Was hired on as a driver, given a start date and told..We will get ahold of you tomorrow to set up drug test. You will need to purchase some steel toed boots and we will go through to get a uniform. I got the boots, $120, waited and waited for the call. This is through Aerotek as a direct hire position. It is now Friday, Aerotek has heard nothing and when they contact Erik or Brenda, they get told nothing. I have left 2 voicemails in the last 2 days and no return call. Aerotek is at a loss and the rep working with me and his superviser (according to what I am told by them) are frustrated to say the least with VG&M. At the last minute, the day before I am supposed to start, AFTER HIRING ME, they tell us they filled it with a current employee. I have over 15 years experience, perfect record and 5 other offers on the table. I will be fine, but the lack of respect is astounding from a company that claims such great values about themselves... I did not burn a bridge, but they did.
