Definitely not impressed with the food nor the service. I asked my waitress for a side pancake and her response was “for what” hopefully to eat but now I regret even asking for it. Fried pancakes, flavorless food, my country fried steak tasted microwaved 😩. The biscuits were moist and delicious and the Mac n cheese was delicious. Definitely not coming back for food ! However, the shop is super cute though!

Watch Out! You dont get what you pay for!! Sadly I must give up Cracker Barrels delicious meatloaf. Its been the only thing I order and Ive Always ordered a whole one. I usually ordered it special with no problems. Normally a whole order is 8 pieces. It was authorized on my last order to only give me 6. I was still charged for a whole order which I gladly payed for and left. When I got home and took the lid off you could see through the plastic wrap that it was NOT a whole order. Ive been making this same order for quite some time but the last couple of months it has come with some issues. ( but its so delicious) Sometimes its been miscommunication others its been customer service. About a month ago one order was completely wrong and late and I had ordered it a day ahead. I spoke with a manager, Eddie Plaza, explained everything to him and told him I would not be back. He was very apologetic and so nice that he convinced me to one more try. THIS was the result. VERY disappointed, so much so that the meatloaf went to waste. I didnt trust it. And so did my $38 bucks! Im gonna miss that meatloaf. My husband wanted to take it back and pour it on their counter. We decided to do this review instead.

Im so late. I dined here 10-17-21. Service was lacking but food was good. We did come at closing time...people were ready to go home. I love Cracker Barrel in spite of....

The food was very delicious. I didnt like the syrup but everything else was good. The grits was good with some sugar and yes Ill eat it. But I enjoyed everything and with the gift shop with it where people can shop while they eat.

The service was good but it just doesn’t feel like home anymore. The service is not great anymore, they don’t light the fireplace when it’s cold and their food quality has gone way down.Their Chicken Fried Steaks are frozen and taste like cardboard, some of the vegetable sides taste canned and the food overall doesn’t feel like grandma’s cooking anymore.And now they serve liquor at a family restaurant, not good.

They do not care about employees.I worked there about 5 years ago. Great food and good systems. They will not give more than 25 hours to most employees because then would have to pay for health care. So they hire more people instead. Servers do very well here. Retail people like me struggle. No solution from the company on this; at least they could make an effort. The statements that the privately-owned company cares are not backed-up when it comes to this. They would be better to just offer some health care instead of constant hiring for the hugely profitable retail side. Retail sales there generate $4,000-$10,000 per day. This could be solved. The company has chosen not to try at all.Retail Manager at the time had great performance from the employees but he does not take care of them. He personally just toes the line.

Only thing that saved this experience was the food. Our server Brittany was horrible. We asked for coffee creamer 3-4 times and never got it until I had to get up to ask another person to help. She had the audacity to come up to us and say did you get the creamer and chocolate milk I sent out… like ma’am I went and asked someone else to get me this. I honestly hope if I come back I don’t get her again because it was the worst experience ever. The bidder had to go get our check so we could leave..

Visiting many, Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, I find this location has good service and lacking in taste when it comes to the country food part. I had the Gravy Biscuits and found that it was from a mix and not made from scratch. Three stars is for service alone and not for the food. This location should be avoided if you are looking for that home cook meal. Looking for just something to fill you up, then this place will do. After all, you can buy snacks and drinks in the store.

This place is great all around My grandma always wants me to take her here you get complementary small glass maple syrup bottles when you order pancakes the chicken strips are for sure off the chart they are so good the steak was very tough would not recommend for steak lovers everything else top shelf

I ordered a mixed vegetable tray with a SWEET POTATO I got the veggies and a LOADED BAKED POTATO I told the waitress I ordered a sweet potato, not a baked potato, she said, OH !! She took it back and I had to wait another 10 minutes for the sweet potato 🙄😥

Greeter was pleasant and accommodating. She chose a couple of options for our seating quickly and allowed us to choose. We were seated quickly.Waitress was very cordial and polite. She checked on our needs just the right number of times and stayed aware of assistance required.Meal came reasonably quickly, but in separate pieces. Could have been coordinated a little better. Food was good.Overall, a good dining experience.

