Weve been getting mulch and compost from three other companies for four years. We know our truck bed holds two yards, that comes up to the top of the truck cab, and weve always been charged $60. We came here and were met by two cars salesmen type older men. We were sold three yards, that barely reached the top of the truck bed, and paid $90. Theyre saying their bucket is a half yard when its actually a quarter yard. Buyer beware.

Great place. Great prices. Owner is knowledgeable, listens to requests, and comes up with a solution to find the best product to take home. Loaded my truck without a scratch. Even loaded it slowly to ensure I could safely carry the dirt. Let me little 6 year old check out the Bobcat tractor while we discussed products. Will be back for all of my dirt, wood chip, top soil needs!

Great service if you need mulch or stone this is your place

First I like to say that I try to support local business. With that in mind I realize that the prices at PC mulch are inflated by double if not three times the cost of gravel at Martin MariettaPurchasing gravel from PC mulch seem to be more convenient given the fact I would not have to seek out a dump truck where I would have if I went to Martin Marietta or hail it myself, which I have no tools and a bad back.After discussing when to deliver this based off of the recent rain we have had in the area, we thought we would wait a couple days and hopefully the path would be dry. Unfortunately the day of the delivery, the driver from PC mulch assumed that he could get in dump the load and spread without any incident.He got stuck and decided to dump a load in the middle of my backyard.One of the reasons I wanted a local business to deliver it was because I also wanted it to be spread out, since I have no tools or equipment to do this. The $190 I spent for 3 yd.³ of gravel included the delivery and spread of the gravel, he got stuck and decided to dump a load in the middle of my backyard.I completely understand that unforseen events happen however what I can’t understand is how a business would not take any responsibility for their actions and just walk away as if they have done nothing wrongHe telephoned me and explain to me what the situation was and that he had to unload the gravel where he did. He did not offer any additional assistance or help on how I was going to get the gravel from the yard back to the driveway, he did however suggest I could shovel it in a wheelbarrow and move it up there myself. I neither have a wheelbarrow or a shovel to do this work. Had this of been the case from the get go I could’ve went to Martin Marietta and got in the same amount of material for 80% less and I could hauled it myself on my trailer and shoveled it off with a shovel if I owned a shoveled.I guess the most disappointing part of this experience is that I went with a local company who basically could care less about the mistake they made. They could care less about offering any assistance on fixing the mistake they made. They could care less about the expense you will have to go through to fix the mistake they made. Bottom line is they receive their money screw you.The lesson in this unfortunately is the fact that a corporation such as Martin Marietta would have stood up and fix the mistake they made if they had made a mistake and that a local business guy will continue to do what he wants to do with the fact that he knows he has your money upfront before he does anything.I strongly recommend that you refrain from doing business with such an individual who does not stand behind the service that they charge so handsome for. As it pains me to say this, This is one local business that does not need the support of the people that live within this locality.
