We have had the pleasure of working with a number of the people at Maverick, and every person has been incredibly pleasant and kind to work with. Such a nice place to shop. It doesnt hurt that they had good bikes for reasonable prices. Nobody offered to put a kid on a $2k bike there. They also worked hard to be sure that everyone was comfortable on the bikes, including on follow up visits.They provide donated bikes to the community, which was a nice benefit, and good way to put lightly used but really nice bikes to continued good use. We really enjoyed our shopping experiences here. Hope to get there one morning to try the coffee too.

What an amazing idea! Locally-owned, not-for-profit, combination bicycle sales, service, cafe, and wine bar. Wow! Not only that but staff by friendly, knowledgeable people who took the time to make sure my two and four year old kids had the right bikes set up properly. Everyone there was great with my kids throughout the visit. Added bonus — some of the bikes are available at deep discounts to normal retail prices. We got a gently used kids bike and another on clearance for less than the price of one new kids bike. Absolutely will go back. Highly recommend.

This place is the best! I needed a bike adjustment, and was fully prepared to pay. A few of the employees rushed to assist me, went above and beyond, and wouldnt take a dime. It was so refreshing to be welcomed and aided by friendly, knowledgeable people who simply want to help. I will definitely be using this shop for all my biking needs. I suggest you do the same :)

Worst bike shop Ive ever been too. Had a bike serviced here and the first 100 yards the derailleur was already shifting horrible and my front wheel fell off. Second trip in was to show them a pic of my sons stolen bike to see if they had seen it come in and I was told they didnt have time to even look at the pic. Go to spokes. They have better customer service and better mechanics.

I originally called this place just on a whim to get an idea on how much a bike cleaning would cost. TBH, I wasn’t planning on actually going there to get service.Last year, I ordered an electric bike for myself and my daughter. I went to a bike shop in Fairfax, and the guys there ruined our experience/excitement. The guys there were not very nice to us. Despite us not being difficult customers. I recently ordered another electric bike, and was going to take it to that bike shops other location in Leesburg. I called them to give them a heads up of me coming. The service guy that answered the phone was ok sounding, but he still made me feel rushed. As I already mentioned, on a whim, I talked to John from this shop. He was patient, very helpful, and amazing. Just based on that, I’m now bringing my bikes here. I have 5 electric bikes, and I will be using them for now on to maintenance them.I went into their shop today, and all the other guys were just as patient, helpful, and amazing! They were nice to all of their customers just the same . I’m a very happy new customer! 🙂

Great bike shop! Staff are friendly and offer guidance on pretty much any topic you ask. Was told my bike would be done the 16th due to a large backlog, but they got it done by the 10th. Definitely worth your time and business.

Awesome local bike store and cafe with plenty of bike accessories and parts to browse through. Justin helped me to upgrade my bike with new parts and stayed late to put everything together even though I asked for a few last minute additions. If you come in the morning or on the weekend the coffee is also delicious! I look forward to coming back here to support a local business in the near future.

I purchased a mountain bike for my daughter at another shop. It was assembled poorly and had a variety of issues which led me to bring it to Mavericks. They performed a safety check and fixed a broken piece. My daughter wax extatic! They fixed things on the bike that I didnt even know were working improperly. Great value and service!

I had the best experience with this shop. I came in unannounced with a bike repair issue (on a Saturday late in the afternoon), and the gentleman greeted me at the door and offered to fix it on the spot. I was expecting to at least have to drop it off for a few days (or at least hours). But he kindly took my bike to the back of the store for immediate repair while I waited and grabbed a coffee and enjoyed their air conditioning. And when I went to pay I was told no charge. Unbelievable! You just don’t see that kind of service and kindness these days, so I made sure on the way out to donate money towards one of the causes the shop supported. I had never been to Maverick bicycles before, but they have definitely won a customer in me. Especially given how few bike repair shops are out there these days, this place is a real gem.

Hands down the best bike shop in NOVA! Justin (Co Owner and Lead Mechanic) is knowledgeable, professional, and a friendly guy that I’ll continue to do business with. I highly recommend this bike shop! I’ve taken my bike to other places for quotes only to find out they had no idea what they were technically talking about and trying to over charge for minor maintenance. Don’t waste your time stick with Revolutions Bike Shop!