Great customer service and food. Very busy as it was Father’s Day. However customer service was phenomenal and the shopping was a plus.

Typically this place is awesome, but sometimes it is hit or miss, such a bummer.They did remove some of my favorite sides off of the menu and they are now charging for things that they typically didnt before. But Ill take my chances on the food and service to not have to make Chicken Fried Steak at home. Also watch out for chipped plates, they are rampant!

My 1st visit to this establishment was in Houston. I was amazed that NO One working there knew the history of Cracker Barrel. The hostess went out of her way to find out. I dont understand paying at register. Why dont they handle that at table? It was an experience.

This store was great. My sister gives mom and I gift cards,so we can have nice meals at times. But now They have gotten were you can not use a gift card to order curbside online. Our Pearland on said we have to come in to pay and pick up. I am disabled and my mom will be 86 in a couple weeks. But this store, actually had a very nice lady, that came out got our card took it in paid. Brought the receipt back. Then when order was ready brought it out to us. We appreciate this store so much. We told my sister might as well not get us the cards anymore. Which is bad for Cracker Barrel, because this year alone she bought us 2 $50 dollar ones and a $75. Was going to buy us more but we told her not to. Love the food but tooo bad.

Gift shop was great!! Could have walked around for hours. Staff was very helpful.We had Aric as our server and he did an amazing job. He was quick with drinks and service.

Excellent food. My sister gave my mom and I a $50 gift card for here. Because of their good lunch prices, we got to get take out three times. Each time we both had so much food that we both had 2 meals off the one. 2 of the times we got 3 meals off the one. The last order i had to add $7 out of pocket, to finish paying. But we each got 3 meals of our one. The price for the first two orders also included the tip.

Ordered dine in on a busy Sunday they took a few minutes to get us seated the staff were really busy, but it didnt quite matter as the food was delicious I always ordered the Chicken and Dumplings,Corn, and Mac and Cheese they never disappoint me with there food and the little store has great stuff to buy. Its a little high price for the items in the store part. But there items are worth it. Definitely recommend eating but I also recommend dont eat there when there full as service my take awhile.

While I get that Cracker Barrel is an institution, Ive always found their take on comfort foods from the south to be bland, boring, and resembling Sysco staples - delivered foods awaiting personal touches that Cracker Barrel has stopped doing.Sure. Sure. The pandemic was brutal on restaurants, and Im not without compassion or perspective. There are just so many other restaurants specializing in southern dishes that do those dishes justice rather than high sodium dishes that still desperately need salt, pepper, and other table top flavor additives to make it taste, at least and sadly, like something out of the grocery store frozen section.HOWEVER! I love their stores. Depending on the location, there are items for sale that reflect the locale! Reasonably priced and GIANT SIZED CANDIES make for a fun shopping trip.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Restaurant/Store in League City Texas has great fried Catfish and Hush Puppies on Fridays...Cornbread muffins are great anytime...and Veggies are great anytime...Try it...I think you will like it.

I always loved the idea of breakfast whenever I want.my only complaint I put acoustic..I have severe hearing loss and all the random noise makes it hard to have a decent conversation. So I learned long ago to just were my earbuds and enjoy my music while eating....just plan visit accordingly or you will be waiting a long while

