I work all over the country, dealing with steel suppliers everywhere we go, and im always glad to come back to the professionalism and friendly environment at Metalmart.

Rudest salesman in the world works their (Mark), totally incapable of listening and answering without being condescending if you need some guidance. Girl working the will call is a snarky bubblegum chomping snarky teenager. I avoid this place as much as possible, which is a shame. I used to go here 10-15 times per year, no once a year tops. SSS Steele is now worth the extra 30m drive.

Metal mart has been a great source for all my metal needs. I’m a general contractor and find myself needing metal roofing all the time. I built a trailer last year and only had the Axel and tires to start with. They have a great selection to work with. After searching around though other vendors metal mart has by far the best prices. I have worked with Andrew at the Logan store several times since he has been there and he is not only helpful but knowledgeable about the products and make sure that I get everything I need.

I’ve been a customer at metal mart for 2+ years now, their service is exceptional and they have a wide variety of products. The sales reps are all knowledgeable but I personally work with Wes because of his experience in the shop for years, happy to see he is in sales now helping customers get what they need! 10/10 recommend

Ive been coming here for metal outside of employment since high school. Definitely my first choice for metal being self employed. Great selection in the scrap yard and typically fully stocked fresh materials. Turn around is quick as well, just call or email amd ask for Andrew and youll get some great customer service.

Metal mart was so professional and informative about an unusual project we had.They kept notes for this particular job and any of my concerns all annotated on my file; so no matter whom I came in to talk to we were all on the same page. I appreciated the professional yet friendly environment I encountered.

Saw that this place has been getting some bad reviews and I noticed every time Im there I see ride and impatient customers. They have unreasonable expectations for being served and cant wait 5 minutes for their metal to be brought out from the back. My experience had always been very positive. Helpful hardworking staff doing their best to meet demanding customers.

Needed to pick up some tubing to repair a utility trailer. Placed my order. Unfortunately, I gave them the wrong specs. Didn’t figure it out until after they cut the tubes. Totally my fault. Instead of making me eat the cost, Mark Helean, gave me the credit towards the right tubing. Great guys. Great customer service. Thanks Mark!

This place is pretty good. Service has always been good, prices seem inline with industry, and the selection is really good. Wish it was a little cheaper, but I still come back every time.

Metal Mart is my go to location in Utah county for just about any metal project. Metal is expensive, but MM seems to provide reasonable prices. Ive shopped with them for steel lawn edging strips, steel rods for stained glass, etc. They have a bone yard where you can purchase smaller pieces of scrap metal for small projects. In short, shopping with Metal Mart is a satisfying experience.

If your shopping for Metal roofing avoid this business. The bid I received was $2,934 higher than my two other bids. Called and texted to talk to the owner, never got any feed back. The sales office has changed. I have bought roofing before, but now they have changed. Buyer Beware. Also 10 week wait, they order the roofing from China.

Having someone like Wes in sales who is also been in the warehouse is huge!! it’s important because he understands a lot better where im coming from and how time is very important for a small business owner..Wes is able to get things done and is quick to learn and remember what materials I use most..

Great selection of metal products! Many pre-cut pieces available in the front yard - by the pound. Employee was helpful and helped load heavy pieces. I found two ornamental pieces on an inside wall display but both were had old catalogue numbers and it took 15 minutes to figure that out. Went to outside warehouse to pickup the pieces and waited over 45 minutes for them to finally deliver the product. From what I could see, everyone was frustrated and tired of waiting for service. They need more yard workers. Expect delays.

Ive been regularly buying materials here for years. The sales staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The yard staff is conscientious and good to work with. Their prices are commercially competitive.

Its hard to get metal, but the rep Andrew Oviatt was a huge help and very cooperative.

I enjoy the experience while I’m there, but calling in is a gamble. Most calls result in being on hold for lengthy periods of time. Leaving a message to be called back often times gets me a call from them the next day. More often than not, I find myself doing business elsewhere. Time is valuable and I can’t afford to spend it on hold

Its a joke that when I request for a piece to be sheared, the response is Well we can guarantee that it will be straight and that the piece wont get damaged. What is the point of even having equipment if it is that terrible! Buy some new equipment that can do a half decent job!

I love this place. I am a hobby welder and fabricator. They have a great supply and professional staff. Ive been to other places and they are either too big or too small.

Metal Mart did not have the best prices after comparing with other steel suppliers in the area but they had the best customer service! The sales rep, Bailey, was extremely helpful in getting my order submitted and processed. I worked with other steel suppliers and MetalMart definitely has great customer service, the others dont even compare.

