Awful!! I am updating my comment regarding Riverview Marina in Lewiston. Two years ago I purchased a new Yamaha Jet boat from this facility. My salesman was a great guy, we agreed to the price, and we scheduled to pick up the boat the following Friday. He was going to be gone that day, but had it all arranged with the owner for me to pick it up. I had a 23 1/2 foot Chaparral with the 454 engine with all of the bells and whistles. I had a buyer waiting for my boat, had already agreed to the price, and he was waiting until I found a new boat (jet boats are safer for young grandchildren), so on the Tuesday before I went to pick up my new boat at Riverview Marina on Friday, I delivered my boat to my buyer. On Thursday, the night before I was to pick up the boat, at about dinner time, I got a call saying that they had saved me the trip to Lewiston. They had sold the boat out from of under me. That was a big problem as we already had a boating outing planned with my family. And now, I no longer had a boat. So I took that money that I had saved (sic), and gave it to my kids for Christmas. If you are going to deal with this dealer, you should exercise care. By the way, there was never an apology from the owner/manager, probably because he didnt care. Thats the facts folks. Take care!
Great place, GREAT service department, GREAT parts department!!! Great place to get your boat worked on, service dept is VERY helpful!!!
Good customer service and helpful information
Wow! Go buy a boat from Riverview Marina! Rick Ireland was a huge blessing. He helped us newbies and spent so much time educating and answering our questions to get us comfortable with everything. He went above and beyond and even got us into a local shop to get our electrical ready on our truck for towing. We made the purchase over the phone and came in from out of state to pick up and without Rick it probably wouldn’t have happened. Also a big thank you to Bridget for her help getting us the info for insurance so quickly. :)
Very happy the fellas that work here. Excellent service and products. They did a great job working on my boat.
Unbelievable a husband and wife ready to buy a boat can walk around for 45 mins and not one person is around to talk to. Disappointed, but 2 hr drive north to Marks Marine is clearly worth it.
They take such good care of us!! Bill worked on our boat when a safety plug was bad, and made sure he had it done before we went camping. We took it out on the water later that week, and another problem arose. We were dead in the water without a clue what was wrong. I called Bill and asked if he could help us know what to do. He walked us through several things over the phone, got it running, told us what to do next, and it ran perfectly the rest of the time! Then he called me the next week to make sure it ran good the whole time! Thank you Bill and Riverview Marina for your excellent service and compassion!
Unbelievable how these people stay in businessA. Service Manager1. Does not return phone calls2. Emails3. Probably does not understand text messagingBUTB. Prices are off the chartC. Inexperienced young man knew about as much as me. Sold me wrong gas filter for my motor. But they had fast service and willing to listen and look at my problem.
They have not had what I needed twice, despite their website saying they do. Their staff is unfriendly. Not very helpful.
Never have been fans of Riverview. Its always something with them.Too many bad experiences to list. Out most recent deal made us decide to cut our losses and move on. Horrible customer service. We will order anything we need online or drive to Spokane from now on..nothing we need will ever make us want to purchase at the local boating supply store again. It can wait.
