We bought shishkebobs from here. Within a short time after eating that food, I experienced a lot of gastro intestinal distress that followed me all thru the night. Its the next day and I still have stomach cramps. Be wary. I will never buy food here again. I did not eat anything else with the shishkebobs. I was fine until I ate. The owner is trying to place the onus on me by saying I didnt follow cooking directions. This food was cooked throughly.. Perhaps they should practice accountability

The selection is great for meats, chicken, or lunch meats. Their homemade turkey & roast beef are delicious. Prices are fair. Watch what time you go as the lines can get very long

This place is incredible. We went Saturday afternoon. First time for us. We decided to get the large combo of meat for $99.99. They were out of some things And the butcher was done for the day, but the gentlemen behind the counter worked with us to get us fair substitutes. He was very pleasant and outgoing. So we decided to get a large hunk of NY strip also. He cut it up into 1” segments and trimmed the little pieces of fat off for us. We got home and froze most of it for later, but absolutely had to grill up some of the meat to try it. It was exceptional meat and all at a great price. We had trouble finding a butcher nearby and this place met every expectation. We will be returning on a regular basis to stock up on meat.

Great prices and quality meats.Update: I just read a lot of the negative reviews and I dont get it. I dont shop here often, but when I do I have a nice experience and never an issue with the products. I like being able to buy a big bag of ground beef and separate it myself into 1lb freezer bags, that value is awesome. The chicken breast prices are great compared to the grocery store regular price per lb and its natural and fresh. The only critique I have is availability. I have to try to make sure I get there before they close. I understand that its costly to keep a store open and not sell anything, which must have been happening pretty regularly for the closing time to be what it is. I talked to a guy who works there, maybe the owner or something, who did say that he will hang in there if you call and let him know youre coming close to closing time. I like that. I think its worth it to support a small town shop like this, and if people are concerned about quality, raise those concerns with the management before giving up. As for the reports that a guy was shaving in the store, I sure hope theres some kind of major misunderstanding there. Thats just gross. The person also said there was nothing on the shelves, so that cant be the right store!I would like to recommend more of a social media presence, promotions and products that cater to clean eating like grass fed beef for example!

Family owned, been around for years. Well respected in the neighborhood. Food is always fresh. Prices are reasonable, little higher than chain supermarkets, but fresher cuts of meet.Butchers will always cut what you need.Got a roast beef there, took it home and cooked it, then took it back to them for slicing.Now serving fresh made to order sandwiches. Reasonable price for what you get.

Web site and photos say opening Saturday at 8:00. Until you get to the store and the posted hours are 9:00. Ended up giving my money to acme instead of helping a small business.

Hours on the web are different from when you get to the store and the prices for sandwhiches are extremely too pricey. I ordered 3 sandwhiches today 1 being a salami and cheese on a Kaiser roll. Literally had 3 slices of meat for only $6.99 I could have gotten a half pound or more for that and the other sandwhiches were chicken salad and didnt even fully cover the roll I think maybe it was an over flowing table spoon full if that for $7.99 each.

Cant beat their lunch meat and they have a butcher

Large variety of meat and other items but the quality of the steaks is really bad. They had “USDA Prime” ribeyes, porterhouses, and strip steaks that were extremely lean with almost no fat. In fact it looked like they had cut off the fat strip from the strip steaks! Why would you do that? Overall, I was trying to find a good local butcher for my steaks but you’re way better off going to Shoprite than going here (and I hate buy steaks at a grocery store)

This place is hit or miss, but lately has just been miss. We got one of the package deals which they put in a paper bag so you cant even check out the meat you got, and figured out when we got it home that we ended up paying more $ than the meat was worth, besides the fact that the cuts were not the greatest. They also like to package their meats in a way that they put the old meat at the bottom of the pack so you cant see that its starting to go bad until you get it home and undo the packaging. Sometimes the prices are great, but other times over priced. Ive shopped here 5-7 times and have had more bad experiences than good, so will not be returning. Sad because Id rather shop at mom and pop, but dont like getting jipped.

