I love that the bagels are wood-fired! I kind of wish I got the cold brew coffee instead of the iced latte though. The iced latte could have been more flavorful. Overall it was an enjoyable lunch!
Stopped in for coffee and bagel, was pleasantly surprised. Wish they had dine in available but not yet apparently.
As a former New Yorker, I can attest that Forage makes the most authentically pure, chewy, delicious bagels that are equal to that of which one could expect to find in Brooklyn... IF and WHEN you can actually order one.Today marks the fourth time Ive tried to place a bagel order at the Lewiston location only to find that theyve sold out of bagels hours before closing time. The woman I spoke with this morning confirmed that, yes, they often sell out well before 1PM but could not provide assurances that theyll increase their inventory to meet the demand.Guys. This is annoying. This is like going to your favorite coffee shop only to find that theyre out of espresso. The lasting impression I have of Forage is not your incredible food but instead that your menu is always sold out hours before closing. And one day I will give up. I will. So, please. Adjust your numbers or lose me forever. My 3-star rating takes in account the whole of my Forage experience. Are the people nice? Check. Is the food great? Check. Can I expect a consistent Forage experience? Nope.
Really awesome chewy bagels. Their menu offerings are relatively limited but all equally delicious.
The bagels are amazing and there are so many options! I love the jalapeño cream cheese. The coffee is also excellent.
Very very good sandwiches & bagels.
Some of the best breakfast sandwiches Ive had in a long time. The bagels are on point, as were the other ingredients. The greens were fresh, the everything seasoning had a really great flavor, as did the spreads especially the aioli.
So fresh, best breakfast sandwich around! The Chai Tea is perfect 👌🏽Now that I know you’re open I will be in frequently!!
I got the White Fish salad bagel and a cappuccino, everything was so good! Ordering online was really easy and they text you when its ready. When you go in, they have cubby holes that they place your order in for easy pick up!
We showed up around 11:30 on a Thursday and they were sold out of everything but plain bagels. I don’t know if that’s typical. Bagels were very good even though they toasted them when I asked them not to.
A great local area for breakfast and brunch. A must visit little café right in downtown Lewiston.
Great fresh breakfast sandwhichs, garlic bagel... and flavored caffeine beverages! Got the vegan breakfast sandwich and Im not even vegan, yum!!
Crazy good bagels, fire roasted. Great customer service and really cool look inside.
So good. Everything from the staff to art work is appealing. Today we had fresh Bagels, they were out of this world but sold out pretty quickly. They kept on making them though, the person asking about when the next batch would be ready was told 10 minutes. They seem to be on it and well aware of their popularity; ) getting day old breads and bagels are just as good and cheaper, dont pass by that option, for sure.
Great food amazing atmosphere wonderful staff make this place a must visit if you are in the area. Navig great location set up however parking is only one hour outside on the street but they are very forgiving. Everything about the inside is clean and very well thought out. Food service was very prompt and delicious. They had a single stall bathroom so all genders are able to use. The food is your basic breakfast assortment such as pastries, breakfast sandwiches and some fruit options. Yes they have a veagan/vegetarian option
The bagels are the best around by far!
Top notch food all the time, always worth a few minute wait!
This was a nice find! Awesome breakfast sandwiches on bagels all made with local goods!
Good food. Staff has a bad, pretentious attitude.
Bright and airy space with hand crafted food produced locally. Their breakfast sandwich on a sea salt bagel is my go-to order, along with a latte... life is good.
We tried it today, bagels were just awesome and coffee, on of the best I ever had after long time. I will recommend this shop whoever visits :)Simply awesome.
Bagels were good but very pricey and they charge $1 if you want butter. Not a large variety of bagels either.
I got everything bagel and a latte coffee, both were really good and my friends got sandwiches and those were also tasting really awesome. I got a second coffee(drip coffee) because i was so impressed with the first one :)
Oh yes, great place for a quick bite and a dainty coffee.
