Called the day prior to see if I can set up an appointment for state inspection on my diesel truck. That means its just a safety inspection that will be 5 min long. Guy told me its first come first serve and to be here at 0900 when they open today. Theres not one vehicle there for an inspection and the lady days itll be 4 to 5 hours before they can get to it. Two employees out there smoking cigarettes and theyve only been open 5 minutes...their cigarette took longer than my inspection would. Needless to say this place is garbage and their ability to time manage and take care of customers is even worse. Front desk lady is a few straws short from a whole bale. Go elsewhere.

Couple of weeks back I took my vehicle to Charles Maund Toyota for regular maintenance and the technician gave me the wheel alignment report and suggested to align the wheels in my next service.I previously bought Firestone Lifetime wheel alignment package but never used it. So I decided to take my vehicle to Firestone and get it aligned. I dropped my vehicle for wheels alignment and waited for more than two (2) hours to know that they only aligned one (1) wheel and other three (3) wheels were unable to align because they were so tight. When I asked the wheel alignment report for that one wheel, I was told that the mechanic didnt print the report and they need to repeat the process again to print the report. I am totally upset and have no words to express my disappointment. I left the place quickly as I cant even stand a minute there. Why didnt they told me upfront about the issue while I was patiently sitting in the lounge. After waiting for two (2) hours and when I asked about my car then only I was told about the issue. It appears that they dont want to align the wheel as I am not going to pay anything to them except the tip. If they genuinely tried at least they should have given me the report for the one wheel they claimed as aligned.Edited 05/11/2021 04:45 PM CST:Updating my review from 1 star to 4 star.I took my car to Toyota service center. They too have difficulty with wheel alignment due to the driver side toe lock bolt stuck to toe adjustment arm. Toyota service center handed out a print out before and after alignment. As per their report the front two wheels toe angles alone cannot be fixed. Of course, this will cause my wheels to wear out quickly.Firestone gave me the similar explanation thus I believe they did tried to do wheel alignment. Hence updating my review from 1 to 4 star.Still I am not giving 5 star as they didnt gave me update until I ask them (wait time of > 2 hours) and didnt gave me wheel alignment report.

TPMS sensor done right. Wheel Alignment done wrong. Recommendations were given to fix other items. I would get a quote PRIOR to get any work done. They have hidden fees. Although considerate after discussions, it is still a hassle for the customer.

Really poor experience here. Arrived a few minutes early for a 10:00 appointment and was told that it would be about 20 minutes before they pulled my car in for an alignment. 45 minutes later they still hadnt pulled the car in. I asked for an update and was told it would be another 20 or 30 minutes before they got to my car. Not sure what the purpose of an appointment is if youre going to have to wait over an hour just to get your car into the bay.

TLDR: good mechanic team but customer service is lackingOrdered some tires from TireRack and got them delivered to this location for installation. Called them and scheduled an appointment. On the day of installation, called them to confirm and they could not find my appointment. Oh boy! The man on the phone was nice and apologetic and got me another appointmentTurned up at the location and I was luckier this time. But, they would not accept the $60 quote and demanded $120. Fine, did not want to waste any more of my time. The front desk guy also was trying to sell a wheel alignment for $200, I was not interested and he did NOT sound happy at all. Asked him to inspect the condition of brake pads but fell on deaf ears. He was only interested in cross selling.In the end the tire replacements were done well with no complaints at all. So they do seem to have a good set of mechanics but the front desk needs a LOT of improvement. It would be a much better experience for customers if they tried to listen to customers instead of just trying to cross sell/demand more cash

Okay so I brought my wife’s car in for a oil leak, after taking it to jiffy lube right next door, and come to find out it was only a leaky oil filter! I am thankful for such a easy fix and they also looked over the car for any other issues and we decided to have most of what they found to be repaired. My biggest thanks is that when I dropped the car off I didn’t have a ride home due to my wife being on a Business trip, probably cheating on me haha JK, but the manager of the store gave me a ride home in his personal vehicle! That there will keep my small little family customers as long as we live in Leander. I want to also mention that I do work for a dealership and knowing I have the trust and convenience of dealership quality work down the street from me with Firestone is a great feeling to have! Everyone there is very knowledgeable and friendly. Eric their master tech is just out standing at what he does and super nice. I can’t see myself going anywhere else!

I generally try not to leave harsh reviews and actually had good experiences with this place in the past. Today I scheduled an appointment online. Showed up for my appointment time. We sat in the lobby for about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We were told that they didnt have an appointment for us, then were told well, it wasnt confirmed and that we should have called because the system doesnt always work right. How am I supposed to know that? We were then told we can probably fit you in, but you wont be able to pick your car up until 7. Its not fitting someone in when they scheduled an appointment. We went ahead and left. Well buy tires somewhere else.