I have bought at Metalmart periodically over the past 15 years. The selection is good, but the service is pretty poor. I am not a commercial account so they treat you like you are more of a bother than a valued customer. Last week I stopped in and bought some remnants to make some trailer modifications. The shop said they needed different steel items that they would purchase themselves through Metalmart. They said since I just bought them I should take them right back. The salesman said oh, we dont allow any returns whatsoever. I showed him the receipt and that I had just purchased them hours before. He pointed to some tiny little fine print at the bottom of the receipt and said it says no returns right here. I told him I couldnt read that and it should be made clear to customers. I asked if they would refund with a 20% restocking charge and he said no, just go take it to a scrap yard. I lost $87 in a few hours, but it was a valuable lesson. I will NEVER buy from them again. In fact the scrap yard had the same steel I could have bought from Metalmart for pennies on the dollar!

Staff was friendly and quick. They have a remnant section where they break down material into sizes for customers that dont need 20 sections, though I wish it was a little bigger. That being said, I found what I needed there.

Great experience. Just got a secondhand welder and Ive been looking all over for practice steel. They have a huge outdoor scrap section where you pick what you want and pay by the pound ($0.78/pound at the time of writing). Awesome selection, and probably 1/4 the price of the exact same thing at Home Depot. Also, the guy who helped me was as friendly as could be. Ill be back soon!

I’ve been purchasing steel at a few places for the last 7 years. Despite the long drive for me, this place is the best now. Prices were great, staff was efficient and friendly. Would give 5 stars but I called them the day before I drove out to make sure they had 2 specialty sheets I had ordered. They told me they had them, but when I got there, nope. I would not have driven out had I known this, but I still stocked up on some cold rolled sheet I can’t get at my second favorite place.

Great place to get metal from for a home user. They have a massive section of remnants which are sold for a good price. The thing is, they actually sell rather large remnants, so its not useless tiny stuff. The people I have spoken with there are all very helpful and friendly as well.

After a bad experience at SSS Steel in Salt Lake, I ended up ordering from Metal Mart in Lehi, UT. Response was fast on their online form. Order took 5-7 days as listed on Metal Mart website. They emailed/texted us when our order was ready. I walked in and paid with no line. We got there and waiting approximately 20 minutes for them to bring the nicely packaged order out to our car. The guy who delivered the order was friendly and helpful. The order was packaged with extra metal to protect our ordered pieces. Wrapped with metal strapping and 2x4s. Super impressed by these guys. Will be using them for future orders.

The quote you gave me was incorrect. When I arrived, I was charged twice as much as the quote. One cut cost me $16 dollars. What a joke. My money and business will be going elsewhere in the future. I will never recommend this business to anyone. Tired of the condescending attitude and poor service.

Go to SLC for your metal. Decent selection - but if you are just a consumer looking for project metal go elsewhere. They charge too much for cuts and they are slow to help. I waited for 30mins just to grab 3x24ft sections of pipe.

Lehi Metalmart customers service can be very disappointing.Every time I relate with one of those guys I have a bad experience. They treat you like you are bothering them and they are doing you a favor.Metal is kind of expensive too.

First time that I contacted this “business” it was on July 2 in the morning by chatting, I got a message saying they’ll be in touch with me in just a moment 4 days after I’m still waiting.Today decided to call them directly the line was picked up right away by a very nice lady who transferred my call to sales department was there on hold for 8 minutes. Did hang up and called again, phone rang for 1 minute and the call was dropped. They still have 1:10 to close for the day.They are a booming business and not capable to add more customers. So sad.

Ive found repeatedly, that these guys have better service and prices than elsewhere. The price per cut can get steep, so bring a saw to cut off-property. The low price has facilitated adding little luxuries here and there.

Most disrespectful sales men Ive ever meet! Screaming at me to wear a mask as they are not wearing masks themselves! Strongly suggest teaching them a lesson!

Hard to get pricing over the phone. Theyll take a message to call back, but either they wont call or the call will be hours or days later. Sometimes the only way to getting pricing is to drive five miles and wait in line.

Their prices are awesome after calling around two different places to find their numbers these guys were the best all in one place. And when I called into order what I needed they are very friendly and knowledgeable.