My mom didn’t want to say anything, and personally i didn’t either but it very much effected our time. while dining here the hosts gave us a time of 25-30 minutes, we got a table in only 5 minutes, good training on their part to give us a longer time than estimated, good training on their part. problem was the waiter. he didn’t introduce himself, so i don’t even know his name. spent about 10 or so minutes to wait for him to come to our table, took even longer ro get our drinks and food (we are three people, he had one less table as we watched them leave, and in my time working in the food service industry- it can be done right away. i did get a possibly complicated drink order, but in the past they brought water while you wait for your actual drink). didnt offer my mom creamer with her coffee until he serviced a different table, grabbed their creamer and then offered that to us. he was not friendly, didn’t talk to us, and rarely acknowledged us. this behavior in itself is not okay, what made it worse was the fact that we watched him pay attention to the people that came after us, all of which were white people, which made us wonder if this was motivated behavior. we were speaking spanish momentarily in front of him, we don’t look white, and we just simply don’t look american. he was very talkative to the white people who came after us, brought drinks right away, gave food to them even before we got ours, and was overall a much better waiter to them. we left without giving tip, which is the most i think my mom felt comfortable doing, but this is not okay.+ added in after: my mom did get particularly the wrong order, my sisters drink was off tasting and watered down

Went here which was my 1st time going which I was so excited UNTIL when I asked for coffee the waiter gave me someones ALREADY USED CUP WITH RED LIPSTICK ON IT!! LIKE WTH? That took away my excitement. Other than that food was like blah, grits was somewhat uncooked. Will I go again, NOPE!

My family and I loved this place. We never been but it was appealing to our eyes on the highway. The country fried steak was my favorite and service was great. I’m going to add this establishment to my list of places to eat when driving on the highway.

First time out to a restaurant since the pandemic started. I was a little nervous but excited to be out. It was not busy, so that was a plus. They had a mandatory mask wear in place, except when eating (which I like at this point in time). Everyone was properly spaced and the employees were friendly and attentive. Our waitress was especially friendly and checked on us regularly. I reccomend them to anyone looking for some home style cooking. I know I will be back. Thanks!

The maple bacon chicken is very good... Big servings. Very friendly service. Down home southern cooking. And a very fun unique gift and candy store. Very good prices on everything.

Having breakfast with my husband at Cracker Barrel and breakfast was not as usual. Unfortunately, my husband had been eating his hash brown and finds a black hair strand in there. We ask for the manager and we show him the hair strand. He tells my husband sorry about that I will fix you another plate. They did, but what I couldnt understand is that the manager didnt say Sir I will not charge you for your meal. Considering he ate a good portion of his hash brown. Now thats what a Good Manager does when he wants nothing but good reviews of his restaurant. This is Horrible!!!! Shame on the manager.......THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Had a party of 10. Hostess Jade said it would be a 5 minute wait. After 20 minutes and watching multiple parties of 4 get seated right away I ask how much longer. Hostess Jade said it would be a few more minutes they had to clean a 3rd table for our party. 10 minutes later, I observed Jade seat multiple other parties. We inquire again how long it would be, Jade just walked away and seated another party of 5. We turned and walked away. Some of our children had items they wanted to purchase. We decide not to purchase anything from the gift shop due to the lack of customers service.

Went in for a late lunch with my gf. Food was great they have up dated their menu and added some new things such as bacon mac n cheese, and biscuit beignets. They also suffer from fall fads such as pumpkin spice lattes never the less Jade hostes was sweet and got us seated fast our server Kelly was really kind and attentive. I gave her a good tip.

The food here is and always will be 🔥. Our family loves meeting there on Sundays for some bonding over good company and food. Usually a 30-45 minute wait but well worth it. If there wasnt a wait Id be worried. Most breakfast plates under $10. Coffee is on point. Definitely a family environment. Been going there for 25 years and has never disappointed. The wait was a little long for a Monday morning but worth it. I wasnt aware that you could check in online but once I found out about it, we checked in and were immediately seated. The food was hot and fresh. Well definitely be returning.

I enjoy cracker barrel a lot. My order was good with pancakes. However, my wifes order with French toast was not. They didnt put powdered sugar or butter on, or even offer to.The service was not great, I was hardly checked on, and there were several times I needed something.

I had a bad experience this time. Our waitress wasnt friendly and welcoming. She was not as attentive at all. She wasnt around much. When she did show up she brought us some hard as a rock biscuits.

