Best LGS (local game store) in the Kansas City area. Great selection from MTG, Pokemon, YuGiOh, DnD and plenty of more obscure games and board games alike. Lots of events with decent prize promotions. Very kid friendly too! You really cant ask for a better table top gaming spot.

Used to love this place but I won’t support any business the supports the socialist agenda by requiring you to show a vac card to not where a mask. When I live in an area where there are no mask mandates

Great place over all but I payed 6 dollars for Pokémon and another 6 dollars for sleeves .I could go to my nearest store and get the packs for 4-5 dollars same for the sleeves I will be back but just needed that to be on others mind.

This is the beat card place in Kansas that I know!!!! It’s can grade your cards for free!!! And they every card you can think of!!

Very awesome place! I met a ton of great people here to play magic the gathering and I really enjoy the workers and prices. They also host tournaments and dnd which is a blast, I actually am a forever DM so I love places like this (Sorry I look like a gremlin in these photos I promise I’m cute) but yeah! I’d definitely work here 10/10 big nerd energy.

Please Read -3% fees are just the beginning!I took my son to Gators on Saturday night after work.Stick with me as I write this review because I will cover ups and downs.The store was buzzing in the front with tables with teenagers mostly playing organized tournament or organized featured game nights. This was very pleasant and came across as very promising. I loved seeing a store providing an extended service such as this. It benefited both community and owner.Upon further entering the building we made our way into the gaming section. The selection was meager but did cover some ground. They generally had only one copy of each selection. Their prices were higher than other places but we knew that going in. We were primarily looking for board games. My son (17) found games he had been looking for and a few new ones.We truly looked the place over. Our view lasted truly almost an hour prior to my son selecting. He made a selection of two games. Again the prices were higher. When I say higher I mean one game was $15.00 higher than Amazon. I being all about supporting small business and our home town was willing to forgo the price difference thou I have to say that was huge. We have taught our children the difference about large corporations taking over the small retailers. In this respect money is not always the answer...We go to the register to pay for our purchase. My son prepares to pay. After he was told the total, he handed the cashier a Visa gift card. The cashier tells us that if he uses this card he will be charged 3% by the credit card company for use. He then states the credit card just started this practice a couple weeks ago. They dont know why but still it is a fee my son will incur. So I hand him my Visa. He then back peddles and says if we use any credit card it will be 3%.I flatly tell him I know this is not the credit company charging us (the customer) 3%, it is the merchant fee for using credit cards. They are passing the cost on to the customers. I suppose it would be fine if they were truthful with the customers!I was furious. They are lying to their customers and the majority are young without the knowledge of how these fees work. I feel this should be something they should have to post if they should feel the need to do so.If you buy something at this store I implore you to get a receipt.I also suggest to shop around for two reasons.One as I said I am not a big business person but you will find it cheaper.Two Kansas Law:16a-2-403. Prohibiting surcharge on credit or debit cards. The owner of Gators came in to follow up with me on my review. She was very kind and pleasant. She addressed the charge of 3% to customers directly and assured me that it had been rectified. I felt I needed to let everyone know.This is very important to address because this business is providing a safe place for our young to go and engage their minds. Socialize without the use of electronics and with the supervision of adults is being provided at no charge. You may want to look into this for your teenage children or yourself!I feel much better about knowing this was handled and the owner was actually thanked me for alerting her a situation as a new and young owner.

Great staff. Lots of great game support items. Dice, sleeves, etc. Im not card game player but if you play Yu-Gi-Oh and deck builders this is the place for you.

Fantastic store with a great selection on all sorts of table top memerobilia the owner is nice and incredibly helpful.

Been to several other card shops lately looking to get into a new hobby. None treated me with the friendly attitude or gave me the time more than this one. Great place and friendly people.

Waited over 20 minutes to even be greated asked to buy cards said you have to buy /sell cards on the computer while one of there employees was just playing on Facebook if I wanted to use a computer I would stay at home and use tcg player or scarcity there selection is small and out of a lot of standard singles

Great store for fantasy and military gamers. Great selection of Bolt Action and Warhammer figures. Extensive selection of Yugi oh and Magic cards. They are in the process of selling all of their videos.

They are very knowledgeable about table top games with a friendly atmosphere.

Place is awesome, I come here every once in a while to do a Kaijudo Master Challenge and it has been interesting and a blast every time. This place has everything from video and card games to car insurance and porn.No seriously, their porn was literaly at the front counter last time I was there.Gators does their best to make it a one stop shop. Whether you want food, to play the latest video games, to rent a new movie, or just to hang out, they have it.Go there. Its awesome.

I went here for a GPT the other day and both the staff and play environment were fantastic. I only wish I lived closer so that I could make it a regular stop for me.

Horrible service. Insular and unwelcoming to newcomers. Went there to buy the 5th edition of Dungeons and Dragons and was accused of leafing through ALL there books when I had only opened two to see what edition they were. Was told other people buy those books. Well it was going to be me, and I may have made Gators my store to get back into the hobby so they lost a substantial bit of business from me, and they looked like they could use it.

As an MTG player, Gators video is my local store. The only place Ive played FNM over the past year and where over 90% of my sanctioned draft tourneys have been at.Prices are on the high side for packs and singles, but they do have a decent selection.The High Appeal rating is because they do have a good number of sanctioned tournaments including regular Grand Prix Trials, FNM, Saturday Night Drafts, and pickup drafts when they have 8 or more players.FNMs are $5 and standard, I think their payout is a percentage of all the entrance fees paid out to the top 4 or so players. We had 22 players recently and the top 2 got $34 each in credit (they split), 3rd got $8 and 4th got $4. $96 paid out in credit $110 taken in cash. I know some stores give out more credit than the cash they take in.Saturday night drafts are normally $10 with a rare draft at the end. Their pack prices are $3.99, so they are giving a $2 discount in pack prices.
