Chad does great high quality work and is much better to deal with than any large chains who are in with insurance companies. He made my old truck that hit a deer look like new and used OEM parts. He also let me use an upgraded grill that made my truck look better than new. I like to support honest hard working small business people who stand behind their work. Chad appreciates the business and is responsive. Plus I feel good about supporting his small business, especially these days.

TDLR: Professionalism, communication, high quality work, and great value.When looking for collision repair businesses, I was directed towards Chad. The person that I talked to praised Chad for his professionalism and communication skills. Within an hour of me talking to him, I got a damage estimate and he sent the pictures of the damages to the insurance within the same day! All throughout my transaction with him, I was kept updated on the progress of my vehicle and any further damages he found were added into the invoice. We had no trouble with insurance checks and the car was completed within a reasonable period of time. When I came to pick up my vehicle, I found that his work was perfect. The car looked almost brand new with a fresh coat of paint. There were no scratches or dings that were not previously there. If I ever need any more collision repair or body work, Ill go back to Chad as he is worth every penny. Thank you Chad!

Most reasonably priced placed to get bodywork/paint done on your car. (Other places quoted me 2700 and 2000 for the job ... this guy did it for 1300) and the guy doesnt try to oversell you on parts or work which cant say about other places. Highly recommended

Well established business. Reputable management. Would like a little more communication but I guess he would not be working to get vehicles repaired if he was communicating all the time. Honest body shops are hard to find but this one really is.

Velvet Hammer Paint & Body Shop is a small local shop in downtown Lewisville. The man that owns it is very nice, helpful, experienced, and reasonable. He does an incredible job at fixing cars, even if they arent in the best shape. He also does free detailed estimates and tries to find the best prices on parts to save you money. I will say from experience, I have brought my car to him several times and he has made my car look brand new. Also this is a Christian owned shop which is nice. I always recommend Velvet Hammer to anyone who needs their car fixed after and accident.

Quality repairs and great service. The owner is a great guy and is on site daily. A body shop that works for the car owner and doesnt let insurance companies muscle their way into making use of low quality parts or substandard repairs.

This had been a decent place to have work done. Slow but the quality of work was good. The last time we used this place the owner made a huge mistake. A check was mailed to him from the insurance company. It was on a bumper he NEVER fixed. He refused to give us the check even though it WAS clear he had already been paid for the work he had done. He only paid after many many phone calls and proff from the insurance co that it CLEARLY WAS NOT his check!! Bad bad bad!!

Fixed my car faster than he said he would, for less money.

Got into an accident at the beginning of January 2017 and messed up the front of the car pretty bad. Both headlights werent working and the front of the frame needed to be realigned about 2 inches. Some family recommended Velvet Hammer and my gf and I went to check it out. The owner was friendly and checked out the car first. He wrote up a quote that seemed realistic for how bad it looked but it was mostly going to be original manufactured parts, and I was pretty pressed for money and had literally just gotten another job to pay for some other bills. I asked the owner if he would be able to work with parts I brought in from online (bc I knew about rockauto, used it many times) and he was the one to say that he actually knew a guy that had stock and after market parts that hed be able to order and install quicker than me bringing him parts. He wrote up a new quote that was about $800 cheaper, and we agreed on it. Whenever I came to pick up the car it was in great condition and the owner told me that the bill even ended up being about $100 less than he quoted. I was really impressed and I always recommend this place to anyone I know has gotten into a wreck. Definitely a quality and honest local business in Lewisville! Support your community yall.
