The service was great. The taste was good.....until we realized the bottom or the turkey was not completely cooked.the directions said to cook it on 325 for 60-75 minutes but just yove safe I cooked for about 2 hours. It wasnt until we were packaging the turkey up that we realized it was not done. Thankfully we didnt eat too much but for $70, I am disappointed.

So far, no credit issued on my card, no email with your cell number and no return call to 3 messages Ive left by email and phone. I wasnt and still am not looking for something for nothing....You offered. I would just like you to do, at a minimum, what you said you were going to do.

Unfortunately, the reason for my low rating this time is because of an entirely avoidable and unnecessary experience I had recently with shipping the products this Thanksgiving season.I made the order online in plenty of time for the holiday and selected the 2 day delivery option. Correct shipping address, payment made, everything looked great and on track initially. All were looking forward to the arrival.2 days later, after I inquired about shipping status via phone and email, was told there was a discrepancy with the shipping address. The exact same USPS accepted address that all the other shipping companies manage to deliver to i.e. UPS, Amazon, FTD etc, never any issues.After a phone conversation and exchange of emails, was informed it would be shipped next day. On the day of scheduled delivery, received another email for this company that there was a discrepancy with shipping address. The same issue was supposedly fixed 4 days prior.Since a week had elapsed since the order was made and still not shipped, unfortunately I had to cancel the order because it would not arrive on time for the holiday. Waiting for refund to still process but Im assuming that will work correctly.Unfortunate, avoidable and unnecessary experience for me, hope no one else finds themselves in the position I was with friends and family expecting a Cajun deep fried turkey and sides for the holidays to have to figure out a plan B.Lots of other companies, provide similar products and are reliable. Our order arrived without dry ice or other means of keeping product cold, let alone frozen. I called to tell them the entire order (5 packages of gumbo) was completely thawed and warm. I was interrupted by the company representative who became very defensive and rude. I asked to speak with the owner; he offered to send me a replacement order at a 50% discount. Disappointed first time buyer. Order arrived 5 full days after shipping, yet website states 3 days. Box was not insulated and had no ice. Customer service blames UPS, Fed Ex, Covid 19 and the holidays for delays, yet they have done nothing to ensure their product can be delivered fresh. They should package their product like Hello Fresh or Home Chef. $150.- worth of food in the trash. Was really looking forward to some authentic Crawfish Étouffée.

I ordered a turkey from this company and it was amazing. My only complaint was the instructions tell you to reheat the turkey in the foil to hold in the moisture. Well I followed the instructions and after 75 minutes my turkey still was not done according to my thermometer. I was having company over in the next hour and needed the turkey. I said a prayer and took the foil off the turkey against their instructions. I created a foil tent over the turkey so it was not completely exposed. This helped cook the turkey faster while keeping it moist. The turkey came out juicy and amazing. I read some reviews that people reheated the turkey for two hours and it still was raw. In my opinion the instructions need to remove the foil or increase the time to account for the foil. We will definitely order again I will just not reheat the turkey in the foil as per the instructions.

My son brought a Spicy Cajun Turkey for Thanksgiving and it was delicious. We enjoy a little kick in our food and the seasoning was perfect. Only one problem, everyone loved it so much, there were no leftovers for turkey sandwiches!

Very disappointing, and expensive. For $100, I expected an exceptional turkey. What I received was a turkey that was not cooked through, raw in several places, and made me physically ill. The “geaux juice“ they brag about is almost nonexistent. The turkey was dry and the seasoning they added to the interior was collected in two or three areas; it was not spread out throughout the entire bird. I cooked it for the time specified on the package, but it was still not cooked through. I then cooked it longer, ate some of it and got sick. Don’t waste your money on this turkey!

Great location & the food is EXCELLENT!! Ive been a customer for the past 5-6 years and NEVER disappointed with service or quality of the meat. I suggest Spicy Cajun Turkey, its not spicy but the flavor is where it kills you. GOOD LUCK finding a better establishment.