Worst experience I have ever had. We set up an appointment for 9:00am to have 4 tires changed on our work truck and informed them we needed an early apt time to ensure we could get on the road to Mississippi for work ASAP. We were told, no problem they could get us taken care of in an hour maybe hour and a half. We drop the truck off and an hour later get a call from the workers saying, they are mounting the tires now and will be finished momentarily. I followed my husband to the shop and we were sitting in my car as the call came in watching the work truck not being worked on as this call was made. We both sat in the car for another 20 minutes while no one touched the truck. My husband goes inside to see what the delay is and the worker and the front desk guy are talking. They talk for another 20 minutes and still, no one has worked on the truck. I am outside watching as no one has now touched the truck or tires for the past 40 minutes after the phone call came in saying they were finishing up and my husband is inside watching them chit chat. One of the workers makes and excuse and jokes to my husband that they are trying to hurry because the worker knows he needs to get on the road for work. I am still outside watching as NO ONE touches the truck or the tires for the truck for the next HOUR. It has now been 2 hours and finally a workers starts to prep the tires.. it takes the worker another 30 minutes before he gets the tires on the truck and the truck off the lift and my husband is then forced to wait 15 extra minutes while the front desk worker helps everyone in the lobby before handing my husband his keys when we have been waiting almost 3 hours when we were assured MULTIPLE times it would only take an hour and a half. We were even called saying, we are finishing up now while my husband and I witnessed NO ONE working on the truck or the tires. I filled out a survey asking for management to reach out to me and no one has called or emailed me back.

I scheduled appointment for at 8am for an oil change and I am still waiting and its been 2hrs and 40 mins. I dont understand why the manager at this location keeps pushing my vehicle behind others, lts funny to watch him making promising to customers as they come in telling them he can squeeze them in. When reality, you cant even service an oil change that was on the schedule, and I showed up 30 mins prior to appointment to make sure had enough to time to check in with the customer service reps... I would highly suggest to clients like myself that have an expectations for time, to use other businesses for oil changes. This location for firestone is awful when it comes this particularly service. I have personally used many other firestone locations, and they have been way better with customers time and way better wity communications with customers.

Terrible experience, I put an appointment at 6:00 pm to get wheels alignment for my car, they contact me next day to tell me the appointment time was until 5:00 pm, I told to them I will arrive later of 5:00 due to the hard traffic. I arrive at 5:25pm and they refuse to treat me. I rescheduled the appointment for the next day at 5:00, I arrive at 5:10 pm, I was waiting in the lobby after 10 minutes waiting the employee told me I need reschedule the appointment again. It has been the worst experience I have ever had to get a services for my car.

Bunch of liers here. I went in to get alternator replaced, and they rambled about a bunch of other parts I needed. After replacing alternator, my belt snaps a mile down the road. This is odd. Nothing was wrong with my belt before... Firestone agrees to replace the belt, but urges me to replace other parts in car going bad. I take it to a different car shop after losing trust with Firestone, the only thing thats bad in my car is the belt that Firestone replaced. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

My 10 year old was excited to ride his go kart but it had old tires and I was having such a hard time with them so I resorted to the pros at Firestone. Not sure if they even would do that kind of thing I called and they said to bring it by and they could take a look at it. It was such a pleasant experience and they were so welcoming and kind. I would highly recommend them and they have earned a lifetime customer. Thank you Firestone!

I am a mechanic, let me start off right there. Heavy wheel diesel mechanic for 10 years in the military. I had my techie husband drop my van off to get an oil change and a tire patched. The damage to the tire was approximately 1.5 inches into the tread (a nail), I had carefully gone over this as my warranty would have covered it had it been sidewall damage. 2 hours later husband gets a call that it is in fact sidewall damage and they would replace it for $229 with a lower grade tire. Nope. Told husband to tell them wed make a warranty claim and they all sorts of started back tracking. When we arrived to pick the vehicle up it now CLEARLY has unmistakable sidewall damage. Driving it 10 ish miles there we only lost 6lbs of pressure, they filled it for us and by the time we started the van it was down to only 5 PSI total. So new visible damage, no longer holding any air. I have no proof that it was intentional and legally can not slander, but if you want to put two and two together be my guest.

