Brigette greeted me as soon as I came in and was very helpful. I needed a minor repair done on a trombone but expected to wait a few weeks. They said this store has a repair tech so she took it to the back to have it checked out to see how long it would be. She brought it back ten minutes later completely fixed and even a few other touchups I didnt even ask for. She said Gregs been doing this for 35 yrs. Its obvious he enjoys his job and taking care of customers. This is my store for life.

He helped me tremendously by repairing our Buffet Prestige Low C Bass Clarinet! I needed this instrument working properly as fast as possible for practice, rehearsals, and concerts. I contacted several music stores and repair technicians but many of them were either overloaded with summer band repair and/or way too pricey $$$$$$$$.After asking several recommendations, I was told that the music and arts store in lewisville has an on-site repair technician! This was such a relief due to the urgency of needing the instrument ASAP!Upon arrival to drop off the instrument, I was greeted by their wonderful and helpful staff and got the ticket/estimate situated right then and there. Easy and smooth transaction! Also got myself some reeds! Great prices too!A day later I received a call saying the instrument is being looked/worked on for an estimate and was shocked on how inexpensive itll be! I was expecting to drop a few bucks for the repair! Bass clarinets are not cheap.... Another huge relief!Greg has magical hands! Before taking the instrument to Greg, it was a hot mess.... jacked up pads, chewed off corks, screws sticking too far in or too far out, alignment was horrendous, resistance of keys were terrible, upper and lower joint were not linking together. As a bass clarinetist myself I know how unfriendly bass clarinets are when one SMALL screw is slightly off adjustment. I tried to fix it myself but no luck.However! Greg is the man! He took on the challenge on getting this bad boy fixed! He did a WONDERFUL job! It plays and feels like new! Very smooth and beautiful response! I LOVE the work he did on this instrument! They also got me the screw that goes on the bell for the peg! Precise to the details!Definitely coming here for future repairs! 10/10 recommend!
Very much enjoyed my experience here. I went in search for a violin for an adult. The young man that assisted us was helpful and answered all our questions. I was completely unaware of what to buy and he gave wonderful insight,tips, and care of violin. The last advice he gave us was the best; he advised us to call Ethan Smith for lessons. Ethan is a fantastic teacher! Im new at everything and he has been patient with my learning. If you need violin lessons he is definitely your guy!
Horrible customer service, the associate at the store was rude and insulting, having no regards for customer service ( cancelled my class because I missed because of long Covid! Though charges fir missed class ). Despite me trying to negotiate not to cancel associate was simply rude .
Do not spend any money at this store or the McKinney store. They are intrusive and unwilling to help unless you give them all of you information to sell to third parties.They also only give you the most expensive options and refuse to offer alternatives. Do not shop here.
Poor customer service, don’t deserve any star. My husband was there to return an item. The person at the register just ignored my husband. He was never acknowledged by the store clerk(1/9/[email protected]). While he was waiting, the store clerk took care of another family who came after him. The clerk treat customers with color I guess. It’s really bad, at least to ask my husband why he is standing there. Please don’t treat or underestimate people with their color, we never know from where you get a help when you really need one, especially when the whole world is fighting with the pandemic. Great customer service from Kenny during my visit to purchase a birthday gift for my niece. Kenny was helpful with suggestions and even offered in store lessons. Took time to show the security measures taken inside the practice rooms...instructors have been background checked, doors with large windows and live cameras that I could watch outside in the hallway.Thank you Kenny!!!!
Very helpful service when I was looking to rent a 4/4 cello. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable though the whole process. Plus the store is using all the right precautions (mask, hand sanitizer) for customers while were fighting off the pandemic.

I went to get my clarinet repaired with Greg and I had the most incredible experience. I use my clarinet for marching band and there were a lot of troubles regarding just how old and bad the clarinet had gotten. I was a little worried about something but I’ll just say that I will never forget the unmeasurable kindness that I felt today from Greg. He truly helped me and my family a lot and was so kind throughout the process. We are always so thankful! I would 100% recommend their service and will come back in the future.

This store and their online rental systems are not connected and they can not track those orders. had a real bad experience with a return and store staff or online customer support have no clue what is going on or where to track. not impressed at all with the level of customer service.
Been a customer for years and Im not even a musician. My son had fun and valuable drum lessons there. Ive purchased a few odds and ends useful for my autistic son- head phones and ear plugs for drummers which have helped tremendously by allowing my son to sit through assemblies, parades, fireworks, etc with much more comfort. The staff is always great. Some employees know more than others but you gotta get experience some way, a lot is by time on the job. Give them a chance to right whatever it is you dont like. Heading there tomorrow to get sheet music .... Might try learning to play guitar. We will see if an old dog can learn new tricks. 🐶
I drop my flute off several weeks ago. I wasnt in huge rush to get back, I only play as hobby. I understand if I want done right it going to takes time. I wanted it done right. Greg is repair person at this shop. During this season of football games and marching band. He worked tirelessly on my flute along with several others along the way. My mine was quiet the project and more urgent instruments came to be fixed. I was understanding due the season. He explained what needed to be done and how he was going be able to fix everything one my flute. He is so amazing. Deserves a huge raise of for the hard work he put in fixing all these instruments. Really all he wants is Pat on back and thank you. He is very giving man and loves what he does. I had a great experience at this store. I rarely make a purchase without first reading the reviews, if there are any available, and after reading several extremely poor reviews on the music stores in my area I decided to go out of my way a bit and check out Music & Arts in Lewisville (although there were no reviews yet available.. Id rather try a store with no reviews, than one with bad reviews). I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, and the staff seemed happy to answer questions and assist me with my needs. I had forgotten my sons instrument and music list, and since they didnt have his school listed (since I dont live in the area), I assumed that I would have to drive back home and get it. One of the salesmen said he could look it up, which he did immediately. They didnt have the type of instrument that my son needed in stock so the salesman found that particular instrument at the Hurst location. He called to make sure they had it, gave them my information, ran my credit through, and gave me a credit slip before I left the store. I think I was in the store all of about 15 minutes before leaving with all the information I needed. I was very impressed with this location, and I will definitely continue doing business with them after today. They were very friendly and informative, and I felt that, as a customer, I was a priority.

