This place is great. I recently moved to the area and was looking for fishing and crabbing supplies.The store was pretty full with tackle, but had the essentials.The best part was the staff gave me info on how to catch drum from my dock. I am loving it!

The first time we went there, my wife was looking for a handle for her fishing reel. The girl who was working offer absolutely no help. The second time we went the two guys working did a way better job, but if I can go elsewhere to get what I need, I will.

My family and I stopped here on our way to Point Lookout. It was very very early on a Sunday morning and according to the times listed on google, we didn’t think they would be open. To our surprise, they were definitely open! Not sure If these were summer hours though, but we were grateful! They had exactly what we needed.

I went for self-defense purposes and ended up purchasing two stun guns. My personal opinion was that the environment was kind of a mans man environment and i got the feeling that the employees mainly deal with and perhaps prefer for their customers to already be very knowledgeable about weapons and all that before you come in. BUT I did get personal help though and all my questions answered and wasnt discriminated against for being a woman!! . So dont be discouraged from going there!! I would have given it more stars if they had more options, thats all.

Man if your looking for fishing supplies and you cant find it here you really arent looking to go fishing. Excellent selection. Staff is polite and knowledgeable too

My family recently moved to the area. I was already familiar with The Tackle Box from the couple of times I have been there to grab bait prior to moving to the area. But now that I live here I get all my bait and supplies for fishing there and everyone there are good people and you are never just standing around waiting to be served. Great service

I and my boys stopped here on our way to St Marys Lake to do some fishing. The staff was so kind and helpful, not only recommending what lures to buy, but teaching my boys how to rig the stickbait. Id go fishing in St Marys Co again just so we could revisit The Tackle Box :-D

Ive been going to tackle box since the day I was born thats the place to go to get your bait and stuff for fishing and they have cute gifts too if you have a visitor who wants maryland novelties to bring back home.

Next time I go here I want to spend a little bit more time. My friend was in and out before I realized it and he was driving

Something for everyone here. Their prices have remained fair throughout the 2020/21 shortages, whenever they are able to get restocked with ammunition, powder, primers, firearms, etc. The staff is friendly and seem to really like their jobs. Definitely a hidden gem.

I could pay their power bill with all the supplies I bought from them. Sometimes there are hidden gems on sale. Alot of great supplies, professional knowledge.

I see alot of people commenting on how the prices are high.Well yeah they are a little bit but well worth it.These guys and gals have everything you need and have been in business doing nothing but fishing and sporting supplies since probably before i was born.I remember going in here in the early 80S and buying bait and fishing gear. Support your family run business.They go out of their way to help they even give great advice on bait tackle where the fish are biting and whats happening etc. Or you can go to walmart buy the cheapest thing they have on the rack from a kid that has never been fishing and will be lucky if it lasts one season.You get what you pay for.

The staff is great and they are always willing to help find just what you need. Whenever I come in I spend half my time sharing fishing and hunting stories between the employees. Everyone is extremely friendly and I cannot recommend this shop enough.

I went to the tackle box to buy a glock 17 gen 4 and to get a holster for my glock 42. With the help of Joe I was able to find what I was looking for. His knowledge and expertise were greatly appreciated. Give Joe a raise!

Always trying to push items that I dont need, and always the more expensive items. Ammo selection is garbage. Staff teeters between polite to semi-pestering. Guess it depends on the day and what shift. Id say at best, a broad knowledge of firearms is about the average overall of the combined staff

This is one of the best tackle stores Ive ever been to. Staff is crazy helpful and will setup your rods, reels and various bait rigs. They know their stuff and are super friend.

The best thing about the store are the knowledgeable and very helpful employees. They also have a good selection of fishing and guns/ammo too. Price are a bit high but worth it so the staff can be there to help.

Outdoorsmen/women this is a one stop shop for all your outdoor sporting/hunting/fishing needs! Dont pass up the deals on firearms as well as ammunition they have! Ken (the owner) I spoke to for over an hour and enjoyed his plethora of knowledge on anything I asked about!

They have most anything you need. A bit pricey but considering there isnt anything else close by then its clearly understandable. Only issue I found was an incident with an employee. Pretty rude and obviously not experienced in working with the public or maybe just had a rough night of drinking or something. Anyways, that ended my chances of returning. Sad since I had already selected 3 Penn Squall combos to purchase since they were spooked with line already. I will have to get them elsewhere now.