These people are very unethical. I went there to patch a tire and thei told me that hey were not able to patch it because the air was coming out from the side.I paid over $150 for a tire. A few weeks later my wife went there to patch a tire and they told her that they couldnt fix because the air was coming out from the side and they also advised her to get all 3 tires for over $800.This time we did not fall for this trick and went to another place that found a hole in the middle of the tire and fixed it for $20. (Did Firestone made a mistake in the diagnosis twice?) I leave it up to you to decide.I received simillar feedback about this place from other people I know. Just be careful.

This location is very conveniently located and the service there has always been good. They have reasonable prices for items that you need done and well they will recommend things that they think may be needed for your vehicle they are not at all pushy about if you decline those items and they dont recommend things that are unnecessary. They also seem to show the same level of care and respect regardless of the gender of the person who is bringing in their car which is great to see as some shops can be condescending when a woman comes in alone

I pulled up with my vehicle and they had six bays in use and all the doors open, but only two mechanics actually working and I pulled up for an inspection and the manager inside said that he only has one guy and wasnt going to be able to get to it today. This place is so mismanaged its not even funny and the lack of customer service is great in not being there. I highly suggest finding another place to take your business

Dropped off my vehicle around 11am and was told it would be done by close at 7pm. I heard nothing so I called around 5:45pm and was told it would not be done until sometime the next day. I have work in the morning. At what point did they know they wouldnt be able to complete an oil change in 8 hours? I would have appreciated a little professional communication so I could plan accordingly.

When I changed my oil and rotated my tires at Precision Tune Auto Care on 183 in Leander a few weeks ago, they told me I needed a new axle seal on the transmission, and also told me somebody had stripped one of the studs on my tire so he couldnt get the lug nut back on. As a poor UT grad student, I decided to get a second opinion and today took it to Firestone in Leander. Glad I did.I explained my situation to Rick, the service manager who greeted me warmly when I walked in the door. He told me theyd do a complimentary diagnostic test on the car (and not just on the two problems I had mentioned) and wed go from there. He said there would be no pressure to fix anything once the test was finished. He had the car brought in shortly after I arrived.In the end they found no problems with the transmission axle seals (shame on you Precision Tune Auto Care), and they were able to fix the stud and lug nut so that I didnt have to replace them. They also noticed my indicator lights were out on my front right blinker and replaced them. So I was obviously ecstatic when they told me all the great news (they saved me the $250 I was quoted at Precision Tune Auto Care!), but was still prepared to pay a bit of money for fixing the stud and replacing the indicator lights. Nope. They didnt charge me a dime and just told me to keep them in mind next time I needed help with my car. With service this good, I obviously will keep them in mind!

Went in for a tire change, the person who assisted me was very helpful. She did everything she could to get me the right price and search if I qualified for any discounts. She didnt try to hard sell me on an expensive brand, she gave me my options and we went with the cheaper one. They completed the work in a very fast and speedy time. I used to hate Firestone but this location has restored my faith, I plan on going back.

Ive had some work done here but I honestly wish I hadnt. Everything is very overpriced and I have found other places that do everything for a literal fraction of the cost. I paid them to do a tire rotation and it seems like thats literally what they did... Rotate or spin my tires. there was a nick in the front right tire that was still there after they promised me that they swapped the tires from front to back and vice versa. I had a water pump go out in my vehicle and needed to get it fixed and called them and they told me it would be about 600 and then I took it to a place and got it done for 200 and it only took a few hours... when Ive gone there before I left specific instructions and asked them not to do certain things and when Ive come out or have been sitting there Ive seen them doing the things that I specifically asked not to be done... Workers are usually friendly but not always. Should probably also mention that I had one issue that they wanted like $200 for that my father and I did ourselves to save me some money and it only cost us $50 and took about an hour and that was while we were sipping beers. So... Yeah.

I like this place because they tell you what is wrong with your car, but I have to give only three stars because they charge a lot for changing ball joints, I am sure is not an easy job as I am doing the job. We are here to make some money but lets not overcharge. But I am sure is easy for lots of people to take their car or truck for an oil change or buying tires. I recommend this place for lots of things, but I have learned to do some myself. But please enjoy this place.

Worst experience here, I had waited there for more than 2:30hrs for them to just check the issue quickly. They charged me $65 for 10 point inspection which very costly (most of the checks I did not ask for) and gave an estimate of $750 to replace radiator. I finally towed my vehicle from there and got it fixed from local dealer near my house and they charged me $400.I know the issue and explained to them what exactly happened, radiator neck opened up due to overheat as coolant level was very low.Their service and cost is very high and cant afford. Better to stay away from this.

I blew a tire on the interstate and destroyed it driving out of traffic. I chose Firestone because they were open on Sunday and I was sure I had damaged the rim. They helped me quickly, checked all the wheels and sold me a new tire at a reasonable price. No rim damage. I was alone in an unfamiliar city and they treated me well.

