NEW OWNERSHIP!! The new people are amazing and so kind. Definitely a huge difference and its way prettier in there now, as well
Went in early July 2021 and there is a new owner. Place is very clean and organized now. The owner is extremely friendly and the selection is good. Strongly support going in and supporting the guy! He also has the old inventory priced quite low as well.
Free bag of ice with 20 purchase! New Owner— seems like a really nice guy. HQ liquor store— thanks!
The new owners of the store really cleaned it up and theyre super friendly as well! If you need to pick up some wine/beer at a reasonable price, this is a great place to shop at.
What can I say? Its a strip mall liquor store. This particular one has too much inventory stacked too high. I feel like Im in the Labyrinth when Im in there. But, assuming youre just swinging by to pick up a 12 pack or a bottle of wine, then it serves its purpose, just try not to get lost and watch out for the minotaur!
A paying customer should never be treated as an inconvenience. Why have a business if you dont like people?
He has a good supply of wine and beer but the owner is not very friendly
This place is dirty and cluttered. It is difficult to find anything and the selection is limited.
I went there today to buy some things. I then took my things up to the register but then I remembered I did not have my identification card. I asked them if I could still buy. The lady replied saying no don’t say that. I didn’t really know what that meant so I just put the stuff on the register. She then told me to leave. She told me that because I did not have an ID. I then left and sat on the steps in front of another business. About 2 mins later a male employee comes out and grabs me by my belt and would not allow me to leave. I did not resist. I just called 911. The Deputies got there within 5 mins and spoke to both of us away from one another. He told the deputies that he grabbed me and detained me 2 mins after I left “because I did not have an ID” After the deputy got all sides of the story he told me that I could press charges for false imprisonment. Which is a class 2 misdemeanor. At first I said yes I want to press charges. However, I changed my mind. I changed my mind for 2 reasons. 1. He is just trying to make a living and I’m not one to try and make things harder on people. Especially in hard times like this. And 2. He is from another country. He might just simply not know the laws fully. I just hope this business sees this because next time he does this kind of thing to someone I can bet they will not be this forgiving. Understand that I did nothing wrong, I walked away with not even a ticket. I could have pressed charges on you. Out of the kindness of my heart I changed my mind. You as a business have a right to stop people even physically if needed but only if I stole something. You need to understand your elements. There are five of them! Anyways, I will not be back simply because I am trespassed now because you don’t want me there. Just take this advice though because the next person might not be so forgiving.
Lost my ID have the official copy on my phone owner looks at ID and says OK then after I go back to get a 6 pack he says he didnt agree to sell to me. Cant wait till this place goes out of business wont be long now!!
Not bad
I went to this liquor store on Thanksgiving to buy a bottle of Scotch for my family & I to enjoy. Unfortunately, this was one of the only stores open. All I can say is that this place is filthy all the bottles are full of dust & the owners mouth is just about as dirty. I found this out when I tried to return the bottle of Scotch I had just bought which was clearly bad. The cork disintegrated and fell into the bottle when I tried to open it. If your driving looking for a liquor store to stop at & see this one in your view...I recommend you just keep on driving.
Lady checking me out tore the bag and pushed it to me and the bag broke open and the stuff fell out on the counter. She acted like nothing happened/was wrong. Very odd behavior indeed.
Dirty and dark. Rude and impatient. The owner parks her car int he front spot every day. Why are you blocking customer parking for your own store? Lazy.
I visited this liquor store to buy a bottle of wine for a housewarming gift and a pack of beer for an upcoming fight. Going forward, I refuse to go to this place and I tell my husband he better never go into this place and give them our business. If I could give negative zeroes, I would. The owner (or whomever he is) is rude - doesnt greet, doesnt talk, looks annoyed that he has to ring you up, doesnt respond to a greeting - he is generally an unpleasant person. The store itself is dark and aisles are narrow. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS - there are other, much friendlier places around to give your hard earned money to.
No selection. It was dark and crowded. Store smelled like mold. I couldn’t hear my total over the blaring Korean opera they had playing and the woman behind the counter got snippy when I asked her to repeat it. Village west is a little farther for me but I’ll gladly drive it to not shop here.
Not bad, prices are a wee bit high but we like it..
You pretty much have to beg The Foreigner for a bag
This is the worst liquor store in this town. The interior smells like old rotting carpet, the beer section labeled MICRO just Miller. The beer section labeled IMPORT is where they keep the Avery from BOULDER!!! I mean, come on, it appears the work force is like slave labor the way they keep their working conditions here. I feel like if the owner prettied up the place and charged reasonable rates, I wouldnt mind the fact that they cant speak English, but after getting ripped off here for the last time, I will not be returning.
Such rude employees- DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! Just go around the corner 4 minutes to the simms liquor store. Came To grab brews for a barbeque I had just finished shopping for, and it was about 7:55 am but I noticed this liquor store had their open store sign on so I went in so I could get everything for the bbq in one trip! No, the cashier held my drinks and made me wait 5 minutes before allowing the purchase. I should have just walked out- DONT TURN YOUR OPEN SIGN ON UNLESS YOURE OPEN.
Very rude employee. I went here to get some stuff for my 21st B-Day. The employee was very rude. At first I thought it was because I look young and he thought my ID was fake but after reading all these other reviews I see it is not just me who has experienced this. My tip to the owner is take these reviews serious. You have competion and people can go somwhere else.
I was browsing through the store waiting for my girlfriend. I did not purchase anything but before I left I walked past the owner or who ever the old Korean mans title is and thanked him and to have a good day and the old man started yelling and pointing at me to never come back into his store and to leave. Looking at the other reviews this seems to have happened more than once.
WOOOOOOOOOOWWW!!!! Unbelievable.... Now keep this in mind that this is coming from a customer that lives two blocks away from this store. Matter of fact just right behind the store. I have came here for years. I dont know what in the ****ing world happen today, but I dont care what it might be. That is NO WAY TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. After having a few drinks tonight (8/4/2014) @ 10:45 PM. Didnt know that I was running low on beer. So hey, Ill just run down to my local Liquor store on Kipling and Belleview next to Safeway and just pick up some. I got there at 10:50 PM. Thats how close I was to the liquor store. I walked in and greet the Korean Guy that properly own the store like how i do everytime. Now Im Asian myself so this is not a racist problem. The very first thing that came out of his mouth was Hurry Up. I was confuse!!! Im in retail and there is no way in hell would I said something like that to any customers of mine. I ask him why he would say something like that to a customer/neighbor after years of coming to this store. I dont think a new customer should be treated that way either. Then right as I was trying to make my point he said Hurry up or Get Out. Man do I feel like the bigger man walking away from that guy. Im also a big enough man to never and I swear Ill NEVER buy from this LIQUOR STORE EVER AGAIN.
Great liquor, great prices, cool dark interior
Cuttered and smelly. The old guy barely speaks English from what I can tell and not very helpful.
Damn the owner looks pissed if you buy something.slams bottle on the counter and damn near throws your change at you. No thanks. No customer service. Not they Will nickle and dime every cent. Dont go
Very rude! They dont even respond to Korean etiquette. They have chips on their shoulders the size of sequoias.
Good little store
Absolutely the rudest owners i have ever met.
Dirty and badly cluttered
Nothing special