My husband and I have been going to Metal Mart for several years for everything from scrap steel for small welding projects, diamond plate sheets and square tubing for a trailer build and most recently for rebar and steel bar for concrete work. Went to Metalmart to get help purchasing materials to build an awning in my backyard. When I got up to the customer service person I was told “we can’t help you cause that’s not what we do. We have 30 other customer to help because today is Saturday”Not sure if this is normal since this was my first time there but I was shocked since I’ve heard nothing but good things about how helpful they are.

This is a great place to buy metals, Ive bought square steel to weld up Vinyl Fence gates. Expanded grates and angle iron or weld up window well covers. Etc

Their website says under the Services tab MetalMart knows time is money. MetalMart is equipped with (3) band saws for quick and accurate cutting of your materials that can quickly get you back to your job, but they dont disclaim that the steel has to be purchased from them or they wont touch it. Doesnt really sound like a service!

Went in here to buy an American Flag hard hat for my son for his birthday. Terry helped me. They were awesome. They helped me over the phone twice and were waiting and ready for me when I went in to pick it up. He was awesome, enthusiastic and helpful. Customer service is lost and once in a while you meet someone who treats you so well that you remember what the old days were like! Thank you!

Metal mart is the best. Terry is always great to work with and is willing to take extra time to help me find anything I need. The guys loading the trucks have always checked to make sure the order is correct and timely.

Great service. I go here for the mild steal remnants and scrap. It is great for working on my 4x4 and other projects. All sorts of sizes and shapes from square tube to 1/4 inch thick plate. Staff is great, always friendly and helpful.

Always cheaper than anyone else I call, very easy to work with, they dont take forever giving me a price quote, and the delivery driver is always friendly and doesnt get impatient when I unload over a ton of metal by hand, with a buddy. I constantly shop around for price comparisons and metal mart is by far cheaper and, I dont have to have a contractor account for a deal, its nice not to have to haggle every time I buy something.

I had question on my order and I called to see if I could revise it. I had emailed in the order for drip edge (this is only part of a large order). I needed what they called Denver Eve. My salesman told me, Oh they are the same thing. When they arrived they were bundled on a skid, and I admit, I didnt check them closely.The driver from Fabral was pretty cool and very personable. While we talked during unloading he said at one point, Oh, theyre usually pretty good about returns. Unfortunately, he was grossly misinformed. I was told at the service desk that this was acustom order and therefore not returnable. Nowhere on the web pages, order forms, or receipts is this stated -anywhere.Since what I was trying to return was trim I hoped it wouldnt be an issue. Wrong again. The smart mouthed clerk told me I could sell it on KSL.com. So Im stuck with $150.00 worth of roofing trim I have no use for, all because I was told it was the same, when it wasnt. Not to mention the cost of my gas and time figuring out their nonexistent return policy.Uodate: I revised my rating up after taling to Brad (the manager). He was nice enough to refund my money and I feel that they are striving to get it right.

The company I work for switched to using Metal Mart and it’s been a great experience. We can order material and expect it to get delivered within the next day. Also, Taryn and Gabi at the front counter are great to work with in person and over the phone. Excellent customer service.

Metalmart has great service. They are helpful and kind. The only problem is getting a hold of a sales associate in a hurry. They always seem to be busy, which is good for them but makes it hard if I am in a time crunch and need help fast.

Great place to get a good deal on metal. However they need a security that answers the phones that knows the price of materials. I have called several times just to get a price on something, the secretary says I will need to hold for someone in sales. Finally after holding for 15 to 20 minutes I get an answer. phone calls for a price check should have only taken 3 minutes tops but yet its 20 to 30 minutes to get an answer.

It has the metals I need. 3 stars because I call ahead to see if they have something in stock before I drive up from south Provo, but I’m never surprised to find out it’s actually out of stock. I think it is because they don’t have the patience to be on the phone to thoroughly check for you. They are always trying to rush you through the phone call. Then you show up, and whoops...they actually don’t have the part in stock. It might because they forgot you said “aluminum” and not “steel,” or that you said ‘1/8” thick’ and not ‘1/16” thick.” Also, they’re not sorry that they just wasted an hour of your time either.

Metalmart used to be awesome to work with but they got to big and wont hire any instore help, if you call it takes at least 30 to 45 minutes on hold to place an order if your lucky. I was told by the gal that answers their phones that I could leave my number and would be called back, I never received a call back both times i called.Im sad to say this but its time to start looking for a new steel supplier.

MetalMart does an excellent job. They have all the metal sizes and thicknesses I need for my business. They take my order, the guys load me up, double check to make sure everything is right, and get me in and out in a hurry. They are open on Saturday and their prices are fair. Thanks to Alex and everyone there.
