I pulled in right at closing time, I never heard a complaint or grumble. The gentleman (only known as MP) was just as polite and courteous as could be. They preformed the service in a quick timely manner and I was on my way. 15-20 minutes at the most. Great service. Thank You Gentlemen

Absolutely amazing experience! We were traveling home to visit family and had transmission issues. These guys took us in and helped save our weekend. They were honest about the issues and the time it would take to fix it. It was a affordable price. They did everything they could to get us back on the road. They got the part at 2pm and we were back on the road by 5:15! Very professional and kind people! I’ll definitely always recommend these guys! They are a class act!

Excellent experience! On the way to South Carolina car broke down and had to be towed to Express Oil Change. The engineers worked on the vehicle promptly. Got back on the road and there were no more issues! They are honest brokers, kind, and professional! Highly recommend!

They are friendly and they do good work. Great place for an oil change but prepare to take out a loan if you need any type of auto repair. They get your vehicle and then call you with four or five things they must fix before fixing the actual problem you came in for. Its so expensive you might as well take it to the dealership.

Haven’t had a problem with them before until today. Went to get an oil change and everything was fine until he put my dipstick back in and broke my dipstick tube into pieces. They said they broke it but wouldn’t fix it because of a “poor” design.

For the city of Birmingham, the mask mandate is still in effect. I would have been much more comfortable if the associate would have donned a mask while directly next to me/reaching inside my vehicle, to point at the odometer etc. Otherwise, very cordial.

My tire was low, asked them to please add air and to check if there was anything in my tire, the lady checked it and said there was nothing, next morning I wake up with a flat and I can very clearly see one nail, took it to a different location and the found another nail, also very visible. Obviously that chick is blind and does need to be looking at anyone’s tires. Just glad that it was fine til I got home.

I was pleased with everything. I am basically pleased each time I have used them. I had to wait on an air filter to be delivered,the tec made it easy to wait on it.

I really didn’t want to leave a review, but I feel like that’s the only way I’ll get help from corporate, as I have tried to contact them already with no response. I drove to the Leeds, AL location to get a simple oil change and was told that the oil tech was having a tough time getting the drain plug back in and then getting it back out. I was told that they had to bang on it to get it out, which they did. We waited and the service tech told me that I would eventually have to get the oil pan replaced because, “typically cars that have over 200,000 miles require an oil pan replacement.”. I asked him if the oil tech had damaged the plug or pan and he said he wasn’t sure. I asked him how much it was and he quickly responded that he would get me a price. I told him I had just gotten it replaced last year. Then another guy popped in and said he put a universal plug in and that my pan was fine because it’s a steel pan instead of an aluminum pan. He said there shouldn’t be any issue after replacing it. I feel that the service tech was trying to up-sale a repair that I didn’t need. The time I went before that, I was told that my hoses needed to be replaced, but this time they said the hoses looked good. I take great care of my car, so I will never go back. I am very concerned about my car, as I do not think it was handled properly. I do like Express. The Pelham, AL location is great, but I don’t live there anymore.

Service was fast, but no one offered quotes to fix the underlying issues.

I’ve never had an issue with Express until yesterday. Christina told me the oil I used last time had been discontinued and I HAD to put synthetic oil in my car which is more expensive. I asked multiple times if I had any other options & she told me no, I had to use full synthetic. I didn’t have enough money so she sat there and watched me call my husband to transfer the extra money. My husband then turned around and called the exact Express I was at to ask if they had discontinued the oil I needed, which the man told him absolutely not. My husband explained what happened and the man, I assume the manager, didn’t act shocked one bit that this had happened, he told my husband he would refund the difference, my husband went up there & he entered my card number but I still haven’t gotten my money back. I will definitely only be using the Vestavia location from now on.

Fast oil change. They recommended tires. Was able to drop my vehicle off the next late evening. Was ready for pickup exceptionally fast!

Ill admit I always used Jiffy Lube (mainly because I was the Assistant manager) but when the franchise owner sold his stores I started using this Express oil and I have used them for everything from oil changes to tag light replacements. The management is very detail oriented and helpful when questions are asked. The bay crew is very professional (very important in my opinion) and helpful, they are not just there trying to sell you an add on.