Got the distinct feeling that the guy at the counter was only interested in getting the most money out of me rather than listen. Immediately wanted me to pay for $100 ABS inspection rather than do the free brake inspection, even though I told him that Im really hard on brake pads (job related stop and go). I went somewhere else and sure enough, my pads were worn through and needed replaced and that was all.

I had an oil change done. I also had a complete vehicle inspection that included a tire rotation. Before they did it I marked every tire FD, FP, RD, RP. Front driver, front passenger, rear driver, rear passenger. When I showed up I checked the rims. Firestone employee told me the amount. I asked if they rotated the tires he said yes. I then said ask tech if he rotated tires he said yes. I showed them the marking on the rims that I had labeled tech started to back track saying I dont remember if I did. I must have forgot to do it I was busy. They also game me a big list of things that they recommend I get repaired. This is why I paid for inspection, so I can fix whatever is wrong with my car. I was told I needed new tires the tires are 5 months old. Control arms, bushing and tie rods was told told to get repaired. Those parts were repaired 9 months ago. I was told I needed brakes which were done 2 weeks earlier. All of these repairs had been done at another national chain.They however did tell me I needed to replace my u joint which I did somewhere else. The 1 good thing is they didnt charge me for the complete vechile inspection, but now Im wondering if they even did the oil change or just said they did. Go somewhere else!

After looking at my bill and researching the part they used, I found it to retail online at numerous places for 275$ less than what they charged me. The store manager assured me that he was paying 285$ for the part and the suggested retail was 427$. The price at Advanced Auto Parts store is 285$ for the exact part they used. Theres no way theyre paying list for parts. The part number is 515097 wheel hub assembly, look it up yourself. I was charged 435.99$ each! Im all about fair and reasonable, not cheap in the least. However marking a part up darn near 300% is theft.Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to get your car repaired. They get a star for being friendly. Thats the least they could do after the screwing I got.

Great customer service, had been dealing with discount tire not getting my tires properly balanced and after letting them balance my tires 4 times! and still not getting it right I gave these guys a shot. Im glad I did, they were busy but Joe squeezed me in and first try they balanced my tires correctly and were very knowledgeable and made me feel like a valued customer. Firestone has earned my future buisness when it comes to tires from now on.

I was reluctant to return here after I fixed their “diagnosed” AC compressor failure job they quoted at approx $2000 with a $200 recharge down the street. But I figured, how could you possibly screw up changing a starter motor held on with three bolts? Well, never underestimate incompetence. They snapped off one bolt which had just been installed gingerly with a 1/4 ratchets by a seasoned competent fabricator. So now I’m running a Baja truck with the starter barely hanging on by 2 bolts. Awesome

Would give 0 stars if I could .My car broke down a week ago, we changed the fuel pump and fuel pump relay and it worked again . Within another week of it running perfectly, it broke down again and my relay was already burnt and it wouldn’t start again . I had it towed to the Leander firestone and when I went in and talked to Sam, he asked me what was wrong with the car, I tried to explain about it breaking down last week, he cut me off and said “I just need to know why it’s like not working “ IF I KNEW EXACTLY WHY I WOULDNT BE THERE . So I left after signing a paper and all that . He called me a few hours later and said it was my fuel pump . I told him that I really doubt it because mine was brand new, has been working fine, and we changed the relay . He said “well that information would of been nice to know so I could of told the mechanic “ so I told him “ I already tried to tell you when I went up there “ so he said he would talk to the mechanic more about it and call me back . We think it’s a wiring issue due to the relay getting too much energy causing It to burn . He called me back said that the fuel pump doesn’t look like it’s been changed at all except for the fuel sensor and that they checked the wiring and everything is 12 volts and they couldn’t find anything else wrong . Notice, they still haven’t said ANYTHING about the fuel pump relay . They said to get a new fuel pump it would be almost 800$ . The fuel pump I got for my car was 200$ . That wasn’t including the fuel pump relay which is a big fire hazard if it’s melting and burning (my fuse box is under my rear seats ) and could cause a fire . They completely refused to even acknowledge the fuel pump relay and they never even checked it . So my boyfriends mother and her friend (which is a mechanic) went up there to see what kind of BS they were trying to pull . The guy Sam refused to look up the fuel pump relay /fuel pump in the system and they got called out on their BS and now we are not being charged for the 100$ “diagnostic test” that they did and we are getting my car towed to a better, honest, cheaper place . I will never go here again. It’s obvious they don’t know what they are talking about and are not professional.