My Bob stroller had a flat tire back in October. After replacing the tube myself with one that was too big, I caved and brought it into Maverick for a new tube. They replaced both tubes and I noticed a staple still in one of the tires. I pointed it out and the mechanic said to bring it back if I had any issues. Fast forward to December and the same tire was flat again. After calling and being told by the woman who answered the phone that they would look but likely not fix it again for free, I was a bit frustrated but wanted to give them another shot since I’ve always had a good experience. I dropped it off this morning and Justin fixed it at no charge (he could see I was there for the same issue recently). Highly recommend this community bike shop if you are in the Leesburg area!

The rear brakes on my trek mountain bike fell off the frame into pieces on a recent ride. I collected all the pieces from the ground and put the loose items into a zip-lock bag. I only expected the repair shop to use those parts as a reference to see what brakes were on the bike originally.Turns out - I collected all the missing pieces and they were able to reassemble and fix the brakes from the loose parts. Only charged $20 for the repair. Mind blown - this is an honest bike shop whos earned my future business.

Thankful theres a team of bike experts this close to me. They are familiar with high end bicycles and really go the extra mile. Theres a mix bag staff here so you may get someone who doesnt gel with you, just find the ones who do. Regardless Im happy theyre here, my bikes need extra TLC as Im competitive, so if I can trust them you can. As always check your bike while youre there, dont just leave then write a punk review without letting them respond.Five stars dont get earned easily, they game done it twice now.

The entire crew at Maverick Bicycles has been great! Im an amateur cyclist who rides about 3-4 times/50 -75 miles a week in the summer, and a bit less in the spring and fall. I was riding a very basic bike that I bought at a department store, and I wanted to upgrade -- but I had no idea what I was looking for.Doug really took me under his wing. He showed me several different models in my price range, and even arranged to have one brought in to check the size. I ended up with a base model Salsa Warbird -- which I absolutely love. Doug also fitted me with my first ever bike shoes, and a bunch of other gear. Dawn and Justin got me on the right sized bike, and made a few small adjustments when I needed them. Jack set me up with a light. They always make this amateur feel like a very valued customer. I cant say enough about them.We are fortunate to live in a town with a terrific bike trail and several excellent bike shops. But these people are just the best! If you need a new bike, if you need service on your current ride, or you just want to check out their stock of accessories and gear, please visit them. I went in on a busy Saturday to get a tune up and detail in hopes I could ride Monday. They first said it would take 5-7 days, then after seeing my absofruitly terrified face my man Doug said he could get it done sooner. As soon as coffee and church was done on Sunday morning I got a call saying my bike was ready. They also replaced a drop bar end cap I had lost, which I didn’t even mention. Y’all the GOAT

Went in looking for a different coupler for my Schwinn Hitchhiker. They don’t carry that product but took a look at my situation and gave me a sleeve to help make my current coupler work. I highly recommend these guys for their honesty and generosity.

Great shop!They were great with our young daughter on trying out bikes and showing the difference between each of them.The shop sells quality bikes! Trek, Giant, or Sundays. They also have a handful of used bikes for a fair price.They do a great job on repairs!

Got a great deal on a Trek bike and they worked with me to get it setup right with all the right equipment and accessories. Very friendly crew and highly recommended. They also carry Giant bikes and sometimes will have consignment sales (which is how I wound up going there to get my Trek, by selling my old bike that unfortunately just didnt seem to fit me right).

I purchased my mountain bike from them at the end of the summer, and I couldnt be more pleased with the attention they gave the sale and the service I have received every time Ive come back to the shop. Prices are extremely fair, and selection is great.Also, its a small detail, but as someone who is a super avid cyclist with a fairly in-depth knowledge of the industry and technical aspects therein, it was very refreshing to go into this shop and not be talked down to. They knew their audience with me, and I observed them knowing their audience with people who had differing levels of experience. Nothing turns me off on a bike shop more than when the staff refuse to believe that you know anything, so it was very refreshing in a geographic area where many of the shops had treated me poorly to walk in and be able to have a conversation as peers with the mechanics and staff where they gave me advice appropriate to my skill level and desires.Definitely recommend you stop by if you need service, a bike, bike parts, or just want to grab a coffee!