Love this place. The food is always good, and it is a comfortable spot to stop for coffee. One in our party had a simple bagel with cream cheese, another a salad, and then I had the breakfast sandwich, The Squealer. Greens were nice and fresh, the bagels terrific, all the ingredients are tops. Staff is nice, too.
I loved the crunch the brick oven added to my bagel sandwhich! The cafe has a lot of space to offer and a sweet atmosphere. Its pricier than what Id prefer to pay for breakfast, but I would definitely come again.
I just bought and ate a delicious... Delicious, sandwich made of baguette, brie, olives and arugula, and my only complaint is that I finished it and now its gone! :(
This place never disappoints. Every bagel and sandwich is great, and the drinks are amazing as well. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is humble yet clean and cozy. Can not recommend enough!
What a cool find on a visit home! This is now the kind of place thats popping up in bigger cities, but Im thrilled to see how busy they were on a Saturday morning. The line moved really fast, and I had no problem with the service at all. Food took from 10:15 until 10:30 for two sandwiches, a muffin, and an iced latte. The cashier checked on is a couple times, which was really nice.I did notice people werent great about paying attention to when the food runners were trying to find them. The latte was good and not too sweet, sandwiches were fantastic. We did a build your own for my 10 year old niece, who said her sandwich was, awesome. I had the salmon bagel sandwich, but cant remember what it was called. It was great, a good ratio of an of the ingredients. The muffin had a nice crunchy sugary top, too. Yum!All in all, Id definitely go back.
Pretty good... Especially if you like crunchy bagels. Good coffee. Cute space. Bagel sandwiches are messy (but, maybe all bagel sandwiches are?)
The best breakfast sandwich I have had in years. Excellent latte. This place is the real deal. What a lot of other places pretend to be but fall short. We will come here again on our way to the northern Maine coast.
I have been eating here since summer 2017. The atmosphere is very down to earth. Excellent food. Fresh bagels. My favorite would be the HAIR OF THE DOG. Which very good and still hot to the last bite. Customer service is great.
Good coffee
Ive only been there once and was highly impressed with what I ate. Very light, yet filling. Cant leave out the pastries and cookies. Lom
I love the atmosphere! Amazing, fresh, delicious, local food! Great service! I tried the BLT on an everything bagel today and it was SO good!
Hands down best bagels I have ever had (And I’m a New Yorker!) The matcha latte is also amazing. My go-to place on Sunday mornings when I’m in town.
Forage market was a pretty big open restaurant that had unique furniture and artwork around. I had a simple bagel with cream cheese and a medium coffee. The bagel was above average but not the best Ive had in my life like some people are saying. But it definitely was tasty. The coffee wasnt for me. It was relatively strong so if you like stronger bolder coffee then you might enjoy it.
I love visiting Forage each and every chance I get. The cold brew coffee is VERY affordable and super delicious. The bagels are BOMB! The soup is really good. The staff is always super fabulous and friendly! The place is always hopping and everyone always seems so happy being there and I could see why. Parking is a little challenging at times but I highly recommend a visit to Forage if you can find a spot to park. Also, this place is super liberal and LGBT-FRIENDLY for those who love that kind of atmosphere like I do :) Be prepared to be welcomed as you are here.
Always fast service considering the crowds. The drink selection is great, always something to quench your thirst, and the bagels of course are incredibly delicious. My favorite topping is the salmon cream cheese.
Simply the best Bagel ever. Period. Coffee is great as well and beats the pants off D&D and is comparable to Starbucks without being pretentious. Worth the visit, in fact Im going again tomorrow since Ill still be in town.
I wanted to really enjoy this place. The dining area is really cute and it gives off the vibe of a place to enjoy brunch with a girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered bagels, 2 different cream cheese and the Lox sandwich to go. The Everything cream cheese was really good but my Lox sandwich was more vegetable than lox and for $9 I wouldve appreciated more of the latter. I will try this place again and possibly a different breakfast sandwich.