If I did not perform service on my vehicle, I would definitely take it here based on the level of service that I received.

I had a horrible experience at this location this morning. I have been trusting Firestone with my car since I was old enough to drive.I went to Firestone with a known leak in my front passenger tire. I know the location of the leak and everything. My front tires had Road hazzard warranty. They said it would be about an hour. I went to McDonalds next door to wait it out. After an hour I returned to Firestone to find that they had removed all of my tires and claimed the leaking tire was off the rear of my car. I hadnt asked them to screw with any part of my car. however they did. So anyhow I paid $20 for the patch job that should have been covered by my warranty. The when I drove away I found that since my car had been performed upon it had developed a shimmy and pulls to the right. Both problems didnt exist until they took all the tires off my car without permission. Also it took over two hours to MESS my car up. VERY VERY UNHAPPY😤

I came here to have my rear brakes checked as they were making this horrible squeaking sound. Firestone told me they were in great shape and didn’t need to be changed. I was told that they still had, “70% life left.” They then charged me around $50 to have the brakes cleaned so that they would stop squeaking. Here I am roughly 3 weeks later and not only did my brakes NEVER stop making that awful noise, but turns out they’re so worn down that I now have metal grinding against metal. I found this out AFTER taking my newborn son home from the hospital in this vehicle that was extremely unsafe. So disappointed. If I had any trust in the guys here, I would have brought it back and demanded they fix them for free. Never using Firestone again.

Since Firestone Complete Auto Care opened in Leander, we have been delighted with the great work, honest and friendly staff. I have the utmost confidence that Firestone has my back! The Manager, Mike Hurt, is very friendly, along with Joe, Scotty, and Missy, to name a few lol. I feel like Im at home when Im waiting on my vehicle. Turned a potentially bad situation to good. I needed a couple of tires and set appointment for Sunday morning. When I get there I find out there was a mix up and they dont have the right size. Not good since I needed the tires to pass inspection and register before the end of the month. No other stores or the warehouse had the right size. Needless to say I was pretty upset but they made it right by ordering a set of the right size and had them shipped overnight. Called me to let me know they had arrived and had me in and out in about an hour. That level of service has earned my business.

Hard to understand why every time I get work on my tires a TPMS sensor goes and then they want to charge me to replace it. How the hell do you go into a place, get 4 new tires, go home and the TPMS light goes on, and then you take it back and they want to charge you $219 to replace a sensor in one tire. Twice as much as they charged me for the first one. That one was after I brought it in to fix a flat. Once again, no error light before. Awfully damn shady if you ask me. Last time for me. Thanks.

Took my car couple days ago for an inspection and they told me it failed because of my front tires are bad and unsafe......... Although my tires in a good shape and not a safety issue. Next day took it somewhere else and it passed no issues.They are Dishonest and trying to sell me inorder for my car to pass inspection, will never go there again!

Went there because I had a nail in my tire on the way home from work. I usually got to discount tire but they closed at 6. It was 630pm and the guys wouldnt take my car for a simply patch. They only had 4 cars in their bay. They are lazy employees and cant even help out a women that was in a bad situation. Discount tire would never do that to me.

I made an appointment for 5pm on a Saturday to do a wheel alignment. I walked in at 430 and told them I had an appointment at 5. They said it was too late to do an alignment... They said “you can leave it here, but we won’t be able to do it until tomorrow.” Considering I made an appointment, that is just unacceptable. A big part of my Saturday revolved around me getting to my appointment at 5 only for them to tell me they wouldn’t do it.

Scenario- You take your car in for tire work(any kind) you get call stating they found cracked tire pressure sensor,they cant tell you which tire,will assure you that there may have been no symptoms but it needs replacing.They will be unable to produce said bad part and unable to show you a crack if original part is still on car.If you have ever paid for a cracked tire pressure sensor(100 a pop) at this location,you probably got ripped off. Its their go to con to keep their dollar average up.

They are a expensive but do good work. I used then to do a pre-purchase inspection and they missed ALOT! They benefited from my losses. They did all they could to make it right by giving me a break on the second round of need repairs. I wouldnt use them for pre-purchase vehicle inspections!

I went into this location for a 70$ brake service special. I ended up being quoted almost 600$ for the rear drums and caliper which was too high in my estimation. The manager didnt want to work with me on the quote. He did call me back and I asked to speak with the Senior Manager. He assured me he would call me right back. Never did. Ive spent over 10K at firestone in the last 4 years or so and have a Firestone line of credit as well which I will be cancelling. Im not worth it to them I guess to get a phone call back.
