Ive been meaning to write a review on here so here goes, I own Eagle Bluff Ranch and wanted to share my lighting story from the spring of 2020. During construction I visited Wilson Lighting because that is the only large lighting company that I knew of. I walked in and explained to an employee that I needed help because I was building a wedding venue and had many things to purchase pretty quickly. This guy told me to look around and let him know what I wanted. I left and drove away very frustrated, as I was headed back home, I did a google search and saw that Rensen House of Lights was very close by so I stopped in. I was met at the door by a lovely lady named Marci Lambader. This was the best decision that I would make during my construction experience. Over the next couple months, Marci and I would spend hours going over lighting ideas and designs. We shared many emails back and forth and she went way beyond looking at the in stock in the store for me. She searched out styles and colors online that would work perfect for my budget and building design. Before she would order the lighting, she insisted on driving 90 miles to my business on her day off to be certain that she had led me in the right direction. Well that was about a year ago and I have lost count of the many compliments that I have received on my venue lighting. I couldnt have done it without her and if you want a personal experience when purchasing lighting and a fair price, go to Rensen House of Lights and look up Marci. Im know they have other wonderful employees there because I witnessed them working as well but Marci will not let you down.

Went to Rensen several times this month to pick new light fixtures and art for my house. They have an amazing selection of fixtures and were very helpful. Amazon has cheap junk and when you need to see something in person this place is a great place to go. Michelle was an awesome help to us.

Amazing place to find all kinds of lights. So impressed when I walked in. Founds a great light and it was on clearance too. Staff was friendly and responsive when we called weeks later needing some assistance getting a part.

Terrible customer service policies! Who charges a restocking fee for an ordered item anymore? especially when the item wont work for the customer, no attempt was made in advance to make sure it would before it was ordered, and no one even attempts to help the customer solve his problem and make the item work? While I was complaining about how I was getting shafted, another customer was receiving similar treatment from another store employee. Double-bad! You got my $120 restocking fee and lost me as a customer forever--and everyone I share this story with. Congrats, Amazon strikes another blow against the local retailer! If you arent in the customer service/problem solving business, youre dead.

I called ahead asking if they could help me with finding a part to a ceiling fixture. They are not a supply store but they asked me what I needed. I described it to them and they said to come on in. I arrived and within 5 minutes I had what I needed. They were very nice and extremely helpful. I would recommend them to anyone based on the service I received today.

ABYSMAL customer service. Maybe if I had been bleeding to death they would have tended to me. Clerks were busy with other customers, one was not. I sat at the table and waited for 18 min. I despise getting snubbed. I left to take my business elsewhere which is probably just as well because your last name should probably be Mahomes to afford anything in that place! This was my first visit and my last. Won’t be going back ever, and I sure as hell won’t be recommending it to anyone else either!

We purchased chandeliers from Marci Lambader at Rensen House of Lights in Lenexa. We are a new wedding venue called The Bell of Camden Point. Lighting was essential for us. We actually allowed Marci to pick the lights due to her phenomenal taste! We have received multiple compliments. We had a piece get broken during installation and Marci immediately came on site and rectified the situation without hesitation and followed up that it was to our satisfaction. I can’t give enough praise. Thank you Rensen House of Lights and especially Marci Lambader!

Lots of really beautiful home decor items as well as lighting.

Professional, attentive staff. Not pushy, they gave us time and space to discuss our purchase but there to answer questions when we were ready. Fabulous selection, prices appeared to be competitive with the box stores. Loved the art pieces for sale. Check out in the clearance room in the back.

Looking for lighting fixtures? Welcome to the widest selection youve never see. Really, if you have never been to Rensen House, go there just for FUN! You will see some outrageous fixtures, fans and fun stuff you never knew existed! And the staff is not pushy, but very helpful. You might just walk out w a new fan! They also have some great, unusual decor items!

Great selection of lights and a lot more. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and have a lot of experience. Should have gone there many years ago instead of the big box stores.