I think that Bike Outfitters is simply the best, bar none! The entire team is great, the shop amazing, but, most of all, the service is simply the BEST you will ever find!My bike is a very unique, it is a hand bike (freedom Ryder), purchased in Oregon, and pretty tricky to work on… I have two of these bikes, and when they need service, I see Justin.Justin takes such care, invests such time, finds solutions to keep me riding, he always makes sure things are right … in short, he treats my bike as though it was his personal bike.I can’t recommend Justin highly enough; I am that pleased with the service …THANK YOU!

I have been in there at least half a dozen times, if not more, and every time I have been treated like a VIP. Im greeted as soon as I walk in the door and have never had to wait to get a question answered. When I bought a bike rack, they unpacked it from the box, brought it out to my car, and installed it. When I brought a bike in for a flat tire, they took off the wheel, replaced the inner tube, filled it with air, put the wheel back and only charged me the cost of the tube. Great customer service. I also like that they are locally owned, would much prefer to shop with them than some national chain or big box store. Best thing ... I can walk there from my house in Brambleton Town Center.

I just got the deal of a lifetime on a used CF bike. The wheel upgrades alone were worth the price. In addition the mechanic installed a new stem free of charge.Then they cleaned and adjusted my new purchase and told me I could bring it back within 30 days if it did not work for me.I was loathe to spend the ridiculous money on a new machine but they made it possible for me to get into an advanced bike at a reasonable price.I am a satisfied customer.

Great staff, always knowledgeable and friendly. Big selection too from kids bikes to high end carbon road bikes. This is the best shop anywhere close to Leesburg.

I highly recommend taking your bike here for service. Service and repair staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and they charge a fair price for quality work. I didnt purchase my bike here, but I know these people stand by the bikes they sell, so I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to a friend looking to buy new bike.

He is super friendly and very knowledgeable. This place is great example of valuable service you get from a Brick and Mortar place instead of online. Every penny is worth it.

This bike shop is FANTASTIC! Ive recently started biking after years away from the sport, and they have become my go to place for outstanding products, a huge variety of accessories, great biking clothing, free advice, and great, friendly, personalized service! I was there again today to get a new gear shift for my latest acquisition - a lovely 1996 Giant Nutra (that the prior owner had purchased from this same business 16 years ago!!!) - and they not only had the part I needed, but it was less expensive then that same item online!! My husband and I love to browse among their incredible stock of bikes, and the staff is always happy to take time to chat with us about bikes. They get two thumbs up from me for a knowledgeable staff, friendly, helpful, and always ready to make my newly rediscovered biking fun, fun, fun.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I wanted to fix my bike myself and they showed me all the tools I would need and exactly what replacement parts would work. One of the tools I had purchased turned out to be defective and I thought I would have to go through the company that sells the product, but I brought it in and they were able to replace it right on the spot. Everything turned out great and I will be sure to go back to them when Im back in town and need anything else :)

Purchased a bike from this place and absolutely love it. It is perfect for me. I so appreciate Jack working with me to get me the perfect bike. I love my Trek Hybrid Neko. Jack is really knowledgeable. I will say I worked with Jack on a Saturday and went in on Sunday to purchase the bike. The customer service on Sunday was horrible. Jack was off and no one was in the store and I had to actually walk up and ask the three employees working who were so busy playing in the computer to help me. They acted irritated that I was bothering them. That is my only complaint. Guess when the boss is away the employees just dont care.

I had bought a new, but a previous years model Trek. The guy there was very knowledgeable and installed a seat I was getting. He assisted in getting the bike strapped onto the car with a new carrier. The bike was wonderful, but I became disabled after the purchase and had to sell it. It was an awesome bike from a great shop. Id consider them again, but Ill likely get a tadpole recumbent next due to illnesses. They dont sell recumbents.

Only reason I gave 2 stars is for the fact of a great selection. Long story short I had worked out a deal with B/O on a trade in, after getting there and fitted for the bike they lied about what they offered for my bike. 3hrs wasted and wont go back again regardless.