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Employees not willing to help when they screw up. I went to Music Arts to have my sons trombone repaired, which I rent from them. The girl at the counter simply exchanged my trombone for an identical one. She assured me everything would stay the same. 2 months later, Im being billed for 2 trombones. How do you figure? (She screwed up royally). I called Music Arts. They told me called customer service. Did this back and forth a couple of times. Finally I called back to Music Arts In Lewisville and asked if they would do a 3 way call with customer service to resolve my problem. The girl flat out refused to help, stating she was busy with customers. Am I not a customer?? So therefore, I will find another music company to acquire a trombone for my son. I will not ever recommend Music Arts to anyone, and I will try to dissuade anyone from doing business with these people. They showed no compassion or interest in helping out with a problem they created.. Their customer service and people skills are lacking tremendously. Beware if you dare!!!
I was visiting in Las Colinas and needed to rent a clarinet for one month. This store came up on Google. They answered the phone quickly and immediately gave me all the details about renting instruments. The price was great, but the service even better. They carry quality instruments and reeds. They have instrument repair in addition. The employees were courteous and helpful. In addition, they have a website that does mail order. It is a full service store. Glad to see music/instrumental stores flourishing!
This store deserves some *major* credit. Carisse(the manager) and her staff are extremely knowledgeable. Theyre all great at engaging their customers, getting to know them, and most importantly, getting the best deal for them. Carisse deserves a huge shout-out though! She helped me figure out everything I need to know about getting my piano, then helped crunch the numbers to get us the best possible deal. I cant say enough good things about this place - They take care of you!
In addition to having good instruments, and knowledgeable staff, this store has a wonderful manager, Carisse, who was extremely helpful with some questions I had recently about my account and my rental agreement. I am so glad I called the local store. She helped tremendously!
First rate service this week! I ordered some mallets from another store to be delivered to the Lewisville store. When they didn’t arrive on the day I had to have them, Carisse, the store manager drove to the other location and picked them up for me. I had mallets inside of three hours of when we spoke.

I have purchased two guitars from here and plan to buy another here soon. The customer service is better than any other music store. i have only been playing guitar so im still pretty new to guitar and they have never made me feel dumb for asking newbie questions. This is the only place i feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about how i am going to be treated after i ask them. Carisse was absolutely the nicest person and actually helped me out with a exchange and did everything she could to make me happy. That is truly hard to find these days!! They remember me from my first purchase and make you feel very welcome. they have never tried to just sell me on the most expensive guitar and actually lead me to what i actually needed for me needs. They always inform you on the best deal and best time to buy. I will ABSOLUTELY continue to purchase everything i need as long as they have it. Thank you Carisse and your fellow staff! Yall are absolutely the nicest staff i have seen in a long time!!

A LOVELY woman named Carisse had already marked my account as cancelled AND SENT A REFUND CHECK which should be in my mailbox this week! Clearly this store is not only full of music lovers, convenient classes, and reasonably priced instruments BUT THEY ARE ALSO DECENT HUMAN BEINGS who take care of busy blonde moms who forget stuff. Their prices are ridiculous, and the staff is quite unpleasant. I have been paying monthly for the instrument maintenance and its a total waste. They always forget to fix something and would say -- you just have to bring it next time, the repairman is very busy and forgot it. What a scam.

Very poor customer service. Staff seems to have very little experience concerning instruments. Prices quoted for a repair are outrageous (3 times less in another shop with very good experience and service!!) and the returned instrument was even not well fixed. Very disappointed.
Some workers are very polite and pleasant but most are rude and standoffish...
Nice small shop, staff has treated me well. I took an old beat up sax in to bring it back up to snuff, the repair tech took a look at it and tweaked a couple thing at no charge. They dont pressure toward any specific brand on new models either, and let me try any horn I want. They do not have a wide variety of sheet music, but thats ok...I just usually order that from the internet anyways because Im looking for a specific piece. This is now my go-to local shop.
A bit pricey, and the staff wasnt very helpful. If the location is convenient for you its not a bad place to pick up supplies, but Id rather make a trip to the Samash in Richardson to make any big purchases for brass and woodwind.
Great selection but they person I spoke with wasnt knowledgeable at all.
I ordered a $700 drum set here over a month ago and recieved two partial shipments, I have called six or seven times and never receive any follow up from this company, They are polite on the phone and then hang up and drop the ball. If I could give it a no star I would.

Called ahead to check the availability of the instrument, and was told they have it. When I arrived the store, they gave me another brand without telling me it wasnt the one I wanted. At the checkout, I double checked if this is the right instrument to rent, and I was told it is not the same brand and they dont have stock and have to order it for me. What a waste of time and customer service is not good at all.