Great refuel after a 22 mile run. Had the Squealer on a sea salt bagel. Amazing!
Best bagels around. Good coffee. Nice staff. Long wait if its busy lunch hour. If you want to buy local, dont miss this place. Lots of locally sourced foods and beers.
The coffee was very good and squealer sandwich was excellent. Great vibe to the place. Our friends who ordered ahead of us didnt get their order and had to leave so they seem to need some work on kitchen/ serving logistics.
Great gourmet food something good if your looking for better than average cuisine!
Delicious breakfast sandwich on a freshly made bagel. The atmosphere is eclectic and fun. Highly recommend!
A great breakfast and lunch spot. They now have GF bread!
Great little local find. Relaxed atmosphere, fresh bagels, friendly people, coffe/lattes, and two tables out front floor a perfect day like today!
Not the most efficient service but they have great food.
As a Brit I have very high standards for such establishments. And this exceeds them.Staff are really friendly, especially Alyse. All put up with the customers some of whom seem rather mean and impatient. One customer got angry because they had run out of bagels close to closing time, and did not understand that they could not just bake more because the food is made and cooked from scratch - the whole process takes hours. If you want a poor tasting bagel microwaved from frozen then go to a fast food restaurant.Their bagels have won awards! If it was my establishment such complaining would have me taking out my slap glove for a firm backhand to the cheek and dismissing the uncultured swine. Though I understand that the American custom is to smile with gritted teeth.Despite the occasional crowds food is still served at a good pace and to a high quality. The atmosphere is also very inviting, and is a great place to study and read. Music choice is usually good but a background ambience so a conversation without shouting is possible.10 out of 10. Would emigrate to make this my local.
Totally love Forage Market. Great coffee. Amazing wood fired bagels daily, their breakfast sandwich is by far the best you will ever have! Then wood fired pizza Thursday-Saturday nights. Totally check this place out.
Good coffee and good food, it is pretty expensive to go often though.
What a unique and fun find! I love bagels and found their wood fired bagels to be delicious- crispy crust on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. They are very generous with the cream cheese (NYC style).Ambiance is very trendy/hipster. It wasnt crowded when we went but I imagine it could be at times. The only thing is I wish they had more bagel and cream cheese varieties.
Exceptional eveything and amazing space! I grew up in Lewiston and now live out of state. I am so in love and thrilled a spot like this is now in my hometown. 🤘
I visited after reading a New York food critic call the bagels here among the top 5 in the country. Ive been here a few times now and had a very consistent experience at each visit. Excellent quality product, less than stellar service. Ill keep going back because the food is very high quality.I find the staff a bit pretentious and preoccupied with their own hipness to pay much attention to me, a customer standing at the counter. Each time Ive visited Ive had the impression that Im invisible as the staff walks by me at the counter without so much as a hi, be right with you. If they were serving others, I could understand, but sometimes they are just leisurely rearranging croissants in the display while I stand unacknowledged.Still, it has no competition for quality of the product. So, I guess Ill keep being ignored for the chance to enjoy a good bagel (and more).
I wish all food was sold like this. Delicious, fresh, and with an amazing atmosphere and service. The bamboo toothpicks were just the icing on the cake, so cute!!
Excellent food and coffee. Great location and service. Salt bagels are amazing and the BLT is excellent. Most of the baked goods are also high quality and take home items such as yogurt and, cream cheese and raw milk are good and available.
Very cool place. Great wood fired bagels. It was incredibly busy on a Saturday and my wife and I waited 1 hour for a single bagel with cream cheese and a green tea. They were slammed. Id like to be back with it isnt so busy.
Google recommended me to this place. Did not regret it. I am on a 14 days trip and 3 of my breakfast took place here. I like this place and their pickle onion. I will visit again when I am in Maine in the future.