My favorite bike shop, Im so glad I bought both of my bikes here for my son and I. We take it back for small maintenance and they always take care of us. One time they just did it for free on some small issues.The staff here are super polite, knowledgble and passionate!

Sean the mechanic is the man. He replaced a spoke on a 30 year old steel wheel with only 15 minutes before closing. He had a great attitude the whole time.

The people at this shop -- from sales to technicians -- consistently go out of their way to help customers. They are friendly, organized, and helpful. Todays experience was just one of many: I lost a screw in my shoe clip, which meant I couldnt get my foot in/out. I went to Spokes in Ashburn because it was close to my riding spot, but (as usual), they didnt have a screw. (How does a bike shop NOT have a shoe clip screw???). Four guys bumbled around, half-heartedly digging through drawers and little containers for screws. They tried a few that didnt fit (duh). I wasted about 15 or 20 minutes before they finally said there was nothing they could do.I went to Bicycle Outfitters the next day and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The technician took out the other screw so he could find a similar one (brilliant, right?), went to a single container, instantly found a matching screw. He tightened both into my clip and I was on my way, free of charge. This was not rocket science, but the experience shows how much more organized, friendly, and competent Bicycle Outfitters is than the other shops in the area.

I dont usually write reviews. But I really have to write it on these guys. I have Specialized Enduro 29er and I needed tuneups. I have seat post that was acting up and breaks needed some of attentions. Like usual mechanics they always says I will take care it. Well.. these guys are different. Giving me full of their acknowledgement and giving a great and honesty advice is the key of experiences. Ryan (owner) is very experienced with bikes and especially with Specialized bikes. I will come back again with services. Thanks guys. TWO THUMBS UP! Highly recommended

I called the store looking for a used bicycle to do USATF course measuring. Suzanne found me the bicycle I needed (a sturdy step-through with minimal gearing and a comfy seat), sent me a picture via text, and had the bike checked out for safety. This was great because Leesburg is about an hour away so I knew the bike looked good for my purpose. Got to the shop and the bike was great. Just what I needed. They also installed my Jones Counter for me without charging me. Bonus! What great service! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a bicycle.

Took bike in during the weekend, said I needed it by Friday. Employee said bike should be ready by Wednesday/Thursday. Nobody calls Wednesday or Thursday, so I call Thursday afternoon. Person said it would be ready by Friday, which is the absolute last minute for me because I return to college that night, but alright thats fine. I go Friday at 5:30ish, and the employee tells me that the bike hasnt even been started yet. Almost a week went by and no one had even touched the bike. I am very disappointed by this first-time experience with this company, and I will not be doing business here again.

Horrible customer service. They of course have great service and communication when they are selling you the bike and equipment but horrible follow through after. After the sell you simply take a back seat to their other new customers where they are trying to make more sells.Think many times before you buy in to their sales pitch. Greedy, bad customer service and not family oriented.I would not recommend this store to anyone.The manager on duty was rude and non-accommodating. One can only hope the owners of this chain of stores understands and realizes the manner in which they are being represented by their employees.

UPDATE: When I purchased the bicycle, a bolt broke as they installed the kickstand in the back. They gave me a temporary kick stand and assured me that if I go over to the other branch in Leesburg, they can tap the bolt out and install my original kickstand. Turns out tapping the bolt out creates a giant hole in the frame and I can NEVER have an integrated kickstand installed. What they shouldve done was replaced the frame because at that point I have never rode the bike and they handled all the installation. While it is just a kickstand, they knowingly sold me a product with a defect.Very disappointed. I moved to the area recently, and they took advantage of that by claiming its required by law for EVERYONE to wear a helmet to get a $32 helmet sale when it is only for children 14 years and younger. I know a helmet is good, but they knew I had to ride home, so it pretty much forced me to buy the helmet there rather than somewhere cheaper.