I ordered shipment and paid for second day air. Package reached 5 days later - food is thawed and not safe to eat. I contacted customer service rep - all she could could tell me was that I was out of luck because I had accepted their terms and conditions. No apologies, no offer for refund or replacement. I have been emailing and trying to contact them since the day that the parcel was supposed to reach. I was asked to contact UPS for damages. When I contacted UPS I was told they would refund the vendor. Meanwhile I am out of pocket $230. If I could give zero stars I would.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - ESPECIALLY IF SHIPPING

Well my first time and last time. Paid $80 for a lightly seasoned Cajun turkey. Followed the instructions and placed in the oven for 75 minutes. Let the turkey cool a bit to remove the foil and when my guest arrived I carved the turkey and it wasn’t cooked through. So embarrassing. It was moist but not flavorful. In hindsight I should’ve gone w a Popeyes fried turkey for half the price and it tastes better!My two cents pass this place unless u have no other options! Would have given 1 star but they were open so I gave them credit for that.

I ordered a deep fried Cajun turkey for Thanksgiving. I followed the Cajun Turkey Companys heating instructions. The turkey rested 30 minutes after it was taken out of the oven. When I cut into the turkey it was raw. I put it back in the oven for another hour. The turkey was still not fully cooked. The meat was slimy and bloody. My family did not have turkey this year. I reached out to the company by email and also left a voice message requesting a refund, but have so far not heard back. I thought I would of at least received an apology. I paid over $90.00. This was a huge expensive disappointment.

I recently spoke with Billy, Owner of The Cajun Turkey Company, regarding a previous order that was purchased last October 2017. I had purchased a large amount of food items during the 50% Off Christmas in October Sale. I had fallen ill for quite some time where I was unable to retrieve my order that was purchased online during the half-off sale. I did not start recovering until early January 2018 which led me to believe that too much time had passed for me to be able to pick up my order, so all was forgotten, and I figured I would just chock up the $144 I had spent online during the companys major sale. However, to my amazement, a couple of days ago, I bought a Poches Stuffed Chicken at The Cajun Turkey Company and Kim, who is one of the main customer service reps during the holiday season, remembered that I did not come to pick up the order from last year, and she spoke to Billy on my behalf concerning this. She conveyed she would do everything in her power to get a credit for the food that was purchased through their company. Several days later, I received a personal phone call from Billy, where I was reassured that the full amount that I paid for all the food items that I wasnt able to retrieve would be credited back to me for purchasing from The Cajun Turkey Company which in my opinion goes above and beyond any kind of customer service that I have experienced from any establishment!! I was truly treated with such graciousness, and I did not even have to explain what took place; He just reassured me that I would receive a full credit for a $144 to spend at The Cajun Turkey Company. This food establishment proves to be very reputable in giving top-notch treatment to its customers and truly guaranteeing that their customers are taken care of. After last years mishap, we decided to give The Cajun Turkey Company a try again. We got the turkeys but were short an order of cornbread dressing. I contacted Billy and he said he would make it right. Not only did ship the extra cornbread dressing...we got two extra turkeys!!! Wow, talk about going the extra mile! It was supposed to be prepared and shipped for arrival on 11/25 (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving). On 11/24 (Tuesday) at about 8:30PM we received a call from the secretary that they could not fill our order. Really? A call 36 hours before Thanksgiving informing us that they couldnt fill the order? Weve invited 10 people to share Thanksgiving with us. Now, weve got to scramble to make other arrangements. The secretary said that we were one of a long list of customers she had to call with similar news. The owner didnt even have to courage or decency to make these calls, personally. I just hope this review will prevent someone else from dealing with the problem. I gave it one star only because the system wouldnt allow me to select something lower.DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!

We did a Cajun Turkey Breast for Thanksgiving. Went back and got the full Cajun Turkey for Christmas. If you’re tired of the same ole, same ole turkey and want to try something new that is juicy with a spicy kick, then this is your spot. Super convenient to pick up whenever, takes about an hour to heat up in the oven and you’re done.