My wife had a leaking tire went by express oil change and tire and Leeds Alabama they refused to patch or plug her tire until she could order a new set but offered to put her a ridiculously priced single tire on her vehicle according to the manager that’s their policy so I guess their policy is to put a lady on the road with an unsafe tire rather than to violate their policy of ripping people off went just down the street to one of their competitors got a whole set a tires mounted balanced 60,000 mile warranty for the price of two tires at Express or if this is your policy then maybe you need to change your policy because it’s pathetic the way that you treat your customers

Took 16 year old daughter for first oil change. Young man that took care of us was very helpful and patient with my teenager. Took his time with her and went extra mile to quickly install a couple of burned bulbs during a very cold and busy time. Won’t go anywhere else & neither will she! 5 stars!

My fiancé went up to the Express Oil Change in Leeds to get a standard oil change. She was told by the technician Christina that the oil we usually use had been discontinued and that the only oil for her car was the full synthetic. When I found out about this, I called this shop and the one in Vestavia to confirm that the synthetic blend had been discontinued. I was told no by both stores, which meant the technician had blatantly lied to my fiancé in order to upcharge her. I will say that when I called back and told them what happened, they offered me a refund of the balance.This is, of course, an isolated incident, and most Express/Tire Engineers are pretty solid. However, this should be a warning to anyone else whos significant others may be taken advantage because a technician believes they can up sell or get one over on someone with limited mechanical experience.

This is the third time this place has tried to charge me an outrageous price relative to other mechanics. I am only a glutton for punishment because it is right near my house. This time they were going to charge me $85 for a Uber inspection. This guy up front, who is always arrogant about the price, said it was because I needed a “certified tech” like I’m some lost grandma or something. I left and went to Goodyear in Roebuck where a “certified tech” did the inspection for $19.99

This was my first time coming to this location and the service was wonderful. Mark took good care of me! I will forever be a costumer! Great job you guys!

Oil change was fine, but the replaced my headlight bulbs. And failed to install the new ones correctly, so that the bulbs slid from the headlights. Letting water get into headlights. I was on a trip, when I contacted them I had to return to that store to have it repaired. Only to be told they would not make the repairs once I returned there.

Never wanted to take my truck to get the oil changed so I always got my husband to do it for me but since he’s out of town I had to do it and it was so easy bc of there employee Christina, she made it so easy and was not pushy and she made it so easy I will definitely be coming back here.

Not much express about this place. Pulled up and went inside for price and how long it would be, was told I needed to go outside and pull up to a bay and theyd tell me there. Sat there for about 10 minutes and not a single employee ever acknowledged me or came up to my truck. Finally just backed up and drove away. I wouldnt recommend anyone going there just to be ignored.Went to the Havoline down the road and they were on the spot immediately helpful and friendly, got me in and done quickly and fairly priced.

My first visit to EOC in Leeds was last summer. The experience was so good I visited the location again today. Both times the staff has been courteous and friendly, efficient and knowledgable.

My wife was traveling from Georgia to Texas when she had car trouble. The heater hose went bad. The people at this shop treated her with respect and was very professional. Got her back on the road in a short period of time at a fair price. If I lived in the area I would definitely do business with them again. Thanks again.

A stick was stuck in my tire and was in a location that would not allow me to get it plugged, but would require a whole new tire. After visiting two other tire shops nearby who didnt have my tire in stock, I stopped at Express Oil Change in desperate need of a tire. The guys there were soooo helpful. At first, they told me that had my tire in stock and could get it done in no time. Then, they found it the tire had been sent back, but they could order it. Being that I live out of state and had to travel back the next day, I didnt have time to wait for a tire - I needed something immediately because driving on a donut 100+ miles was not safe. When I told the team this, they IMMEDIATELY began seeking other options. They found a similar tire at another Express location and had someone drive it over. Fast forward to almost an hour later, and my tire was on and I was riding yet again! The team was extremely helpful, friendly, funny, and just all-around good people. I dont think I have ever experienced customer service like that, especially at an auto care center. Thank you so much to the guys who helped!! I appreciate the assistance more than you all know!

Came here to get a flat tire fixed. I was told that the puncher is on the Sidewall and since my tire is 6 years old it cant be fixed. Discount tire on 280 did it for free and the puncture was actually in the tire center.

Terrible customer service. I came in with bad brakes, upon inspection that I paid for, I was quoted over $900 closer to $1000 to fix my brakes. Not only was this 2 days before chistmas, but I was treated as though this was the only way my car would be driveable. I am pregnant and asked how my car could be safe to drive for less than that, I was told there was no other way. I left devistated, emotionally distraught in an unsafe vehicle.Fortunately, I had them fixed by Cahaba Tire in Alabaster that same day for $200. Not only did this business not care that day about my situation or my safety, but I later called and was again treated unfairly. Since I have a newer car, I know that this was a money sceme to trick people into paying for things they don’t need. I’m thankful I drove away because there is no telling what they would have done to my car if I had actually let them work on it. I am beyond upset with this company that I have been using for over 15 years and I will let corporate know of my situation since the manager did not care. I don’t suspect to hear from this location to remedy the situation on their own.

