Quality of vegetables is pathetic. It is not surprising to see ready to rot produce displayed to sell at premium prices. Staff also seem to be not interested in rescuing the situation or satisfying customers. I see staff chatting and handling payment transactions slowly taking their own sweet time though there is a queue.Also prices are not displayed all the time against the produce. Overall quite bad in everything but unfortunately this is the only Indian grocery store for Leander.

DB Kitchen - ReviewWe ordered food here for a small party, butter chicken they catered had rock sold chicken pieces. Seemed like old meat or whatever. Ruined our party.They used to be much better. Hoping, this is just a one off incident.

Some of the products on shelf had expired 4 months ago! Do check the dates before buying. The shop is conveniently located on Ronald Reagan Blvd, not easily visible from main road. Parking options are limited, might be especially tricky over weekends. Options are sufficient/limited, unlike other bigger stores. You can buy food & chats, havent tried it - no option to sit & eat though. Now has a meat store next to it as well...

The store is very great. I visited during my trip to Austin. They are maintaining wide variety of food brands and very clean across the store. Prices are too low. After shopping had snacks like Papdi Chat and Manchuriya which were very very yummy. Staff is very responsive and owners also making sure customer is getting the item what he is looking for... I strongly recommend .Happy to revisit in my next trip.

New joint, like their snacks/grocery.Catering is good too. Of course they still have work to do, in quality/variety improvisation. In any case, glad they are there. Will continue to shop there.

Rotten, spoiled, and food smells.Order 10 samosas and paneer 555.Curry inside samosa is spoiled and paneer doesnt even taste like paneer it is tofu.Paneer 555 is $8.99 with a smaller container. When I saw I thought this is Nothing and I asked their it self for the quantity, wow thats all, they she replied I dont know about the quantity I was like what to do and left, but after eating first 2 bytes it was too much sweet and spicy couldnt even eat more than 2 bytes and it went to trash.Samosa, they warmed up again so when you eat hot it doesnt smell, by the time when I opened it was cool and curry smells, couldnt even take to mouth. Everything is trashed and my $32 is gone for nothing.

Not a good experience..taken order twice for flowers but not able to provide them on time..Even the food ordered have different items..poor handling and management

This place is awesome. They have a great selection of frozen and fresh veggies as well as any type of spices you could need. Everything was meticulously clean and organized. Will definitely be back as they have fresh ingredients the local Texas chains typically lack.

Worst food quality, ordered boneless biryani smelled like 2days old, spoiled already . they just heated and packed it . and their Gobi 65 has no words to explain .. they cooked Gobi curry in tamoto sause.. worse experience . please avoid food here . we have to complain this kind of restaurants to food safety department.

Love this store. They have an excellent and friendly staff that is always courteous and helpful. The prices are reasonable and the owners are always receptive to feedback to continue improving and for bringing on new items to meet the needs of the Indian community living nearby.

Excellent! Got the Chicken Biryani, 2 Veg Biryani and Chicken appetizers it tasted just perfect..Its rare you find very good veg food and this place has excellent veg and non veg appetizers and biryani.Ambience was good and service was top class. Will visit again for sure.

Kitchen: Initially they were maintaining quality in the good. But after few months, it became worse.We ordered chicken dum biryani, it smelled as if its 2 days old food, immediately after opening the lid.Then later, we ordered the ulavacharu and gogngura chicken biryani, this sucked taste wise. Initially they were good. Not its worse.Update:Tried our luck in veg/tiffins. Look at the photos. They didn’t fry poori at all. It is so thick . No words. Absolute junk place

It is relatively new Indian grocery store on Ronald Reagan blvd. Not much selection in terms of Indian grocery but may serve purpose. It has small restaurant attached to it. It serves good chaats, dosas, biryani, some curries.Ample parking safe neighborhood. Suggested to use google map as you might miss it if doing fast on Ronald Reagan blvd. Nearby shops include Marcos pizza

Reasonable prices with a friendly owner. They are very responsive and the ambiance of the store is calming and familial. The location is great as it is close by, and they also have a good selection of Indian groceries. We can definitely recommend DB World Foods.

Their food too good. Samosa s are our favorite. They even customize the menu for party order. For Indian grocery we visit this place every week too. The owner is very modest takes feedback, price correction and demands if any very seriously and promptly.

Vegetables are never fresh. Very disappointed with food sold in restaurant. We tried multiple times and were never happy.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food at DB world. Tasty food = delicious, samosa is must try. The staff at DB is very courteous and helped us with food choices .Our experience of in person eating and delivery was very satisfying . Highly recommend for great homely food . While I have been forcing myself to not be negative, after todays order I was left with no option but to be honest about the experience. Ordered gongura chicken curry which was the worst ever ... it was sour at a different level and so salty that even a lick to taste left you salty, felt like pickle curry ... had to throw the whole order away. Doesnt look like the owners really care about the feedback nor care about consistency. It is common sense to taste before serving to ensure its edible. The same dish has been tasting differently every time, the worst being today. Good bye to this place!!!!------- Original review ---------This is soon turning out to be a friendly neighborhood store. So glad that they started the kitchen operations and have consitently tried here multiple times. While they have missed the mark a few times we understand that consitency is hard while you are just starting up. That said, my comments are directed towards the owners, I have tried family packs biryani 4 times, during the week and Fridays. Fridays take out have been dissapointed as it has been dry, cold and less meat. MId-week take outs ensures it hits the right flavor, moist long rice grains and quantity to forces you to go back for the weekend purchase only to rethink you decision. Like some one else mentioned above, gongura chicken is your best biryani and is on par with biryani that I have tried in other surrounding restaurants. Yesterday tried goat peppper fry, totally felt let down. No salt, the 4 out of the 6-7 pieces had no meat, but just hard fat and bone. The meat on the other ones were just so tought that we gave up. But by far Chilli chicken and Biryani are the best, hope you can work on consistency!-

Cedar Park area has more flavor! The place is very clean, the products are well displayed, wonderful variety and such a friendly staff.The owners are so kind and humble - open door policy! We were introduced to them by a very friendly customer that we met along the aisle. I felt so welcomed!We came home with so much wonderful and unique products. 💞 I absolutely loved the experience... Very good store.