We went in for light plates and found the perfect light fixture for our dinning room. I couldnt me more pleased.

The sales staff are all helpful and welcoming. Terri was our representative and was very patient, helpful in her suggestions and so much fun.

After my experience in this store over the weekend I found it necessary to leave a review. First, we did purchase a light for our dining room from this location because we badly needed a new one and my wife was tired of not having light in the dining room. I knew before I walked in the place I was going to buy a light here. Now to my experience - We walk into the store and are in awe of the lights. I look up to see the sales people just looking at my wife and I very uninterested to help us. I dont know there names but I can describe them. Two middle aged men, one with longer dark hair (bald spot) and glasses, then another man with gray hair and glasses, the third person was a young Caucasian woman. We continue to walk around the store and I am in waiting in my head to see if someone will approach my wife and I to ask us if we needed assistance. Nope! It took 10 minutes of us being in the store and walking around for a sales lady (older Caucasian lady) to walk clear out of the back of the store to ask us if we needed help. We tell her what we are looking for and she shows us a couple lights. We tell her we will continue to look around in the store (Its much bigger than it shows from the outside). The 2 men I described earlier couldnt be more obvious they did not want to associate with my wife and I, perhaps because we are Hispanic? Perhaps because they are racist? They walk around us and are sure to avoid any contact with us while we walk around the store. IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS! These two guys help some other lovely families that walk in who just happen to be Caucasian, nearly the minute these families walk into the store. We find the light we want to buy ($340.00) and I grab the ticket off the floor model and walk up to the area where the check out was. I have the ticket in my hand and I am with my 9-year old son. I am purposely holding the ticket up as to say, I found a light I want to buy. Do you think either of the two men who are at the checkout asked me if I am ready? Do you think they offered to help me check out? NOPE! At this point neither of them were helping costumers so it wasnt as if they were busy, they just absolutely did not want to help me and my wife. It literally took the same old Caucasian lady to stop helping other costumers and come back to us and ask us if we were ready before we got help. As I am paying for the light, I tell the sales lady that I appreciated her being willing to help my wife and I. I am glad she just didnt stare at us like we didnt belong in the store as her co-workers did. The two guys that did not think my family and I belonged in the store heard me clearly. They simply continued to ignore me and walk away. I installed the light yesterday and it looks great and works great. I will gladly never step foot in this business again. I can not support a business that condones discrimination and disrespect toward their costumers!!!

Originally went there to get ideas. We found their prices to be equal to Home Depot, Menards or Lowes. Much bigger selection. Sales people are very helpful! We purchased whole house for new build. Highly recommend!

Discontinued my lights

We are remodeling our master bath. It has taken me several months to find a manufacturer that sells ceiling fans, the light kit & vanity lights that are in the same finish & design that I am looking for. Rensen House of Lights, Ks had them.I went to the store only to find out they do not carry much of what they sell. Once I found all of the lights on the Website, I had to call their store for them to make the order. They do not list things like down rods or even what company the items are from.My rep was BUTCH. I went OVER & OVER the order with him. When you are spending $1,000, site unseen, you want to be sure you have EVERYTHING.Thanks to BUTCH, and his ability to NOT ORDER WHAT I WANTED, after waiting two weeks for my pieces, I find that he did not order one of my vanity lights. You might ask, didnt you go over the order with him? Yes, yes I did SEVERAL TIMES.When I went to pick the items up, I found out I had a BALANCE, due to BUTCHs mistake of not completing the order as I had requested.I am very disappointed in this store, and for future lighting projects, you can bet I wont be going there!

Great staff and knowledgeable.

Buyer, beware. Dishonest business practices. The management / owners will stand behind the salespeople who make mistakes or cheat customers, as long as money is gotten from the shopper. Good luck trying to get problems resolved, or a refund, if the store messes up your order or delivery. If your home builder or remodeler tells you to shop there, ask for another option.

They had more than we needed. This is the place for lighting.