Billy gets it. He personally called me to advise me that they had run out of bread pudding, made more and that it would be shipped separately. He did this 2 days before Thanksgiving. Easily his busiest time of the year. He also knew I was a repeat customer and answered any questions I had. Billy made me feel and I honestly believe, that if necessary, he would have personally dropped it off at my house.I have not seen Customer Service like that for a long time. In addition he has the best products available and they are available year round. I am getting a ham for Christmas, plus using The Cajun Turkey Companies panoply of amazing products for all my catering needs year round.This Company has a ton of amazing products, besides amazing turkeys, available all year and should be considered a catering company. I have friends in England who love Thanksgiving dinner, but find it hard to find the food needed in England. I placed 2 orders for local pick up about 3 weeks in advance for Thanksgiving week assuming that everything was cooked in house locally. I had scheduled a pick up on Tuesday of Thanksgiving week thinking that it will be enough time to defrost.When I arrived, the store was more like a loading dock. Everything was shipped in from another warehouse, so if they did inventory wrong there is no back-up. The pick-up process was a nightmare. This was what bothered me the most since I had already placed my orders in advance for pick-up, the items should have been pieced together and placed in one place. But they waited until I came in only to run around looking for items to put my orders together. My orders were missing items, I had to compensate by choosing something else of equal value. This takes away someones else order. And even though they consciously know that they are short on inventory, they continued to push sales without knowing if the items belongs to an existing order. I witness a sales rep selling a side dish to a walk-in customer for it to be sold-out to the next customer.Overall, I was disappointed with the process but my money was refunded. The food was good. I hope in the future they will disclose how far in advance we should order to guarantee our orders.

Paid $15 for FEDEX shipment from Dallas to McKinney (30 miles). Website said 48 hours for my zone so should have had Tuesday. It is now Wednesday 7 pm and no turkey, no response to 4 emails, 10 phone calls, 2 voice mails. Nothing. 0 communication. 0 turkey for Thanksgiving!!

I contacted the honeybaked ham company and they would not help with the fact that i ordered a week in advance but my order somehow never arrived but claim it has arrived and its a day before Thanksgiving, To the rescue the owner of The Cajun Turkey Co. took my order at 7 PM on Tuesday and personally delivered it 24 hours later today. I had no way to get to the store before it closed(i work until7 and they close at 6) and he wanted me to have a delicious Thanksgiving meal!What a great company! I decided to order a turkey and some sauces for the first time from this place. I havent tried the turkey yet, but hopefully it will be good enough to make up for the horrible mismanagement of orders and stock at this place. I watched person after person try to pick up orders placed online, and more often than not, there was something they didnt have, so they would try to substitute something else or refund your money. What kind of company takes online orders with no regard to what stock they have and doesnt pull the orders together as they come in?? The bourbon pecan praline sauce was one the things I wanted the most, and they were out. I dont know if Ill be ordering again if they cant get their act together and handle orders properly.

Horrible to least say. we had placed an order of the 15th and asked to be shipped by the 21st payed in full, got a notification that one part of the order they ran out. here it is thanksgiving day no order. my family was set to try from this company for the first(and last) time. we are so disappointed with so many great reviews. BTW we tried calling/sending e-mails no one returned our inquiry to our order. i will continue to bombard this website for one full year with negative notices. this is so wrong..

I prepared the deboned chicken with cornbread stuffing with the Poches label. This product is a huge disappointment compared with the version XX sells. We cannot imagine Thanksgiving without a turkey from the Cajun Turkey Company!!! It has become a tradition in our family and we have never been disappointed!!

Initially I had a few hiccups placing my order, but Billy Howell, the owner, helped me sort it out personally. Having an owner who cares about his products and his customers should make this place a no brainer for anyone considering a fried turkey.

Friendly and family owned. The food is delicious!!

I Called 5 different times to make an order. you dont pick up or return phone call. Great business.
