I had a stuck case in a rifle that I couldn’t remove myself. I called a few places that wanted $50-100 for 2 mins of work. Everyone at shooters service was pleasant and professional. They were able to remove the stuck case while I was there and didn’t even charge me. I will be coming back.

Great group of guys. I reassembled my pistol incorrectly after cleaning it. They fixed it and showed me what I did wrong. The nice man didnt even charge me. I will definitely go back and do business with them.

COVID-19 strikes again! I havent been doing a lot of shopping so perhaps this is much more common than I suspect but I liked the variation on the way to gain entry into this store. Call them up once you arrive, tell them why you are there and they happily come out to escort you into the store to get you the help you need. Very clever! The staff is helpful and very knowledgeable, from black powder to modern sporting arms. Respectable inventory of new and used guns, as well as a ton of small parts, ammunition, tools, holsters and belts. They also do FFL transfers, gunsmithing and sell hunting/fishing licenses.Its a good old fashioned, small town gun shop kind of place.

The guide rod assembly on my Ruger 45 ACP failed . Worked w/ a couple very helpful gentlemen at the store, Don fixed it and had me on my way. Worked with another person there on looking at different scope optics for the gun. I have had a couple of FFL transfers to their previous location which were very good experiences as well. Very knowledgeable, I highly recommend Shooters Service!!

Great shop! Tried to use the wrong size cleaning patches to clean my gun and got the patches and cable stuck in barrel. Thought I was going to have to have a expensive bill to get removed. These guys are on point, got right on it when I walked in and had it removed in less than 15 minutes. Very happy customer with that kind of service. Thanks again

Visited the shop for the first time today, needed some work done on my CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 Pistol, had a round get jammed in the chamber, and they repaired it for me while I browsed the store, they have nice selection of firearms by the way, you should check them out, but as I waited for no more then 10 min they called me to the back to let me know they were able to release the round from the chamber and also tested it out to make sure it would have no malfunction in the future, really good fast service and good people with nice customer service skills I recommended this place to anyone you should check them out.

Great customer service! Planned to go clay shooting Saturday morning, upon cleaning my shotgun the night before I realized I was missing the magazine cap. Went to Shooters Service and talked to Roger. They did not have the part(old gun) but found one on Ebay for me. He asked if I had planned on using the gun that day, I told him yes, actually in about an hour. Looking at my gun he used his expertise to find a cap that fit my gun from one of his display guns. He allowed me to use the cap that day so I could participate in the clay shoot. No charge just a promise that I would return the cap. Had a great day at the range and returned the cap that afternoon. Unbelievable service!! Can you imagine a big box store doing this for a customer! Not a chance. Thanks to Roger, Shooters Service has gained a loyal customer.

I called them an asked did they have any 22lr ammo in stock. Guy on the phone said yes we have plenty. I get there none in stock. Wasted gas an time will not be going back.

The owner for this place is so amazing. He provides excellent services to his customers. Once my GPS almost took me through Canada with my pistol, but Shooters Service quickly helped me to service and store my pistol until I returned from Canada in the same day. Ive been a customer for at least 3 years. They always have something suitable. By standard, their prices are good/fair but they also keep great deals. The service isnt shabby either. The staff here excels at costumer service. Everyone is extremely friendly. Brought in a scope I had laying around with an AR I wanted to mounted in to. They hooked me up with a scoping mounting kit. Installed it for me and bore sighted it. I’ll be back for years to come.

