I had to replace an aging helmet so I gave this place a try for selection. I am really glad I did! They had great info on their options, similar (or better) prices on gear to the retail chain stores, and even parts on hand that my local dealership have to special order. Well worth the extra few minutes drive.

Needed throttle tube for my DR650 and thought I had to order online and wait A week. Called them up on A Saturday and they said they had it. Drove out picked part up, riding same day. Great customer service .

Bad experience . Clerk was rude and yelling at customer for something being wrong with his wiring. The store is neat but this treatment was a power trip about whos wrong. I belive the customer didnt know how to do the wiring but it could have been handled difrent..

If you live in Dallas & ride you know about Bates. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful; the selection & prices are good; and its the only place to have tires mounted. The parking lot looks like someone was having artillery practice, but just dont pull in too fast 😨

After leaving Bates yesterday I realized that little yellow 50cc cafe racing mini bike hanging up has been there for about 35 years. Then I realized that everyone that I know that rides comes here and has always come here. Not many businesses can last that long. And even fewer are as dependable as these guys. Thanks Bates!

Great place to get oil, filters, tires, VP fuel or other accessories. Carry a good selection of MX gear which is usually tough to find. Accessories for all types of bikes and their tire installation is a good deal. Staff is friendly too.

Old School bike shop. Everything for metrics, off-road and domestic (Harley). Very helpful, and great at what they do. Ive been coming here since I was barely 15 years old. These guys taught me how to change my tires, use the tire machine, when I had no money as a kid. Now Im 42, and been in the powersports industry for most of my life. I still come in and look around, even when I can order the same stuff at work. Im loyal, because these guys are the best, and go out of their way for their customers. Get in here if you need parts for your MX Bike, Streetbike or Harley. Ive been a loyal Bates customer for almost 20 years. They have tons of stuff in stock and will order almost anything they dont have. Their tire prices are better than the dealer and they only charge 5 bucks to mount it if you buy it there. Honda wanted almost 60 dollars just to mount tires even if I bought them there and paid their marked up price.

Had a blow out on my moped/scooter in Rice Tx, this was the only shop that had my size tire. They had everything in there, really cool place and good customer service, I appreciate it guys! 👍

I was really WOWed by this little hole in the wall motorcycle shop. The staff went out of the way to help. They were very helpful but did not hover over me trying to make a sale. They pointed out the items that I was interested and allowed me to make my own decisions without pressure. I inquired about a MC helmet that they did not stock or have in my size. Instead of pressuring me to order from them, I was given the name and number of another dealer and allowed to phone them while in the store. I live a great distance from the store, but if I ever get another opportunity to shop there, I most certainly will.

They have a lot of parts and accessories, the two young guys are great at helping and really friendly. But the older guy on the other hand it seems like if you ask him to do anything except take your money he acts like youre bothering him or interrupting him.

Courteous, professional and competitive pricing; took my rear wheel and tire to get mounted and balanced for $25 plus tax, also picked up a pair of riding gloves for $10 and was out of there in less than 30 mins.