Food is great, staff is very welcoming. Highly recommend
You are immediately hit with the warm and inviting atmosphere and decor as soon as you enter. I was greeted with a smile and the young man at the counter remembered me from a previos visit. He was very friendly and helpful. His genuine Customer Focus gives me hope in this world where service has been sacrificed for ease. The staff made a great suggestion and the sandwich and coffee were exceptional. It was not surprising to see the place so busy even later in the day. Make sure you stop by and experience what they are doing at Forage Market. You wont be sorry.
What a pleasant surprise! All local craft foods, excellent quality and delicious. The coffee is outstanding. The place has a great vibe and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely return!
Forage Market is an awesome stop for bagels and coffee originally founded as a Farm to Market experience they still provide fantastic Deli and cheese sometimes amazing local produce. Forage Market also offers fine wine fantastic beer and amazing artwork. Forage Market is the center of culture and activity for the downtown Lewiston Lisbon Street District.
I try to stop in every time Im here for work, and Im never disappointed. The food is exceptional, people are friendly, atmosphere is very laid back. Highly recommended, I cant speak highly enough of this place.
Cute little downtown Lisbon st place. All homemade and local food. Very hipster but that makes it fun and the sea salt bagels they make in house were delicious.
Amazingly fresh and delicious bagels and croissants. Excellent coffee. Friendly service.
Very cozy. Busy, but thats because the food is so amazing. Great selection of teas and specialty coffee drinks. Would be best described as a hipster paradise that anyone can feel welcome in.
I was told that Forage had the most wonderful bagel sandwiches, I just went for my first time, no bagels at 1:04 pm so I had to settle for a 7 grain bread BLT, TERRIBLY disappointed, hardly any mayo on the bread, a very small slice of tomato and a 1/2, a VERY tiny sandwich made very poorly for $7.56 period. NO Chip or even a pickle. NEVER going again, lesson learned....
Really exceptional place that is very popular. Great bakery, deli, sandwiches with produce, packaged products, along with shelf and cooler beverages. Really warm, friendly service and atmosphere.
Very good sandwiches at a very reasonable price. No decaf espresso drinks, though. Very disappointed by that.
Bagels are good but for whatever reason they cant properly toast a bagel. A bagel with cream cheese should be hot to the touch. They send them out room temperature. This has happened repeatedly.
Best bagels in New England! High quality, healthy food choices for breakfast and lunch. Many people treat Forage as an internet cafe. Very good coffee.
Love the bagels!!! They are amazing! They occasionally run out later in the day so go early. A couple weeks ago it was slammed and it took over an hour to get a bagel and hot tea. Maybe try going during non-peak hours. Great space!
Good food. Homemade bagels I think. Otherwise diverse menu and great service.
Great atmosphere. Creative, delicious food. Wonderful owners.
Forage Market is a really quaint shop for coffee, tea, sandwiches, and other similar meals (as well as wine and beer for those with pallets for local drinks!) I really enjoyed the environment here. All employees seemed really friendly, and the indie vibe was incredibly welcoming-especially for college age individuals.
We loved the way it was decorated! The food was wonderful. Very fresh and healthy. It can get pricy though but was worth it.
My favorite ppace. Ever. A friend of mine was the one who told me about this place when I was working downtown and need to find some place in walking distance for lunch. I was delighted to find a local place with not only delicious food but healthy options to eat if you have an alternative diet. Whenever I take my kids to the library we stop in to get them a treat. I love the environment and how kind and friendly the staff are. It can get a little busy at times but its well worth the wait.
I love the bagels here. So does everyone else. Good coffee, great espresso drinks. Kombucha options have diminished, and things can get slow during busy times, but always happy to go to Forage.
This place is where it is at, when it comes to taking a nice munch on while relaxing or reading a 📖 or sipping on some coffee trying to catch up on some revision. Great ambiance! I like the place.
Bagel themed sandwiches and breakfasts, with good, house-baked fresh bagels - would be even better if whole grain. Good coffee and tea. Clumsy, stand-in-line ordering.
Might be the best cup of coffee Ive had. Everything looked so good. Muffins and bagels are excellent. Comfy vibe.