Riverview did me a great job
I am writing this review as a warning for any one thinking of purchasing any used or otherwise product from this company. I purchased a 06 Custom Weld Storm trading in my previous 04 Custom Weld Viper. The dealings with the sale of this boat was not bad I took the boat with the sales rep out and test drove it noticing small issues like a cylinder mis and tac that was not functioning. As well I asked specific questions about how the boat was prepped for sale like trailer bearings and brakes as well as checks performed on the boat and was told that the bearings on all trailers are inspected and repacked and the boats are completely gone through “ Being that the grease caps where replaced on all axles I assumed this to be true.” I purchased the boat and brought it home a 350mile trip and after licensing was taken care of and inspecting the boat “finding several electrical issues a burnt plug wire and fouled cap and rotor” took the boat an additional 150miles out. During the drive out the trailer started pulling to the left with a shudder. After pumping the bearings full of grease and returning home I removed all wheel hubs and inspected the bearings finding the left rear had been replaced after a previous bearing failure that had destroyed the spindle of which the new bearings where thrown over the top of without repairing with the bearings fitting loosely on the spindle. All other bearings had old grease and the bearings and races rusted and pitted out. The tires showed signs of cupping of which I passed off on the faulty bearings. I contacted Riverview on the issue and was told that I must have done something wrong and that 500 miles is a lot of use for a set of bearings. “If anyone reading this thinks 500 miles is a good run for a set of bearings well……..NO its not.” I asked again about there checking of the bearings and was told that they lift the tires and spin them and that’s the way they have been performing this task for 20+ years. “Just FYI just because you have been doing something for 20 years is not an indicator of your knowledge of performing this task correctly and that is not the correct way.” I have now been waiting for them to respond as they have told me they would assist me in finding and replacing this axle………..That was a month ago. I had to put the trailer back together in some fashion to move it from its location. During the install and alignment of the removed axle it was found that the front axle is bent as well and that is the cause of the cupped tires. This damage most likely was caused by them moving the boat with a forklift and spinning the trailer in one spot.I am now in the prosses of performing the repairs myself as Riverview not only isn’t assisting me in any way it has come to my understanding after inspection of the boat and of the trailer and dealings with this company that there intent is to look over and cover up any flaws or major issues to stuff their pockets passing on major repairs to their customers.I do take my responsibility in this as I am a heavy equipment mechanic by trade. I should have known better and have performed a better inspection on the trailer and boat before purchase or taken it to some one to be inspected. If any of you are like me you tend to get glass eyed new toy tunnel vision and can overlook things.I also understand that I will not be getting any further response from this company or can expect any assistance after righting this review. 1 I think people should be warned and told about issues such as this. 2 they where not going to anyway.“So warning to all have any used item and most likely new item inspected by another party before purchasing or better find another place to take your business.” This company doesn’t stand behind there sales and will cover things up in order to move product.
Stopped in bought a boat from Rick Ireland had a great day now Im fishing in comfort
Riverview Marina services and winterizes our outboard motors every Fall and does excellent work.
I bought a Honda BF2.3D outboard motor from Riverview Marina on June 3rd. The price was competitive, but upon inspecting the motor before the purchase I noticed that the Throttle Grip Friction Knob was missing. I brought this to the attention of the salesman who promised to send me a replacement. Ive since called Riverview to ask about the status of the part, but only been given vague promises that someone had finally found the part number and that I would receive a phone call when it was shipped. Now a month later I am still missing the part, havent gotten any phone calls, and have had to resort to using a bolt I found at a local hardware store as a temporary solution. Needless to say, the experience has been quite frustrating, and not at all what I expected when buying a brand new Honda engine!
Great business.
Great customer service & very timely.
Update: I was refunded for unauthorized work and the service manager personally apologized. I feel everything has been righted, also thank you Rick for helping facilitate things :)Had nothing but problems here from doing unauthorized work to overcharging. The work they said they performed I will have to take elsewhere to have fixed. Their service manager has lied through his teeth about resolving the problem, Im sure he included the owner without talking to him as he said they would resolve my problem which he thinks if he ignores me enough Ill just go away and forget about this. There were more problems than I have listed here but I will post them on other review sites.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff will answer all your boating questions. Custom Weld boat shop is happy to put together the boat you need
Nice friendly people and great service
Very helpful staff
They are always helpful
Friendly and helpful!
They were very helpful. They did all they could.
Our motor sat there for two weeks before they fixed it. It took them only one hour, but they kept putting it off, before we arrived to pick it up and take it to another place, they finally fixed it.
So friendly
What a rip off. Dont take your boat there!
Wow. Talk to Rick and Brice if you want to be schooled in jet boat manufacturing and history.
Fast friendly service.
Always great service
Great owners.
