Visited for the first time today and was beyond impressed. Incredible selection of products, extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, and good prices. It’s easy to tell the staff here genuinely love and are passionate about what they do. I went in expecting it to be a 10 min visit but was there nearly an hour and loved every minute of it. One of the best, if not the best hobby shop I’ve ever been to.

This place is wonderful! I stopped in just to see what they had, and I was very impressed. They had a large counter specifically for RC car and plane parts, as well as a smaller model rocket section.Honestly, the model section was a little overpowering, because they had so many. I went in looking for drones, and they only had one drone company available. I know there are a lot of companies though, so its understandable.There is literally something for everyone in this store oh, and the prices looked very competitive!

Im really into R.C. vehicles and HobbyTown USA has a great selection of R.C cars, trucks, buggies, truggies, short course trucks, crawlers, submarines, boats, tanks, airplanes, drones, RTR Drag racing cars and more!Being able to obtain support, upgrade, and repair parts when you need them, for a Hobby-grade RC vehicle is very important because when it gets broken (and it WILL get broken! IF you dont break it youre not driving it right!), you have to do the repairs and get back on track with your RC Adventures. Always keep this in mind when looking to purchase an RC vehicle. Ask if they carry a full line of parts and if they are on hand & in stock for whatever vehicle you have your eye on.

This review is specifically pertaining to the service I CONSISTENTLY get from an employee that goes by the name of Casey! This cat seriously needs a promotion! I routinely watch him juggle helping 4 or 5 needy customers (myself DEFINITELY included) and he does so with a smile on his face (well, presumably since hes wearing a mask)! And let me tell you, as a relative newb, its all too often that I get short, borderline patronizing/condescending assistance from hobby shop pros that give me the feeling theyre above helping me with my trivial inquiries! Well let me tell you, youre not going to get that at Hobbytown, AND YOURE DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO GET THAT FROM CASEY! Top notch! PAY THE MAN!

Great place for real toys you cant find elsewhere. I got a slot car track to race with my 3 year old daughter. She loves when I add commentary and the controls are simple enough for her to have fun. She loved picking her own car off the shelf. Much better experience than shopping online.

Really cool toys and things. My husband likes getting his kites from there, and they sale the old school Dr. Pepper and cream sodas.

Pretty good size and selection shop. 3.5 stars if i could. I came in looking for a new 1/8 car for a friend and some starters for my new rig (body clip holders and paint for a new body shell). Salesman was alright; a younger fellow who didnt seem to have a lot of expertise in what i was looking for, but was helpful enough. Many parts werent available here, and i wasnt told that the new line of the trucks i was getting already came with body clip holders, but i didnt really care about that since i was getting a new body anyways. Good selection of paints and prices were great for paints, good for parts. If Youre looking for a new rig id recommend, but not for upgrades as the selection for specific cars may be lacking because of the wide variety of models offered. Shop has lots of other items like games, models, figures, toys, etc, and is a fun walkthrough. SUPPORT YOUR BRICK AND MORTAR HOBBY SHOPS!

Its a great place with a lot of things for most hobbies, though the model trains section is very lacking. Just a handful of trainsets and a few pieces of tracks. Kinda looking forward to more individual rollingstock and locomotives in HO. Visiting from Houston.

Brought in my 4tec. Needed help with the servo an connecting the control to the car. They helped me out very much. I still dont know about these lil cars yet.

Great place, very courteous and helpful staff. Been out of the R/C hobby for quite a while. They helped me get everything i need and gave me advice on how to not catch the new batteries i ordered on fire. New go to place.

They have an awesome selection, the employees are amazingly helpful, they answer any questions that you might have, if they dont have the part you need for your RC car or model they can order it and have absolutely no problem doing so. The reviews say knowledgeable staff but everytime I asked a price they had to ask someone else or acted liked they didnt know which object I was pointing at.I am very disappointed in service received there.I have been in several times browsing b/c I am looking for a hobby for my son and I.I have never had anyone ask to help or find out my interest there.I tried website but I am still confused and need help.I finally took my son and we planned on purchasing 2 rc cars but Noone helped us or really seemed to be interested besides a customer who gave me a few tips.I wish I would have exchanged numbers with him.We ended up purchasing one about $179 but wanted one that was over $200.I kept inquiring about it a real helpful employee like reviews says would have shown me and answered any questions and got me to leave with it.I would have taken 1 for me and 1 for son. Couldnt get Ps5 so we were going for a hobby instead. I spend 200+ on my shoes so cars would be better investments. I even complained in a nice pleasant way to lady that rang me up. She said I should go to a location further away and maybe I could get help there b/c she works there. Im thinking why when you couldnt help me here.All I wanted was a little help with explaining speeds and pricing so I could start giving them all my money. This hobby doesnt seem to be cheap so I just dont want to throw away money.I guess the 170 was enough for them. If it were busy I would understand but I even waited until we were last in store with with atleast 6 employees. I guess maybe we didnt look like their normal customers we dont get that service. Sad because all money spends same and my son is disappointed because we only bought 1and he wanted me to race with him.Now Im online trying to find another place to shop.Very disappointed and upset for my son.

