Clearwater designed and installed the backyard of our dreams! Everything from the pool & spa design, to the outdoor kitchen details... was more than we could have ever imagined. The owner, Jason, offered so many ideas that were insightful and helpful as we considered our options for the project... and he was involved every step of the way. Highly recommend Clearwater to anyone looking for a custom pool/backyard project.
Jason and Crystal are awesome.. we bought a home that had a Clearwater pool installed 5yrs. This was our 1st experience with our own pool and I might say we were clueless. We called Crystal to just get the total gallons for our pool so we could buy chemicals for the season. I had tons of questions being a novice and Crystal offered pool school to us to inform us about the operation of the gorgeous pool they installed years ago. That there was enough for me to drive to Leavenworth to buy the chemicals. Once we got to the store Crystal was super friendly and took the time to explain to myself and my 2 girls everything about the chemicals. The old owners left us with a broken robot cleaner and heat pump and Jason and the crew were there for us. No questions asked and fixed all issues timely. My wife loves talking crystal cause she asks about my 2 teenage girls everytime we call for some stupid question. Its awesome she remembers them from our 2st visit. We will use them for all our needs
Jason is the most experienced installer in the area. His knowledge and honestly made us feel good about the products he was recommending. He was very responsive despite being in his extremely busy season. We will use him moving forward to open and close our new pool.
Better than family leisure..
When we had our pool originally built years ago, Clearwater was great and they did an excellent job. Now, our pool needs to be torn down and rebuilt, so the owner, Jason keeps promising my family that hes going to get the job done, he already has the materials and everything we need, and we also have already agreed on a price. So now we are just sitting here waiting for him to follow through with what he promised he would do.
Dont even want to give it a star. We went in looking for a pool vaccum & received no help from either of the girls that were there. One was on the phone & the other wouldnt even get out of the chair to come help us. So we left & will never go back. Well go to Oasis pools in Lansing where they are very helpful & friendly.
WORST PLACE EVER TO HAVE A POOL INSTALLED! I wish that I could rate this business and give it NO stars at all because the owner of this business is nothing but a LIAR and the type of person that doesnt follow through with what he says hes going to do. I would NOT RECOMMEND having the owner Jason, or his so called CREW doing any pool installations for anyone. 👍
This company is a joke! They came out the first time and only opened pool halfway as they said no one was home. I was home all day. Next appointment we told them later in the afternoon and again came in the morning and said no one was home and again I was there all day. 3rd time we thought might be the charm as we were going to be out of town so we made an appointment for 3pm for our daughter to be there. At 3pm we still hadn’t heard from our daughter so we called them and they said they never would of given us a time that they again came in the morning. I’m disabled and my husband works days. They couldn’t make an appointment to come after 4pm when he was home and the accommodations were way below satisfactory. So needless to say we won’t be using their services again and have gone on to a much better place!
They say theyve been in business for 20 years. Jason says hes been in this business for 32 years. For the life of me, I dont know how. They agreed to do a job for me mucking out my leaf filled pool (our new winter cover split and all leaves fell in). $450 was agreed upon price. They sent two young guys who, through evidence of their work, either had no interest in doing the job or no experience/training.This was two weeks ago. After three or more phone calls complaining of the unsatisfactory work performed so far, I was referred to the owner, Jason, who promised to make it right although did no apologizing for the hassle up to that point. We met and formulated a plan to get my pool up and running. He gave me a short list of what to do to prepare for his team, which I did. This was on Friday. His crew was to show up on Monday. Its now Wed. end of day and Ive seen no one.During our Friday meeting he badmouthed competitors and acted like and said that he had a come to Jesus meeting with the two who had done such an inept job so far. Remember he said he wanted to make it right. Not only is it not right....nothing has been done.My husband also owns his own business. I cant tell you how many times he has stayed late or gone back the next day or more to finish a job that throws him curveballs. He realizes that his customers are his companys lifeblood. Being a remodeler, sometimes getting into the project reveals issues unknown before the job was initiated. That just goes with the territory. You keep your promises, do the job how and when you say you will. Period.Seriously. Do not engage in business with this terrible company. Take my word as I have only written one other negative review in my life. It takes a lot to anger me enough to potentially harm a business through posting a bad review. But I feel more of a responsibility to fellow consumers at this point.Aside from terrible business ethics, I don’t know how they sleep at night.
This company has always treated us like family and never took advantage of our pool ignorance in being new pool owners. I have had to call them multiple times when I couldnt get my levels right and they have always been there to help.
Clearwater Pools builds amazing custom pools. These types of projects take time and patience. I could not be more pleased with the design and reshaping of my back yard by Jason and his skilled staff. If you are considering a pool, I recommend consulting Jason at Clearwater Pools.I see posts with negative comments about service. People need to remember that a pool does take some knowledge and maintenance know how. If you take the time to learn up front, it is not difficult.
