Jerry told me to bring the boat by and hed have a look at it before charging me for repairs. He went ahead and did a compression test which he charged me $300 for. Competitors in the area charge $58. He said the additional charge was because they added oil in the engine it was over an hour of labor. His son did fix my trailor lights which was the only positive experience but not at the cost of my total bill of $359. Go elsewhere for a more professional straight forward experience.
These people are rude and are unwilling to help the consumer. All they care about is trying to get business so they’ll tell you that you have no idea what you’re doing and that you need to just “bring it in so we can do it”. I called in on the phone and had a few questions and the guy that answered had an attitude the whole time and told me to look all my questions up on their website because he “didn’t want to”. Lazy and unhelpful all the way. These people have no reason to be rude or nasty because I was as nice as nice can be and they still treat me with terrible customer service. I called with a few questions about parts and was told I had no idea what I was talking about and that I just needed to let them do it. Don’t tell me what I do and don’t know just do your job and answer my question. Don’t belittle me. I would give these people no stars if google would allow it. RUN RUN RUN
Jerry said he would take a look at my boat motor on Monday, I took the motor to him Saturday, and said he would order parts Tuesday. Called to check up said another boat came back and had to fix that first, I said well do what you gotta do, then I get back to him and says its not worth putting money into. All it needs is field pump and carb adjustment? I was too busy with work didnt have time but its so simple now he says its going to be a small fee for a compression test but called around at other shops. SO DONT GO TO THESE GUYS WORTHLESS.
Love the Hixs boats
