Went in to look around,(ended up going back to purchase something) i wasnt greeted but when i was leaving the first time,a new employee said goodbye to me and i turned around to wave goodbye to her; The other employee, diana, looked at me up and down with the most sour unflattering look as if i disgusted her.The new girl,( i wish i got her name) shes very sweet and patient.

My husband and I bought a gift card for our niece and apparently we got charged twice. It has been barely over a week and we are frustrated because the employee remembered my husband and knew he had only bought the one gift card but management said they couldnt help us. My husband showed the receipt of the gift card and our bank statement (which had proof that we got charged twice) and even with the employee there the management said that we could not get refunded because #1 we didnt have a receipt for something that we didnt buy (surprising) and/or #2 my niece had already spent the gift card. We did notice within a week after the purchase and tried calling but the number they had available didnt go to the people in the Layton Hills mall. Instead it was a general person and they said that we had to go in the store because we didnt have an account and he couldnt help us. Why not have the phone call just go to Layton? By the time we made it back to the store (less than a few days later) they said there was nothing that they could do about it. I would not recommend this place since the manager had no ability to take care of the situation even though the employee remembered and we showed our receipt and our bank statement. Now we have to email customer service and hope that they will give our money back. This is something that the manager should be able to fix. We are not impressed with the limitations hot topic gives its managers and we will not shop here again if it is not fixed.

I was looking for a present for my SO. I was able to find what i wanted and more. Definitely one of the best places to find anime related items. I love this place I been going since i was a little kid.

Fantastic service here. I was looking for some demon slayer shirts or pins but that stuff has been selling like crazy so I didn’t have high hopes but the guy working there asked my size and pulled a shirt of the wall which was the very last one I was ecstatic and I appreciate the amazing customer service.

I dont really shop much and I havent been inside of a Hot Topic in almost ten years but I popped in to check their industrial bars and the girls working here were phenomenal. I loved seeing merch for a lot of my favorite anime and movies but honestly, the employees just blew me away. The girl who helped me was the sweetest and just so helpful. Already told a few friends to go check out this store!!

So I’ve been coming to the store Since my son was like five years old because he loves it. All locations are usually up to par when it comes to customer service. However, this one goes above and beyond. Right now the demon slayer is what he’s really into and it goes off the shelves as fast as it goes on if not faster and the guy asked what shirt size my son was and immediately went and ripped the shirt down from the display because it was his size also I got overcharged on something because it was listed lower but the SKU rang up as full price. Immediately the ladies handled it took care of me and made sure that all my discounts were reapplied also it was the end of my birth month and still made sure I got my Birthday coupon. All staff members have always been awesome. In society full of failing customer service I am pleased to see customer service such as this

They have moved stuff around. It makes it easier to move in the store.

I was ready to spend a lot of money at this location and was shopping and about ready to check out (my kids are into anime and Disney which they have so many awesome things!), when I could hear the manager tell the cashier to skip the loyalty program with me(I think she wanted to get me out of the store due to having my 4 kids with me). I was very offended and expressed my concern about that to the employee. The employee was fantastic and cheerful and very apologetic for the managers statement. I ended up not spending money due to the customer service and treatment I received. If the manager can reach out to me I would be more than happy to speak to her and shop there again. For now, not so good.

Love going here to look at all the cool stuff. I like to buy T-shirts there but they are almost always out of X-Large. This seems to be a popular size, they should have more available.

Went there recently to pick up an item. This item was limited to 1 per person. A Karen (obviously a scalper) got mad at me and other customers who got said item (only 1 each), because she wasnt allowed to get 2 of the item cus her toddler didnt count as a separate person. This woman then harrassed some of the other people there, AND EVEN FOLLOWED MY MOM AROUND THE MALL TRYING TO GUILT HER INTO GIVING THE ITEM TO HER TODDLER! If this store/mall does nothing to stop crazy people from acting like this I may never go back.

Love this nerdy geeky store!!! Even though they didnt have what I was looking for, I still had a fun time browsing what was currently in stock! 😄

Never experienced this at a hot topic befor normally really welcoming! This employee had short hair half red half blue but she was very hostile I pick up a pop from the middle and the one next to it tipped on its side, she stormed over speedwalking cut in front of me And slammed the pop back down the way she acted was completely unacceptable i will not be back

This is the best place to shop for all my teenagers. We always find fun stuff for everyone here, we were here to get a replacement tees shirt for one that tore while doing yard work. We ended up buying 3 on a buy 2 get one free deal, they are worn all the time, thanks for having awesome selection.

They have a great selection of good t-shirts, sweaters, button ups, etc. They have a great clearance section as well i was really surprised to find how nice the clothes were on clearance and how great the prices were. Theyre prices ranged wonderfully differing on what brand of clothing it was but the clearance section was almost all under 20 bucks, or possibly even lower! Amazing!

Workers were very nice and attentive! Let me know the deals they currently had and was really great when I asked if something was in stock in the back.

Still the same great store after having been away for three years. The staff are incredibly helpful and more than willing to assist.

The cashiers seemed more interested in talking to each other than helping customers check out. They had one lane open, and the line circled the store. Then I got home just to find that they left a theft device on one of the shirts. I went back in to get it off just to have the same experience. I gave them 3 stars due to the fact that they do have items you always cant find elsewhere.

This store is too crammed and unorganized. It has some cute stuff if youre willing to seek it out while touching another person who is looking in the same area. The staff seem to blend in with the walls and are typically as about as helpful as one.
