Ole Timey Meat Market in Lexington is never disappointing! Thank you for the prefectly cut rib roast. I seasoned this bone in rib roast yesterday with a paste I made from fresh elephant garlic, salt, & coarsely ground pepper. After I slathered it with the paste I sprinkled it with Badia and drizzled it with evoo. Around lunch I will coat it in coarse sea salt before putting it in the oven. 🥲🥲🥲😋😋

This is our go to for steaks... They have a great fresh selection of steaks and beef as well as many other meat selections. They also have a good selection of wine with good prices as well. We have always had good service here, not sure where the bad reviews about the cashiers are coming from... I have never had an issue.. If we are going to cook steak, it would be from Olde Timey

Took my traeger grill in for repairs over five weeks ago. No one ever called me to provide a time line, I called every week and was pushed along saying it would be done by the next week. Called today and was told that they still hadn’t gotten around to fixing my grill and that I should probably just pick it up and find someone else to do the repairs. Awful service and communication. Avoid and find someone else to do the work.

I called today to place an order. I was coming out of a wheelchair to a walker and it wasnt working. They offered curbside which was great. I got 136.00 of meat. When I got home and unpacking... in the bottom of the bag was stuffed chops. I brought them out and they were not sealed and coming out of the bag 2 fell in the floor! Had to throw away. I have dogs and the freezer is in the garage. Meat is always wrapped perfectly but this time I lost meat. I will be back cause the service is excellent. This is the first issue and im sure will not happen again. But half my meat gone is money!

I was greeted by the cashier when I walked in, and I was able to get all of my items with her help. I have never experienced problems here with service like some of the other reviews mentioned. I am definitely a forever customer! My boys love the back wrapped filets they make. Better than anything I could get in a restaurant and its cheaper!

This is the only place you should buy steaks! They are wonderful, melt in your mouth! We also enjoy the frozen crab stuffed flounder and tilapia!

Always great selection, consistently excellent meats (and other goodies) and really nice and knowledgeable folks to help. I dont now what more anyone could want! We love Ole Timey and buy in there at least twice weekly for fresh salmon center cuts, boneless chicken breasts but mostly for filet mignon and theyre all excellent! Also love their pimento cheese and chicken salad made in store. Very good selection of wines in Lexington. Frozen veggies, desserts and more! This market is the best kept secret in Lexington!

Even with health conditions they will not let you in or serve you! Completely ridiculous and the lady was extremely rude about it!**Was not offered anything except told to leave. Take it how you like but that is discrimination. When I told you I could NOT wear a mask you continued to push a mask on me. Masks are not required for those with health conditions.

We love the products at Ole Timey Meat Market. However, we have visited 2 times in the last 2 and 1/2 weeks and have been treated rudely by the check out clerk. When we walk in she doesnt speak but is sitting on a stool playing with her cell phone. Today I went in and said I needed 4 boxes of 5-lb sirloin burgers. She pointed to the cooler and said, 4th door. I asked if there was someone that could help me and she gave no response. After making 2 trips to the check out counter she never spoke, I paid for the products and there was no thank you. This happened to my partner 2 1/2 weeks ago and he told me about it. We love the products but really, maybe this person would be happier in a different position. I, myself, have 2 18 year old honor students that would love a job. They can also speak to the customer with a smile and say How May I Help You? and Thank you. Just a thought.

Went in on Monday and placed an order for Saturday pickup. Arrived Saturday and order was not ready. The woman turned to man apparently in charge and and asked about my order. The guy looked annoyed that I was asking for anything. He glanced at some papers and couldnt find my order.

I have been going to Ole Timey for years and I have never had a single one of their employees be rude to me in any way. Their meat is so incredibly superior to anything else in Columbia its not even comparable. Keep on being you Ole Timey and you will continue have plenty of happy customers.

I WENT IN FOR THE FIRST TIME AND LIKE THE DEAL WITH SIRLOIN STEAKS FOR $4. BUT MY CONCERN IS THE FACT THAT THEY DO NOT WEAR GLOVES. I BOUGHT SOME GROUND SIRLOIN AS WELL AND ASKED FOR 2 POUNDS AND IT WAS ALITTLE OVER AND THE GUY WENT TO GRAB SOME OFF WITH HIS BARE HANDS. HOW GROSS!!!! THE HEALTH INSPECTOR NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS.

I have visited the Lexington location a few times. Every visit I noticed that you dont feel very welcomed. No one makes much of an effort to be friendly. The cashiers hardly speak and some of the people at the meat counter are pretty short to you as well. My husband even mentioned that he had the same feeling. It is certainly not an atmosphere of ole timey feelings. We left and went to Publix! Hey folks at Ole Timey. sorry we bothered you with our business! Guess you have enough and dont need us!

The cashier was on her phone.. I was the only one that came in the store when I said hello she STILL did not even acknowledge me.. the young boy at the meat counter was using HIS HANDS TO PACK MY HAMBURGER GROUND ROUND .. then acted offended when I asked him to use the plastic as that is what it was for.. I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHERE HIS HANDS HAD BEEN OR IF THEY were WASHED. WHEN I CHECKED OUT ANOTHER CASHIER TRIED TO ARGUE WITH ME FOR SAYING SOEMTHING. I TOLD HER I DID NOT COME FOR AN ARGUMENT!! THIS PLACE IS NASTY AND DO NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMER !!! I WILL NEVER GO .. BACK!!!

I have had nothing but positive experiences at OT in Lexington. The butchers are always acommodating whenever I need a special cut, and the meat is top-notch. Unlike other reviewers, Ive never experienced any rude behavior at the checkout counter.

My wife had heard about this Meat market from some co-workers. We decided to try them this weekend. We bought four bacon wrapped filets and four sirloins. We had the filets Sunday and were amazed how tender they were. Great taste also, (no one used any bbq sauce). Cant wait to try the sirloins. Well definitely be back!

I agree with the previous review by Lori. I have been in several times, and the clerk at the front counter NEVER even acknoldges that you have even walked in the door. Also, the only thing she says upon checkout, is your total. Never says thank you and hardly ever lifts her head from her cell phone. Very disrespectful and poor customer service.
