Terrible customer response. My doctor sends a new presciption for a CPAP machine. Two weeks later Apria calls to tell me a new machine is on the way. A week later I follow up and the company denies having received an order and have no record of it. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Lesson learned- Find a new supplier. Never deal with them again.

Do NOT do business with this company! First of all, they wouldn’t pick up the bilirubin lights from us for 10 days after our doctor discontinued them even though we called them on three separate occasions to request they pick them up! I suspect that our $1,300 bill includes charges from those extra 10 days. I wonder if it’s a scam they use to intentionally inflate the charges. It’s interesting that the bill they sent us contains so little information that nobody would know if the bill includes extra charges from days that they didn’t pick up the equipment. If they’re charging extra for those days, if they would actually bill our insurance, it would be insurance fraud. However, despite calling them on three additional occasions (yes, that’s a total of 6 phone calls with their support), despite their repeated promises to bill our insurance, even after repeated phone calls with our doctor and insurance company to ensure that it’s Apria at fault here, Apria still won’t do it, and now they’re demanding that we pay our $1,300 bill in full because it’s “self-pay” and “past due.” So, now even if we wanted to start making payments on the bill, they’re getting ready to send us to collections instead. What a terrible business practice! You rob and scam your customers and then demand they pay the bill and send them to collections. Someone needs to investigate this company! I will be complaining to authorities.

My newborn was put on bili lights shortly after birth. My pediatrician sent a stop order on the third day of use. The lights were not picked up for 2+weeks. The pick up would be scheduled and they wouldnt show. When I would call at 4pm they would tell me it was rescheduled because they werent in my area. At the time I thought that was fine, no big deal. That was until they billed me for the entire time! It took me having my pediatrician faxing them another copy of the stop order and a letter stating to change the dates and an email of me threatening to turn them in for insurance fraud for them to do anything.Like another review on here, they did not bill insurance and sent me a bill months later for the full amount. Then I recently started getting collection calls at 8 am ... Days after I finally get an email that my insurance was billed and my new total (which does not match the total the lady is trying to collect from me). So now I am waiting for a copy of my bill before I pay it so they cannot claim I owe more. You know its bad when your pediatrician warned you about them before sending your order, which mine did, and the experience was worse than I thought possible.

I only did one star because I cant do zero, but if I could Id do none. Our baby was put on oxygen after he was born. He ended his oxygen in January. Our pediatric office sent a request through fax to pick up. Apria does not communicate well, nor do they know how to do their job and check their faxes. It took Apria a whole month to pick up their equipment, which we were charged a whole month for while not using it. It took my husband calling them to come pick up their equipment. Also, apparently Apria doesnt know how to follow up when you call a Million times. They sent us a bill full price without the insurance. Im so frustrated with this company. If you are ever told to use them.....DONT. They are horribble!

DO NOT USE APRIA!!!Apria healthcare is the crookedest company I have dealt with in my entire life. I have had nothing but problems from the day we picked up my husband’s bipap machine.... Apria charged my card a large amount of money the day after we picked up the machine, they didn’t even try sending a claim to my husband’s insurance. When I called to have the charges refunded to my card. They gave me nothing but the run around. It took over two months to get a finally get the refund. My husband passed away the end of July. I am still mourning the lost of my husband and trying to making ends meet. I am still trying to pay all of his hospital bills and funeral expenses. I notice Apria has once again charged my card this last Friday. When I question why they had charged my card, they told me they received a denial from his insurance for the month of July, so I owed that money. I have looked at all of the charges to my husband’s insurance and there is no claim from them for the month of July. Once again charged my card without sending a claim to his insurance. They are refusing to refund my money until it has finished processing in their system which they say can take up to 10 days (Last time it took over two months). The charge came out of my account on Friday, they say they have received the payment, but still will not refund my money. Money I was relying on to pay my house payment. After my husband passed away, I never received a call stating they needed to pick up his machine. They left a door hanger saying they stopped by to pick up equipment, twice. I finally had to call them and find out what exactly they needed to pick up. While I was on the phone with their customer service, I scheduled a time for them to pick up the machine between 5-6 last Tuesday..... THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!!!!!I will NEVER again work with Apria. I also work in healthcare. I can guarantee every doctor I know will be told what a crooked company Apria is, so they can stop referring patients to them!

