Quickest eye exam ever, never even gave me drops or checked the scarring on my retina from an old injury thats supposed to be checked yearly. My glasses order was wrong the first time, and the frames were loose and needed tightening but instead the woman glued the hinges open so I couldnt close/fold them to go in the case at night! Went back and they said theyd have to replace the frames. Went back again when the frames came in only to be told that they didnt need replacement just something to soften the glue. Within a few months the frames are loose and dont fit properly. The anti-scratch I paid extra for doesnt work and as someone who takes excellent care of my glasses, my lenses are so scratched its affecting my vision. I wont return there!

Called to make an eye appointment waited on the phone for 14 mins. Someone finally picked up! They couldnt find me in the system finally found me but couldnt find my insurance info. Asked me about it, told them it is the same insurance I used a year ago! Said I couldnt come in until I called them back to give them an up dated insurance info! I asked to speak to a Manager and she said sure hold on one min! Transferred me to someone who wasnt even in the building. I had to leave a message!

Their glasses prices are absolutely crazy and its cheaper to be blind. I was quoted over $1000 for their ugly frames & edge to edge visibility. I went to Eyemart in Auburn and got 2 pairs for $400. Outrageous

I went in for a follow-up for my new contact lenses, was told it was for next month by the secretary (which Ill admit was my bad). However, she told me I needed my insurance card and id before even checking to see if I was on file. Also, she couldnt even get my address correct even though she was clearly looking at the computer screen. Was rude and kept telling me my appointment would take half an hour (which at this point was irrelevant). It shouldnt take over a month to get contacts and they should hire people who pay attention.

Staff always goes above and beyond to help us coordinate what our insurance allows with the best frames and lenses for us. They make sure my teenage boys find something they feel confident wearing. All providers and staff are respectful, pleasant, and explain things not just to myself, but so that my boys understand what is being said as well. I would highly recommend this office.

Everyone was so friendly, not at all pushy to buy glasses from them. Great experience!

Dr. Wm. Gove is the consummate professional. He provides outstanding care, attention to detail, and follow up. I recommend him, specifically, extremely highly.The Maine Optometry practice, however, has earned the absolute lowest possible score on a review that I could possibly share. I have had issues with billing. It took approximately six weeks to get two pairs of eyeglasses. Today, I arrived for an appointment with Dr. Gove and only after such time as I was seated in the exam chair did I learn that he was no longer practicing at this particular location.It is a shame that Dr. Gove is squandering his a mans skills and talents at this abysmal practice. Its regrettable that the business practices of this particular provider has made it impossible for me to continue receiving care from Dr. Gove.

I got an appointment the next day, and was in and out in 30 minutes. I got exactly the care I needed!