I only had 1 day off work to buy a scope and get to a range to sight it in. The gentleman at shooters service sold me a scope cheaper than I expected to pay. Because I was pressed for time they let me use their tools to mount it at the counter and then they bore sighted it for me. I was out the door in under 45 minutes and on my way to the range! At the end of the day the price was right, the customer service was well above what you usually get at a gun shop, and Ill buy applicable ammo when I pick up as a result. Initially I went here for the price. Id gladly pay a premium for a positive experience any day of the week. Forget the big box stores, my experience today just created a customer for life. Still making my mind up on this place...1st time here was to buy a pistol. I called ahead with questions about the Glock that I wanted, and the whole process that I would need to go through. The guy that I spoke with was professional and knowledgeable, overall he was excellent. After dealing with the snobs at Action-Impact during my CPL class, this place was refreshing. Eventually I bought my gun from Shooters Service and once again had an excellent experience. The main guy that sold me my gun, showed me how to field-strip it, showed me the important parts to clean, and gave advice about what to use (without any unnecessary upselling). I had to wait for my background check to go through because it got delayed, but I was called the next day and told that it went through and that I could pick up my gun. Could not pick up my ammo at that time (had to be somewhere), but easily left with my weapon feeling like I would be purchasing from them again.2nd time, I came in to get the ammo for my gun (that I did not have time to purchase the first time around). Big 180° this time. Before I showed up I checked their website first to see what my options might be. On the website, it allows you to buy a selection of ammo for each caliber. I found what I wanted online and came in to see if they had any in stock. They did not have either of the two that I liked on the shelf. When I asked if they carry my top choice in the store I got... what I have on the shelf is what I have sorry. When I asked if another ammo that they had was around the same grade of ammo or not... I dont know, I dont know about ammo, sorry. weve got what we got. Sorry. That left me feeling like this is not the place to go, except to buy, sell, or service your gun! The smaller, cheaper gun needs might have to be done somewhere else. There was no mention of their website, or even the possibility to order the ammo that I liked (that just so happens to be sold on their website). There really was no customer service involved here at all. It was just; we have whats there, so figure it out (not in those words). Either way, I love supporting local, so I bought the ammo that I asked about, despite getting no real help with it at all.To wrap it all up (and to be fair) it looked like a busy day in there and I think I heard the guy that, answered my questions say he had just about had it for the day, he was done. Catch anyone at the wrong time (long day, bad day) and you might get a bad experience. So with that, they lost a star from me, as I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that this was an off day. If this is truly a place where only the big purchase matters, and everyone else dose not, I will definitely update this review accordingly. For now, 4 stars.

Came in just browsing. The owner was assisting a lady who wanted a pistol for concealed carry. Two other gentlemen helped me decide on my purchase of a rifle. No pressure, no elitist silliness that you sometimes experience at independent gun shops. An absolutely positive experience all around. They have earned a loyal customer.

I dont have experience with the store, but the archery range is wonderful! I purchased a Groupon to this place for my boyfriend and myself, and I am so glad I went! The staff is amazing; they manage to teach you a lot while still be fun and entertaining. Greg and Bruce are especially exceptional. It was my first time trying archery and thanks to their help I managed to shoot fairly well for a beginner. Im extremely excited to have found this activity for my boyfriend and I to do together, and we cant wait to go back to Shooters Service.

Roger (the owner) is honest and straightforward, and the long-serving staff have always put our interests first. They did custom sizing of bow and arrows for my daughter for no extra charge. Anything I could order online, I order from Roger. Most pistols we own were purchased at Shooters Service. On top of that, they have a certified Glock Armorer on staff (Mark) who is extremely helpful with any Glock service needs. Highly recommend!

Took a group of 15 adults there for an afternoon of archery instruction. The range is much nicer than the pictures show and the service was exceptional. Great training, patience and (best of all) fun was had by all. Dont hesitate to go yourself or to bring younger kids / friends along. Really wish that Shooters Service was closer to where I live - cant recommend this place more!

I recently acquired trijicon hd xr sights for a Glock, and called around to seek professional installation, one store I called (which will remain nameless) quoted me $50 for installation.I called Shooter’s Service and Roger was helpful and gave me a quote on installing sights for $10. Ive been going to Shooters Service for at least 8 years or more. Their staff has always been knowledgeable, their gunsmith is old school, and their prices are very reasonable on firearms, both new and used. I have had 5 different weapons serviced by them, and have bought 5 used handguns from them over the last 5 years. Every time, smooth transaction and reasonable prices. Plus they are always able to throw in little extras, like hard or soft sided carry case, combat grips, newer sights, you know whatever extra parts they have in house. The archery range is fantastic and the show room is very nice, pleasant, open and inviting. Their inventory fluctuates with demand but on the whole there is a good variety. Frankly, the shop is a Livonia institution.

I went on a whim because it was somethings different. The archery lessons were so much fun! The person giving the lessons was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people there, but there were like 30 of us, 1 of him. They needed more staff for a crowd that large. They divided the archery area into sections so the beginners on one side, experienced people on the other. This was really nice because you didnt have to worry about slowing someone else down.

Unless u are a regular or look like a hick expect to be basically ignored. They are priced a bit high compared to place a few miles away on 8 mile and beach. This place is easily top 3 in worst shopping experiences Ive had. Even trying to spend a gift card I got they barely give u the time of day.....please shop at a different store. These men are brain dead in how to run a store