Nothing fancy, just straightforward country cooking theyre known for. Food was fresh, service was a bit slow considering they werent crowded. Still overall theyre good at what they do, no matter what location you visit.

Ive been here many times before and have enjoyed the service, but this last time I had a complication with one of the workers, and the situation was a complete miscommunication, but even after the worker her name was Angel, she tried to push me back in line when it was my turn. Even after I said it was fine for the person to go back she continued to give me dirty looks, and said things under her breath. The food is amazing I love it, but I hate for a good place to look bad because of the bad service delivered by the employees. Like I said it was miscommunication but she repeatedly looked at me and my family ugly, and saying things under her breath. It was a first because I go every Saturday and bring friends and family, but this was a bad experience and something that could’ve been just an okay from her and she took it where it didn’t have to go. Overall it would’ve been a great time if the situation hadn’t happened. I know if anyone else would’ve experienced that, you would’ve felt uneasy because it’s supposed to be a good family place and I didn’t argue with her or anything I was just letting her know I was next in line and she didn’t have to make us look or feel like we did something wrong, because I didn’t and my family didn’t.

I would give 5 but we had to wait over 38mins for a server to talk to us. So many walked past lookin at us and nothing until a nice kid who just clocked on asked us if weve been helped. No it was not busy at all either when we went. The server that took care of us was respectful and so nice.

Waited for over 25 minutes for drinks then 35 minutes gor food while others gat there food 20 minutes after thay sat down then we got our food it was cold the i sent it back one manager brought it to me be sarcastic now its very hot laughing and walking away

The food quality is absolutely horrible. This is the 3rd time going there in a row where the food quality was less than what Cracker Barrel use to be like.Do not get the fried fish as it was breading and literally no fish. There was maybe a small pinch here and there. Just extremely disappointed.

If you are looking for a taste of southern cooking and a full belly. This is a a good spot. They have homemade biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon with a side of grits or hash browns. Heck you can get both if you want. They’re lunch is just as good. I recommend the chicken fried steak. They also have a gift shop that has goodies that will take you back to when you where young and carefree. Staff is awesome and food is filling. Great family atmosphere.

Friendly service, but not thorough service. Had to keep asking for refills and condiments. Also, sat all 5 of us at a small table even though there were larger tables available. Very crowded with plates.

How do you mess up mashed potatoes! I order from here 3-4 times a month and when I order mashed potatoes, they are not mashed and the chunks are hard. Not even cooked all the way. Out of the past year I can say only twice were the potatoes actually mashed. Please get someone else to make proper mashed potatoes!

Everything was delicious. Service was excellent.

We were told our wait for our table would be 20 minutes, an hour later we are still waiting as other people are being seated continually. Apparently they no longer accommodate more than 6 people without a huge ordeal. At the hour mark we were told we were still waiting for people to leave their tables.So we left and found another restaurant that was able to seat us without hassle.

Loved it. I liked most cracker barrels but this one was very quiet and quick. Might have been the time of the day. Ordered steak and I like it very very well done and it was cooked perfectly. Friendly server who tolerated my ambivalence about what I wanted to order.

It was my first time back at Cracker Barrel in awhile. Its places like CB that make me feel proud to be a Texan. Great customer service, food was amazing, Id recommend it entirely.

One of my favorite places to eat. The country boy breakfast and the sunrise sampler are my faves. But just about everyone is good here. Prices are really good for the portions they serve. The staffs have always been good to me.

This Cracker Barrel is one of the top ten they have throughout the USA. TRY THE NEW DISHS youll be surprised just how tasty they are. Try the Cod fish or the delish Broccoli crusted Chicken its superb. Im talking Excellency here.

The wife and I are not really big on Cracker Barrel but had some gift guards so decided to give it another go. Waitress was very nice and attentive to our needs. The food came out nice and hot like it should. Everything was prepared correctly and had great taste. The only thing I really hate is their menu. Feel like there is too much stuff on there and its all over the menu making it confusing.
