Fairfield was recommended to us a few years ago (2012) when we were searching for a glider to use with our first child. After reading the claims that they made about the benefits of their faux leather upholstery we decided to purchase the custom made Fairmont chair, despite the large price tag, with the understanding that this would be a chair that we would have in our home for years and years. Unfortunately, that is far from the case and we would have been better off saving our money and purchasing from a big box store. Immediately, we noticed a very loud squeak every time we rocked our daughter (we are lean build), and discovered the metal glider base was rubbing on the wooden frame. Upon contacting Fairfield, they claimed that the only thing they could do was send a replacement base to which we would have to install - it improved, but definitely did not fix the issue and the wooden frame has suffered considerably from having the metal scraping it - it became a sit in/do not rock chair. Within the last two years we have noticed the upholstery start to crack and flake off. I contacted the company to see if there was anything we could do on our end to prevent/fix the issue to which we received the reply of it is out of warranty. I completely understand a warranty and the need to protect a company, however for upholstery to be cracking and flaking off as badly as it is poor choice of material and something that might be expected from a place with far less expensive of a price tag. I was surprised that I did not received a this is unusual and/or try this to help. I am saddened that not only we will have to dispose of something that we hoped to have as legacy piece of furniture, but there is zero resale value in a chair that must be reupholstered and rebuilt to prevent if from squeaking and/or eventually falling apart. I understand that Fairfield Chair Company prides itself in Quality Craftsmanship Its part of our DNA. Its the fabric of our company, and its woven into everything we do. Its why we put attention to detail first, second and third. however they have failed miserably with this line of products, and their customer care. I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone that they go in a different direction with their purchase.

To the Good People at Fairfield – Greetings to you on this Earth Day, 2018. I recently received delivery of one of your leather covered, wooden desk chairs for my home music room/library. I am delighted with the comfort, fit, styling and “sit-ability” of the unit. We’ve been in our house about 10 years now and this is the third chair in place. The first two were bonded leather from a big box store. Both looked poorly after just a few years. Additionally, they were not very comfort for extended periods of sitting. They were too high in the back and seemed to want to perpetually move me forward offering no support above my knee. I am pleased will all aspects of the new chair and with your guarantee which gives me assurance that the grade of leather will hold up splendidly. And then I read the flyer telling of your earth friendly manufacturing commitment. That for me was the icing on the cake. Additionally, you are a local company just 40 or so miles from my home.I am extremely pleased with my recent purchase. Keep up the good work on all fronts.Ken

Ordered custom Kipton loveseat which took approx. 3 months to manufacture and then additional 3 weeks until delivery. The arms are lumpy; the front edge of the foam seat cushion is lumpy as if it wasnt cut straight; the front edge of the seat cushion has ripples in the fabric; the front edge of the cushion is uneven in the way it hangs over the base of the loveseat. The design turned out to be very uncomfortable seating. Contacted customer service to request paperwork on the order and was told they would get back to me in 2-3 days. It has been two weeks and I still havent received the requested paperwork or reply.

I wish I could give zero stars. The quality of their workmanship is terrible. I would never recommend this furniture company.