Knowledgeable staff, great selection of RC Cars and Trucks in stock as well as mods and OE Parts.

HobbyTown has much more than top of the line remote control cars. You can find FANTASTIC gifts for kids and adults. They have a huge selection of non-traditional games (board, cards, dice, question type games) and nick-nack type toys along with traditional, old fashion games and toys. They have some Shark Tank goods as well. The staff has always been extremely helpful and the facility is very clean and up to date.

Love this store. Great selection of models and supplies. Staff is always friendly. They greet you when you walk in, give you a chance to wander then always touch base to see if you have any questions. Plus, they sometimes have great out of production stuff.. assuming they buy collections.

They offer professional service, and are willing to answer any question you may have. Definitely recommend coming here for all of your hobby needs.

Good staff, good parts selection and decent prices

I live an hour and a half away and I love making the drive just to buy parts and check out their crawler parts selection. Two thumbs up!!!

Great store with tons of specialty tools and materials for those interested in model making and RC vehicles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Every time I looked confused or a bit lost (which was often!) someone offered to help me out or make a suggestion.

Well I went to look for a toy and as soon I enter one of the guy at the register yelled at me I don’t know why and most of them are rude

Full of interesting items with a lot of them on sale at attractive prices. Employees are courteous and knowledgeable. Its like half price books of toys. You can spend hours here and not be bored. I picked up a motorcycle model of Honda NR750 (rare) for just $2.99 while the wife found stuff to add to her dollhouse collection.

With a lot of specialty places Im always nervous that Ill feel like an outsider. As a newbie looking for a hobby I was worried Id feel lost but the staff were great and very helpful. They were able to answer any questions I had and were very patient. Ill be sure to stop by more often.

The staff working there is friendly and always willing to help. Even though they didnt have the coupling I needed for my airbrush, the gentleman wanted to make sure I was set to get back to work. Their concern for what Im working on is why I start here when I need bits for my projects.

I went into HobbyTown for the first time today. I brought my dad, who is not all there do to an injury, but he needed to get out of the house and he wanted to come here. First of all the place is just cool. So many different kinds of things to appeal to everyone. And the staff was wonderful. He helped me find something cheaper than the first thing my dad picked. And helped me stall Dad at the register while I called my stepmom to okay the purchase. I wish I had gotten his name. 10/10 will come again. Outstanding customer service.

This is my go to hobby shop. If they dont have something I need, most cases they can get it. The name Adam is amazing, extremely knowledgeable and a great help. Entire staff is helpful and can answer any questions you have. They have a little of everything and stay on top of whats current. If you had a bad experience in here then I bet it was your fault.

Great local business! They have a huge selection of games, toys, and ALL the Traxxas repair parts we need to keep ours rolling. The is staff is always friendly and helpful, they have all the answers. We always leave with what we needed and maybe a new fun surprise or gift for a friend.

Bought my grandson a Stampede for Christmas and the staff was most helpful. Good selection for what were looking for. Will go there when grandson is ready to upgrade to a more advanced vehicle.

Place is full of things for hobbyists. They have train sets, air planes, 3d puzzles, comic figures etc. They also carry different parts to build or design your own trains, planes, hovercrafts, drones and such.

This place is WAY better than the Plano store. Well worth the drive for me.

Lots of tools and kits that cover a wide range of hobbies. Has a selection of novelty offerings with a wall of puzzles and brain teasers. They have a great deal of gas powered rc vehicles and gas powered RC vehicles.

To very good hobby store they have a huge selection of RC cars board games RC planes in other little a hobby enthusiasts type of things Its definitely not like a Hobby Lobby its a lot better. The only complaint I have is that they are slightly overpriced compared to other retailers.

I personally come here a lot. Even though I cant afford some of the items i would want to purchase the employees assure me that if I did purchase some of these items I would have am amazing time with them. I have been to this store many times and Gerald have helped me many times and i ended up buying things based of of his recommendation and they worked. But when i went yesterday i also met Adam in Addition to Gerald - they were both really helpful and since i was stuck on a science fair project for my kids and didn’t know how to proceed, they provided necessary guidelines to get over the hurdles and my family was really happy that they wouldn’t have to start over the project - so in my opinion no brand is a brand until you provide quality/unique service/product and despite having great or unique product you MUST need amazing people like Gerald and Adam to make any brand stand otherwise no one would be pleased. If i am ever the owner of any company and looking for team members, i would want people like gerald and adam because of their many qualities. Hobby stores are the best, especially when kids are bored being at home for a while.

Good inventory, but told me they would test my train on track they said they had. When I drove 20 miles to get there, there was no track and did an inaccurate test on train trying to get me to have them work on it for $55 an hour. Dishonest over phone.

People here are very friendly and courteous. Extremely knowledged in their hobby products. Best place to go for answers for new hobbyists.

Staff is friendly and helpful by and large, but the selection is somewhat lacking. They seem to have a little bit of everything, but not a lot of any one thing. This gives the impression of a good selection but if you need anything specific it quickly becomes a we can order it in situation. Also, their credit card machine is older and cant process Canadian Visa or Mastercards.