After a very frustrating morning with about four other auto shops, Tire Engineers came through with phenomenal service. Greg Payne came outside to my car before I even got out. He and the rest of the staff didn’t waste a second of my time. They did a great job quickly. Can’t recommend them more highly.

Disappointing. Took my truck in because I thought it might have a slow leak in one tire & to get the oil changed. Time to pay. Charged for plugging a tire and oil change...$72. Out of curiosity I asked what was in the tire. A guy from the shop walked through and answered nothing was wrong with the tire, just needed air. Now my bill is $38. On the way home the truck smelled like it was running hot. When I opened the hood, the smell & smoke was coming from oil that has been spilled on the engine. I wont go back.

I have been using them for years. Very polite and professional. Always do a great job. A few years ago I had an emergency situation with my truck and was going to have to leave it there overnight, but that would leave with no way to get to work the next day. The manager actually offered to come pick up in the morning and drive me to work in Birmingham. How many businesses would do that? They have a customer for life with me.

Been using them for awhile never had a problem. But last week I took my car there to put a thermostat on and breaks on. My car was over heating when I dropped it off. They put the thermostat on and said it was fixed (im assuming they test drove it) he said that it still might over heat a little because of my resovor being cracked at the top ( Which its not) and not even half a mile down the road on my way home AFTER LEAVING my car blew a head gasket. They guy I talked to was EXTREMELY RUDE!! My question is should I hire a lawyer because this isnt right? Dropped it off to be fixed I had the money to put whatever it needed on it to fix it.

Left the drain plug loose in our car oil leaked out all in our garage. Also rotated and balanced the tires and made a horrible noise. Also they they the air caps off the tires. This place is horrible steer clear of this establishment. I will contact corporate and the BBB on this one!!

Didnt have any work done there, was delivering tires to that location, guys always been good to deal with.

My tire went flat on 411 by the Walgreens. I realized it right when passing this express oil change. So I pulled in, perfect timing. The first technician asked how long I drove on it. I said from that Walgreens two blocks down. Without even inspecting the tire he said the tire was bad and I needed a new one. I said no way! And I would like for them to take a closer look at it. He didn’t even know how to put the car in drive. By this time a manager came out and took over. They found the hole and and got enough air in it to move it to the back bay. Now the tire tech took over. This is the only reason they got a three star from me instead of a one star. It was a nice size hole and he patch plugged it the best he could and sent me on my way. The first guy pissed me off so much I had to leave this review. I don’t know why he told me that, if he was trying to sell me a tire or what but don’t let them blow smoke up your ass. They Also told my wife one time that her oil needed to be changed when it was only a week old. They took advantage of her also by selling her services she didn’t need. Other than that everyone was nice and polite. This actually can happen anywhere so I am not going to hold this against them. My wife and I will just be aware of this going pretty much anywhere in the future.

I usually dont go to this location and i decided to today because it was more convenient location im always happy with ever aspect of my service. But not todag and not this location the lady greeting and directing today is very rude and impatient i was trying to ask questions and get full service and she kept blowing me off acting like she was too busy.. Her name was Christina. Im never just someone to get aggervated i exspect very less out of people these days. Sorry not sorry

I bought 4 new tires there and one had a slow leak I took my truck up there to have it repaired since I had purchased the road side warranty I explained that to the man in charge and he tried to charge me $28.95 I explained that the repair should be free and he was very rude to me treated me like I didnt know what I was talking about. I felt like it was because I was a woman. I finally got through to the man I knew what I was talking about after telling him I would send my husband up there with my truck to have it fixed he changed his tune. Now thats discrimination if I ever heard of . So if youre a woman beware how they think about us. I really thought those days were gone I was just fooling myself.

Not happy with service. My car was running fine when I pulled in nu5 missing real bad when I left. I took car back and was told I needed a tune up. I am sure it does but did not start running that bad so quick. I drove it home and my neighbor my an intake hose they had busted while checking air filter. I am sure I probably needed to change it but dont lie to me when you break something. I will never go back to have my oil cjhanged there.

Do NOT take your car here. All they care about is how fast they can get you out of there, certainly not customer care. They will not listen to a word you say. Their negligence cost me a new battery and a new alternator the one time I went there. Manager had a massive chip on his shoulder. Corporate needs to do some quality control at this location at least.
