We come here often. They are always so friendly with excellent customer service. Their food is always very good. Would highly recommend it!
Came here before our outing to the zoo, so was in a bit of a rush to get photos of food. The food was awesome, and the service was beyond amazing!!! Pretty decor. I typically do not like diners, but we had a great experience here so I had to leave a review. Lovely owners (I believe, the woman and man at the desk) and staff, 100% recommend.
Diner = Comfort and affordable foodThis place has the best chicken noodle soup across all diners i have visited.The portions are big and the food is great, from a humble basic breakfast (2 eggs, bacon and home fries) to a more elaborated dish like pasta with cubed salmon.I ordered a steak sandwich which was great, the bread was not so heavy compared to a regular Italian hero, kind of like a brioche, it came with french fries, a pickle (nothing out of the extraordinary) and cole slaw (quite tasty).If you are around and visiting Turtle Back Zoo. This place should be a must.

Love the muffins, my favorite is the carrot muffins. Try them hot with ice cream

Pretty cool diner. The food is standard for a diner. I was gonna give five stars but there were some comments made in spanish about not leaving a tip on the card (because we left a cash tip on the table) that made us feel a little put off. Aside from that, the service was excellent. Diner is clean. Our waitress was amazing. Definitely worth checking out if youre in the area or coming back from the zoo.

PROS: This diner has a great reputation in the area. Lots of parking, place is clean, and the food is good! The prices are great for a diner and theres a lot to choose from. Our waiter, Donovan, was very helpful and nice to us. He made the experience there better.CONS: The place was a little small so it couldnt hold as many people as a regular diner. The bathroom wasnt that big therefore it could cause a line to form if the place was busy.OVERALL: Great diner! Definitely going to come back here when I visit again! And if you decide to come here ask to be served by Donovan, hell take care of you well
Food was good but the service was slow. Everyone was friendly and we were sitting outside, which may have led to the longer wait times.
What to Expect- Classic NJ diner setting.- Seating, not overly large and not tiny- Service was averageWhat We Got- Chicken Parm sandwich: pretty excellent. Toasted bun. Cheese melted. Chicken cutlet fried up pretty decently.- Turkey Club Triple Decker - a little too much turkey, overpowered the bite.
Best place to have some food when in a rush. Their service is speedy, pricing is reasonable, fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot.
I went in earlier today and one of the waiters there (i don’t know his name) but he was a talk dark waiter who said rude nasty comments to me about my daughters weight. i was completely in shock that with all the great reviews this restaurant has, this is the treatment we were given. horrible customer service i will not be showing up here again.
Hate to say things bad about a place, but diners beware. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. It looked dead from the outside and when I walked in I could see why. The place is not in good condition. The floors were filthy dirty. The place reaked of smoke, i am guessing from the kitchen not having proper ventilation. We were also given a high chair that was broken and could have hurt my friends son. I cannot comment on the food as we made an excuse and left before ordering. Sad to see a place in such shambles. I would stay away and not trust the 4.1 stars it has on Google.
The decor was very confusing and my steak was very greasy. Server was really nice and attentive though.

I enjoy this diner that is in close proximity to St Barnibus Hospital and several doctors and blood testing.
I went there for the second time today since the pandemic. I got the same waiter twice. He is so kind, along with this tall gentleman. God bless them both. They are so pleasant. The food is always fresh and homemade all the way. I love this places ambiance.

You should get the Jersey Burger, the caramalized onions, pork roll, and spicy peppers make it great! The gravy in the disco fries is tasty, and the cheese freshly broiled/melted.
Best onion rings! Salads are very fresh. The pita nacho is a favorite.

Quite staff and food was good. its a busy diner which is a good sign that the food is good. saw a lot of locals eating here. the danishes looked good as well. the French fries were nice and crunchy/crispy. no rush by the waitress to leave which was nice. the wait for food wasnt too long either. the bathroom is a single stall and it was relatively clean. would return to this place for breakfast sometime to try their breakfast items - saw a lot of people eating breakfast foods.
I never leave a bad review but my husband and I just had the most awful breakfast at Livingston Diner. First of all we were served weak, cool coffee. Then our meal which we waited over 20 minutes to get (eggs, how long do they take to cook?) was served cold. We sent it back and when we were served it again, after the microwaving, it was warm to the touch, but still not hot. We were very surprised since we have eaten there in the past, but will not be doing so in the future.

I really liked the food at this diner and the general vibe if the place. The service was really good and the food taste and portions were just right for me. I am not crazy about diners that just grease it up with large portions, this one was more up my alley. Seems like its been around for awhile. I tried the spinach and feta omelette, it was pretty good.

Just had a great meal. Had the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. They were...... awesome!! Fresh crab cake egg poached just right. Would of liked a bit more sauce but the cakes! Delicious. Maria my server was great and kept the coffee coming. Thanks.

I really like this place. The prices are reasonable and the service is much,much better than the Ritz. The owner is always walking around talking to the customers. It will never win awards for nicest place to eat, but its clean, the food is good and fresh. The servers are also very nice as well.A must -try place in Livingston
This dirty in the bathroom was so dirty the food was horrible I ordered eggs and I got the shells with them in and I ordered some fries and it was so cold and I got the burger and it was pink The waiters were yelling at us and and the waiters are ignoring us we’re at this point getting ready about to leave because it was so horrible

The place is quaint and we went at 11am right before it got busy. It is a popular haven for the older set and families which was nice to see because I took my parents there. The food was excellent, the prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. I would visit again and recommend for American diner fare.

My wife’s and my favorite little diner in Livingston. Service is always on point and their French fries taste amazing. Friendly staff are always there to serve. This place does get the typical lunch and dinner rush with St. Barnabas hospital right down the road so be mindful of this. Definitely recommend.

Its your average Jersey Diner with some great baked treats. Never had a bad meal, just watch it on the weekends when its super packed.Try the fish dishes, they are usually pretty fresh and not fishy.

Great food and service. Try the Greco Chicken with their house made Greek Feta Sauce; my wife always asks for extra sauce on side its so good. Excellent selection of baked goods as well. we pass a number of other diners to dine here its that good
George has now branched into Italian food making delicious pizza and even better eggplant rolatini!Also baking shockingly good bagels that have the same taste as other local bagels, but are lighter.

My go to diner always. Their fries are my favorite, always so crispy and fresh and their greek salad and dressing is my FAVE. Also, they quite literally have the best chocolate pastries ever. 10/10