Following a very professional visit to the Lindon, Utah, Apria Branch, arranged by Ms. Alice Rutledge, I was treated by Gary Cecil, R.T., as well as introduced to state of the art equipment. Since then, my wife and I have been enjoying the most comfortable and restful nights of sleep that we have experienced in almost a year. Colonel Hughes, USAF Retired.

Absolutely terrible experience - no consideration or response to our legitimate requests. They dropped off the equipment, but when we had questions, they didnt answer their phone or respond to multiple voicemail messages. They were quite rude on the phone when I finally did speak to someone (my insurance carrier had to call to even get them to speak to me!) and they care nothing about patients or their needs - they just want to check the box so they can bill your insurance. (Update)After posting this review I got a call a couple weeks later from a very nice lady named Donay (spelling?). I was apprehensive to speak with anyone from this company again because of how I was treated by everyone else. But she told me she wanted to help me and told what she would try to do. About an hour later I got a call back and she told me she got my refund approved because she believed me.It felt really good, not just the relief of getting the much needed money back, but because I had been treated like a liar by the 6 or 7 other people who work for Apria I dealt with for simply trying to explain the truth. In the end at least one person at Apria knows right from wrong, thank you Donay, If I could give you 5 stars I would. It doesnt change, the choices the other managers and employees made when hearing my situation, it was still a very bad experience overall, but thanks to one employee it ended the right way and I can raise my rating from 1 to 3 stars.(Posted Previously)Let me tell you about this company. Last year I had reached my out of pocket limit with my insurance because my 4 year old had major surgery. So I asked my doctor if he could prescribe me some c-pap supplies. I normally buy them from Amazon because getting them from a company like Apria is more than twice as expensive. But, I had reached my out of pocket so they should be of no expense to me.So I placed my order in mid December, I asked the representative from Apria if I would be billed in December because I had reached my out of pocket for the year, he assures me I would be. I even told him that if for any reason I wouldnt be billed before the end of the month to please cancel the order. He told me he would make a note on the order and make sure of it.So I get my supplies on January 2nd, I open the box, there is no invoice, nothing saying I had a balance, nothing, just my supplies. All good... I assume.Three months later I get a bill in the mail for nearly $300, so I call, I explained my situation and what their representative had guaranteed me. They said customer service has no control over billing and he couldnt have made that promise, but I tell them he absolutely did. So after being on the phone nearly 3 hours and countless transfers a manager told me they would open an investigation and listen to the recording of my call in December. Thankful, I hang up knowing what was said in that call. One month later, I get a another call from Apria saying they were sending me to collections. After another 2 hours on the phone explaining my situation, I have 2 different representatives tell me that there is no such thing as an investigation and because my supplies were delivered in January it had to be billed in JanuarySo in the end I paid these crooks, and then they said wouldnt send me a receipt!!!. Avoid this company at all costs. They are dishonest and only want all the money they can bleed out of you. Im going to tell my doctor what they did to me.Horrible multi million dollar company screwing hard working folks over in a time like this.

I would never use this company. We have had horrible experiences with them. We had a patient last night that needed oxygen and we sent in everything needed including prescription and told them patient would pay cash. They told the patient the oxygen was out for delivery. It never came and the patient had to go to the ER to get the oxygen needed. The patient even called back and asked where it was at 11pm and they said sorry we cant help you. She is fine now however this could have been completely avoided. Now they will have an ER bill. I called and spoke with the supervisor Kate today and she literally had nothing to say that was helpful. This is the second time we have had this problem. We will be finding another company. I told the supervisor we will never use them again and she seemed to not know how to handle it or make suggestions to keep us a client. Find a different company for your needs!

