I truly cannot believe that a store I shop in several times a week and have raved about, I am now giving a bad review. For as long as I can remember, I have gone to the deli at 10:30am and purchased three already prepared chicken breast. Today I was there after 10:30 and was told it would be 11:00. I purchased my other groceries and went back at 11:00. The I was told it would be 14 more minutes and when I asked why, a lady named Stacy smart mouthed me with a reply of “we are doing the best we can”. I was not ugly to her with my inquiry and she had no business being smart mouthed to me. I had to check out my groceries, take them to my car and sit there for an additional 15 minutes. I realize that times are tough and many places are short staffed. Stacy must be feeling the pressure, don’t let her attitude cost you loyal customers.

This place is really impressive for a small town store. Really like shopping here!

This is the only store around that has the peach kefir that I like to drink it is a nice well lit super clean Super well maintained store

Very clean and well organized grocery store. Excellent prices and a good selection of food and necessities. The staff have always been friendly and helpful when I have asked them for help with trying to locate something. Check out their weekly ads for great sales.

They are a little pricey. With that being said, they have the best meat and produce. You also can find things that Wal-Mart does not carry.

Love the price on there meat department and always clean well worth the drive from Morganton to lenoir lots of savings .

I mainly go here during the truck sales when they have great deals on meats. Some other things in the store can be over priced.

I truly like doing my grocery shopping at this Fairvalue store, the place is clean and well organized, the prices are very reasonable and the meat department is second to none in the area and you dont have to carry around one of those discount cards to get a good price on your purchase, not to mention they have an excellent selection of beer and wine plus a bakery and deli with some mouth watering fried chicken thats priced for the whole family to eat well. Unfortunately and with sincere regret I must withhold one star due to a one time oops that happened a while back involving the exchange of my empty propane cylinder, I find it unfortunate that the management doesnt feel that the regular employees have enough gumption to fetch a customer a full propane tank so therefore guess what, you have to wait for a manager to cut themselves free long enough to step outside and unlock the cage where the cylinders are kept so you can swap yours out, Ive bought several exchanges from them and usually the whole process only takes a few minutes but on this day the management was apparently overwhelmed with whatever task was at hand and it took far longer than expected so I had to wait for what was about twenty minutes before I saw the manager.... finally he opened the cage and dug around for a minute or so only to turn to me and say It would appear sir that our cylinders are all empty at this time so I guess we should call the vendor I said that theres really no point at this juncture because my steaks have probably already cooked in my car while I was waiting for a cylinder that I didnt get.

Always can find what I need and us conveniently near my house

Their prices are higher than any grocery store in my area. Ive got Foodlion and Walmart to choose from. I like fairvalues deserts in deli and theyre priced a little high. Everything else is $2-$4 higher than Walmart. Examples...Ice cream, little debbie cakes, milk, coffee, cheese, eggs etc...So much more. Walmarts bread is $.88. 😇 seems like Fairvalues was close to $2. 😮 Walmarts peanut butter is almost $3 cheaper. 😮I really dont see how they stay open. I went in there a month ago for a fruit pie from bakery and of course it was delious. The 1 star goes to bakery, they deserve it. Those little girls working cashier need to go through a customer service class and learn how to treat people and learn what customer service really is.Thanks for your time and hope this helps people save money.

On the last three occasions I shopped at this store I noticed several employees including management staff were not wearing masks. I noticed employees in the Deli with their masks down on their chins handling food items and equipment while carrying on conversations with customers and staff. I decided not to try their fried chicken and mentioned it to a manager. The fellow in the meat department was not wearing a mask either time.They have recently remodeled this store and it looks better than it has in years - but their attitude to the threat of this pandemic is lax at best.

This place looks great after the remodeling. The produce department is awesome. They even have sit down eating area and salad bar.

This store is one of the many stores in and around Caldwell County NC that offers up food items for sale. Its also my second home where I will disappear to for a few hours just so I can avoid the unpleasant and hostile atmosphere of home lately.

Great employees and normally great prices

Only two problem with this place...the handicap carts are never charged...always runs out halfway through store...and the cashiers do not know the meaning of helping the handicap put their groceries back in the carts!!! Sad enough they have the problem to walk but to have no help with getting their groceries to their cars!!