Just got home with my NEW BIKE!!! And who loves it? ME!!! And who loves this newly found place? ME!!!I moved from Mclean and was used to Spokes in Vienna, VA and they were great.... but now that I moved to Brambleton, I found Bicycle Outfitters, and OML... AWESOME!!! Yes I feel like a Valley Girl with my expressions and animation but this place is just awesome. Truly, walked in last week, spoke with Miles and SOLD... he wasnt selling it to me, it was his passion and knowledge about the various brands etc.Then fast forward and I picked up my bike today and met Zandy, another rockstar. Tuned my bike to ensure he was handing it over in perfect condition, sized me up, and voila my bike was ready to go! Answers all my questions, gave me a quick tutorial and I drove it home like I was a professional rider. I have shared this shop to several people already because it is and THEY are just THAT good. Invest in a good bike but invest in the right shop! This is the place!... a girl and her bike, simple happiness:)

We were crossing over from the C&O to the W&OD today when my friends chain snapped. There were 3 of us on the side of route 15 trying to fix it so the bike was rideable, but we werent able to. In the midst of our struggles, a minivan pulled off to the side of the road and a man got out to help us. It took him about 1 minute to fix the chain, which saved us countless time and effort. That man is the owner of this bike shop. We are grateful for the help, thank you! Without it we wouldnt have finished the the loop back to DC. If I ever need bike maintenance in Leesburg, I know where to go.

Horrible mechanical services. Went in to the Leesburg location with cracked seat post clamp. Though cracked, it was holding. Told them I had to ride back to DC (40 miles) so to not to touch it unless they knew for sure they had the right size replacement piece. Kid takes it in the back and undoes my clamp anyway, further breaking it in the process, then comes back and says they dont have replacement piece. I told him he shouldnt have touched it then, and he did not even respond, just handed me the bike. Get outside, and clamp now does not hold. Went from cracked but holding and rideable to snapped and not holding and not rideable. Thanks bicycle outfitters, I really appreciate mechanics that break my bike. And complete indifference from your staff as well, really appreciate that. To be fair, guys at the front desk, non-mechanics, were very nice.

I had purchased two bikes for our oldest son from Bicycle Outfitters years ago and had good experiences. When it was time to purchase for our youngest, I ended up purchasing a bike from Walmart...big mistake. For Walmart, it was one of their better/more expensive bikes and it had really good reviews. It was shipped for his birthday and I began putting the bike together. Let me tell you that I will never do it again. After hours of building and trying to adjust the brakes to compensate for defective parts (warped discs) I determined it would need to be returned/exchanged. Well, it was my sons birthday and they didnt have the bike in the store. Online customer service offered no help other than telling me I could return it to the store...wow, thanks. The only option for the same bike was to wait the 10-14 days to get a new one ship. Desperate, I called Bicycle Outfitters just before closing and Jack confirmed a few options were available in the store. I brought my son in to confirm fitting and let him pick out his birthday bike. Jack was great and took the bike straight to their mechanic to make fine adjustments and do a final check before taking it home. He registered the bike for warranty and advised me of the two years of adjustments that they provide as part of my purchase. My son got a better bike for very little more money than the junk that I purchased from Walmart. I learned my lesson and will go back to Bicycle Outfitters when he needs a larger size. Thank you Bicycle Outfitters for saving me and for your friendly, professional service.

This is probably a review I ve written in ages..David (Brambleton store) immediately jumped on the issue on my 1 week new road bike ( bought elsewhere, who should have taken care of it in the first place), to adjusting the seating posture, and reducing stem length, seemingly minor issues, but critical in terms of long distance riding without aching joints, esp for new riders like me.. Could feel the difference right away.. abt to take for a longer spin on W&Od. Also appreciate the good tips on how to get a better riding posture et al.No pressure price wise or to make a sale, and charged very normal rates, which was good.One suggestion is to have workshops during summer for bike maintenance ( apparently avail only during fall)..Again, Thanks for a positive experience!

After moving to Leesburg over 12 years ago, I went to all the bike shops in the area looking for a new road bike. I was looking for carbon, but decided on a Titanium Lemond hanging on their wall and had it custom built. I still have that bike and Ive since purchased all my bikes(Road, CX, MTB, Triathlon) and my families bikes from them. They are my Local Bike Shop (LBS) and I will continue to purchase our bikes from them. Great owners and staff!!!