Service at this location is fine, but they are WAY OVERPRICED (at least as far as CPAP supplies are concerned) and you dont need them, even if your insurance sent you there for supplies. Even after meeting my deductible (when I was only paying 20% of the total cost), they were still more expensive than a certain very popular online retailer.

This company is awful! My great grandmother (95 years old) keeps getting past due statements for months that she has already paid. Ive spent 5+ hours on the phone with their billing department as well as provided bank statements for the last year and a half. They say she didnt pay Jan. and Feb. Of this year. Sent them statements for those months, and they say that its two other months until I provide those statements. Every time I prove them wrong with bank statements they change the days that are missed. This cycle has repeated all day. Also the payments shouldnt have ever changed, but she sent different amounts almost every month. I was a very irrate customer on the phone, but never raised my voice or used foul language and was hung up on twice and they refuse to let me speak to a manager. This company is scamming old ladies and its not right. I would recommend using literally anybody else.

Now I’m getting bill after bill saying I owe all this money for using this equipment when I’ve never used it and they will not pick it up. When I call, either nobody answers and I wait for up to an hour, or someone answers but they don’t speak English and have no idea what I’m trying to say.

Absolutely horrible experience. One day, out of the blue, I get a collection notice from a debt collector referred to from Apria. It was for over $4000. I didnt even receive a bill or notification from Apria. After I called their billing department - 3 times - finally, I was told it was for unreturned oxygen equipment. I had the signed pickup slip from the technician in my hands. The first person said theyd find out and call back. They didnt. The second person said they had verified the equipment wasnt returned and I owed the bill. After explaining that the lawsuit would go in my favor since Im holding the proof in my hands, he finally suggested I fax it over to the local office in Utah (which doesnt have any direct contact number.)I did that. I then called back to verify. The third person said she could she that the work order for pick up was in the system, but still listed as pending. In other words, after 2 1/2 months, they still hadnt actually tried to pick up the equipment. Keep in mind that I actually had the signed work order in my hands. The fourth attempt to resolve this with Apria finally sent me to a 2nd level billing contact, who put me on hold for about 30+ minutes to see if its resolved. The result: the local office wouldnt even pick up their phone. (That was at 12:30pm on a Wednesday. I guess they were out to lunch.) What was I supposed to do? Wait. Because they had already sent 2 emails to the local office in Utah to figure out where the equipment was...who, by the way, already had a fax sitting in their office with the signed pick up receipt...and no idea when it would be resolved. All the while, Im still getting collections calls.I didnt pick these guys. The hospital did. But my recommendation is, if you hear the word Apria, keep every single piece of paper you get. Their billing is horrible. Be prepared to justify everything that happens. Be prepared to fight collections. Their paperwork process is a disaster.Be prepared to be transferred to an offshore call center to help you. And be prepared to do the impossible. (Like being asked to contact the local branch office with no local phone number or way out of the menu from hell to talk to a local person.)Im fully prepared to continue to fight the collection agency. Which would be fun because it would be the quickest small claims court fight in history. Plus Im pretty sure with all this craziness I would earn punitive damages in the amount of several thousands of dollars.Judge: they say you didnt return the oxygen.Me: heres the signed receipt that I did. And the faxes and call log of all the contacts in trying to resolve this.Judge: dismissed and attorneys fees and punitive damages awarded for the defendant.Bring it on, Apria.