Welcome to the old fashioned meat market! This is the dictionary definition of a family owned business that has stayed true to its roots. I personally love this place based on that fact alone but also there are several more reasons. Lets start with the prices. The cost of the products within these four walls are more than reasonable these days. They have excellent packages to choose from for a menu at home that can last you weeks. The staff is friendly and are able to assist you with any questions. Walking through the doors really brings you back to a family oriented feel because they really do care about their customers and providing great products at a reasonable cost. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We use to go here quite a bit until we bought a lemon pepper chicken. We got it home and went to cook it that same hour. The smell was putrid the expiration was two days after from the date we bought it. We returned it she insisted that we exchange it for some other food. We got potatoe salad and lunch meat. Again got it home it was horrible. Bland and bad. Unfortunately I will not be a returning customer. Stop changing expiration dates. You might of had a life long customer.

I have bought their 5lbs of roast beef with gravy for several catered events. Simply the best!

The deli has really gone downhill. Customer service is the pits. They alwsys slice more than you asked for and they dont know what thin is. I dont know what happened, new owners maybe, but I will not be patronizing this deli anymore.

Went there for the first time with my family, and we will never return. Spent a good amount of money on the ground beef. It seems they mix older ground beef with newer ground beef. Out of all the ground beef we bought only 1 pack seemed okay enough to cook. Turns out it made us all sick for 3 days.The deli did not seem to be very clean. Will not be returning .

The meat stop is a spectacular place. Amazing service, polite workers, and very helpful. It is the only place I go to get my meat.

Had 30 guys going on a camping trip and the meat store fed us all on the trails. All sandwiches were wapped up for easy cooler storage! We ate like kings with all the fixings confidently packed in seperate storage containers... thank you for making our weekend easy!

Every year would pick up roast beef here for our family Christmas eve party. However last years roast beef had downgraded, and now this recent years was awful enough for us to permanently break our ties with this store.The roast beef was incredibly tough, veiny and rubbery on every piece. Thankfully we had other food to compensate for the bad meat we bought from here.Im extremely upset that a food store weve gone to for years has dropped from its peak so drastically.

You should be ashamed to put your kid on a leash, and you should expect to be looked at differently. He is your kid not your pet, and maybe if you had better parenting skills he wouldnt need to wear a leash.I have been going here for years and have never seen or heard anything disrespectful from employees. The prices are cheap (for the meats) and service has always been great.

Good meat good price! As for others complaining about customer service all i got to say is ITS A BUTCHER! if you want pampering go to a fancy resturaunt! My aunt was a butcher for 40+ years and in comparison to her there very very kind! Just be happy that this butcher had the tollerance and patience to open their services direct to the public and not just distribute to a middle man who will charge you more and take your cash for nothing but will do it with a happy smile.

I didnt shop here and after seeing what I saw, I am most certainly not going to. I saw an employee shaving his face, right in front of a customer!!! Also, looking in, I noticed they had nothing on their shelves. What kind of place is this?

I go several times a month and the customer service is great, everyone is nice and pleasant and the store is very clean. Great place.

This store has been my go-to for lunch meat and veal, and sometimes certain cuts of steaks that arent available at the local grocery stores. Ive been going to this store since I was a child shopping with my mother in the 80s. Yesterday, I went to The Meat Store after work (5:15pm) and I was there to get steaks in preperation for Fathers Day Weekend. There was one package that contained 3 NY Strip steaks which were $8.99 per pound and it had the Buy More, Save More sticker on it. I asked the lady behind the butcher window if I could have 2 more packages like that instead of having to pay $11.99 per pound for each individually wrapped NY Strip steak which was exactly the same thing. She told me she couldnt do that, and no one was there to do that for me. I bought 2 skirt steaks for the kids and left the store and went to Redners and bought beautiful steaks for $7.98 per pound. My problem is - I work. Do you mean to tell me I am the only person that picks food up during the week after work with a family larger than 3? Why is it, the people that are home all day get to have a butcher on hand to cut their filet mignon or NY Strips, but me, the working class mother of 3 doesnt get that luxury?? I think its terrible that you lost business because of your poor choice in preparation. Nice try in ripping me off though, people that dont pay attention to price per pound are falling for your strategies but not me, Sir. You should consider having a butcher on hand for working class families that also like to eat well.