Selling expired wheat flour. To get the exchange I had to spend 15 minutes on phone and 15 minutes at store. Most of the 20 lb packs are either expired or close to be. Flat breads where not soft and not tasty due to the fact. Watch out!

Clean and bright and easy to find products

DB world foods visit was memorable for me. The store was clean and more than 5000 items to explore. We will be visiting often so I can try all their mouth watering menue items and fresh sugar can juice.

Food was below average. Restrooms were dirty, no toilet paper, no soap, no hand sanitizer, and door wouldn’t close.

Great prices and quality items. Restaurant food was amazing and excellent customer service. Owners are very nice, courteous and welcome feedback to improve their store.

Must try the gongura chicken biryani - by far the best biryani in Austin at the moment

The reasons for giving a poor rating are as below:1. Most of their stuff do not have price stickers / labels. They purposely leave it to your guess. Probably this has something to do with most of their items being somewhat overpriced compared to Halaal / Desi Brothers / Manpasand.2. Most of their veggies are often stale and overpriced.3. Customer service is pretty unimpressive. While they not rude by any means, they seem to have a no smile policy. Once I pointed out that the food colors in their shelves are past expiry date. All the lady did was to nod. No apologies, no removing them from the shelves, and most probably they still carry those on their shelves.I visit this place ONLY because it is close to my home, and hence convenient. But shopping at this place is not a good experience at all

When prices change they dont change the existing price tags. Moreover most items dont seem to have price tags. Prices are higher than manpasand grocery store. Its a small store. Not impressed.

Due to Corona, tried to avoid in store purchase. Tried this place multiple times for home delivery of groceries, one time for food.Not happy with both.Vegetables were not fresh each time. Or they would get fungus soon(in few days) even in the fridge. Worst you get rotten stuff too. It shows no quality control. As it is new store, i thought of giving feedback. Lip service only, no change in future deliveries.Regarding food quality: first order, found a hair, malai kofta wasnt tasty, and tandoori roti was poor.Two star for convince i received for home delivery.

There was an issue but management promptly contacted and plan to resolve it soon. As soon as they implement the resolution like price tags etc, I will be happy to increase the stars.

DB has started Indian food catering recently. We ordered food for one of our event. The food was tasty and delicious. It was also at a reasonable price. Tindi fry, poornalu, Alasandala vada were all at its best. They were very punctual as well.Food was ready on time on the day of the event.

Vegetables and products are top notch and such a variety of produce with reasonable price.This place has almost everything you would want from an Indian store-spices, frozen food, veggies, sweets and snacks. Ok, I’m a white guy, but I lived in England for 7 years, so I have some experience. This is the best curry I have had in Austin, and I’ve tried a lot of places.

I regularly get groceries for this store and always come out with what I am looking for. People in the store are very friendly and help whenever needed. Even food in the restaurant is very fresh and tasty.

Absolutely the best Indian Grocery Store in the surrounding areas. Always the best experience when shopping here. Amazing customer service and food! Well stocked with products. No need to go to other grocery stores for food items. If you put in a request for a product not in store they will go above and beyond to get it for you. Clean, organized, and just simply amazing.

Worst experience ever. After hearing good reviews about their food, went ahead and ordered chicken biryani and goat biryani for our out of town guests. Had to wait 1.5 hrs to pick up the food in the store. When questioned about the delay they mentioned that the biryani was overcooked and making the biryani from scratch again. To our horror it was just colored SALTY rice with very few tasteless pieces. There was no flavor and had to throw away the food. I have called them the next day to bring it to their attention and ofcourse they dint even acknowledge it. The owner could have told us that they are running out of food and let us go but he decided to screw our dinner with my guests.

Amazing store with all the Asian groceries, fresh produce and all varieties of pooja items. Friendly owners and the store is well organized. kitchen food is delicious with multiple options. Would definitely recommend visiting the store!!!

Great local market if you arent looking to make a trip to HEB. They have some great options and the items always give us new ideas on what we should try to make next.

Wow food I loved the taste of the food

Been here a couple times, seems to have all the stuff youd expect in an Indian grocery store. Variety of payment options accepted and they have great hours, and obviously extremely convenient location wise.I need to check if the food store opened too, supposedly theres like a in house restaurant there too.

Great selection of grocery and food items from South Asia, however the prices are miss labeled on many items and few were not even with price tags. Had to go to the register to check pricing on the items. The place has great potential to capture the south Asian market.

I tried their Idly for breakfast. It was amazing! It came with 2 different sauces. If you want a healthy delicious breakfast, I highly recommend you try! Very clean store as well.

They dont know the difference between curbside and togo. They said yes to curbside on the phone but said no once I reached the store.Have you ever heard of a dosa or vada or samosa with no chutney!!!Such little sambar after asking for extra sambar.