*Edit*I was wrong, it was someone else who messed up... We got fake calls in the past and they didnt do anything wrong. I was just on edge and we got billed, but it was the hospitals fault, not theirs. I suspected it was a scam because we were called later in the afternoon. The employee who picked stuff up helped straighten things out. He was really polite. Also they gave us a call which I appreciate and Im glad theyre patient despite my anger. I didnt answer the call, but I noticed retroactively and the fact they tried to reach out is appreciated. I dont remember his name (he came by last Friday) but whoever his supervisor is should know that he did us a solid and that he handled the situation well.Anyhow, I changed the rating to atone for my rash response and Im still going to try to work it out, but I dont blame Apria at all because the hospital delivered the bili blanket and also asked them to do it. Still working on getting a refund and on working it out with the hospital. Its still a mess, but it wasnt the fault of Apria and I posted too soon and was really emorional. Hopefully, everything works out in the end.

I have worked with several home health companies in Utah County to provide patients with home health supplies. Apria has the worst customer service of ANY health provider that I have ever worked with. Their after hours “customer service” (if you can call it that) is sourced out of the Philippines and I dare you to try to get them to get you someone stateside. Apparently the phones that are used stateside only make outbound calls. My experience was an absolute joke. When I called today to express my concerns to someone stateside, I was on hold for 40 minutes and was finally told that rather than have me continue to hold she would get my contact info to her supervisor to call me. Guess who never called? You guessed it. I will never use Apria and I will make sure that everyone I know doesn’t have to deal with them either.

The person who came to my house to set up my daughter’s feeding pump didn’t know how to use it and told me to “look it up on YouTube.” We returned the equipment to the local branch, who processed the return incorrectly, and despite contacting them 4 times to correct the problem we were still sent to collections. Horrible overall experience.7/2 update: they have continued to bill our insurance 3 months after we stopped using their services for the same product I mentioned earlier. We also found through our insurance that once we had hit our OPM last year they sent in duplicate claims to try and get more money, and still balance billed us (7 months after we met our OPM). Customer service told me it was a problem on the insurance’s part, even though the EOBs clearly stated that there were duplicate claims for the same dates of service, which required a corrected claim to be fixed.

Id rate it less than one if I could. The man who helped us on the day we went in when we got and set up my husbands cpap machine blatantly lied to us that day and billing has been beyond a nightmare. Because we didnt want to spend a lot on something when we knew we had the option to shop around we were quite careful in being sure we understood the charges. First he said that after being referred there by the doctor they had already sent a claim to our insurance before we even had our meeting. After becoming quite upset they had done this without authorization from us and a lot of incompetence from the worked he finally told us that they only verified that we are in fact insured and what they generally cover but didnt actually send in a claim. We should have known enough to walk out then but didnt. After that he explained to us that with our insurance our copay would be about $20 a month for three months. They screwed up getting our credit card info that day (thank God!) and sent us a bill for the first payment. We went in and paid cash, not wanting them to have access to more money than we gave them cash at any time. After three months we made the last payment, ordered and paid for new supplies and thought we were done besides more supplies. Instead they continued to bill us the monthly fee. Since it is my husbands machine they kept calling him, only during business hours while he was at work and couldnt talk to them. Finally I got them on the phone and explained that the man had told us we were well past the time we should be making monthly payments. Instead the person on the phone told us we have to make those payment for nine months, not three. Had we realized the out of pocket would be $20 a month until the end of the year and then full payments since wed be on a new deductible for two more months we would never have agreed to get the machine without shopping around for the best price. Were still trying to get this straightened out but the people on the phone are nearly useless. We paid what we were told we would have to pay and have moved on to getting supplies through another local company. I can not in good conscious suggest that anyone use this company, and if you do certainly dont give them your credit or debit card info!

I tried ordering it online, and I never received my tracking number for the package after the allotted 48 hrs. After 5-7 businesses days (which meant I missed more school, but they didnt have a faster shipping method), I called and asked where the heck my scooter was. After being transferred through about 6 people, they told me they didnt know, but it should be there in 24-48 hours. When that expired, I called them again and they gave me the same line. I cancelled my order, and when I asked when I would get my money back, they transferred me through about 12 people and two languages. Most of them cant find my account, and werent very helpful at all. Id recommend going face to face or finding another company.