Very disappointed with lack of communication for curbside pickup. I parked in what should have been pickup with no acknowledgement. no instructions to call store. order confirmation in email stated to park in fire lane it would be brought out. still no acknowledgement. I finally had to go in store, get groceries and take them to car myself.

Clean, great prices, and friendly I would recommend going. The meat prices and quality it great.

Employees are very rude but they have some good deals

Recently remodeled & now has an indoor dining area & a great salad bar at their deli. Good variety, always clean, & courteous, helpful staff.A real hometown feel. Ive shopped here regularly for too many years to say bc itll give away my age, lol.

Its a great place the employees are great. One manager is kinda snobbish . the only bad thing is when they have a sale they dont order enough or put a limit on it . like they had a sale on can food. They keep telling oh the track will be here tomorrow morning. Not good

I having been shopping at a Fairly for decades. This store has been remodeled. It looks great. The store is stocked very well and the staff couldnt be better. #1 in my book.

This place has a charm to it that you dont see with many grocers today. The staff have always been wonderful and the prices very reasonable.The best part, I think, is the hot bar.If youve ever suffered the mediocre fried chicken from others, go here and clean your pallette with the good stuff.

You can find things here that you cant find at large chain stores. Plus the deli is one of the best restaurants in lenoir. Their fried chicken puts all of the chicken chains to shame.

Went to pick up a quick lunch because their food us usually good.. no one working handling food had a mask or gloves on.. its everyones choice i know but its my choice id your handling my food..

Good selection but higher prices

Employees making shopping difficult by crowding up at the entrance and ambushing people at the door and pushing masks onto everyone. Decided to take my business somewhere else that does not use fascist tactics just to make a simple purchase.

We go here biweekly for our store trip. They send out flyers every week and have 10 for 10 deals which is awesome. No card needed. Good prices and nice employees.

I generally shop at Fairvalue at certain times of the month you can get great deals on meats, chicken and pork chops. They have deals on other things as well at certain times of the month. They have a big variety of Hispanic foods and a big garden section full of a large variety of different types of vegetables. I dont do all my shopping there because there are great deals on other things at different stores as well. I give 5 stars for having nice employees plus its like an old school grocery store witch I love that old fashioned feel.

Anybody that has lived or worked around Caldwell knows Fairvalues prices and variety make it the preferred grocery store. It has two, extremely easy to access entrances/exits plus ample parking is always a bonus. Fairvalue has competitively lower prices not to forget their famous special sales like Truckload of frozen foods, meats etc... and usually twice a month they have a 10 for$10 sale. Theres a full bakery/deli counter which serves hot meats and vegetables daily. The associates and managers are always cheerful and in general capable of assisting a person looking for exactly what they need. I recommend if yall aint been there and like chicken livers that you give theirs a taste.

I love Fairvalue! My family, when I was a kid, was raised on Fairvalue in the former Hudson location. They were always a superior source of fresh produce and fresh meats. There wasnt a Good Lion or a Walmart Neighborhood Market back when I was a young boy. The Hudson store is no longer available for shopping so I now go to the Granite Falls location, for the most part, but I also shop sometimes at the Lenoir store.

Great local store! The meat counter still cuts their own meat and are very helpful. The deli is the other great thing about this store. They have a very good selection for lunch.

Great store with a really good selection! Awesome prices! They have a really good produce selection! I paid almost 3 dollars for a head of lettuce at walmart and the next day I ran in here to pick up some things and a head of lettuce was .89 and it was bigger than the one I bought the day before!

I personally think that all Fair Value stores are a bit pricey in comparison to Walmart, but of course its near impossible to compete with a company of that size. With that in mind, this is an excellent grocery store, and is actually cheaper than Walmart when products are on sale! The lines are never longer than a couple of minutes, but theres usually not a line at all. Employees are nice, and helpful, and so is management. They carry other household products aside from groceries, like toiletries, paper products, cleaning products and tools, and a small selection of toys, beauty products, childrens products, and things. This is my first choice when I dont want to go to Walmart and deal with a bunch of people and have to walk around a huge store to find 2-3 things. I may save 50 cents by going to Walmart, but its worth it to avoid the hassle. Love our local grocer!

Prices are a little bit high in comparison to Walmart, but thats to be expected, since its impossible for stores to compete with their prices. But its a great hometown grocery store with polite employees and a good selection of products.