Clearwater pools is an amazing pool building place and now they do not have attic spas or Colman spas and the guy who said Clearwater pools was a whole bunch of pot heads was a old worker and he was fired for stealing money and do no believe him. The only reason they do not call back soon is because they are really busy! People have absolutely no patience.
Jason and his team built us a custom pool in 2018. Overall, the quality of work was excellent and the pricing was very fair.CONSTRUCTION: The pool was built right. All the stuff you dont see in the end was done well: earthwork, foundations, fill, rebar, piping. The liner was a perfect, smooth fit. We had custom concrete stamping and coloring, a water feature, and they even built our fence. Everything was done well! Since its a new pool, Ill be sure to update this post in the future if we have problems, but I doubt we will.PRICING: I was surprised when I shopped around, Jasons pricing is very affordable. Also, some contractors make their money on change orders. Im happy to say there were no surprises. We were charged just as our contract read, and when we even added a few extras (cover, water feature, gas heater, fence) the pricing was transparent and fair.SCHEDULE/COMMUNICATION: It looks like this is the biggest issue from other reviews. Heres the thing, these guys are busy! they have a back log because theyre good! Ill admit that Jason was a bit hard to get in touch with before our construction started. BUT, once they started, communication was fine! Its obvious they focus on their current projects. Just remember they are a small company, they dont have a sales department or customer service department. Youre talking directly with the owner, so give him a break! If you dont hear back just bug him, I dont think he minds. As far as schedule, he told us in January he though he could start in June. He ended up starting in July. He estimated our total construction time would be 3-4 weeks. It ended up being 6 weeks. Thats not that bad, especially since we added some extras! If you want the absolute most professional, responsive pool builder, maybe you need to call one of the big companies and pay more for a cookie cutter pool. For me, Jason and Clearwater were the best value. We have an awesome, custom pool, that was pretty affordable. Im happy we hired them!
Began working with this vendor in August 2017 to schedule a pool install for 2018. Was told in the spring was not a problem. Spring came and went. Asked for drawings for 4 months to get HOA approval- never got drawings. Was told drawings were done and they just needed to e-mail them... that was in May. Have not heard back from them since June. My wife used to text weekly to ask for an update, but only ever got Ill call you tomorrow, and eventually responses stopped coming completely. completely unprofessional. If you cant do the work, just say so. Weve since contacted another local vendor and work begins next week. Less than a month after we called!
We used to buy 100% of our pool and hot supplies here. That was until we needed a technician to come to our home to help with a problem. We were told Oskaloosa is too far for us to go. Really? I bet you go 28 miles into Kansas City for calls. They lost our business.
Drivers are not professional at all. They were break checking us while we are driving a semi with a heavy load and when we pulled over the driver and passenger flipped us off. They got off the highway just to get right back in behind us. Just very unprofessional and disappointing for the owners of the company.
Weve had them close our pool for 3 years now. Never an issue. They show up when they said they would and do what they said they would. Always very polite and professional.
As a fellow pool builder in Kansas City region, if we cant meet a customers timeframe due to our schedule builds Jason Seeler and his crew at Clearwater is one of the few pool builders I will recommend. There are a lot of pool builders in the Kansas City region but very few with good design vision and quality staff that know how to implement it. Wade wasinger, owner Heartlandpool and Spa Service Inc
Gabe was awesome we love are new liner hard working people excellent experience
Good counter knowledge, fair pricing on material, had all the parts I required.
Very friendly staff with great prices!
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any business in my entire life. You schedule an appointment and they dont show up. They tell you they will call you back and they never call back.
Amazing customer service!! Always willing to help!
The single most unprofessional businesses I have ever seen in my life. Staffed by high school children and pot heads. If you place a call for service, your call will be answered by Nikki, an 18 year old who may or may not remember to schedule you for a visit by her boyfriend Chad. If she does remember, you can expect Chad to show up, walk around your pool for 15 minutes, strew trash and cigarette butts about your property, and then leave. Your problem will likely not be resolved, but you will be billed for the full hour, to the tune of $85 plus the cost of parts. If you call or visit to complain, you will again get to speak with Nikki, who shockingly isnt inclined to tell Jason (the owner) about what her boyfriend did. Jason will not speak with you, as he prefers to hide behind the teenagers who live in the apartment above his business. Honestly, Ive seen better business models on the side of the road in Iraq. It is utterly absurd, and to be expected of an organization with an F rating and multiple unresolved complaints from the BBB. I recommend Oasis Pools.
They will keep telling you theyll be there tomorrow but they never show up. I gave up and made other arrangements.
These guys do not stand behind their products! They do not service stuff like they say and rip folks off. DO NOT BUY from them.I got a hot tub from them in the first year it was fixed 9 times for leaks then the inner shell cracked and eventually broke. 3 years later I am still waiting on them to fix it. The will not even call me back now. The tub had a 10 year warranty I have not been able to use at all now for 4 years. These guys are worthless
Does awesome jobs!
Ive been using Clearwater for 4 or 5 years now and while weve had some issues theyve always come through.
Great group of people
Horrible customer service, dishonest, poor job quality!
