring and was horribly put together. It had metal smashed in on a diamond, the diamonds werent even on each side, it was twice the height of my other ring, I couldnt even close my hand. Not to mention they had my engagement ring for 4 months to mold it with my custom ring. I had them send it back with a list of things to fix and when it came back all that was changed was the ring size. TJ was awful to work with, he stuck up for their crappy work and made it out like I wasnt being clear enough. I will never step in their store again!
They open late more often than they open on time. And ignore you. The employees are rude and stuck up. Go somewhere else for your own sanity. This store doesnt care about its customers.
Good to deal with, we have a few times
Ordered a ring 70 days ago! When i talk to them they cant even keep the date i prepaid strait, no wonder they havent made it! I have also been disapointed with them in the past, im done with them.
They were very rude when I went in too have my ring taken care of. And they messed up my paper work which left me without a ring for over a month.
Do not shop here. Alex, Elizabeth and Derrick only care about getting money. They dont care about helping a customer. Avoid Kay Jewelers at all cost.
Stay away from Ginger.
Sales are good.
My gf ordered a size 12 ring and she got a size 10 :-( caution when buying from here.
Fraud. Will never use Kay again. Store manager, Elizabeth is a real “gem”
The phone should ring rather than the annoying fax ring!
